Horrible experience! I ordered a basic breakfast for me and my friend at SOU; she had raved about this place. The waitress was quite surly and told me that because I ordered biscuits and gravy, I would not get any toast as the biscuits counted as a "Bread" item. The polenta was so hard, I banged it against the table and it made an audible noise but didn't break apart. The only thing I could eat was the eggs after dousing them in Tabasco sauce and left the rest of the plate uneaten. I hate wasting food but this stuff was inedible; I don't get the attraction here. I should have went to Denny's where I could have had a much more satisfactory meal for half of what I paid at this pretentious eatery! With toast! The coffee was burned and sucked too! I live in CA and will never go back to this place when I visit Ashland again.

Giving this place 5 stars because I would hate for the Yelp reputation to decline and I bet it's awesome. So awesome that we wanted to come here for breakfast while visiting this weekend. Much to our disappointment, we saw on Yelp that it was closed only to drive past later after breakfast at Breadboard to see that you were open today. Looks like the hours on the Yelp page are only listed for Monday so it will reflect closed on the page every day BUT Monday. Guess we could have called to double check, but we're city folk so we usually rely on the internets for verification. Too bad! We'll stop by next time we're here!

I love this cute little place. Everything I have been wanting to find in a local breakfast place... really nice wait staff, lovely art all over the walls, cute decor and lighting, strong espresso, hot steaming home-made blueberry muffin, perfectly cooked bacon in an amazing fontina cheese omelette! And the waitress added on a fluffy pancake with lemon butter and raspberries for only a dollar extra! Yum, so glad to find this breakfast spot.

Scrambled eggs with black forest ham and white cheddar!!! Amazing!!! They also server some of the best coffee from Berkley. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. A must stop for anyone in Ashland for breakfast or lunch.

My husband and I re-routed our road trip so that we could have breakfast at Morning Glory. That is especially complimentary because I don't usually like breakfast. But! Tomato chutney, smoked cheddar polenta cakes, lemon poppy seed pancakes, homemade marion berry syrup....oooh. Everything is so tasty. Go early in the morning because the wait for a table can get pretty lengthy, though this is one of the few places that's worth waiting for. Plus, they'll give you coffee to make the time pass more quickly. If you're going to Ashland for school or theater, this place is absolutely not to be missed!

So Good! So Good! So Good! This place is awesome! I love it! When I first moved to Ashland I couldn't afford to eat here so I stayed away. But now that I am so much older (4 years) and so much more sophisticated ( I work for a liquor company throwing parties) I can afford it. Everything is good, I have tried it all, but I really like the scrambles, polenta, and specials. The only problem that I have here (review what I do for a living) is if you have a major hangover and need food fast, get here early (hard for the hardcore partier). If your not following me, I am telling you there is a line, usually a long one, so be prepared, but well worth the wait!

Once you get over the need for a fat wallet, you will find few breakfast fare finer than Morning Glory. Traveling with two kids (ages 3 and 5) is really challenging. I think this is the nicest word I can come up with right now. There are only a few tasty options for breakfast in Ashland in my opinion. Morning Glory is always on the top of the list. We have been here each time we roll through Ashland. There is something to be said about how great this place is when I see much of the same staff still happily working their a**es off for at least 8 years or more. This trip found us two adults sharing a smoked salmon scramble, hash browns, and many cups of tasty coffee. The kids menu is quite robust with what seems like an option for every unique taste. Our kids devoured scrambled eggs, bacon and a fluffy pancake. Some tips: - If you think you're going to waltz in there (even in winter) and get seated immediately, think again. Weekdays are much easier to make this happen during Winter but come Spring and Summer you're dreaming. - Relax. Get some coffee from the counter. Wait patiently. - Be nice to your server. They run a small establishment and they work HARD every day. If you're going to be a jerk, might I suggest that you drive north on I-5 about 10 minutes to the truck stop in Talent to eat? No offense to the truck stop in Talent (where I myself have consumed what I think was green eggs and ham in a late night drunken state 8 or more years ago). - They do not make anything 'small' here. The plates are more like chargers that are spilling over with delectable goodness. If you are not going with a voracious appetite and you have a partner or kids, or a good friend you don't mind sharing with then you can and still be satiated.

Sourdough Blueberry Pancakes with lemon butter and hash browns are perfect. The pancakes had a perfect batter and preparation, being airier than usual and minutely crispy, with the blueberry flavor distributed as expected. The lemon butter they came with included some tiny pieces of shredded peel and was the first pancake butter I've had that could have dressed the pancakes alone without syrup. The hash browns were simply outstanding as well, with just the perfect blend of oil and crisp. It's easily one of the best breakfast places I've experienced.

Probably my favorite place to go for breakfast in Ashland. There's usually a bit of a wait, but if the weather's nice it's pleasant to wait in the garden. They have a tiny parking lot and it's usually full, so expect to park on one of the nearby streets if you're driving.

This place isn't just the best breakfast and lunch in Ashland - it's one of the best anywhere! We ate here last weekend on a trip to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and just had an incredible meal. Between the four of us, we had an entree salad, turkey club, breakfast omelette, and eggplant parm sandwich. Our side dishes included incredible french fries and AMAZING cheddar cheese polenta. The breakfast also came with a side of pancakes. This place is charming, the service was polite, fun, and fast, and the food quality was just incredible. The cheddar cheese polenta is not to be missed. Those pancakes were perfect -- just the right texture for a buttermilk pancake with a little chew -- not doughy or grainy at all. My eggplant parm sandwich was great. (This place is a dream for vegetarians.)

Sooooo good! This is our favorite place for breakfast. It can get super crowded on the weekends but know that it's worth the wait. Everything I've ever ordered has been excellent. Good size portions!

The place has loyal, hardcore fans so I give them credit, but I was disappointed as it did not live up to the rave reviews. First, the wait for a table was 30 minutes on a Friday morning, and the food took another half hour to be served for basic scrambled eggs and pancakes. The $$ cost is deceiving, because something as basic as eggs, two small pancakes and bacon (with a small muffin or toast) costs $11. Quite pricey for a basic breakfast. Worse yet, the food is overrated. The pancakes were burnt and thin, NOT fluffy. The bacon was overcooked/too crispy and chewy. The eggs had a sweet aftertaste like perhaps they were cooked with sugar. I've had a more satisfying breakfast at Dennys or IHOP for half the cost and wait. At least the service was friendly.

  • Ignatius D.

Cute place, but very over-priced. The food was okay, good, even, but the prices alone will give you indigestion. No side dishes. Coffee more expensive than Starbucks. Tiny tables trying to trick you into thinking you got more food. Nightmare of a parking lot. I have no interest in eating here again.

After eating at Morning Glory, I felt like I was completely ruined for all other breakfasts. I challenge any of you SF brunch lovers to please point me in the direction of something remotely similar please??!? Pretty please with orange caramel sugar (or whatever nectar they put on their pancakes). I will have to post a picture of the tantalizing rock lobster scramble I had. Mmmm! The only other place I can recall having a comparable breakfast may have been at my Pt. Reyes. Excellent gourment breakfast/brunch at a great price and in a cozy/homey environment. Thumbs way up!!!

Another great meal at one of Ashland's gems. There is a reason it receives four or five stars on nearly every review! Keep up the great work!

This place was excellent! It was the best breakfast I've had in years. Definitely check out their specials; Their Blueberry Buckwheat Pancakes were to die for. The butter they serve and their jam they make is great. If you're in Ashland for breakfast this place is a MUST

So you'll probably hear the same things, but I'm just want to echo the greatness of this cute place. This was so good, my friends and I had to go twice! Sunday mornings are very busy... but the wait was well worth it. There's a li'l front porch swing, and a nice patio in the sun to sit at... plus my friends and I were on vacation, so we didn't mind. They timed the wait just perfectly... 45 mins. No more and no less. I thought that in itself was pretty impressive. The place is very homey and the portions are generous! I got the Chicken sausage, mushroom, spinach omlet both times (cuz it was seriously that good) and had hash browns (yum, to die for)... and their cornmeal raspberry muffins are amazing. Their pancakes were fluffy and perfect as well. Monday morning was a 10 mins wait. Which was surprising, but again... we didn't mind. This time, we waited indoors... in a cute cozy place that felt like a living room. The furniture, the colors, the decor was wonderful, and really makes a person feel like they are having breakfast in their own home. The ladies room was great too. Clean, spacious, smelled great... I have a thing for good bathrooms. Very homey and comfortable. =) Limited parking... but there's a motel next door with lots of parking. I'm hoping they didn't mind. It seemed pretty empty =P.

So very good! The caramelized onions were incredibly sweet and made for the perfect omelette filling. The white cheddar polenta is killer! Ambience is homey and comfortable-just right. I'll go back every chance I get!

  • Rob W.

Came for a lunch after a long hike in the hills...a great place to be with a big appetite! We split the beet and caramelized nut salad (wish the organic beets had been sliced into a little bit larger portions rather than cubed) and a Reuben (perfectly constructed with sauerkraut and a good rye) with Mexican tortilla soup (incredibly rich and tasty). We'll be back for brunch for sure!

  • Tuan V.

absolutely amazing! the food was fresh as can be. I was so impress with the pancakes and the lemon honey butter, along with my chai tea, wow! I had no idea that pancakes were suppose to taste like that. I was there for a business trip, love the food so much I'm flying my wife up next month just for the food.

We just got back from our trip to Ashland and ate here all 3 days for breakfast! I had the Salmon Cakes with Poached eggs, which were delicious! I also tried their Coconut Almond Waffles with their famous Lemon Butter, as well as their Cranberry French Toast. Every one of us totally loved this place!! You will have a bit of a wait, since it's quite popular, but it's well worth it.

Amazing food! We learned that their is one main cook that makes everything from scratch. They are open Sundays but expect a long wait.

  • Michelle V.

Anytime a restaurant has a ridiculous crazy wait, it's a great sign. It would be lovely if they took reservations (they might, I have never asked) but even if they don't you can still visit on an "off" day and not have to wait as long. The food here is delicious and the menu is creative. I've never had a bad experience here and it is very much worth the wait. Service is always polite. I'm excited about their new liquor license so I can have a mimosa with my breakfast next time!

  • Jeffrey B.

Outstanding breakfast/lunch (though we've only enjoyed the former) restaurant about a mile from downtown Ashland. Superlative service - your coffee will never get cold and you'll have to work to get it below the mid-way point of the cup before being offered a top-off. Extensive menu of breakfast items of exceptional quality, freshness, and creativity. Portions are large but for $2 off you can get a half order (and they clearly err on the generous side of half, which can still easily get you, with perhaps a mid-day smoothie or small snack, to dinner). Due to their success, wait time can be long so take something to read/do, but they have a wonderful outdoor area in which to pass the time. Excellent value overall. This is our preferred breakfast stop in Ashland and, elsewhere, is the standard to which we compare other breakfast experiences.

one of the best breakfast places you will find and yes it's in ashland oregon. this came as a huge shock to me as well but i was planning a trip up north and i just had to see what all the fuss was about. amazing! this place is jaw dropping and mouth watering for sure. all of the food is higher quality and you'll just want to order each and every thing on the menu. pros- -it's all good but get there early and do breakfast -bacon belgian waffle with walnut butter -lemon ricotta stuffed french toast -tri tip steak omelet -gingerbread waffle -alaskan crab burger -warm lemon garlic turkey croissant cons- -the specials are to die for but there just may be a chance you don't get to experience it for yourself on that day. pray you can try the corned beef hash or lobster benedict. as you can see the pros win over the cons in a huge way. make this trip asap!

If you have the tastes of a gourmet and the appetite of a truck driver, this breakfast gem is for you. Their lunches also look spectacular, but I've eaten here only 3 times and only for breakfast, because I've never gotten deeper into the menu. Today I had a crab omelette (loaded with crab) with artichokes which amazed me and a mildly cheesy polenta cake on the side which was crispy & delicate. The raspberry lemonade was massive--25 oz at least. Don't expect small portions! My experience with this place may be small (only 3 visits) but I've been here over several years and the results have been very consistent. Oh and one other thing: if the service is slow, chill out with your beverage. They are making every effort to serve every part of your breakfast hot.

