Love the macaroni salad and the Huli chicken. The large size combo is enough to make two meals.

Delicious, clean, and fast ~ but your plate is 75% starches. Your dinner comes with a scoop of rice, an extra scoop of rice ~ and the upgrade gets youmore rice. Not worth it.

Greed will start to have a huge impact on this business. Words can't describe how much I love the number 6. But now the already pricy food is cutting corners and portions have been shrinking dramatically. I used to go all the time and bragged about this place. Now I never go and I'm yelping about it.

I like Hawiian Time I really do, just not THIS one. When you use the drive thru it's in a REALLY wierd place, and when I got up to the window it was situated REALLY high up. So if I was in a truck it would have been fine but my tiny low to the ground car it was a strech. The food was good not as mayo-ey as the 11th Street one but other then that it tasted the same. Now when I go to a place like this I like it if people smile at me when I get handed the food. Maybe I'm expecting to much (?) but with this drive thru lady she didn't even give me a fake smile! It was rather off putting seeing someone in hospitality without a smile!

I've never been a fan of Hawaiian food, but I love this place! The macaroni salad is delicious and I would recommend the #6. I can't remember the name of the dish, but it's chicken with a sweet and tangy sauce. It even has a bit of a kick to it. I will be coming back to try more things on the menu.

This place has so much potential but the food is a complete letdown. My wife and I got take-out. The #5 with beef was bland, the beef was overcooked and quite tough. The vegetables were undercooked. The accompanying teriyaki sauce was not teriyaki but plain soy sauce. The sticky rice was cooked adequately but the macaroni salad was significantly overdressed with cheap mayo and was warm from the proximity to the hot entree or at least I hope that's why it was warm. My wife's beef and rice was also overcooked and lacked any real flavor. Same story with the macaroni salad. The #5 was about $10 and the smaller beef and rice about $7 - so for $17 bucks no drinks and a very forgettable meal. Save your time, your $$ and your hunger for Hawaiian and look elsewhere because this place doesn't cut it...

If you are looking for the best tasting entre dish in Eugene, look no further than the Mana Loa Chicken at Hawaiian Time. This place is unreal!

I'm not sure what is going on at this location but the food quality is getting bad! I used to like it here! A few months ago I was not feeling well all I wanted was the salad from here with chicken and no onion because I can't have them due to allergy to them, I was given extra so I called and the girl wasn't so nice on the phone. I was how ever allowed to exchange my salad. I still went back a few more times and the quality seemed disappointing. The meat seemed like it was old, and the lettuce wilted. About 2 weeks ago my guy and his friend ate here and they both felt sick after eating here. My guys friend said he felt sick for 2 days. Now last night another friend came over and said he had just came from this location and was feeling sick to his stomach and wanted to vomit. He said the meat did not taste right and it was small and seemed like it was day old or something! All he could think of was not wanting to throw up the mac salad! We gave him tums to help and told him of what happened with all of us! We hope something changes because it used to be good here!!! I don't know is it lazy employee's?

Love this place. Went thru the drive thru and got home with the wrong order. I called and they said come back and it will be ready with the right order. I went back and it was. Not even 10 minutes later it was hot and ready no questions asked. Thank you.

Went through the drive thru today, and when I got home, my order was wrong. I like most of their entrees, so it's not worth going back to fix it, but I still would rather have had what I'd ordered. The food is delicious, but it seems like they skimp on the meat much more than they used to, stretching it with more rice. I wish they'd raise prices and pile the meat on. Still a good place for a quick meal, but not what it used to be.

Another location for Hawaiian Time! So i've found a few reasons to put up ANOTHER Hawaiian Time review. Like other locations, this place is clean and Aloha'd out. Like the Coburg location, this spot also sells Off the Waffles. Careful though, we ordered 4 and waited almost 20 minutes for them...that wasnt to fun. What I do like is they have a drive through! SWEET!!! Another way to be a little bit more lazy...while eating piles of teriyaki chicken, rice and mac salad. Which are pretty damn good! For once, I did try something new. I had the #6. I cant remember the name, but it was a spicy dish. It was a nice change from my normal Teriyaki Chicken, it wasn't burn your mouth hot, but a creeper type spicy. Just right. Short and sweet review on this place!

