Have you ever walked into somewhere not in the best mood and someone just looked at you and realized that your problem was something else entirely and they went out of their way to help you have a better day? That happened tonight. See my other review for further details of what got us there but, looking forward... Our wonderful server (can you believe I didn't ask her name? I should have but I was tired and frazzled, but she became our hero.) opened up some space for my 3 starving children, memorized our order, brought us hot and fresh food, made us laugh several times, and went out of her way to make us happy. The food was hot, the fish and chips delicious, I kept looking to see if I could see her cape. She brought us boxes without even having to ask, cups for the kids leftover drinks, and chocolate to top off the meal! She helped a stressed mom relax, and we left feeling like we had made a friend. That's how you build loyal customers. :)

As always TONS of amazing food from seafood to fish to chicken to beef! Hefty portions, beautiful views and a great friendly wait staff! I have been dining here for 28 yrs and still love it and the staff!

In my view, things are going downhill here. The service was only adequate. The restaurant was so loud, it was hard to hear. I ordered the 8oz filet medium rare. It came out medium. The potato was nothing better than what could be cooked at home. The veggies were steamed and tasteless. In short, if this were not the only game in town I would never come back. Thank God for the view.

Came for breakfast recently. Had eggs over medium and hashbrowns. Very reasonable breakfast price. Crisp hashbrowns. Strong coffee. Service was awkward. I've been a few times before. The food was good. Service was good. Nothing to write home about though.

This place is such a pleasant surprise. The staff are friendly, the owner is often there in the evening. Basic steak and potatoes fare (at least what we had) but the food was good, and the value can't be beat. Great view overlooking the river. We each had a steak, ribeye for me, new york for my wife. Both perfectly grilled, as ordered, with a nice sear on the outside. Tasty warm sourdough rolls to start.

One of my favorite local restraints, good food, nice view of the river, good prices as well.

This place was pretty good. I wasn't expecting much and I got more than that, though my fish sandwich was kind of bland. The view of the river is really cool and made up for it.

Okay...we went there tonight and the food was AMAZING as usual. The staff...WOW!!! First of all, the lady that sat us practically ran from us to get to the table...didn't say "good evening...follow me....blah blah blah". I was walking slow with my handicapped father so she was 15 feet or more ahead of us. Then...the lady that served us was SO tweaked out it was a bit disturbing. My kids were asking what was wrong with her. She couldn't stop moving, she kept sighing and taking really deep breaths as she walked around the table while blowing her breath on us as she walked by. Her mouth was moving a million miles an hour even when she wasn't talking. She never blinked! C'mon...we need some drug testing or something. This is embarrassing!!

Really good food, fantastic view above Estacada Lake. We were doing some work in the area and our server was very friendly and able to tell us some of the local history. I would go back, you won't be disappointed.

Wife and I had a great meal with excellent service. Bonnie was awesome. The clam chowder and homemade salad dressing was excellent. Wife had filet that was as good and tender as any fine dining place I have been to and I had stuffed prawns which was also very good. Would have given it a 5th star but steamed veggies, while fresh cut, had no seasoning and when we visited no homemade deserts when everything else was amazing fresh.

This place is classic Estacada, complete with black and white photos lining the walls of the Clackamas area back in it's glory days. And, it has surprisingly excellent food, all made from scratch. Great breakfast (chicken fried steak, eggs benedict, etc), great bloody marys, decent beer selection, burgers & fries, fish & chips, and these steak tip things smothered in bearnaise sauce that are delicious. Sit in the bar with the super friendly bar staff and watch the big screens (they will always put on whatever game you want to watch), or sit on the other side in the family friendly atmosphere with big windows overlooking the river (or the reservoir that is Estacada Lake). An all around great place and my favorite in Estacada. FYI: Yelp seems to put it on the map in the wrong place. It is on the south side of the highway on the very southeast end of town (right where 211 and 224 split).

I live in Estacada and quit going to the Caz because the prices on the menu kept going up and the quality of food going down. After not going in for several years we revisited the Cazadero about a month ago. The servixce and the staff were great. We ordered the chef salad (whichs was fantastic) and teh seafood basket. What a disappointment. Everything tasted frozen and out of a box. Very disappointing fue to the fact that the halibut used to be so fresh and one on my favorites. The water tasted like rusty pipes and I could not even drink it. I have lived in Estacada for 20+ years and the restaurant has never been updated. The carpet is worn and the walls and decor could definately use updates. This could be a top notch place with some updates to the building and the food. The river view is amazing.

We were passing through Estacada and asked a passer-by for a recommendation. She recommended the Cazadero Inn, which turned out to be an excellent recommendation. The place looks dated, but the service is excellent, the food as advertised, and the view of the Clackamas River unsurpassed. The restaurant is situated in an unpromising strip mall (one of two side-by-side) on Highway 224 in the old lumber town of Estacada. The menu is definitely all-American, but with some imaginative twists, including a shrimp with avocado sandwich called "The Avocadian." The building is split into a bar/restaurant on the right, and a restaurant-only on the left. Each room has a wonderful view of the Clackamas. There's no musty smell as one often finds in such places. The bar/restaurant sports large screen televisions tuned to sports channels, but the restaurant remains quiet and unaffected. Overall, a good impression for a first visit. It's definitely on our list to visit again.

My first review for yelp! Motivated by the great breakfast here. The main positives were the good presentation, everything fresh and served hot, EXCELLENT Hollandaise on the EB, and VERY modest prices. And the excellent view. We were seated automatically by the view window w/o asking; appears to be their custom. The service was very attentive but a bit stiff and cold. We felt pushed to leave as they kept checking back "Anything else we can get you?..." I forgave this due to the great food, great price, great view. As we left the waitress mentioned the prices were scheduled to go up...

Wednesday Night = Taco Night! In the bar, 2 tacos for $1.50. The tacos were tasting and filling, I was only able to eat 2. The shells were made in house. The Long Islands are decent too. I will be going back for Taco Night!! P.S. only buy what you can eat, they don't like letting people take them home.

The Cazadero Inn has great food and great customer services. The facilities are out dated and unattractive, but the food and the customer service more than make up for it.