This seems to be known as a breakfast place, and now I know why. On the morning my girlfriend and I headed back to Portland from Ashland we ate here. Parking was limited but we had good timing and snagged a spot (apparently they've made an agreement for more parking next door to their restaurant now), and then got in ahead of a major crowd that followed us so we didn't have to wait long, and sipped coffee while we woke up a little more. The menu has something for almost everyone (except for vegans maybe, but they don't count, right?) and the portions are tremendous. Even if you are quit hungry, consider spending $3 extra and having them split the plate for you. Had I known the size of the plates we were in for, I would have done so and just tipped the waitress double as neither of us were able to finish much more than half our plates, and seafood omelets don't travel so well. Service was prompt and friendly despite the fact that they were very busy during our visit, and my coffee cup never got empty. I would happily go back.

This is hands-down the best breakfast restaurant I've ever been to, and I make sure that I eat there every day when I go to Ashland on vacation each year. Living in the SF Bay Area, you'd think we'd have access to some amazing breakfast restaurants, but my husband and I have yet to find a restaurant anywhere that can compete with the quality, flavor, and variety of food here. There are plenty of dishes for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike. In fact, I've never been to a breakfast restaurant that has so many options for everyone. Their grilled white cheddar polenta is the best ever--definitely worth ordering extra as a snack for later. The best thing on their menu is the gorgonzola omelet; their sourdough blueberry pancakes are fantastic, and their specials are always great.

Best breakfast restaurant in Ashland -- maybe the best breakfast restaurant I've been to EVER. The specials are always mouth watering. Highly recommend anything with the Applewood smoked bacon. The pancakes and waffles always have a little something special in them, too.

Bacon Waffle. Lemon Ricotta Stuffed French Toast. Moroccan Oatmeal. Coffee. Service. I love it.

Good food, charming decor -- but be prepared to wait. There was a long line when went arrived at 9 am on a Wednesday morning, and an even longer line when we left. Parking is also very limited. But after you sit down, it's all good. I recommend the waffles and fresh-squeezed orange juice.

I'm generally not a fan of breakfast foods but Morning Glory has converted me. I now have dreams about breakfast foods thanks to Morning Glory. I had the salmon omelette with yukon potatoes and the dish was huge! I ordered the buttermilk pancakes as my side item (which was included in the price of the omelette) It came with a lemon butter scoop, which complemented the pancakes perfectly. My friend had the walnut butter on his bacon waffle which was also delicious. If I didn't live 8 hours away, I could definitely see myself going there every weekend for an incredible breakfast. The food also comes with great atmosphere and service. And yes, the coffee comes in a huge mug, which is important for coffee-aholics like myself.

Good selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. Full espresso bar, and a selection of beer, wine, and other drinks as well. Simple, delicious, and well prepared food! Go hungry and patient, believe me it is worth the wait!

  • Lindsey H.

What a find! This place is small and if your not paying attention you'll drive right by the parking lot, but it was well worth the doubling back and the wait. I believe we waited for approximately 30 minutes but there were plenty of books and magazines to read while you were waiting. The place was packed but the waitstaff was efficient. The atmosphere inside was cozy and the garden outside was quaint. The food was delicious!

Went to Ashland from the Bay Area for the Shakespeare Festival last year and happened upon Morning Glory. We ate breakfast there every day after that (each day I tried something different). Love that they serve that lemon butter with their pancakes. We wanted to try their lunch, but we were always full from their breakfast. Every town should have a Morning Glory.

Every year my friends and I go camping in Oregon over the Memorial Day holiday. Every year, after a week in the woods subsisting on nothing but grubs, moonshine, and miner's lettuce we return for breakfast at Morning Glory. Some of us have moved as far away as New York or that other New place... Kiwi something or other. (New Zealand ) and after nearly eleven solid years we keep coming back here. We don't do it cause we're set in our ways, we keep coming back because this place is one of the most remarkable breakfast places on the planet. One thing that sets it apart is that with most meals you get two additional meals added on for free. you heard me right, lemme explain. On Tuesday I ordered the Crab Omelet with Artichokes, parmesan, scallions and garlic cream. That alone would be a complete meal at ony other place on the face of the earth. But not at Morning glory. You can order your choice of a palette-load of Hash browns, huge wedges of cheesy polenta or pancakes. I ordered the pancakes and got a short stack of pancakes with lemony butter and both real maple syrup AND blackberry compote. That's two meals down, one to go. They also offer a choice of toasts or a MUFFIN. that's right kid, not just a flabby little peice of stale wonder bread, but a real honest-to-goodness fresh baked muffin, big enough to be a menu item of it's own. Luscious luscious good.

Every time we go to Ashland, we can't wait to go to Morning Glory. The oatmeal pancakes are out of this world. Make sure you go early because the line gets long pretty quickly. Coffee is so so.

This is your classic, ultra-comfortable breakfast place. Very quaint cottage setting. Put your name on the list, grab a mug of coffee, and hang out on the patio. Lots of tourists, families, and locals. We were told 20 minutes but were seated in 10. I had the Alaskan crab artichoke omelette, my wife had the caramelized onion, applewood bacon omelette. The sides we selected were cheesy polenta and sliced yellow heirloom tomatoes. Whole wheat sourdough toast completed a fabulous start to the day. Everything is very fresh and of high quality. Very friendly and energetic staff. Consider sharing if you come as a group or with the kids. Portions are generous. If you are a breakfast person, this is the place!

INSANE! The lemon ricotta french toast was a heavenly experience. I also had the pesto, avocado, feta, and spinach scramble with oatmeal pancakes. If I could have, I would have jumped from table to table, dancing with sweet jubilee. LOVE.

Morning Glory deserves all of the great reviews it has received. Food is delicious and healthy, portions are huge making for a great value and the service was pretty friendly, to boot. Only down-side was the wait so I guess you just can't win, since this is a restaurant that deserves the crowds. We waited for 25 minutes at 11:30 on Monday morning... It was worth the wait; we greatly enjoyed a tofu curry scramble, a great warm beet salad with chard, and belgian waffles with lemon-butter and blackberry compote. I just wish I'd had room to try the Ginger-bread waffles!

Also...do yourself a favor and get some oatmeal pancakes to go alongside your savory feast. They are MIND blowingly good and still completely amazing when eaten cold! HORRAY!

My favorite local breakfast spot. I love the atomosphere, the murals, and the brightly lit dining room. I always get the bacon and carmelized onion with fontina cheese omelet. It gets crowded during tourist season and on weekends.

This is the first time I've ever gone out to breakfast in Ashland because we usually stay in a B&B and I'm wondering where this place has been all my life! Yes, there was a huge wait and yes, the prices were a bit high. The food was mostly outstanding. I came here with eight friends, so between us we ordered just about everything on the menu. I ordered the lemon poppy seed waffle, which, while OK, was the worst thing any of us ordered. First off, it was a waffle and it cost $11.00. I don't care if it was a truffle waffle it shouldn't have been more than eight dollars. Plus, I paid $1.50 extra for fresh berries (which happened to be about one and a half or maybe two sliced strawberries). The waffle was flavorful, but it was tough and kind of dry and hard to cut (kinda wish I'd had a steak knife). I really felt like a sucker. But I also had quit a bit of the stuffed French toast, salmon scramble, caramelized onion and fonitna omelet, and chorizo scramble, to make up for my poor choice. The French toast was AMAZING! The next time we go to Ashland and we don't stay at a B&B (which might be never) we'll be back!

Long wait but worth it. Portions are huge, especially the kids. Two kids can probably share an order. My eggs were a little under cooked, but lots of flavor. Waitress was GREAT very friendly and prompt.

Make the walk down to this place and wait as long as you need to. It's got a KILLER brekkie. I went for a trig-tip/Gorgonzola filled omelet and savored every morsel. It's laid back, casual and just damn good.

Morning Glory is a place I'll always stop in Oregon. The food is delicious with a great variety for vegetarians and meat lovers. The portions are ridiculous, the quality excellent and the staff are wonderful! Savory or sweet? You won't be disappointed. On my recent visit there I had an omelet with rock shrimp, bacon and pepper jack. Rockin'. Don't pass up giving the cheddar polenta a try, but their hashbrowns are great too. We've had groups as large at 12-16 here at a time and they have always been accommodating.

Just ate here for the first for the first time. Instantly one of my top few breakfast places in the country. Amazing food. Some tips: very large portions (even the kids portions). Consider sharing. Also, they don't open until 8 am, so don't plan on too early a start. But do eat here!

My family and I made a point to come check this place out due to all the fantastic yelp reviews. We were driving to Washington from CA so it was nice to stop in Ashland with the sun shining while it was pouring everywhere else. The food was amazing...yea I know we should have gotten breakfast since that is what everyone raves about but it was lunchtime. I got the curry tuna salad and I dont even like curry, raisins or swiss cheese. But YUM! It was so good! I am glad I tried it. My dad got the gynormous chicken pot pie and ate it all up, my mom got the gingerbread waffles which she loved. Definitely check this place out for breakfast and don't forget the lunch either! The menu is unique yet same feeling as comfort food.

The lemon poppyseed waffle may be one of the best things I've tasted in a long time! It's served with walnut butter (ask for extra) and two syrups - marionberry and maple. They serve breakfast and lunch only so we tried something on the lunch menu, too. The turkey croissant sandwich is served warm with lemon garlic, lettuce, red onion, cream cheese and cranberry dried cherry chutney. The turkey is thick sections of white meat (not shaved or puny lunchmeat). Just eat it with a knife and fork - it's worth every bite but it's a little tricky to eat like a sandwich. And, the fries are fantastic. Atmosphere is pretty much anything goes. Decor is kitchen country meets pixies and fairies. Service is very friendly and prices are reasonable.

This is as good as it gets for breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal, especially when it is good and unique. They has such an incredible selection of omelettes and pancakes. I had orange hazelnut pancakes that were unbelievable. Great atmosphere too. This is definitely far beyond your normal breakfast place. Don't miss it if you are in Ashland

  • Andy P.

Really wonderful breakfast. We ate here twice in three days because it is just that good. We had the lemon poppyseed waffle (terrific), blueberry waffles (very good--and they'd let you order 1, 2, or 3 which is very cool for a breakfast joint), and the cranberry walnut french toast (super hearty and delicious). They don't even need syrup at all. You will probably have to wait a bit (and a bit more if you are a group of 5 or more--it's not a huge restaurant) Not a cheap breakfast, mind you, but definitely worth it.

Just came back from our second trip to Ashland and you bet we went back to Morning Glory! Had the shrimp, bacon, pepper jack omelet with goat cheese on top and a bloody mary. I am drooooooling right now just thinking about it.

The reviews were so good that I was so disappointed to have a very bland brie and ham omelet and rubbery tomatoes. A friend had a so-so croissant with black forest ham. The french toast was very good alto way too much food. Good coffee.

So so so good. We went there for breakfast my last day in Ashland. YUMM!!! The Tandori Tofu scramble, amazing! Coffee, they keep filling the oversized mugs with amazing coffee. The waitstaff friendly and provide excellent service. When in Ashland, go here for a great breakfast.

This place is the only place you want to have breakfast or lunch whenn you first visit Ashland. The fresh baked muffins were rediculous and the coffee sublime. The atmospere is nice and airy with vaulted ceilings. I had the fontina, bacon and carmelized onion omlette with a log of hash browns and toast. It was way too much food, but I finished it becasue it was just too good. Other highlights were the polenta, pancakes and the tri tip omlette. I know, I know...

One of the best brunch places anywhere. Unique and delicious omelets (oooh, try the Applewood smoked bacon sausage with caramelized onions) and the best oatmeal anywhere (Moroccan style--dates, spices and all). They keep the coffee coming and there is something wonderful about the butter on the pancakes (orange blossom water, maybe?). It's good.

