Man, the 101 Burger with Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese and bacon was heavenly!!! The fries were covered with fresh grated parmesan and garlic! Awesome!!!

I am head over heels in love with this place, though the bartender may not feel the same way about me. I apologize for calling Corvallis cute, but I can't help it when you have such low priced drinks and little rules for carding people. Anyways, this place had that upscale romantic vibe that I was dying to find at Enoteca. I came here on the recommendation of my roommate, because she said that this place makes a damn good martini. But this place has so much more! I loved the decor of the place. Dark paneling, lovely chandeliers, the waterfall going on behind the bar. All setting the mood of lust and subtle sexiness. Then the drinks. So many great drinks, it was almost impossible to choose from. There was the delicious blood orange margarita, the tantalizing granite panda (I think...), and the absolutely enticing jalapeño and ginger beer drink. I loved sipping every one of them, though the jalapeño one was my favorite. Though one might get completely lost in all of their creative drinks, they actually do have food here, and it is on par with the drinks. I had the chicken lettuce wraps, and my guy had another helping of mac and cheese. The chicken lettuce wraps were like pulled pork, well sauced and complete melt in your mouth goodness. The mac and cheese also hit the spot, with the crisp cheese on top and pepper throughout the dish. If I could only eat one thing at 101, it would no doubt be their berry cobbler. Although I am a little shamed to admit this, let's blame my unabashed drunkenness, I destroyed this dessert in less than 5 minutes. And I'm not ashamed to say that I fended off my guy from getting more than three bites. So freaking amazing! I am in love! I hope they feel the same way about me, because this is going to be my spot. Especially during happy hour.

No more NTN Trivia but still a great Happy Hour that goes until 6:30. Ice Taps still rule!

Pros: Good food and apps. Cool atmosphere. Happy hour till 630 and again at 10 pm. Chocolate raspberry sin! Cons: Crappy service. Been there on a number of occasions. Service ranges from poor to mediocre at best. When your paying premium prices for food and drinks the service should be exceptional. They really need to hire some new wait staff. Pricey, but the food and desserts have all been delicious.

I LOVE their cocktails. Always creative and usually not too sweet. Their menu could use some work, but overall, not too bad. Go there for drinks and the food is only if you need something to tide you over. The atmosphere is very unique and perfect for a college town. It's a great place to go with your friends so that you can hear conversation, but it's still poppin' busy. Very classy but still has TVs.

Terrible food. The drinks look good, but unfortunately the food taste very old and microwaved. We ordered several plates to share and the only thing that was even edible was the celery from the wings.

Great food. Reasonable price. Outstanding service (Nathan served a lunch meeting/presentation under difficult circumstances and navigated everything better than any staff server I've ever seen... perfect.)

Came in on a Saturday evening with a party of ~20 that had been told we had an area reserved months ahead of time...We waited an hour and still had not been seated together. Our party was scattered in multiple booths or just standing next to them. During that whole time, no service was offered. Not even waters or apps. Then when we finally did get eye contact with one of the servers, the one that had our area came back with a HORRIBLE attitude since we were obviously inconveniencing her. 2+ hours in and we finally got our meals, and the tables we were supposed to have at 7pm, the whole while suffering through the eye-rolling & pen tapping attitude of our server to get our over-priced dinners that were mediocre at best. A few drinks were worthwhile, once we were actually served them. We were not comped anything for the inconveniences or bad service, though we did get a single apology from the server that wasn't even supposed to be helping out in our area. I wish they had name-tags so I could at least let her know personally she was the single bright spot during the 4 hours our party stayed. All in All, we decided unanimously that we would NEVER come back. First time I've been motivated to do a yelp posting, and it's to warn other diners!

Stopped by 101 for HH on a Monday night. Sat at the bar which had a couple small TVs on with the NBA Playoffs, cool. Nice Ice Bar feature to keep your beer cold, pretty fancy for Corvallis. The bartender was friendly, I asked her for a few suggestions and she was very helpful. HH is $3 off Small Plates from 4:30-6:30pm. So I decided to try the Smoked Salmon Crepe, which was DELICIOUS! The crepe had a nice crispiness with fennel and cilantro. Definitely not what I was expecting from a crepe. I also ordered a house salad that came with a blackberry vinaigrette with added goat cheese. I would like to come back and try more of the HH menu, without the $3 HH discount it can be a bit expensive.

