Cute little coffee shop. I really liked the atmosphere, very laid back. I got a breakfast sandwich on a bagel with egg, cheese, tomato, and avocado. It was good. My boyfriend got the BLT and said it was good too. The Chai tea was fantastic! The space itself could use some updates, but for the price and quality of food I would go again.

Stopped by after a year or two, I remember it being so much better - service was really slow and the chai was way to sugary I could only drink about 1/8th of it, 2 right in the trash. What happened to the giraffe painting :( ?

My wife and I, along with another couple, decided to hit Astoria for a short weekend get away. When we arrived, we wanted some coffee and saw this place. The place itself is very small. And if there is a line, you might be waiting outside. But obviously it's worth it if people are waiting in line for it. The cost was the first thing we noticed. It is very reasonably priced for coffee. Especially for additional shots. The price almost made us think, "Can this coffee be any good at those prices?" We are obviously brainwashed because the coffee was amazing. So much so that we came back the next morning because we just HAD to have more. We actually have joked about it when we have gone on vacation elsewhere and had coffee. "Ugh, this is nice coffee. But I wish it was 'Rusty Cup' nice." The people behind the counter obviously know the people that live and work in this area and were addressing them by name. If a place has a good group of regulars, they must be doing something right!

I will be going here every time I visit Astoria. Or whenever I'm passing close enough to justify stopping in. They have the most delicious beverages and really, really friendly staff. A delightful place! I highly recommend the Pumpkin Pie Chai. It's FULL of flavor, but not too sweet. Also, I'm never a fan of coffee, but my friend ordered a dirty chai, and the barista recommended using white coffee for a more balanced taste. It was delightful!

Cheap, simple, good, and with healthy options. We had sandwiches (around $5.00 !!) and smoothies here and it really hit the spot.

Got a chicken and avacado sandwich, and a hot chocolate. The sandwich was swimming...SWIMMING in sauce when I got it, let's call it more of a soup then a sandwich. I reluctantly finished the whole thing, finding only small remnants of chicken chunks floating around in the battle between mayonnaise and some other "sauce". Truly a disappointment. Feels like kind of establishment where only the employees friend's get top service. For instance one of the waitresses/cooks friend stopped in after I ordered and she made him a meal "on the house" in front of me.

Great coffee and bagels for a great price, conveniently located in the small intestine of Downtown Astoria. This would be an excellent place for an out-of-work fisherman or cannery worker to sit down, drink a few Americanos, and write his hipster manifesto.

Has good stuff but its pretty dirty. Needs a good cleaning (flies stay around for something) and a makeover. Seems like owners kinda dont care.

if the white mocha i ordered wasn't so delicious, this would be a one star review. the only time i have been here was when we stopped into to grab some coffee and food to take to the dog park. there was no one waiting on food, and no one in front of behind us when we ordered. yet, it took 10 minutes to get our order and leave. the person we assume was the owner or manager was very unprofessional. she made me feel very uncomfortable and i would not go back for that reason. the cafe was a mess and looked like no one has ever cleaned it up. we ordered bagel sandwiches from a sizable menu and after about 5 minutes i realized there was no "kitchen" and our eggs and food were being prepared in a microwave....... i will not go back.

I live in Seattle but was in need of good coffee for the long drive home. Mmmmmmm, tasty coffee (I'm a pretty tough critic). I like my coffee super smooth and rich...and it was. The price was good too. I spent half of what I spend in Seattle for an Americano.

Always an excellent cup of coffee or latte at The Rusty Cup! A convenient location near other shops and restaurants, parking is almost always available nearby. A favorite spot when visiting Astoria.

Great cup of espresso. While espresso drinks were first class, the service was not pretentious at all, and that is a hard find. They have free delivery to downtown locations!

Whimsical little local shop. I stopped in and got a soy latte which was tasty, quick and served with a smile. Thanks!

Located right next to the historical Liberty Theater, for years during my youth and young adulthood, this space was home to Columbia Chocolates. They made the best caramel corn! Now it's a fabulous coffee spot. Small and cozy with some great brews and friendly service. I fell in love with coffee after I moved to Portland in 1989 and when I go home to visit Astoria these days I know I can get my fix at the Rusty Cup. Go forth and enjoy!

Good java, great baked goods. Very inexpensive. Friendly service. Not a whole lot of room if you're looking for somewhere to set up shop and work for a bit. We would totally go again.

I stopped in for lunch and ordered a Moroccan Chicken Panini Sandwich. The service was good and I got my food in about 10 minutes. The food was also good although a side of something would have been nice. It only cost $4.50 for I can't complain. The atmosphere was nostalgic and cozy. This place is mainly a coffee house, but they do serve sandwiches too. This could be a place I would visit again.

Damn good coffee at a reasonable price, this little hang out in downtown Astoria is staffed by a wonderfully nice barista, has lots of games and places to sit, and is ideally located in the middle of everything.