A family-friendly staff serving large portions of fresh, homemade, healthy food--with many whole-grain and vegetarian options... We had the special scramble w/arugula, fresh white corn just cut off the cob, sweet tomatoes, and feta, which came w/a hot-from-the-oven banana-walnut muffin AND cheddar polenta...AND a side of fresh marionberries just because. This is an amazing restaurant--almost makes you want to move to Ashland--almost.

What others have said about Morning Glory is totally true. The food is scrumptious, the parking lot is tiny, the waits are *long* and the ambiance is just somehow completely right for a breakfast place. Because I have children, though, I rarely get a chance to eat there. The kids simply abhore the wait and aren't thrilled with the complexity of the food, either. So my wife and I save it as a special place to go when the kids are otherwise occupied.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The omelettes are killer, the hashbrowns are fab, and the white cheddar polenta as a side accompaniment was unexpected and delicious. The servings are more than generous, and the decor is bright and whimsical. One of the best breakfasts I've had in years!

This place is a top-notch restaurant for a unique and tasty breakfast. I enjoyed the Lemon Ricotta Stuffed French Toast... it was amazing. I dined alone on a Sunday morning and only waited ten minutes and sat at the bar. Most groups were waiting around 20 minutes, which is well worth it in my opinion.

Darling restaurant in an old bright Victorian building. Perfect. Breakfast is worth every cent and more. Even the light rain on green ivy and spring flowers outside my window was mesmerizing. The food was beautiful. I had a salmon/ new potato/ dill sour cream omelette. It was delicious, and giant. Arthie had a sirloin steak omelette with creme fraiche- yum! Everything served came in giant portions, which was just fine with us! Usually I prefer quality over quantity, but in this case it was the best of both worlds. The coffee even came in a giant mug! The place is colorful, lively, with an assortment of National Geographics and magazines to read while you wait out the inevitable line.

I just had to comment, after reading someone else's opinion, that I love the tofu scrambles here. In fact, I was craving it this morning and almost went, but they were slammed and I changed my mind. The french toast specials are always great too. I usually get the tofu scramble that has wilted greens, olives, and caramelized onions with rye toast and hash-browns. My family always enjoys the cardamom tea, and the coffee/espresso is great too. Enjoy!

i would have to agree that morning glory is a must for a great breakfast, brunch or lunch. it is outside the main downtown area and we had a lovely walk down the main blvd. of ashland to this cute, very busy restaurant which closes at "2ish". it is in an old house with multiple seating areas inside and out. there were soooo many choices of eggs, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and salads. we got the breakfast burrito with a yummy egg and sausage filling covered in a green salsa with avocado. it was delicious and HUGE - definitely enough for two. the other dish was the famed lemon-poppyseed waffle with a lemon butter and berries. it was good, but next time i think i am going to try one of their sandwiches: a ginger marinated shortrib sandwich on a cranberry walnut bread. coffee was good and served in a huge cup as was the chai tea. although it was a friday morning, the wait was only 15 minutes or so and the service was good. we read somewhere that the way to go at morning glory is to go with a group, everyone order something different, each eat a little and then pass the plates to the left. i think that'll be the plan for the next visit!

Best Breakfast I've had in a long time. I've been to a lot of breakfast places but this one is definitely at the top of my list. First off, it has the cutest atmosphere. It really feels like you are having breakfast in someones home. I especially love the mismatched coffee cups. In any other restaurant it would be considered tacky, but here it just fit perfectly with the home like atmosphere. It was so good that during our short stay we went back twice. The first time I got the Alaskan crab omelet and the second time I got the bacon and caramelized onions omelet. both were superb! These meals come with pancakes, polenta and muffins....best pancakes I've had! and the muffins are made with cornmeal with i absolutely LOVE! Definitely worth the money and the food is excellent! If your of age, you should also grab a mimosa...the glass they give you is huge! and you'll definitely be feeling very relaxed and happy afterward. I will definitely come back here if I ever pass through ashland again.

I have been living in Ashland for the last three months and as a Los Angeles foodie have to say that Morning Glory totally gets it right. A fantastic meal each time I have gone. I always try something new and have not been disappointed. The portions are too much I think, but I love that they do a half size portion and also you can split for 2 bucks extra, which seems very fair to me. I think the tri-tip omelette with the gorgonzola sauce is unbelievably good. I think that lemon butter on the poppyseed waffle is extraordinary. I think I have hit every place in town since I have been here and this is definitely in my top three.

Morning Glory is everything I ever wanted in a breakfast place: great food, prompt service and a cheerful atmosphere. The food is the draw here. Four of us ate here for three days and every dish was excellent. My personal favorites were the omelettes (especially the special of the day) and the waffles ( the lemon butter is fabulous). The coffee is strong and it all comes without long waits, even when they are full. The portions are HUGE. The prices are lower than some inferior spots near the theaters. The servers are pleasant and competent. And the room is just right, with cheery yellow walls and charming morning murals and artwork. I don't plan to go anywhere else next time we're in Ashland.

This place is excellent, a must stop for breakfast or lunch when in Ashland. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Gingerbread Waffles are amazing! Lemon Ricotta Stuffed French Toast too. Be sure to get there early as the wait can be long. A bit less casual than the Breadboard. I'd hit up both.

Okay, so I'm hanging out in this small town. There's a main street that runs possibly a half mile long, with rolling season changing hills to the east, and pointy piney peaks to the west (and I mean, that's it). All I hear about is breakfast this and Morning Glory that. So I look for it, this -- Morning Glory. I drive by it maybe five times without ever actually seeing the place. The reason is because it's in a small rennovated house. Even when it was pointed out to me, I still drove right past the next time I was looking for it. "No biggie," I think to myself. A small town breakfast joint's gonna be fast, tasty, maybe a lil greasy spoon-ey. First off, parking lot. There are about eight spaces, so move fast, be lucky, or park on the street. I was a lucky one, twice. So I walk through the door on a Friday morning, and BAM, the whole town is in this little place eating, talking, acting like there is no work, there is no school, there is only the glory of the morning. So I squeeze on through the gaggle of hungry breakfast-waiting folk and place my name down on the list, and I wait. Finally, our number's up, and we go sit down to a huge breakfast. I'm talking giant plates of delicious home made food. The first tip off that this was going to be a wonderful endeavor was the presence of Chipotle Tobasco (which I later found out is a staple in Oregonian restaurants). The chipotle gods were smiling and so was I. Riccotta stuffed raspberry french toast, crab 'n' crap omelette (not real name), and smoked salmon scramble. Three of us split these items and it was so much food I nearly revisited the meal later that day. I just couldn't stop eating. I was loving every bite, not to mention eating butter creamed with sugar, vanilla, a pinch of sugar, and walnuts -- straight. Yeah, that's how they do their butter here. They cream it like you're gonna make a cookie, and then give you the best part of the raw cookie dough, the creamed butter. Heavenly goodness on a plate, I am almost tempted to drive back up to Ashland just to eat another meal there. If for any reason you're anywhere near Ashland (say for some Shakespear), GO.

Wonderful breakfast for a variety of tastes! Coming from Salem, it's wonderful to be in Ashland with all of the vegetarian options. I went to Morning Glory with my dad and boyfriend who love meaty heavy dishes and everyone left happy with the food. The Tandoori Tofu scramble was amazing. You can get half orders of most of the menu, but even with a half order I still had leftovers. The coffee is amazing and they are quick on the refills. Their prices are slightly higher than Breadboard, but the spread and atmosphere definitely makes up for the prices!

With all the raves about this place, my husband and I were ready to be wowed. The famous pancakes were ... disgusting. They were pumpkin pancakes, the day's special. They arrived scorched on the outside, wet and raw batter on the inside. I took one bite and called the waitress over; she was appalled and immediately whisked them off to the kitchen. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with slaw instead. It was respectable - not fab, but tasty. Just wished they hadn't slapped the slaw on top of the sandwich.

This is such a great breakfast spot it ranks right up there with the plays as a reason to keep returning to Ashland. I think if I lived nearby I would become really fat, the food is so good I would try and come every day. L and I ate here two days in a row. We shared the lemon ricotta stuffed French toast both days. We did vary the breakfast a bit, one day we shared a side of bacon and the next day the chicken sausages. This was a vacation and it only seemed fitting to have a breakfast cocktail. The Glory-Rita was the perfect choice, made with fresh grapefruit juice, tequila, and grand mariner it was wonderful.

My family swears by this place for breakfast, so we made the trek, and then waited in a 30 minute line to get a table. It was well worth the wait! The restaurant is very cute, and the servers are sweet. 3 of us split two orders, as the portions are huge. All the breakfast items we got were good, but a special shout out to the delicious home made jam. OMG, it was incredible. I smeared that stuff on my pancake instead of syrup, ambrosia! Homemade muffins were served fresh and hot. Can't say enough about this place except if you are in Ashland, go here!

LOOOOOVE Morning Glory. I am always satisfied with service and food here. Been going here for 4 years, now! My favorites: croissant breakfast sandwich, bacon and caramelized onion omelet, and lemon ricotta french toast! However, any time I decide to "be adventurous" and order something new... I am never disappointed. SO worth the money as I can get at least 2 meals out of it. Large mugs of coffee. Yummy mimosas. And the egg dishes are served with the crunchiest hashbrowns and FRESH, warm, moist muffins. However, if you are ever in a hurry to eat your meal, this is not the place for you. It is always busy. Always.

Really great ricotta stuffed French toast with lemon butter and raspberry glaze. Incredibly tasty and I normally don't like sweet breakfasts. We also ordered a side of bacon, which was expensive at $4.50 and slightly overcooked on a couple pieces; orange juice @ $3 and coffee at $3. You might need to mortgage your House to eat here, but the food and drink was good (even the overlooked bacon). I'd recommend it. The also had a large comfy sitting area inside and gave us coffee while we waited. They also had a garden a tea with a large tree and benches in front for waiting. I'd recommend parking next door at the Ashland Motel since the parking lot is really tiny. They have an agreement.

Was told without hesitation this was "The best place in town for breakfast" by the motel manager right next door. We had to wait about 25 minutes for a table for 2 on Saturday (expected) but it was well worth the wait.

I thought my local friend was kidding when she told us we should arrive early on a weekday morning. She wasn't. There was a line and we weren't the first ones in it. We had the lemon ricotta French toast which deserves whole sonnets in it's honor, and an omelet which was delicious but faded next to the greatness of the polenta. Have you ever raved about polenta before? I would have told you that was unlikely. Yet here I am, raving. The service is brisk and efficient while friendly, the place was packed a half hour after opening, and I want to go back every single day until I die of the deliciousness. Thank goodness I live too far away to do that.

The menu has so many unique innovative dishes, I want to move to Ashland just to try them all. We both went with the special (one of four that sounded equally good), Nutella Cheesecake French Toast with Hazelnut Butter and Cherry Syrup. But it was hard to say no to menu regulars like Vegetarian Hash with posilla chilis and chipotle cilantro cream sauce or Salmon Scramble with tomato and dill sour cream. Our go-to breakfast place in Ashland and well worth the 45 minutes we had to wait. (Get here early.) We went back the next morning before leaving Ashland. Got there when they opened at 8 am on a Monday morning and there were 15 people waiting outside for them to open. What a delight to walk right in and seat ourselves a minute later. By 8:15 only two tables were empty and when we left at 9, there were more than 15 people waiting in the lobby and outside. I had the Salmon Scramble with Yukon Potatoes, tomato and dill sour cream. Delicious. And with a Marion Berry Muffin! My wife had the Spinach Mushroom Tomato Pesto and Goat Cheese Scramble. She loved it.

The breakfasts here are truly wonderful and the place is pretty. Their granola and fruit compote is quite a treat and all the typical breakfast dishes are nicely done. The service is usually pretty good. We used to go whenever we visited Ashland, but we gave up on it. What is not so wonderful is the long wait for a table -- always! It is quite popular. They do not take reservations, so just show up and put your name on a list. Then wait, probably 90 minutes, even mid week. If 60-90 minutes of waiting for coffee is not okay and you want to go, I'd suggest getting there early... quite early... 9 am is too late, even mid-week. Also, go in smaller groups of 4 or less, so you can get a table a bit faster.

