As always, had a great experience eating at the Chipotle on Coburg Rd. The food is extremely fresh and tasty and the staff are beyond friendly at all times. Since this is the only Chipotle on Eugene as of now, please be patient when you go in during rush hours as they get super busy. The staff works very hard to make sure the line moves quickly and everyone gets their Chipotle cravings satisfied. I've been here countless times and have never been disappointed.

This is a fast food place akin to Qdoba or Subway. There's a counter where you order, and your food is shuffled down the line as you pick and choose the ingredients to add. Food: pretty good for the price, and they don't skimp. Qdoba has better sauces and salsas, but the rest of the ingredients are just the same. The service is just ok. This is where my complaints come in. They had six people working the line. That's six different plastic-gloved hands that handle my taco. It seemed like overkill. Some of the line staff were just standing around, anxiously awaiting their turn. Also, they were firing questions at me faster than bullets. Are these kids on speed? My taco was ushered thru that line faster than the Flash. For some, this may be awesome, but for me, it felt rushed. If you want better food and counter service for the same price, go to Burritos Amigos.

Establishment was clean and food seemed fresh, but it lacked flavor in my opinion. Not a lot of options for toppings on the burrito and the carnitas were dry. I think we will stick to our regular burrito place just down the street at Oakway Center.

Not the best chipotle out there but certainly still a great place for a quick bite! The staff here is always very friendly and is pretty quick putting together your edible masterpiece! The place is always clean and conveniently located next to some shops and just a 10 minute drive from the mall.

There is better and more authentic Mexican food in Eugene. Many more places of which I look to explore. One doesn't come to Chipotle for authentic Mexican. One comes here for the burritos of which they are hearty and healthy. This is dependable healthy fast food. I have been to Chipotle in OR, CO, FL, and even London. You pretty much know what to expect when you go to one. I admire their commitment to becoming more conscious and environmental aware in a time where need for this is necessary! I would much rather see the spread of Chipotle than the golden arches with cheap meat hamburgers. Ever seen Morgan Spurlock's "Super Size Me"? I also admire Chipotle's recent buy one tofu sofrita get one burrito for free day recently that had a huge line for the duration me and my friends enjoyed our dinner there. The tofu sofrita is vegan yet prefer the veggie burrito minus the dairy w/ guacamole. Chipotle continues to evolve it's menu and it's vision in a positive direction!

Love chipotle and all it has to offer! You know what your getting if you ever been to a chipotle before. We love this chipotle because the people are always so friendly! Always have and always will be a regular here!

  • Mae Z.

I have been here many times, and the food is simple, but very flavorful and delicious! I would give five stars, but there are a few things that bother me. For those who are vegan or vegetarian, you will pay the same price as chicken, for a tofu or veggie meat replacement, which doesn't seem right. Also, they have a burrito, taco, salad, or burrito bowl; all of these are the same price as whatever meat or meat replacement you choose, even though the quantity of the ingredients differ. Other then the pricing being a bit off, the taste and quality of the food is always savory. Their service is wonderful as well, they know how to keep the line moving, and this place is usually always packed.

We were disappointed in the service and the food. The line was slow, multiple people moving our food down the line asking same questions. We had a gift certificate that clearly stated, "2 Burritos, salad, bowls, or tacos including drinks, chips and guacamole " but when we got to checkout we were charged for the chips. When we questioned the cashier her response was "that's what it is, I scanned it, I can't, don't know what to do" we then referred to the card and again she stated she didn't know how or what to do. She was clearly agitated and flustered about being questioned, so we moved on. It's not about the money, but the attitude of the cashier. Then on top of that our food was stone cold.

Every single time I've been to this location, the people are so friendly, and quick. The food is delicious, as the menu and all sorts of combinations of tacos and burritos. The restaurant is decently spacious, and my favorite, the area to grab sauces, napkins, straws, ect.