I went to this location for the first time today and was surprised how clean and fresh it looked inside. No menu up on the wall which I thought was kinda weird but they had nice printed menu/brochures to take/look at so that was helpful. The drive thru had a line so that's why I went in. Wish I had just went thru the drive thru, they seem to really move the cars quickly/spend a lot of attention on the drive thru. Due to that I waited longer than I should have and my food got placed in the drive thru food line up. When they realized it was a lobby order they gave it to me. At that point I didn't want food that was sitting for so long. A manger quickly came to help. He was VERRRRY nice and responsive and quickly turned a bad experience into a positive. I was pretty impressed with his response to the situation so I give him a 5 star rating!!!!

More like SALT time. Not bad food, just way too salty for my taste. Not a fan. Go here if you like your food on the salty side.

I've been eating at various locations for years. Yesterday I did a pick up and got the All'i (x-large) size portion to have leftovers. The other three orders were normal size. When we compared it turns out that for a couple of extra bucks all I got extra of was white rice, the meat portions were identical. The food is still tasty and I'm a fan, but I can't help but feel a little ripped off.

Hawiian Times night was something my family looked forward to every week or more. After being a faithful customer for several years and going to every location in Eugene and the one I know of in Portland it saddens me to post this review. Over the last year (maybe a little longer) the quality of the food and portion size has declined while the prices have increased. The last time we were there three of us ate and agreed that we could have gone to Olive Garden (or almost any other casual restraunt) for roughly the same price. For me, Hawiian Time has basically priced itself out of the market for me. If you think i am being unfair here several of Hawiian Times menues are posted online and you can see the price increase over the last year. Most entrees were under seven dollars for regular size a year ago, now most are nine dollars or more. I'm not a math major but I think that is simewhere close to a 30% increase. A previous reviewer said that there was no difference in portion between the large size and regular, other than one extra scoop od white rice. Well, that is an accurate and honest assement. Now I will ask you, is a scoop of rice worth $2? As for the quality, the food has become hit or miss compared to a year ago. My last order was half meat half gristle whoch as far as I'm concerned is far from high quality. The fact of the matter is that Hawiian Time has gone from my favorite go to pick up dinner on the way home place to me saying "yeah that place used to be good" as I drive past it. Unfortunately I must say aloha to Hawiian Time.

Have always been a fan of Hawaiian Time, but as some others stated the portions have gotten smaller while the prices have gone up. With an XL you do only get more rice, and also the service has always been bad, and after asking for more teriyaki in the drive thru they usually do not give you more and literally give you 1-2 tiny containers per meal. Wish they would go back to original quality and pricing.

I love their food, but their service was crappy. I got my food through the drivethru, and as I make it up to the window the young man (probably high school age) literally says "Hey," and then stands there and doesn't even say the total one more time.

My son raves about this place and he's right - Delicious teriyaki. Definitely would come here again.

I'm writing a view for the River Road location because it's the closest to me, but it really applies the same for all of them. I was hooked the first time I had Hawaiian Time. They had built this location a few years back when I was maybe a sophomore or junior in high school. The Huli Huli chicken was the first thing I've ever ordered, and the only thing I've ordered yet. Unlike Ron's HH chicken, this marinade is savory and sweet in a perfect combination. Pair that with some perfectly cooked (not mushy) rice, more of their sauce, and the best macaroni salad I've ever had, and you have a meal (or two) to keep you happy. I'm prone to using a lot of sriracha on the chicken, and I eventually started putting it on the mac salad as well (it's REALLY tasty!) Just writing this review is making me crave it. They have a $5 student special on week days from 11-4 where you get a small order of HH or Mauna Loa (sp?) chicken, rice, and mac with a drink. It's still a fair amount of food, so if you're a student in the area and hungry, I'd definitely recommend it over Carl's or McDonald's. However, their regular or alli size is something to get if you're eating out and want leftovers for later. The River Road location is very, very close to the high school though, so I would warn you from heading over there in between 11 AM and noon, if you're like me you wouldn't like being surrounded by obnoxious students as you eat some of the best Hawaiian style food in Eugene.