My wife and I were in Ashland visiting my brother in law and had breakfast at this gem. It took a while to be seated, they were very busy. I had the bacon & rock shrimp omelet. It was truly the best omelet I've ever had. The coffee was top notch and the marion berry jam was excellent as well- I'd go back just for the grub - don't tell my bro in law :-)

This place is pretty great! They only serve breakfast and lunch, so get their early and be prepared to wait a little while. Don't worry though, the wait is definitely worth it. Everything on the menu is delicious, so you can't go wrong with anything you order. The portions are pretty large, so you get your money 's worth and you could share a meal with someone. They have pretty much everything you want with Marion berry in it. I went with a group of friends and the stuffed French toast is amazing along with any of their omelets . I highly recommend the Salmon omelette. The staff is also really super good about splitting checks, so don't be scared to ask. The staff is super nice! I highly recommend at least stopping here once for breakfast if you make a trip to Ashland.

If there are other breakfast spots in Ashland, I don't know and I don't care. This place is it. Great food, crispy hash browns, delightful vegetarian and gluten free options. If you are here for several days...go every day and just order something different. Today: crab Benedict with chipotle hollandaise. Go early and expect to wait. Bring a coat and wait on the garden/courtyard.

OMG! The portions are huge. I didn't notice the half size option until after breakfast. Don't eat the full size portion unless you are a teenager, athlete in training, or 400lb fat ass who needs to maintain their weight. had some really good French toast. Sons lemon ricotta stuffed French toast was divine. Even the coffee cups were huge. Daughters bagel was good, and served with generous amounts of lox, capers, and onions. Bring your appetite, and prepare to be impressed.

We stopped overnight in Ashland on the way from SF to Seattle, and everyone recommended Morning Glory for breakfast. I had the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast, she had the gingerbread french toast (from the specials menu), both were delicious, and the portions were huge. We almost ordered hash browns, but I'm glad we didn't - we couldn't finish the meals we ordered as it was. The latte I ordered was good too, and came in a snoopy mug :) Fun art on the wall for sale. We went on Thursday morning and there was no queue, not sure what it's like on weekends. If you're in Ashland Morning Glory is THE breakfast option.

Abundance of crab in the Alaskan Crab Omelette - well executed and delicious...the same for the lemon ricotta french toast- light and highly yummy. Large mugs of coffee and great fresh orange juice. What else do you want?

    (5)
  • Rachel F.

Their marionberry muffins alone deserve a goddamn standing ovation. That taste still lingers. But everything I've eaten here has been ridiculously amazing. I can't wait to go back next week! As mentioned before, their portions are enormous, so splitting is definitely doable. My boyfriend and I split the crab omelet, and were so full we could barely move afterwards. Morning Glory is a can't-miss breakfast spot, even if you're only in Ashland for a day or two. However, you will probably have to wait a while to be seated, so plan ahead!

There is a reason there is always a wait. I had the vegetarian hash. We started with great coffee and Blueberry muffins. Our entrée s came soon thereafter. The veggie hash was nicely spiced. The carmalized onion and cheese om let was slightly sweet and salty. I always leave here stuffed and satisfied.

  • Sonny B.

Disappointing. Large portions, but poor quality. Omelette was a greasy, unappealing melange of pesto, goat cheese and veggies. Oatmeal was undercooked. Coffee, at $3 per cup, was the most disappointing thing about breakfast - weak, watery and bitter. $30 for two people is ridiculous for breakfast. Does not deserve the 4.5 TripAdvisor stars. Beware.

    (2)
  • Matthew W.

C'mon Ashland Yelpers, is every place here over-rated by 1-to-1.5 stars? Morning Glory is not even a solid 3 stars. The portions are large, but the taste of the food is average. Service is slow and uninterested and tables are crammed into the small establishment. The heaters on the porch area made the temperature uncomfortably hot, though I commend the proprietor for having them there versus not. (Hey, that rhymes!) I had one of their omelettes with a side of crispy polenta. The omelette was good, but not great, and the polenta was bland, though definitely crispy. The toast was the highlight of the meal, which is not what you want to say about any breakfast spot...unless they specialize in toast. If you are a pulp hater, stay away from the OJ. My daughter also was not a fan of the waffles...sadly, they were not as good as what we can do at home. Parking is nearly non-existent in their tiny driveway lot, so they have alternate parking at the sketchy, converted-apartment "motel" next door. Bottom line: In a small town with limited breakfast options, come for the toast, stay for the toast.

  • Sam G.

This is easily one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to, but you should be prepared for a substantial wait. Everything here is delicious; I've yet to be disappointed. No matter what your taste in traditional American breakfast food, you will find it here, and it will be fantastic. My personal favorite is the belgian waffles. The key here is that, in addition to just having excellent waffles, they also serve it with lemon butter which is magically one of the more delicious waffle accoutrements I've ever seen. If you want an excellent and unsurprising breakfast, this is the place to go.

Our favorite is the Applewood smoked bacon omelet with caramelized onion but substitute the fontina cheese with Gorgonzola cheese. I believe they smoke the bacon themselves:-) Beverly and Josh are our favorite waiters! If Beverly is not too busy, ask her about local hikes! She has many great suggestions!

Ok...this is kinda of funny...I just recently posted a review for Morning Glory Cafe in Eugene, OR and it was not a nice review. On my drive back to Oakland I needed to get some fuel (for my car) and love to drive downtown in Ashland (it is so pretty) so I decided to get some gas there. I had not had breakfast and had been driving a couple hours so I drove slowly down the main street and got past the main shopping district and saw this adorably painted house that had the name Morning Glory on a sign in front. I took a chance I might find good food here and pulled in the driveway in the back. From the looks of the driveway it didn't look very promising, but when I walked in the front door...there was a waiting room of people and virtually every seat taken in the dining room. There was a nice bar top area w/ a couple of empty seats so I was going for that option to get in and back out on the road. I was seated almost immediately and ordered a cup of coffee. It was very good and so I asked what coffee they use. It was Uncommon Grounds (from Berkeley) and it is a coffee that I like so that was interesting and a nice surprise. I actually drove by a coffee shop that promoted Blue Bottle coffee and I was certain to NOT stop there. Yuck. The menu at Morning Glory was really interesting. Not your average diner/breakfast joint. Cranberry and Hazelnut French toast w/ lemon butter and oatmeal pancakes w/ walnut butter!! Since I am not much of a sweet tooth for breakfast I wrestled over the eggs or biscuits and gravy (I consider myself a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy). I always crave seafood..particularly crab or other shellfish...and I saw an omelet w/ crab, artichokes, Parmesan and scallions w/ a smoked garlic sauce that made my mouth water. The only other enticing omelet was the Gorgonzola omelet w/ caramelized onions and toasted walnuts. I went for the crab! I really did not want a WHOLE omelet since I just can't eat it all...so I asked for a half portion (only save 2.00 there....one change I would make if I could is to make real half size portions and offer it at half price or half plus 2.00 more). 14.00 for food at breakfast time is not in my budget. Anyway....the order came out on a platter sized plate and was gargantuan. I should have taken a photo of it. It came w/ two wedges of crispy polenta.... which was really tasty and nice texture...soft but firm w/ a nice crisp outside and I got two slices of whole wheat toast...locally made (you could see and taste the difference) w/ a pat of butter for you to add (or not). Two women patrons (friends) sat next to me and were sharing their meals (Coconut Almond Waffle w/ lemon butter and biscuits and gravy). I was seriously eyeballing the biscuits and gravy thinking maybe I had made a mistake....it was that good looking. I'll just have to come back again and again and again.... until I get thru the menu. The service was good considering how busy the place was. The food was amazing (no hot sauce or ketchup needed). I was very pleased with my meal and the service and the price. I really do wish 1/2 size portions would be offered at restaurants. I don't think it is healthy to offer such huge portions. Can't wait to visit Ashland again...lots of very good restaurants there.

Best breakfast experience ever! Disclaimer: you will not get the same experience I did, except for the food :) What was ordered: The daily special with spicy sausage. It was really good and came with the best hashbrowns I've ever had. Oh and cant forget the blueberry muffin. Hot dang it was delicious! I dont usually order muffins and go for toast. Dont miss out on the muffin. I did a pulp fiction reaction..."Damn! Now that's a good muffin!" Service: I sat at the counter and had a friendly waiter that was quick to refilling the coffee and make sure things are good. When the lady (sorry didnt get her name) with the (i think) cross tattoo on the back found out I was from out of town, she had some great suggestions of places to visit. Side note: also its a great place for solo motorcyclists to stop off at. They have a small counter area and with seats high enough to place your helmet below your feet. In addition, met the owner of Ron Toms in Portland. I've never been or heard of it, but he and his wife are some very cool peoples. So something else to check out :)

Excellent service and amazing breakfast --- doesn't matter what you decide, you can't go wrong! My favorite is their savory, deliciously fresh, huge omelets! I forego the muffin that comes with it and get a side of sour dough blueberry pancakes with lemon butter.... Drooling yet? It's YUMMY with their homemade marionberry sauce! A huge meal to split with a friend :) I wish I could remember my waitress's name---she was wonderful! I have always had wonderful, friendly, efficient service!

Long line (30-60 minute wait around 11am), but it was absolutely amazing. We got the crab omelette and the rock shrimp cakes. Both were solid, although I'd recommend the crab over the shrimp if you're trying to decide between the two. Hashbrowns were cooked crisp (but not burnt) and the polenta was pretty solid as well. Highly recommend the muffins. Apparently, my girlfriend is still dreaming about them a week later.

I wish I could give this place 8 or 9 stars. Probably the best breakfast I have ever had. Carmelized onions and apple smoked bacon scramble...totally awesome. Dont get me started about the blueberry muffins... Over the top. Ambiance... Hip and awesome. I am blown away. Ill be back.

The key to morning glory is showing up at the right time! ;) The food is pretty amazing and worth every damn penny even if at first glance it looks to be high priced... Lemon ricotta stuffed french toast with raspberry syrup... Are you kidding me? RIDICULOUS! One of the most legit, surprising and memorable breakfasts I've had in a long time... Everyone warned me about long waits, but I picked a good day and time because it was less than ten minutes... If you go to morning glory, just time it out right, and you will be happy for the rest of the day!

Morning Glory is probably my favorite breakfast spot in town. It's known well by both locals and tourists, but that's insignificant... The food is superb! You can always count on an array of delicious specials, as well as a trusty all-the-time menu. I am a fan of the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast! The only real downside is the consistent wait that comes along with breakfast here. Only once in nearly 10 years have I been to Morning Glory at what may have been the perfect time. We were seated and helped right away. The wait time can typically range anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes. There aren't any reservations, so it's a matter of luck once you show up, to decide how long the wait will be!

Highly reviewed breakfast/brunch place in Ashland, so my bf and I decided to come to eat. We went near noon on a weekday and luckily had no wait unlike some of the reviewers mentioned. Customer service was okay. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but since it was a cold morning, most people sat inside. The AC was on and I was freezing during my whole meal which made it very unpleasant. There was another a fly that was pestering me, gross. Order a Lemon Ricotta French Toast with Raspberry Jam, it was totally cute and delicious. It wasn't overly sweet until you get half way of the four pieces of toast that you want a bite of something savory. Good to share. BF ordered a Gravy and Biscuit and he enjoyed it since it was real gravy. I enjoyed a bite of that. HIGHLIGHTS: *Homemade delicious Marionberry jam *Homemade warm muffin *Fresh squeezed OJ PARKING: Small parking lot in the back Closes at 2PM! I would still recommend this place to tourists. The food was yummy. The atmosphere was touristy and different. Reason why I couldn't make myself give this a 4 star on yelp was the customer service, temperature, and fly.

Great cozy breakfast place. Their hash-browns are crispy, their coffee is hot and fresh, and they have a great mix of food for vegetarians and meat-eaters, alike. Their staff is incredibly warm and inviting, and they know the menu incredibly well. The amosphere is great, there's a beautiful garden patio for spring/summer dining and in fall and winter there is a lit fireplace set up where you can enjoy it's glow while you sip tea or coffee. Get the vegetarian hash, it's dreamy. It has a pasilla-cream sauce and was filled with all sorts of good veggies, tofu and eggs.