By far one of the best bars in Corvallis. The atmosphere is cozy, classy and elegant however you feel comfortable wearing a smart casual (neat but informal) style of dress. I have been here several times and each time the service staff has been friendly and attentive. They are very well educated in their food and drink offerings. The mixed drinks are top notch and a great value during happy hour. The tap list is limited but beers they choose are usually good. The food is superb. Fresh and flavorful but a little on the pricey side, however I believe in paying a little more in exchange for a nice, quiet, tasty meal. Make sure you save room for dessert! They have some of the best desserts in town! (The Cast iron cookie and their cakes are a few of my top picks).

I was really looking forward to eating here. The interior is amazing and very classy for an intimate date. The service was quite slow and the drinks were kind of odd for "mixologist" style drinks. The bartender, mixologist, whatever didn't really measure so that kind of told me something there. Ordered a pasta dish that sounded delicious, but then it arrived with about 50% mushrooms which were not mentioned on the menu. The server was nice about it, but I was surprised they would forget to mention that in an otherwise correct menu description. I might give it another shot, but the drinks were odd flavored as was the food. I'd probably come back to try the drinks one more time cause they did seem to have some booze in them. I think I just had a rough night there.

Came here on Valentine's Day for drinks and appetizers while we were waiting for a table next door at Big River. I really enjoy the atmosphere in this bar, but it's a little confusing when you walk in. There aren't any signs in the entry to let you know how to proceed, which leads to a crowd of people standing and glancing around with confused looks upon their faces. A couple who walked in immediately in front of us snagged a couple of open spots at the bar. This did not make the party in front of them very happy as they had been waiting to sit for 30 minutes and weren't aware that it was first come first serve (I know they had been waiting this long because the woman was very vocal about this inconvenience to the first unfortunate server who passed by). Within minutes, another spot opened up at the bar for us to sit at. I ordered the Matador cocktail and my husband ordered a pint of the stout on tap, which we both really enjoyed. We then ordered the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer, and they were delicious! My next drink was a Bloody Mary, which was pretty decent (I have high expectations with these drinks). We had a nice experience there overall, and in hindsight, I wish we would have just stayed there for dinner instead of going next door.

"Should we go to 101? Is it still happy hour there?" I've found myself in this situation many times before. 101 is fine, but I always walk away underwhelmed. I usually go with folks for happy hour because, honestly, I wouldn't deem it worth a visit unless I was getting their menu at a reduced rate and I had company that wanted to go there. Such was the case last night. I'm underwhelmed, mostly, by the food. While it pops on the menu as sounding inventive and delicious, I often feel let down by it. Last night my friend and I ordered the calamari, the veggie quesadilla, and the primavera pizza. All of these were... okay. Just okay. The calamari was probably the best of the three and largely because of the flavor of the accompanying sweet potato ketchup. The primavera pizza was a step up from dining hall pizza... and that's about it. Our drinks were good, strong, and tasty, though. But what is up with the atmosphere there? I look to my left and I see a waterfall wall behind the bar. There are fish glass cut-outs lit from behind on one wall. There are wooden relief sculptures around the booths. There are gigantic 50"+ LCD TVs in the corners broadcasting football. Wait, what? Is this a sports bar? I'm so confused. The servers have always been nice, but not particularly attentive. All in all, 3 stars because it's... okay. And nothing more.

