The hubby and I were starving by the time we arrived here. We were supposed to stay at the river, but the guy at Mel Cotton's sold us a tent with NO rods, so we were screwed and had to buy new ones, but it was too late so we had to check in the motel and eat here. We order the appetizer sampler which had prawns, shrimp chips and bbq pork. Then we ordered the beef and mixed veggies and the chicken with mushrooms. Both were ok, but I was questioning of what I ate was beef. Or was it not fresh. I didn't get sick off of the food, but the server was nice and the soda refills were flowing. Note to self: their steamed rice was not good.

Major food poisoning from the combo chow fun. Please use caution.

In the mood for some unassuming broccoli beef, I gave this place a try after a gap of many years. Holy crap! The kitchen's indifference to the fare is palpable. Everything we ordered was covered in thick canned goo. Did I say covered? I meant drowned in it. I have modest expectations of restaurants like this one, but please.

Ok food. Got the wonton soup which was good. We got beef and broccoli which was salty but good. Place hasn't been updated, but overall experience was good.

Hot & Sour soup was ok, fried rice was just ok, but the Kung Pao Chicken was so salty I could barely eat 1/2 of it. I won't return here or recommend. I ate hear a couple of years ago and it was much better, but even then it was nothing to write home about. There are other Chinese restaurants nearby that I will try the next time I'm in the Corvallis area.

This place used to be awesome! What happened? Last few times my fiance have been here the food has been awful. They suddenly started deep frying everything! I ordered seseme chicken and they brought out a plate of what tasted like Chicken Mcnuggets with dipping sauce on the side. Just plain laziness. I bet you I would have got the same thing if I ordered sweet and sour chicken just with a different sauce. Sorry, it may be a while before we come back.

I only go for there eggplant with garlic sauce, it is amazing! The plates are huge! The service itself is ok. The place itself looks like old dinner on the outside, the inside is not amazing but I will continue to go back just for the eggplant with garlic sauce!

Below average, greasy. Slow when we went. I'm always surprised this place is still open, actually. But, cheap and big portions draws, I guess.

One of the better Americanized Chinese restaurant in town. They have set lunch and dinner that are cheap compare to other restaurants in town. Big portion in a good way, I like it when they give you more veggies... seems healthier and less heavy, you know? A set lunch about $5 for one spring roll, soup, rice and an entree! Fast and good service...

Attention College Students and Value Shoppers! Thats right. I am a fan. For less than a five dollar bill you can get a lunch plate with more than enough food to feed a grown man. It will include a HUGE entrée, rice, soup and spring roll. My personal favorite is the Princess Chicken for lunch to go. Its not the best tasting food. Its not healthiest. But if you are feeding yourself on a budget or want to pig out this place rocks! #CorvSMB

Fast service, huge portions, cheap, but you get what you pay for. Chicken chow mein was greasy, lots of rubbery chicken and very few vegetables. I ate just the noodles and threw away the rest, I don't recommend it. Wouldn't be the first place I tell someone to go in Corvallis.

This place was terrible. Don't go here. Like previous reviewers noted, everything comes covered in canned sauces. No vegetables whatsoever in the fried rice. I'm a little embarrassed I came here, because it looked bad from the outside, dingy on the inside, and then when my plate of uninteresting, greasy food laced with florescent sauces arrived, I was unsurprised.

Good service ,nice menu and big bowls of soup. Try the wonton you won't be disappointed. Also nice seafood entrees.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