Glorious GLORY! Spent the night in Ashland and googled BEST BREAKFAST Ashland (I'm a breakfast snob). Oh yeah!!!! TripAdvisor and YELP did me proud!! So yummy, bountiful meals, don't miss the pancakes with the fresh berry syrup! Tony waited on us and beside the point it was packed, hour wait, and Tony running around with a sweated brow...he delivered outstanding service! Love this place and will return! Our rafting guide used to work for Morning Glory and let us know we should be sure and dine here before we left town. We parked behind this cute house converted into a restaurant with lots of colorful decor. We arrived at 10 a.m. on a Friday and had about a 20 minute wait. Nice variety on the menu--banana bread french toast (half order was still too much!), omelets, scrambles and strong coffee served in quirky, non-matching mugs. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. Got us in and out in no time and didn't hover while we lingered. Great place for the family--reasonable prices and HUGE portions.

Very little parking out back but, they say, you may park at the motel next door. Expect to wait -- they said a half hour, but we waited less than fifteen minutes. It's a busy, busy, popular place -- and not without merit. In spite of the crowds they mange quick and friendly service. Recommended. I enjoyed their poached eggs on shrimp cakes with crispy polenta, rye bread on the side and coffee. The amount of food is too generous for me at breakfast but it was all good.

Worth the wait for unique dishes you won't find anywhere else. We had pancakes and waffles that tasted like dessert and the portions were way too big, so I probably consumed an entire day's worth of calories, but we will definitely be back next time we're in Ashland.

Hole in the wall loses Would you like some onion with your omelette? Sure lets fill the whole omelette with onion. I ordered an omelet thinking there was a little onions on the top. Boy was I wrong. The whole omelet was onion. It made it taste really bad and the service wasn't that great. Also parking sucked. Only good thing was the muffin. I'm sorry but Denny's would have been better. Just stay away. Even the waiter was really slow. No refills or even checking up on ya. Not worth it.

*sighs* Came in with high hopes but it was probably my least favorite place during my road trip. The service is very very nice and the restaurant has adorable decor (though it is very cramped and there's a long wait) but the food just isn't good enough for me to want it again. As a seafood lover I ordered the crab/artichoke omelette and a glass of OJ. My friend got the Tofu Scramble. I love vegetarian/vegan food but I can admit I'm not a fan of tofu scrambles. However she loves tofu scrambles but both of us agreed it just wasn't good. The flavors were good but nothing actually got through to the tofu itself. As for my meal, my glass of OJ was amazing and my crab artichoke omelette was alright. The crab was real crab, out of a can crab, but real crab (though I didn't really expect fresh crab). It was pretty good but honestly just really bland. There was nothing tying the flavors together and it literally just taste like chunks of artichoke with crab. The bread was good but my side of grilled polenta was not. Once again it was bland, kind of tough, and just not worth eating. Maybe we came on a bad day, if I'm back in the area I may give this place another shot though.

Can't wait to come back next time coming through!!! Super quaint setting...food, yummers!!

Solid, pleasant organic restaurant, had breakfast there on a quick trip to Oregon from California. A whole house with ceilings removed showing high vaulted spaces a major transformation I'm sure. Nice casual inviting homey exterior opens to the same inside with tons of murals and paintings line the walls. The food is substantial and filling to me, flavors were good though breakfast is not a good meal to judge this by. Enormous mugs of coffee make refills kind of silly. Overall nothing really stood out, just a solid good experience.

Oh, how I love Morning Glory, let me count the ways. Each and every version of their stuffed french toast that they come up with is divine. I'm currently loving the breakfast croissant, and I always love their pancakes. But above all, I love the MIMOSAS!!! Big and beautiful and tasty-- in all different flavors! My favorites are the passion fruit and the raspberry. Both a nice twist to the usual orange juice and champagne! And I can't forget the hot chocolate!! It's a breakfast in itself. Best to arrive *eeaarrlyyy* to avoid waiting in line, because there WILL be a line.

We live about five hours south of Ashland, so we decided to head there for the first time last year. Looking for breakfast places, we came across this one and it was our first introduction to Ashland. Ever since then, we have been waiting to return as the experience was SO wonderful! We had to wait a little, but we come from a small town where the local restaurants are almost always packed so it was usual. The wait was completely worth it. We were wowed by the portion sizes, the quality of the food and the service. We will be headed here again on our next trip to Oregon.

French Toast (Lemon Ricotta) and Chicken Apple Gouda Sausage were fantastic. Large portions, fantastic service. Get there at 8, if you can, short wait oyherwise. Sat at the counter, every dish that went by looked great. I'll be back.

We stayed in a nearby motel during our theater trip and the desk clerk recommended Morning Glory for breakfast. It will become a regular part of my future Ashland visits. Eggs were served with polenta. I had the whole grain pecan waffle, which was way more than I could eat and very delicious. The coffees and hot chocolates are served in big mugs, both visually appealing and tasty. There was a line waiting for them to open at 8:00, but our orders were taken promptly and service was excellent. So get there early, but get there!

On our way up to Seattle, we stopped in Ashland to take in a couple plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. We stayed at the Flagship Inn of Ashland, which is about a block from Morning Glory. There was about a 10 minute wait on a Tuesday morning. Ambiance: This place has a very cute, very cottage-y vibe. There are kitschy knickknacks on the bookshelf next to the sofa in the waiting area. They have painted surreal scenes in vibrant colors all over the walls. Outdoor seating boasts potted plants and looks like your favorite grandma's backyard. Service: Service was quick and attentive. Food: I ordered the Lemon Ricotta French Toast with Raspberry Sauce, and the boyfriend ordered the Bacon Waffle. Lemon Ricotta French Toast: This is a very large portion, enough to feed 2 people. Each piece of french toast is actually two pieces glued together with lemon ricotta filling. (I am not a fan of ricotta, but it was delicious in this case... didn't taste like chalk.) You get two of these french toast sandwiches. The french toast is then sprinkled with powdered sugar and covered in delicious raspberry syrup. It was decadent without being overly sweet, which I appreciated. It heated up well in the microwave the next morning. Bacon Waffle: This is a very large waffle (plate-sized) with bacon crumpled up directly into the batter. It comes with maple syrup. In the words of my boyfriend: "I never thought I would say this, but there is too much bacon." I know, blasphemy. I almost broke up with him then and there. Almost... but that would have made an awkward rest of the road trip. Then, I tried it. He was right. It was a bit too salty with bacon overload. The bacon may have been better outside the waffle. If we were in Ashland, we would definitely come here again, but my boyfriend would not order the bacon waffle.

Anyone who gives this place less than 5 stars must just be in a bad mood! I was flying out of Medford on my way back home and had a little time before my flight. Hopped on yelp for some help! Came across this place in Ashland and was so very, very glad I did! **tip** you can park next door at the motel as there really isn't any parking at the restaurant. The place was busy even on a Friday at 10 so being alone I opted for a spot at the bar. The server that was manning the bar and coffee drinks was so nice and sweet - he was giving recommendations to the people next to me and was really enthusiastic about all the items! I needed no help however, once I saw a open faced bagel sandwich with Brie I WAS SOLD! It also came with eggs (I picked egg whites) tomato and pesto. It was so good - I even had a woman from another table come over to me and ask me what it was! Smart lady :) I really can't say enough about the charming atmosphere, amazing food, and great service! Gonna convince my husband to come down here this summer and do the festival and eat here every day!

First time in Oregon, and made the right choice. Came here on our way to Portland on a Monday morning 9:45am, no wait for two people. Gorgonzola, walnut, caramelized onion omelette was incredible! Husband got the applewood bacon, caramelized onion, fontina omelette, equally delicious. Everything I expected from an Oregon eatery. Will be back.

Definitely enjoyed our breakfast here but the wait was a bit long. Parking was a nightmare. Don't bother with the lot and park on a side street. Immensely appreciated the outdoor patio complete with cocktail bar while we were waiting for our table; I love my Bloody Marys! The food was good, service was friendly, and the interior was unique...just like Ashland. :)

Pancakes are a 5 STAR! Insanely delicious, the best I have ever tasted. So light. So tasty. The shrimp omelette I found very, very heavy, with the seasoning and cheese making it gluey and overpowering the shrimp. Everything else=awesome. We ate here twice just because we were so in love with the food, the ambience, and the atmosphere. While waiting for our food, we had our eye on the owner, at the grill, somehow creating all of that food art at an insanely rapid pace. It was unbelievable to watch, and every single plate was as beautiful as the last. Service was hit & miss, but the food is beautifully presented and anytime we are in Ashland, this sweet little restaurant is a permanent stop for us. On our wish list: dining on the patio with our pooch...one can dream right? No dining outdoors, customers were outdoors enjoying beverages & waiting for tables.

From the colorful and pleasant home atmosphere to the rich aromas of coffee and cakes, Morning Glory dishes up a hearty helping of hot yummy. Subtle details such as eclectic coffee mugs (I even spotted a Tasmanian devil mug) and carmelized onions added fun and flavor which I really appreciated. I did spare a star though, my friends. Simply because the hash browns were generic. But don't let that stop you from giving Morning Glory a go. It's worth the extra dough. -the Mrs.

I used to love Morning Glory - not anymore. Long lines out the door, always. Wait staff is clearly rushing. Cooks are clearly rushing. We ordered biscuits & gravy, a breakfast croissant, & one coffee. The bill was $33.08!!! Are you kidding me? My friend's croissant was soggy and falling apart. The $3 coffee was gross, the half n' half was NOT local, NOT organic, and the honey was... Sue Bee. Yuck! These guys do not support local farms. I will never ever go back to Morning Glory. It's trendy, and completely overrated.

This place is super cute! I noticed that all the tables were served coffee in different mugs which added to the cottage/homey feel. The portions were pretty big. I ordered the 'apple gouda chicken sausage, mushroom, spinich, and swiss cheese omelette' and I was satisfied.. Except the sausage in the omelette was a little too 'herby' for my taste. Otherwise it was delicious! The orange juice tasted really fresh. I think they squeeze it there!

I wanted something that felt very Ashland-ish and this was just the place! We had to wait about 15 minutes around 11:30 a.m. on a Thursday but it was worth it. I had the sourdough blueberry pancakes with lemon butter (delicious!!) and my fiance had the Belgian waffle (which equates to about four Belgian waffles). Huge servings, good service, authentic feel. Would definitely go back!

Truly excellent. A favorite stop for years. Took the kids recently and they loved it, too. The Girl, a vegetarian, had a bagel sandwich which she almost couldn't finish - so yummy but so much brie! The Boy, not typically an adventurous eater, had fancy lemon filled french toast and loved it! I had an omelette (chicken sausage) which made me sad because I couldn't finish it. The baked goods, polenta, and hash browns are all terrific, but don't eat them until you finish the even-better main course.

WOW! I was completely blown away by the line that formed to get in here for breakfast. It was from the door to the road 15 min before opening. By the time the place opened, the restaurant was nearly full to capacity. Its great for kids (they have a little toy box area). The coffee, was amazing. The food (I had tofu scramble and a taste of their homemade sausage) was extremely good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was based on service. One lady had a sour look on her face and made a snide comment about it being too busy (why work there knowing how busy it is and have an attitude about it) and our server took forever to bring us our food. I watched people who came in after us get served before us. I would definitely go back. Frequently

Morning Glory was recommended to me by a coworker and former Southern Oregon Univ Alum (campus is right across the street). I came for the Lemon Ricotta French Toast which was magnificent! Ironic that the 2 best breakfasts I've ever had are in Oregon (2nd one being Wildwood Cafe in McMinnville). You will wait in a 1 hour line, but it is worth it! Plus, the beautiful cottage/craftsman style house is so lovely.