This is the kind of place you can visit for a nice date, dressed up, but you still won't feel out of place if you waddle in wearing jeans and rainboots. I spent many a Friday afternoon here for happy hour ($3 off the delicious small plates!), and despite the fact that we nerds were a boisterous bunch, the waitstaff was always very kind, and never rude about the inevitable clusterf*ck that is trying to split checks amongst a cadre of broke college kids. As much as I love Block15, 101's happy hour has a better variety of munchies, and the beer selection is good enough that you don't feel like you sacrificed libations for the sake of vittles. Also you can actually have conversations with people without having to shout! That is a rare gem for a bar in a college town. 101 is where it's at - if you want to avoid the crowds, and the drunken frat-boys, and the too-greasy bar food that often ends up being the crux of all happy hours, come here. You have to try the cast iron skillet chocolate chip cookie. Everything here is wonderful, but that cookie is the stuff dreams are made of. I recognize that most people don't go to a bar for a cookie, but seriously. Every cookie you've ever had in your life is a lie - THIS cookie is truth, and goodness. It takes about 20 minutes to come out, but that crispy-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside, sizzling, melty, ice-cream-topped behemoth is worth the wait.

Visited this one during the day, when it was quiet and not too busy. Best time to do so. Found out they have Pilsner Urquell from the Czech Republic on tap, so that's the biggest draw for us. The food portions and selection were okay, not large, but prices weren't too good, except during daily happy hour. I believe it's 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. every day and the Pilsner is only $3.00 at that time. Nice, classy, and comfy decor. Good service, nice staff. They, probably along with Big River, even have free valet parking, due to the mess created by the new building across the street. When you're ready to leave, tell your waiter/tress and your car will be waiting when you get outside. Nice touch. Be sure to tip the staff and the valet well! Will go again.

I love their new Happy Hour menu esp. the cocktails! Fun and different. Love during OSU football home games when the marching band travels through around 8-10 to play the fight song. True college spirit in Corvallis and a classy low-key atmosphere!

Awful service, so-so food. There wasn't anyone but us in the restaurant. We waited 45 minutes for our food before getting fed up and walking out. Waiters drag your orders so you buy more drinks and increase their tips. Don't support this trashy business. You won't have much difficulty finding a better place to eat in Corvallis.

Stopped in with a friend for a drink. The bartender was attentive (Jared? maybe). The drinks were perfect. I recommend the Matador. Just enough sweet with the spice. YUM. I will return when I am in Corvallis.

Best "gastro pub" in Corvallis, and I'm a local and have been to all the other pubs in this town on more than one occasion. Creative dishes , great drinks and restful, kind of arty atmosphere. Some items on the menu seem to change about once a month, so there's always something new.The service has always been great every time I've been there. And, this is important, the chairs are very comfortable. There's a few bars in this town that are very good, but the seating is so uncomfortable you can't stay too long. My Hubby likes all the sports on the flat screen TV's, I'd rather have no TV's, but at least the volume is off.

Never had worse service than the 2 times I went here. The drinks had no alcohol in them and were served with the check, as if we didn't deserve a second round. This happened twice to me. Once, the bar was crowded, but the second time, it was empty. Even in an empty bar, we had to beg for service. Both times, we were dressed in normal Corvallis attire (fleece...) and were absolutely well-mannered. They servers were just absent-minded and even rude.

Kalee really takes great care of us! She's a big reason why we come to 101. Give her a raise!

I was completely unimpressed with this place after several trips. I really like the look of the restaurant inside. It is cozy and not too loud. The seating is fairly comfortable. This place is great for 1-4 but if you are with any kind of group it really doesn't have a way for the group to sit together. The staff is friendly and nice but slow and inattentive. The food is really hit or miss but mostly miss. It is the only place I have been in my entire life that can make a gross macaroni and cheese. The food menu is trying too hard to be hip and forgot to be tasty. The drinks were above average in taste. Overall I would rather go somewhere else but if my friends are going I go along for the ride.

Have had drinks several times at "101", which adjoins Big River, where we usually eat. It is a nice bar, the decor is chic, with waterfalls behind the bar and modern furnishings. There are big screen TV's around to keep up on happenings in sports and news. The drinks are very good, but not necessarily inexpensive. Have never had any issues with the service.