I've been to chipotle dozens of times and have never even thought about writing a review for it......until my experience last night. My boyfriend and I arrived to chipotle at about 8pm, (2 hours before closing), to a fairly empty restaurant. There were only two other people there eating. We stood in line and waited to be greeted so we could order. One girl was making two burritos for what I assumed was for a to-go order. There was a guy standing next to her talking to her and one other guy standing behind the counter cooking some rice. We stood there staring at them for about 10 minutes. All of them looked at us but no one said one word. Not "I'll be right there" "hi how are you?" "You ready to order?" Nothing. It was SO awkward. Finally the guy in the kitchen walks around to the front and I think "oh good he's going to help us" but does he? No. He tells the other guy who was standing there talking to help us. Awkward again. So he does, first words are, "what do you want?" Alrighty then. So we start to order and my boyfriend gets a burrito and instead of asking me what I want he says "you're going to share this, yeah?" Uhhhh nope we weren't. Soo I order. Chicken quesadilla. After that we order chips, yada yada, and two margaritas. We go sit down (without my quesadilla because it's taking FOREVER) and wait and wait. I keep walking over to see if it's ready and nothing. We sit down and finally the guy walks over and says "I guess I'm just your server now" haha huh? I've been waiting and you were taking forever so I sat down. After we are halfway done with our food our margaritas get there. Don't know why that took so long either. We finished, bussed our table, and walked out the door with not a word from anyone. No "have a nice night" or "thanks for coming in!" To be honest, food was great as usual. Customer service though? If I could give no stars for that I would. Two seems fair though since I inhaled all my food. The experience was just so bad I think I laughed all through dinner. It was so awkward and odd to have people be so unfriendly!

This was our first visit here. Loved the food, fast service and smiling faces. When we arrived there were about 12 or so people in line... we were walking away from the counter with our food in about 5 minutes! Great healthy options We will be back!

Every single time I go there, the staff is remarkably rude. It's seriously one of the weirdest atmospheres ever. They make me feel like I'm inconveniencing them because I'm ordering food. Food is good, but they really need to figure out how to speak to customers, I'm not alone in my thoughts, a few others have had and mentioned similar experiences!

Normally when I have gone to Chipotle restaurants I have had good experiences, but tonight was the worst experience I have ever had at a fast food type restaurant. When I want up to order, I ordered a tofu-based burrito that was full of sauces. Normally they will take the time to drain some of the more liquidy parts of the sauces, but this time they didn't take the time and put a lot of liquid into the burrito. When it came time to fold the burrito in tin foil and pack it up, the guy who tried to fold it couldn't fold it properly because the person before him overfilled the burrito and it was full of watery sauce. While he was trying to fold it, a good portion of the ingredients spilled onto the make-line and he tried to scrape them back in with his hands. After failing a few times and after making a pretty big mess, he said that he was going to try to make a new one, which he ended up tearing in a few different places. Eventually I just asked for a bowl instead of a burrito because it was taking too long and i was getting tired of watching him botch the burrito. He took the bowl and went back to the remains of the first burrito and began to shovel the less-than-appetizing mess into the bowl instead of making a new, clean, one. At that point I said that I couldn't take this and I walked out. It was frustrating to watch someone who is hired, payed, and trained, struggle at making a burrito that much. Also, he never apologized for messing up or for taking extra time. Above that, he seemed pretty calm and nonchalant about the whole ordeal, which makes it seem like this level of failure is normal and acceptable, which it shouldn't be. 1-Star, not because of the food, but because of this stores customer service and general uncaring. Also, guacamole costs over $3 to add, and they only put a dollop of it on the burrito.

5 stars for gmo free (hopefully mostly anyways) Prices are a bit much but I love how you can load up on veggies & whatever else you're craving! Just like any chain place it's not perfect

Out of my three experiences with the Eugene Chipotle I have yet to leave happy. I have gotten the same cashier every time and she is one of the main reasons for not returning. (Black hair, blue eye liner) She's openly rude to customers as well as employees, even going as far as to being a complete snob, and snap at her manager in front of me while he tried to assist her.

I have always really liked Chipotle and I get the same thing every time, burrito bowl with barbacoa beef and guacamole ($1.95 extra). I never minded paying the extra for the guacamole because they really do give you a huge serving of it. The last two times I have been to Chipotle have been in Eugene and I will not be returning again. Hard to know if the problem is this particular franchise or if the reduction in food quality is a chain wide issue. These last two visits the beef has been fatty, this is hard to tell until you start chewing and then have to spit it back out. and the amount of guacamole is pretty sad. If you need to charge more for guacamole do so, just don't scrape a smear on and act like that is the norm. That said, maybe this is good because it has motivated me to seek out independent Mexican restaurants.