Arrived at 8:10am and the restaurant was already full. We managed to get the last 2 available seats at the counter and reviewed the menu. A freshly homemade muffin wAs delivered with a delicious homemade blackberry jam; ohhh my that was absolutely amazing. Next my omelette with basil and tomatoes arrived with a fried polenta. The fried polenta fit perfectly with the eggs and enhanced it's taste. My hubby ordered the scrambled with smoked salmon and a pancake and he devoured everything. He's not even a fan of pancakes however that jam made everything taste so yummy. They have an outside patio area that is charming and quaint. All the ingredients at this place tasted extremely fresh. If you want a hearty breakfast come early before the rush.

We were recommended by a friend to try this place for breakfast we decided to try it before we left. Immediately we saw a lot of people waiting outside. They said it would be a 20 minute wait but it ended up being a 45 minute wait. The service was Fast though we got our food within 5 minutes and the food was so good! It made us forget about the wait Everything is fresh from the eggs to the homemade blueberry muffins. I would recommend this place but be prepared to wait for a table.

Cute little place in ashland, oregon right across the street from southern oregon university. Its kinda like a small cottage run by swet old ladies. The food portions here are ginormous! One dish is enough to feed two people. I got the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast which was delicious. The french toast was fresh and the ricotta was yummy. Their muffins are awesome too. Buttery warm deluciousness. Possibly the best muffin I ever had. The steak omelette I had was just okay. I didnt really like the small chunks of cheese. The service here is pretty awesome. Servers are always nice and very helpful. I will definite be coming bacl to this place. Make sure you try it if you are in the area!

I don't understand the hype for this place. Aside from its eclectic set-up and decor, I was disappointed. The food is good but nothing more than mostly standard diner offerings. My main point of disappointment is with the service. I was promptly seated at the bar and everything was expeditious yet cold and uncaring. My server failed to recognize that my order never came with the side of toast it was to include and never checked in after the food was dropped off in front of me. Once I was done with the 2/3rds of my order, she turned around and threw the ticket at me without asking if it was to my satisfaction or if I wanted anything else. She said nothing; not even a standard and simple thank you. Perhaps this is as good as things get in Ashland. The poor customer service will certainly keep me away.

Highly overrated. A great spot for a fancy breakfast but the few times I've been there the food has been overly spiced and unbalanced. Definitely avoid the smoked bacon omelette or whatever it was. Sadly inedible. If you are looking for a more traditional breakfast with great ingredients, other restaurants in Ashland will take good care of you. This may be the place to take your visiting relatives for Sunday brunch to impress them, but they just didn't make those bacon and egg dreams come about. Also, I'm highly critical of breakfast potatoes and like Brothers, they undercook them alot. Expect raw centers in your hashbrowns. But then again, most places can't do the potatoes right anyway. Alas.

Best breakfast in the whole atea. My favorite is the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast with a fresh raspberry sauce. Very yummy. Great Chai tea as well. There are always waiting lines ..but worth the wait. I drive in from Medford just to eat here.

My absolute favorite breakfast place ! I love the lemon ricotta French toast! Absolutely delicious. But the whole menu is amazing! The servers are always friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful! It was nice to see the decor hadn't changed since I was last in- albeit, over 10 years ago- & was still as busy as ever. My waitress was sweet & very knowledgeable, even prompting the specials before I had time to ask. The fresh-squeezed OJ was another bonus. Their corned-beef hash with poached eggs & rye toast- was amazing! The surprise that worked wonders was their horseradish sour cream- it helped cut down the salt & bring up the eggs. Truth be told, it was so massive, I couldn't finish it lol! Overall, this very hearty breakfast- that was MORE than enjoyable- with tax & well-deserved tip, came to around $25, was money well spent & I would gladly recommend this to locals & tourists alike... just remember that parking is limited in the back, so the hotel next door's wonderful in sharing their lot for hungry patrons.

Absolutely amazing! We came twice during a weekend trip to Ashland, the long waits were completely worth it both days (Sat/Sun mornings). Highlights: Lemon butter, warm banana nut muffins, tofu scramble w/spinach, caramelized onions and kalamata olives, fluffy pancakes. Coffee while you wait. Every single thing was delicious.

WOW this place is amazing. Went for breakfast and found it to really be a breakfast standard that all other breakfast places should try to achieve. All three of us loved our dishes. --Plenty of veggie options --Plenty of ways to combine your meal with choosing different (and all delicious) sides --Good and friendly service --Nice atmosphere --Fresh ingredients --Clearly the new owners didn't ruin the old formula and kept everything great I have one major complaint, and it's big enough to knock off a star. Dishes are $12-$15 for breakfast, and portions are HUGE HUGE HUGE. In the interest of preserving pocketbooks and reducing waste, I betcha most customers (and all of us, certainly, who had to leave with boxes) would rather pay $9-$11 and get just half the size. I'd rather pay "breakfast standard" prices (less) and I would leave satisfied with a cleaned plate, no box, and no waste, and with only half the portion size even greater profits for the restaurant. The hash browns could be browner/crisper too but OMG do you get a LOT of them.

  • Sarah H.

I've not really had a good experience at Morning Glory's and by that I mean the food. Of course there will be lines, it's a popular breakfast place in Ashland. So that should be expected and not complained about. They do accommodate for large groups nicely which is a bonus. However I've had a few things from the menu and either it's been cooked poorly or it had stuff added to it that wasn't on the menu. Like onions in my burger. So I recommend if you have an allergy make that specific to the server and don't go off the menu.

I still can't get the bacon, carmelized onion and fontina cheese omelet out of my head. Heaven on a plate. This is a darned good breakfast place. Not as good as the raves suggest, but much better than most. First the good: I mentioned the omelet which I've since learned comes in a half size (which seemed full-size to me). The filling is perfectly proportioned with smoky bacon chunks complementing the sweet onions. The hash browns are perfectly cooked -- crispy outside and tender inside with full potato flavor. The buttermilk pancakes melt in your mouth The not-as-good: I love muffins, but these were disappointingly bland, as if the cook had forgotten the sugar and the salt. Also, if you're not a big fan of lemon or orange flavors (I think they can overpower a dish), Morning Glory uses a lot of citrus. The fruit topping for the pancake was more citrusy than Marionberry, which kind of ruined the plate for me. Other than that, I'll go back and back and back. It's worth the 45-minute wait.

I love eggs Benedict. Today's special was amazing. The sauce had chipotle in it. It was just enough to give it that zing to the eggs. I will come back here if I'm ever in Ashland. Get there early there is always a waiting line.

Yum Yum YUM! Visiting Ashland for a wedding and was not disappointed in this place! The wait was long, but as soon as you taste the food you know why. We didn't even mind waiting because the outdoor patio area was so nice. And there was a bar out there! We sipped bloody marys while we waited. I'd reccomend the chipotle mary with a beer chaser because it is very spicy and delicious! I ordered the tri tip omelete and the steak was so juicy and decadent. Would definitely reccommend this great place!

We are staying at the Flagship Inn, practically next door to Morning Glory and decided to have breakfast there. We came on a weekday morning and were promptly seated. Service was excellent and the food was great. The portions were large and the food preparation creative. My wife got gluten-free french toast which she said was great. I got a chorizo scramble which was more than I could eat. It was a bit pricey - each dish was around $11, and my double espresso was $6. But the meal was great and we'll definitely return on our next trip through town.

The lemon zest in the pancake BUTTER is KILLER. You have never had anything better. The meals are enormous. The homemade muffins are on point. The chicken sausage is great. There isn't a ton of seating, so I can see how the wait could be a bummer. But this food is not standard diner fare, it is REALLY good. Worth checking out.

There seems to be one of these about every 100 miles of travel -- a breakfast-brunch place so good, it makes you want to extend your stay just so you can have one more breakfast with these people.... At home in Lincoln City, it's the Beach Dog Cafe.... up here in Ashland (my sencond favorite place in Oregon) -- it's Morning Glory. First, it's just cute as it can be -- full of painted shelves and bureaus and cabinets. The walls are covered with huge primitive style acrylic paintings in bright, sunny colors and subjects. There are a dozen cute little robot toys lined up on the above-eye-level ledge.... and any wall big enough is painted in whimsical murals of brownies, garden florals, and sunny skies full of puffy white clouds. And that's just the building... the food is BETTER. Husband ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich -- made with canadian bacon, cheese, 2 fried eggs and tomato. He chose pancakes (2!) as his side, and it came with muffin or toast (he chose muffin.) I chose muffin, too, and assumed that would be an English muffin, but instead, it turned out to be a warm raspberry muffin, served with butter. -- mmmm. real butter on a warm muffin is always welcome. I ordered their rock shrimp omelet - made with unbelievably good applewood smoked bacon, jack cheese, and diced tomatoes. I picked the crispy toasted polenta as my side and it was perffectly browned and crunchy on the outside, and creamy and slightly cheesy (that's a good thing) on the inside. My Smoky Chipotle Bloody Mary was a jolt and ward against the wildfire smoke that filled the town during our visit -- and was perfect except that I dropped the onion and pepperoncini pepper back into the glass and lost them at the bottom under the ice.... There are steps up to the front door -- and a bit of a hill to walk up from their parking lot in back (not unlike most places in Ashland.) So if you're in a wheel chair, take note. The aisles between tables inside are also a little close for a chair. But as long as you're on your feet, there shouldn't be any problem. For those actually in a chair -- there is a nearly flat (1/3 step only) way to go to or through the outdoor seating/garden, then on to the enclosed porch which has 4 lovely tables, more room, and is much quieter in general... this is where I want to be. The place is nearliy always crowded at any hour they're open -- but less so before 8:30. After that, there are probably as many people in the queue (or more) as there are actually being served. Great service. Great food. Great coffee. Great experience.

I love breakfast food. But I'm not a breakfast person. I'll eat breakfast for a late morning brunch on the weekends or after the bars close, but during the normal day-to-day, I skip breakfast because I prefer to sleep as long as possible without being late for work. Having said that, this place redefined breakfast for me. They have all the typical fare here, but somehow they do it so well. Even something as simple as pancakes stands out. But the great thing I had here was the rock shrimp cakes with poached eggs and smoked tomato chutney. It was amazing. And quite filling. For $17, I got the shrimp cakes, the poached eggs, two pancakes (swappable with hash browns, polenta, and some other sides), two pieces of toast, and a small orange juice. I couldn't even finish it. And it's 1pm as I'm writing this review, and I'm not even hungry, the meal was so filling. I arrived at 8a, right at opening, and by 8:30a there was already a line. The place homey and there's a really nice quote painted above the inside of the entrance: "I am one who eats breakfast gazing at morning-glories." It really sets a good tone to start the day. If I lived her, I'd go as often as I could. But alas, I am only here for the Shakespeare Festival.

So far, this is the ONLY place I've rated with 5 stars in I don't know when (at least a year??). It is so good that I'm going to come back whenever I can. The great thing about this place: 1. OMG, the food: spectacular, unique, great quantity and quality. I'm not a breakfast person and I loved EVERYTHING we ordered. 2. The atmosphere: it is very quaint and cutely decorated. 3. Friendly service: I feel badly that my husband tipped badly (I was in the bathroom) because I thought he was right on the spot. Not overly eager, gave us what we needed quickly and without complaint, etc. The not so great thing about this place: 1. Maybe it's the time we went but we waited 45 minutes to get in. I would caution and advise everyone to come in at the oddest hours you can think of. You may even want to call before coming in, not that they take reservation. I noticed there was NO ONE THERE or trying to come in by 1 PM. 2. Because everything is made on the spot, there is NO TAKE OUT during busy hours and times. Something to keep in mind! 3. Can this place be any smaller? I would say it seats MAYBE 50 people and they can seriously double the size. There is an outside patio place that sells coffee, and I don't know if the land is leased out to the coffee lady, but the restaurant sure could use the space. What we had: 1. The stuffed French toast is a dream. Never would I think ricotta cheese inside French toast would be great, but it's seriously one of the most amazing breakfast foods I've ever had. 2. Omelet with the crab meat: such fresh crab meat and lots and lots of it. If you're a fan of crab, you gotta try this. 3. Omelet with the tri-tip: my husband got this one and he absolutely love it. For me, it's a little bit of an old hat, but the cheese they put into it was different and definitely sparked up what would have been an old has-been dish.