I came here with some friends for drinks and dinner after getting the cold shoulder from Big City next door. The crowd was pretty subdued on a Friday night, which might have had something to do with the Olympic Women's Curling on the giant TVs on the walls. 101 has a modest selection of beers on tap, a really interesting frozen strip built into the bar that you rest your glasses on, and a menu of some fancy versions of normal sports bar food. This doesn't seem like a place college students hang out, it's more targeted toward the hip 20-30s crowd where you don't have to shout to be heard by others at your table. Some of the dishes seemed a little pretentious, like the caesar "salad" (which was a romaine heart drizzled with caesar dressing waiting for you to cut it up), but they were pretty tasty. The burger was good and my friends enjoyed the pork sandwich. All in all, 101 is a nice place to meet up with friends over a few drinks and decent food.

I like it with the family in the spacious corner booth out of the way of other with my young family "yes the TV helped to keep them at bay also. " The food and drinks where good and the iron skillet cookie is the best a must have. For a bar in Corvallis it has a fun little night life to it also in the late hours with your buddies. I call it a winner. The only negative I would say is more local wines. Service was good and everyone was nice. #corvsmb

Another great evening of cocktails and appetizers at 101. They have so many items under $10.00 to fill you up, my friends and I can never decide. Their gourmet pizzas are fresh, flavorful, and loaded with fresh cheese, tomatoes, and whatever you want! As I said before, their martinis are great to the last drop - chilled just right, never warm. Or, as we like them, shaken not stirred.....

A really fun place to hang out. A bit expensive but not as expensive as their sister restaurant (Big River) next door; I'd rather hang out here then there. Good drinks; good food. A bit pricey.

Grilled Caesar Salad is da Bomb! Which means it is good. I get cravings for it... Good burgers. Miss the duck meatballs and truffle fries... Small plates are also well crafted and yummy. Nice ambiance, which for me means I can watch the wall-o-tvs if I want or ignore them. Have come here with bigger parties and we were still well looked after by staff. Recommend it.

This is one of my favorite spots in town! I really like the atmosphere and the tasty cocktails (blueberry tart is my fav). Even though I'm not a fan of Big River and the food is on the spendy side, what I've tried has been pretty good.

Love this place! Great happy hour discounts off of the great small plates. The pommes frites (fries) are to die for. We always succomb to the pulled pork nachos too. Terrific ambiance with a wall of falling water behind the bar. TVs galore tuned to sports. Buzztime trivia is available too. Gets crowded and noisy at times. Service is friendly.

I give one star for good drinks and food and the other for good service. I went there with 8 of my friends. Half of these woman were over 45 and the other half were a little younger. We had a few martinis and were being a little loud. You get 9 woman together, there is gonna be some noise! Someone went to order another drink and the waiter told us that he had been pulled aside by the manager and was told that he couldn't serve us any more drinks. No one was drunk or out of control. No one had more than 2 martinis and some of us didn't even drink. Why wouldn't the manager come over and let us know that we were being too loud and ask us to be a little more curtious of those around us. Managment handled the situation so wrong. We talked to the manager and he pretty much ignored us. It was too bad how acted. None of us will ever go back again. This is not the place to go if you want to have a good time with some good conversation with friends. It's very quite and low key.

I like this place...it gets the 4th star for the nice atmosphere and the beer glass chiller that wraps around the bar. Nice drinks, same menu as Big River next door, but less stuffy. More of a tapas and drinks kind of crowd here.

I can't say enough good things about the food, service and drinks at this place. Walk in and you're greeted with friendly service and an ambiance that's extremely relaxing. I absolutely love the "waterfall wall" behind the bar, the chilled bar top and taps, along with the homemade bread, the incredible, and very unique, nachos (order and you'll see) and my personal favorite, the on-tap Rogue Hazelnut Beer. This is bar-none THE best way to relax after a long work week.

101 has great food and drinks. Their fries are fantastic. Groups of us have gone in, and almost always had great luck with our orders. They used to have the best banana split ever made, since the creation of the banana, but they took it off their menu. Why? I don't know. They need to stay open late. Big River can close early, because they are a restaurant, but 101 needs bar hours.

Well I decided to go back and give 101 another chance and I am glad that I did. The service has dramatically improved as I did not have to wait long for food or drink refills. The food was excellent as usual and the waiter was extremely attentive to our needs. As long as this service keeps up, 101 will have me as a customer.