Good quality food at a reasonable price. It tastes like Americanized Mexican food, gentle and inviting. If you get a burrito you will be stuffed and their bowls are a lighter option without the large tortilla. They've somewhat recently begun serving brown rice as an option. My main complaint is there's only one cash register so during busy times you may have to wait 20 - 30 minutes by the time you pay for your food. Also, they allow web or telephone orders to jump ahead even if you've been patiently waiting in line. The large portions are a double-edged sword -- it's very tasty so you'll want to eat it all down at once, but it's a better idea to make two meals of it and save half for later.

Good food with fairly big portions. Most items are large enough to share. My wife and I eat here and it cost us a total of about $7. Always add the grilled veggies to your entree. Kids meals are inexpensive and portion sizes are well worth it.

It's a Mexican food Subway shop. Substandard meat, but the place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is reasonable and fast.

You know, I haven't been to a Chipotle in several years. And after eating again for the first time in a while, I realize why I never bother visiting these types of places. They're fine if you don't know any better. But when you do, Chipotle will disappoint you in every way imaginable. Anyone who's ever experienced a San Francisco Mission Burrito would laugh maniacally at the poseur impostor burros they're slanging at Chipotle (feel free to replace that with Baja Fresh/Rubio's/Mucho Gusto, as they're all essentially the same). I mean really, cilantro & lime rice? Seriously? The sickly sweetness of the rice basically describes the flavor profile of a Chipotle burrito -- OVERDOSE. Their rice? Overly sweet. Their toppings (guac/sour cream/salsa) Overly bland (and overfilled!). Their chips? Overly salty. No joke -- their chips looked like they're coated in pretzel salt. And the worst crime of all -- a steamed tortilla! You may as well hit up a Taco Bell if you're just going to get a steamed tortilla. What's a shame is that their meats are actually pretty good. But it's buried underneath a shovel full of bland salsa & guacamole and sugar rice. But wait, there's more! If all that weren't bad enough, they nickel & dime you for everything. Guacamole? There's a charge for that. Chips? There's a charge for that. Salsa? There's a charge for that. I guess if you're in Eugene and are lacking any other choices, then sure, why not.

Had dinner here last night and walked away saying it was just OK. The line moves slower here and the decor has a "bus station" look to it. Not too inviting. The food, as my wife warned me, isn't bursting with flavor. She was right. I had the Carnacoba Burrito and the serving was decent sized. My oldest had a Chicken and Pinto Bean Bowl and she raved about it (she loves Chipolte). At the end of the day, would I go back? Probably, but I still would lean heavier towards Qudoba.

Corporate Mexican food. Some items are cheap but if you build a meal then it is expensive. I am not that impressed with the flavors. Just okay.

Authentic? No. Tasty? Yes I appreciate the calorie count next to the menu options. They have brown rice and whole beans. I had a chicken bowl and Jae had the barbacoa bowl. Both were yummy. At $5.95 each they were moderately priced. We both opted for guacamole which was an additional $1.80 per person. To warrant a fourth star they would need more vegetable options. Grilled onions and peppers just aren't enough. So, for "fast food" this was good, not great. I would definitely eat here again if in the neighborhood and in a crunch for time

  • Matt S.

It's admirable for a chain-fast-food kind of place to list the number of calories on their menu--I'd never seen that before. Pandering to the folks who go in for buzzwords such as "organic" and "sustainable" isn't the worst quality in this type of place either. I had the opportunity to eat a free burrito here a few weeks ago and I liked it enough that I returned a couple of weeks later. Not surprisingly, when I paid for the burrito, it didn't taste as good. Bottom line, It's an American-ized burrito that isn't terrible, isn't great.

One word...Don't!! Why would you go here when Mucho Gusto is down the street. It's the same idea but WAY better... I had the tacos. Looked like store bought taco shells. They add meat of choice. salsa of choice. sour cream. and shredded cheese. I had to ask for lettuce. To make it worse, that's all they had to offer to put on it. Go to Mucho Gusto and have the choice of lettuce or cabbage. two different cheeses. several sauces and salsa. jalapenos. cilantro. They both have guacamole for extra cost. black or pinto beans and rice. My 12 year old son didn't even finish his burrito. That should tell ya something right there!!!!