Still the best breakfast you can get in Ashland, Oregon or in the entire northwest for that matter. And as before, just make sure you get there early enough otherwise you'll be waiting FOREVER. It's worth it, though.

Fantastic food in a cozy setting. The atmosphere is relaxing. The food is perfect, I have been here many times and I have loved it every time!

Service was outstanding, seated almost immediately at the height of the breakfast hustle. Portions are very sizeable. I can eat, and left food on the plate when done. The food is great and incredibly flavorful. Applewood bacon omelette and lemon French toast are recommended!

On our last day in Oregon, this was the breakfast I had been hunting down since departing Portland. Soooooo good! Oregon seems to embrace Southern cuisine despite being a Northwestern state. Some places do interpretations and some just stick to the classics. Morning Glory is a little of both. The DH ordered a chicken-sausage-and-spinach omelet while I ordered the biscuits-and-gravy I had been on the hunt for. DH's omelet was well cooked and plentiful, taking a new-hand approach with local ingredients. (The plates at MG are HUGE. Be warned.) My biscuits and gravy came accompanied by wonderful crispy hashbrowns and two perfectly over-easy eggs. The sausage gravy was spot on! Classic! Big chunks/pieces of sausage in creamy white gravy. The biscuits were somewhat dense - I would have preferred a much lighter, fluffier biscuit. Food was wonderful and service friendly, attentive and efficient. Morning Glory is a busy place. We had a good hour-long wait on a Thursday morning, but our wait was a pleasant one on their outside patio. Parking is dicey and the drive comes up quick. Parking is probably the greatest challenge. Without question, Morning Glory is going to be a regular stop for us during our back-and-forth drives between the Bay Area and Portland.

This place is great. The food quality is there, the price point is appropriate, and the staff is polite. Honestly one of the best breakfast and lunch places I've ever been to. I enjoy their Bloody Mary as well. A surprising item that is fantastic is the lamb burger. By the way, you should arrive when you aren't too hungry because there is usually a wait.

Food is amazing! Very artfully crafted with interesting dishes and flavor combinations. Totally worth the often long wait and sparse parking - for real! The apple Gouda sausage. Servings are large and decadent, and their hash browns are just right - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The bacon was thick and flavorful.

hot, healthy and good food. I ordered some sort of rice bowl with veggies and chicken and it was great. Also, the service was good and the owner/manager guy was good about going around and asking everyone how their meal was and to have a good day.

The name Morning Glory is most appropriate. My husband and I just shared their special; the most glorious white chocolate pancakes with marrion berries with lemon butter on top. The delicate and rich pancakes were amazing, but the lemon butter to top it off was the coup de grace. We also shared the white cheddar and ham scramble, which was quite delicious. Our daughter was also very please with her meal. The staff here is friendly and the service was speedy, not rushed. The decor feels quaint and warm. We sat in the back room and it was pretty quiet. I'm not sure you would have the same experience in the main seating area. It's also warm in here because they have heat lamps above the tables. Altogether a wonderful breakfast experience that we would wish upon anyone!!!

Sweet morning glory...WOW!!! I don't think that you can go wrong with anything on the menu. My entire party of 6 ended up supremely satisfied with everything they ordered. The ingredients were top-notch. The grapefruit juice was fresh, the cappuccino spot-on frothy goodness, the bacon perfectly crispy apple-smoked yumminess. Portion sizes were very generous. The main dishes came with optional sides of hashbrowns, tomatoes, or polenta as well as a choice of toast or muffin. The southwestern tofu hash with poached eggs and a chipotle sauce had an interesting blend of flavors that were a departure from the more typical omelet combinations. If you like chipotle, the sauce was very nice. The mushroom, spinach, tomato, basil pesto, goat cheese scramble had me stealing bites from across the table. The Gorgonzola omelet with toasted walnuts and caramelized onions received high marks for it's uniquely sweet flavor. The Alaskan red crab with smoked garlic sauce and Parmesan, artichokes and scallions won rave reviews for being ultra fresh (no imitation crab) with generous portions of crab. The most telling detail about the meal was that there was virtually not a scrap of food left when we finished. All told, would come back in a heartbeat.

Before you visit Morning Glory, ask yourself "am I in a hurry?". If you are, don't go. The place is popular, and the wait can be well in excess of an hour. Once seated in the cozy little house, service is prompt and pleasant. Portions are large, food well prepared and presented. Coffee is excellent. Highly recommended - assuming you aren't in a hurry.

Very cool place to get breakfast. Even during the work-week this place was packed. Egg white omelette was divine, as were the blueberry muffins! A couple of folks at the next table had the Bloody Mary's which looked good enough for me to start planning a trip back!

I'm a local and Morning Glory is my #1 go-to for breakfast in Ashland. Every time I go somewhere else, I wish I'd gone to Morning Glory instead! There are so many great dishes to choose from. I love settling into breakfast with a Spicy Planet Chai and a hot berry muffin. The portions are big and always leave me with delicious leftovers for later. I'm also really big on ambiance, and love the art and color in the main restaurant and the little fountain in the back patio room. It's hard to go wrong here...just make sure to get here early enough on weekends cuz the line is always out the door!

We found this place off of here of course and tbh it wasn't half bad. The staff is all friendly, the food was made in a timely manner and was absolutely perfect. The only down side is the seating near the door has a couple of annoying flies but that's not nearly enough to drop my rating.

  • Claire M.

This place has amazing food! I recommend it to everyone I know! The wait can be a little long sometimes, depending on what day you go (weekends are usually busier). But it's so worth the wait! Also if you enjoy a little breakfast buzz try out their mimosas! The best I've had!

Finally got to try Morning Glory after years of hearing it's praises sung and it absolutely lives up to the hype. The wait on a Friday morning was quite long (40 minutes) but once we were seated the service was exceptional. I got the smoked salmon bagel platter which was out of this world, with generous helpings of salmon, cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, and capers. I liked that it was all pre-assembled and you could just dig right in rather that having to assemble it yourself (I'm not a morning person and sometimes don't have the mental capacity for early tasks that require thought and motor skills). My husband got the Lemon Ricotta French Toast which was not too sweet with just the right amount of lemony goodness. It really was exceptional. It'll definitely be on my radar for our trip up to the Shakespeare Festival next year. The one low spot was the side of bacon I ordered. It came out over cooked and leathery. It was almost like eating bacon jerkey. It was all I could do to get it down. And of course I got it down because it was, after all, BACON!

When I was a broke college student living in Ashland several years ago, breakfast at Morning Glory was a special and hard-to-come-by treat, due to lack of money and long lines out the door every morning when I had to get to class on time. But, oh, the food was so good. There are items on Morning Glory's menu you will never see anywhere else. And I could justify spending the money because breakfast kept me full through lunch. The servers were so nice and relaxed, even with the restaurant full to the gills. Over the years, every trip to Ashland has included a stop at Morning Glory and I have introduced several friends and family members to this magical little eatery that was such a staple of my student life. In Ashland just a couple weeks ago, I learned that, like so many things in this sweet little town, Morning Glory has changed. There was no long line outside the door. Only a few other patrons were dining, yet our server disappeared for long stretches of time. The menu was familiar, but the quality of the food, or maybe just the chef, had gone way downhill. My scrambled eggs were overcooked (brown in some spots) and tough to get down. The hash browns were salty as all get-out on one side, tasteless on the other. Don't even get me started on the tofu sausage- what a hot mess. My meal was listed as $9.50 on the menu; when the bill came, I had been charged $12. Morning Glory left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and not just from the food.

I think this place is over-rated. Their selection, unlike most of the places I ate at in Ashland, had very few gluten-free options (other than GF toast instead of regular toast, and of course, egg dishes). Their selections were standard brunch (omeletes and pancakes) fare. Everyone we talked to before our trip to Ashland recommended this restaurant, but frankly, i didn't think it shone brighter than other places we went to.

One day, I will get my life together & create a list for "Places with Lines that ain't nobody got time for... on the other hand" Apparently we were "lucky" because we only waited an hour, & they were lucky since I'm not one who really eats breakfast at breakfast, so I wasn't as hungry. ON THE OTHER HAND... 1. There is a lovely cafe outside where libations and muffins can be purchased. I would suggest putting your name on the list and then scooting outside for a coffee and mimosa. Coffee was about $3 & the mimosa $7. So sip on that and sit a while. 2. The portions are MASSIVE and stuffed french anything is good. We all had different things, but all were delicious and you are allowed to HALF order. But seriously, this is America, live a little. 3. I'm a bit leary of omelets that are $14 each, but the ingredients are so fresh and the omelet came with Alaskan crab so along with my belt I through my scruples aside and said yes. 4. Marionberry, like sweet tea in the south is assumed not asked for. So have it on the side, but expect that with your toast you will see it. 5. Final protip: Mondays are busy because the theatres are dark so you will have a longer wait. Add holiday weekends and weekends in general to that and you will have a longer wait. If you do wait any other time, it shan't be as long. Bon Chance!

If I was a writer, I would create Morning Glory in my stories. A lovely garden in front with a swing to sit on. Bright blue walls with shakespeare quotes and flowers. Funky seating with mismatched plates and cups. Waitresses with a bright smile and stories to tell. And of course, a menu with endless options. Pancakes? Sure. But with a twist. Everything with a twist, unique, a fresh take on a classic. Even the lunch items stand out as special. Huge salads that make healthy eating a breeze. Gosh! I just love this breakfast place. And so does everyone else. So be prepared for a wait, and to be there a while. This the place to go if you want breakfast in Ashland. Actually this is the place to go in Ashland if you want breakfast OR lunch. Overall, one of the best places Ashland has to over, and never a disappointment.

Superb breakfast menu! The shrimp cakes with poached eggs were amazing, the staff was fun and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and unique! My husband had their pancakes which were scrumptious on their own but the lemon butter they put on them made them mouth-watering!!!

A fun place for breakfast or brunch. The food is tasty and fresh. The things that aren't my favorite: my waffle and a few berries on top cost more than my friends omelette, toast and potatoes. It was the size of the same waffles I make at home, but it was the 'special'. That was a bummer. Also- if they served outside in the nice months, which would be awesome, the wait wouldn't be so long :)

What a great breakfast experience! One I will remember for a long time. We ordered one poppy seed waffle and a side of bacon for the two of us. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey, but I now know better, it was one of the best waffles I have had in my lifetime. And the bacon, 4 huge slices of thick and meaty, well smoked bacon, was exceptional too. The waffle iron must have been industrial sized, because it came out as 4 squares, each the size of a normal pancake. Cover it with their melty, lemon butter and the freshly made berry compote they served on the side, made from perfectly ripe Oregon blackberries that are so abundant this time of the year. I wonder what they use once the season is up? I am going to check on how to get that bacon too. The waitress told me to go to Nueskes.com to find my bacon. The place is a cute, brightly decorated bungalow home from the 1920's with a cutesy patio in the front for dining as well. The interior was casual, with an eclectic variety of chairs, tables and benches, and our meal came on some of Grandma's hand painted flowery dishes. Expect to find it filled with the baby boomer crowd as well as young families. Parking. Not great. There is a sign in the driveway to park next door in the motel parking lot. Definitely a good tip. Consider this recommendation a "must-try". I am so happy I ignored the 2 star ratings. I can't wait to go back next trip.

Wow. One of the best breakfast restaurant I've been to for quite some time. Portions are gigantic and food - and their homemade jam - was delicious. People were so nice in there and service was quite fast. Somewhat limited parking space in the back and if I'm remembering correctly, the parking low adjacent to the restaurant can be used too. I will definitely come back here if I'm in Ashland again. What a hidden gem in a small town!

  • Bobether H.

I am a breakfast fanatic (I'll literally drive miles for a decent Sunday breakfast) and this place beat any expectation I could have ever had. I had the chorizo scramble which was super scrumptious, hash browns with gravy, and a blueberry muffin that I saved for late. The gravy was hands down the best gravy I've ever (EVER) had, my scramble was cooked to perfection, and my cousin ordered pancakes instead of hash browns so we traded half... Let me tell you, the pancake I could have eaten with no topping but they served it with lemon butter and fresh marionberry compote... Sheesh, this place beat everywhere in the world I've ever had breakfast. Definitely a spot to visit.