Someone should rename this franchise The OMG Burrito...LOL! You all have likely seen the burritos at Taco Smell and from your frozen foods section at the market. They look "normal" and you eat them without a second thought. When you get a Chipotle's burrito you get something so massive and heavy that if someone threw it at you, it would deliver some serious hurt! After you eat one your belly will be hurting from the stretching it will get from this huge portion too! For little more than the cost of a $5 sub sandwich, you can eat one meal a day and call it good. Matter of fact call it Very Good as there is a lot of great seasonings to encourage you to eat the whole thing and all those ingredients seem quite fresh to boot. Ordering is super simple as you will see a menu that looks inspired by In-N-Out for ease of reading. Pick your meat and pick your style (burrito, taco, salad bowl, etc.), then watch the server dish it up and assemble it for you from a nice variety of bins holding the ingredients so you can see just what you are getting. I knock off one star as the dining area wasn't spick-n-span clean and that needs some attention but otherwise you won't be disappointed with the food or the service, which is quite friendly. I just hope when you who read this get tempted to go down there, that you will find a place to park as Coburg Road businesses have a real shortage of spots and that's due to them being popular enough to bring in the customers. Chipotle's does all that and leaves you as well-fed as possible too!

I go here once or twice a week. They have the best food here and the people that work here are the greatest. They even have gluten free options for my friend!! Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Eugene for a quick, healthy and tasty meal!

I love Chipotle, and I love this location. Parking in front is a little congested at times, but there is enough parking around the building to get a good spot. Service is friendly and fast. Red hot salsa FTW.

Just wanted to do a quick update on Chipotle. We came here last night and again, it was great. The staff has been friendly every time i've been there (and trust me that's plenty). All the times we've ate in the dining area it has been clean, they do have outdoor seating that i'm looking forward to this summer!! Nice tables with large umbrellas to give you some shade. One TIP I will point out though, is when getting the *Steak* in the evening, take a peak to see how fresh it is. I've been there when they drop it from the grill into the holders. Meat is full of juice and the middle looks tender and a touch pink. Perosnally, that's how i like my steaks. Last night when I got there around 8pm, the steak looked just.......over done. And I've had the steak before and thought, "Hmmm.....Tasted better last time." So i've came to the conclusion, that I take a peak at the steak, and if's its the way i like it, I go with the beef for my meal. If it looks like it's been hanging out in the Mojave for a straight week, I go with the chicken.

My cow-orker loves this place because he can get his burrito just the way he wants - no rice and extra beans. The ingredients are pretty good and the portions are quite large, but dude, ten bucks for a burrito with guac and a small drink?! I'll stick to El Taco Express for as much food at about half that price. They'd earn that third star if it was a better value. My cow-orker joked that there's an "organic tax" built into the price; at least, I hope that that guac was organic, seeing as they charged me $1.80 to add it. Some of you may find it cool that you can order online, pull up in one of the designated parking spots, and have them run your food out to your car. I'll keep my comments about convenience-driven culture to myself.

I love Chipotle. The best place ever! Tastes soo freakin good. I want to eat it every single day. The customer service is meh. But in all honesty, the food speaks for itself. It's incredible. I recommend chipotle for anyone. It's a burrito that tastes like none other. Yee

Chipotle has some decent (though gringofied) burritos and can work for a quick lunch fix... but parking at this location is hellish to say the least. Open until 10pm which is a rarity in Eugene.

Friendly, Fast, Fresh and F'ing good. Not "authentic", but great for what they make. I love the chicken burritos and cilantro and lime rice.

  • Harvey F.

Bland. This isn't the Chipotle it once was. The quality of the food has seriously degraded over the last year. Everything is borderline flavorless, bland, uninspired. The barbacoa last night was overpowered by the brown rice... not good. It was such a disappointment I doubt we will return for a very long time. The food was bad enough it overshadowed the fact they were completely out of guacamole and the general rudeness and uncaring attitude of the cashier.

  • Nevin B.

They get five stars becasue they are part of a revolutionary idea. Getting food from the best possible sources. When I buy a Sofritas Burrito fron them I feel like I can tell the meat industry and Monsanto to kiss me where the sun don't shine. Also the fact that I can get a large burrito for about $6 in a couple minutes. With this in mind I will be back again and again.....

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