  • Meghan L.

I live in LA and sometimes dream about driving up to Ashland just to get breakfast here. It's adorable inside and likely the best muffins, pancakes, eggs I've ever had. Worth the wait and portions are huge.

    (5)
  • Geoff D.

After a 90 minute wait and a lot of hype, I admit my expectations were rather high. But the bottom line is good, not great. The bacon was half burned/ half raw and the French toast peach cobbler special had suspiciously non-local fruit. But the blueberry pancakes with lemon butter were tasty though *almost* burned. Portions are enormous but so is the price If you can get there without a crowd in front of you, it's definitely more than adequate but certainly not worth an extended wait although Ashland doesn't really do much better for breakfast. By the way, the place is for sale (at $700k+}. If someone with a touch of professionalism came in, the place could really rock

Pretty dang good breakfast. Best ever? Nah, not quite. I've definitely had better. I will give this to MG -- while most of my local reviews are qualified with the "good for Ashland/Medford/Grants Pass" caveat, this one definitely is good enough to merit a review outside of those lines. I've always known MG to be ultra-busy and crowded, so rather than have to deal with that, we checked in just before noon on a getaway weekend. We were seated within minutes, which apparently isn't the norm for MG. We also found parking quite quickly, which can also be an issue some times. We had the cheesecake stuffed french toast w/pineapple syrup, and a custom ordered chicken & waffles plate. The waitress seemed a little confused at first about having chicken with waffles, but she acquiesced. Just a few minutes later, our food arrived, and we devoured. Not the best chicken & waffles, but pretty good considering it wasn't a menu item for them. Oh, and the french toast -- wow. On our server's return, she asked if we had the idea for chicken & waffles from Portland's Screen Door. I had to LOL in my head on that one -- love Screen Door, but that's a Roscoe's specialty sweetheart! But I do appreciate how friendly and attentive she was. I could do without the cramped quarters at MG, but given this is a converted home, no surprise here really. Speaking of Screen Door, it's about there space-between-tables-wise, but with a lot less noise. Of course, do remember we came here in what was really an off-hour, so my thoughts on spacing, crowding, and noise may vary from your experience. The food however, was exceptionally good! And the ambiance -- so quintessentially Ashland.

After a night at the Ashland Hostel my cousin and I were looking for a delicious breakfast before our road trip to Portland. The applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onion, fontina omelette was phenomenal! A+ for the food... But the customer service could have been better.

Best in the West. I've have had breakfasts up and down the west coast, and this place consistently is my favorite breakfast joint. The potions are large...so if you go with a group, I recommend sharing. My favorites are the Rock shrimp, applewood bacon omelette, or the steak omelette. Then for dessert, the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast. And I don't know what they do to make their hash browns so good. I cube of butter per serving? Lunch is also good here, but their breakfasts are so good if I go in the afternoon, it is usually breakfast for lunch. I only wish they had dinner service. Cause I could easily have breakfast for dinner on occasion here too.

  • Marcin M.

Maybe I chose the wrong dish, but, I was underwhelmed by my breakfast experience at Morning Glory, especially given all of these great reviews here. It's pretty standard diner food with a long line in the morning... though, I'm not sure if the line indicates that this place is great or that other breakfast places in Ashland are lacking. The vegetarian hash that I ordered was on the runny side and just tasted a bit bland. Choose a different dish. Service was a bit slow too so it's not a quick in-and-out breakfast joint.

My husband is from Medford and thank God he is b/c the trip to Ashland every few months is always on our list of places to eat. I couldn't tell you about the whole menu but the pancakes and biscuits and gravy are so good I get the same thing every time! =)

Morning Glory is for sale now (02/28/2014 visit). I don't know if the morale of the staff, including cooks, has been dealt a blow, or what, but the food was crappy and greasy. Whoever was cooking did not give a damn. My friend got a stomach ache after having brunch there. It lasted all afternoon and finally she threw up. We had been so excited to go there after reading many glowing reviews on Yelp. However, the servers were delightful. The good news is that we had many delicious, amazing meals at other restaurants in Ashland. Morning Glory is definitely the bad exception,.

We were extremely thrilled trying Morning Glory for the first time. We've been to Ashland many times, don't know how we missed this one! I asked about seating outside, but staff said that they tried serving outside one year, and they just couldn't handle both inside and out.. Totally understandable as the place is jumpin. The outside area however is a perfect place to wait. There is a little kiosk of sorts, set up for coffee and other little goodies while you wait. It has tables and chairs, and is very comfortable, shaded, and relaxed. On a busy weekend, we got there about 9am, and it was an hour wait. It's close enough to downtown, so we explored a bit and then came back 45 minutes later and it worked out perfect. Small parking area, but we parked at the hotel next door. GREAT food, and GREAT, attentive staff despite the fact that the place was FULL. Food was amazing! We had the crab cakes with hollandaise and the coconut - almond waffles' fresh jam, amazing muffin. Lots of food. We shared both, and I had a the bloody mary. Wow. Thank you! The best place for sure! Highly recommended, no question.

Meh. We tried this place because of the great reviews and cozy look. The food was not really even up to Denny's breakfast standards. I considered one star. Flavorless coffee (and capuccino), burnt bacon, watery eggs. Even though the staff were friendly, and the space was cozy, I can't recommend it. Sorry.

Love everything about this place. I honestly do not have any complaints about the best breakfast joint in town. They have an amazing menu that can satisfy anyone's grumbling tummy. From savory to sweet, you can't go wrong with any choice you make. Their portions are huge and definitely worth the wait and the price. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and it seems like everyone that works there has been there for years. I get the same thing nearly every time. Bacon, caramelized onion, fontina cheese omlette with pancakes and a side of wheat toast. Their jam is to die for, and their lemon butter will leave you asking for seconds to slather onto everything and anything. They also just added a bar outside which is great because when you wait you can get your giant mimosa and sip it out on the patio in the sunshine, surrounded by the beautiful garden! This place is an absolute MUST!

Morning Glory is the go-to breakfast place in Ashland. Unfortunately, that means that everyone goes to it. Because I prefer having breakfast way earlier than their 8AM opening hour, I walked past at 7:15 to see if I could snag a coffee before the kitchen was officially open. Bad news: the front door was locked shut. Inside, I could see lots of people bustling around. They really do bustle. (See the other reviews.) The silver cloud here -- and it was a shiny one -- was that I ended up at Case (just a bit up the street), where I got my pre-breakfast coffee. Case is a Great Thing; check it out! I returned to Morning Glory at 7:59:30 and saw quite a few people waiting to get in. The doors opened on schedule, and I grabbed a seat at the counter. My server handed me a menu almost immediately. As a result, I was lucky enough to get in an order for two eggs with smoked bacon before the big rush of orders from the people who were seated at tables. My breakfast was A-OK (at the minimum); maybe we should be talking four stars. I didn't try their coffee because I had gotten properly caffeinated up the street. The orange juice was fine, but nothing special. The bacon, eggs and English muffin were exactly what I was hoping for. The hashed browns that I chose with the egg dish were a kind of pre-baked hash brown cake. This cake was pretty dry and not the high point of the experience; I was expecting loose cut-up browned potatoes and got something that I considered sub-optimal. This breakfast cost me $18.75, including tip. I didn't come away thinking that I'd gotten an excellent deal. On the other hand maybe the price was fair: we are in touristy Ashland here, and Morning Glory has the reputation of being at the top of the heap.

My favorite breakfast place in Ashland. Portions are HUGE, so don't hesitate to get the "half" order. Chipotle bloody marys are tasty and everything is delicious. Downside is there could be a long wait, so get there early. No reservations.

This is a cute, cozy, and friendly place for breakfast. The portions are very generous and the flavors are spectacular. The restaurant is well known for its blueberry pancakes with lemon better. This was my first trip to morning glory, but you can be sure it won't be my last. I was with friends who have been going there for many years, And now I can see why! Our server was great, too.

Just had one of the best breakfasts of my life here. I had the Apple and Gouda Chicken Sausage omelette with hash browns and a homemade blueberry muffin on the side. Everything was delicious and what you are looking for when going to a diner, but sadly, rarely happens. The hash browns were clean, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside with the perfect flavor, I almost coulsn't believe it. Also my cappuccino was superb. I stayed in Medford last night on the way to Seattle but decided to double back and give this place a try from the reviews and I'm so glad I did!

I wish I could shrink Morning Glory and put it in my pocket to take home so I could eat delicious breakfast whenever I want to. I'm not a huge breakfast fan so if I'm saying that, well... you should probs listen. The portions are MEGA SIZED! Even though we knew this, GZ decided to order the Chorizo Scramble (with pancakes & blueberry muffin) AND the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. I know, he crazy. Luckily our waitress let us know he could do half orders of each and he MIGHT finish it (he didn't). The blueberry muffin was WARM and homemade, HELLA GOOD. Almost made me sad I ordered English Muffin but then I tasted the jam on the table and was happy I had a vessel to put that jam in my mouth. I had the Rock Shrimp Cakes which are basically Crab Cakes but made with rock shrimp, duh. THEY WERE DELICIOUS. I think this dish is seriously underrated. The smoked tomato chutney is the perfect accompaniment and the hashbrowns were solid though I wish they were a bit crispier (so much better than crappy home fries though, ugh). The polenta looked really great too and I kind of wish I had ordered that instead. I also indulged in a Caffe Breve and the foam was heavenly. Perfect, perfect. Service was fine; helpful though a bit distant. Better than most places we came across in Oregon. I come from the land of breakfast and I must say this breakfast was damn good. Will definitely come back and indulge next time in Ashland.

Great breakfast, from the smell walking up to the place to the time you finish your meal the experience is what you deserve out of a great breakfast place. Morning Glory is one of this places you see the reviews and wonder if it can be true, and it continually does. Best hash browns I have ever eaten.

Best breakfast food in Oregon!! The tofu spinach scramble was delicious. And the lemon ricotta French toast with Marion berries on top was truly unforgettable. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive. Service was prompt. The line was out the door but yet we were seated in 10 minuets. We will return whenever we can!.

As far as breakfast places go, this IS IT! Simply the best!!! It has been at least 10 years since I have eaten at the Morning Glory and it's just as good (if not better) then I remember!!! I had the applewood bacon (side) and the lemon ricotta french toast...You can NEVER go wrong with the french toast - ever!

Absolutely fantastic food! Great staff, too! Meats are all high quality. Portions are large. Menu is traditionally inspired, but kicked up a notch with some unique twists. You won't be disappointed. Expect a wait though, its a popular place.

My favorite place in town. The decor makes you feel right at home and so do the servers. The food: A-M-Azing! Huge portions get you ready for any adventure Ashland has to offer. You gotta try the polenta cakes with a side of pesto...my favorite!

Best breakfast in Ashland. Fun, eclectic, cozy atmosphere. You usually have to wait for a table on Sundays, it can be a bit of a mad house. There is a little bit of parking in the back, but otherwise you have to find street parking.

Here we go again. We live very close to Morning Glory, but have only been able to eat there once. We checked in to a full house (albeit Sunday) around 12:15 in the afternoon and waited a good 45 minutes to be seated. I ordered a mocha and it was not hot, but barely warm. I regret not going to Case a block down for coffee during that 45 minute wait. My fiance ordered one of their overly sweet breakfast items and I ordered the bacon waffle. The portions are huge, and in my experience, quantity does not equal quality. This was no exception. The idea of a savory waffle is great, honestly, with some eggs cooked the right way on top, this might work. But the bacon they use has the strongest smoke-flavor that you cannot even taste the waffle. Normally savory + sweet works beautifully together (see: VooDoo doughnuts Bacon Maple Bar) but this was not executed properly. I did order a side of their sausage (pork) patties and to my surprise, they were quite delicious, but a little more Thanksgiving Dinner stuffing than breakfast sausage. The sweet french toast items are tasty, but again huge portions and taste more like dessert than breakfast. All in all, a 45 minute wait, cold coffee, unpleasant tasting food, and a $50 bill for 2, we would have had better luck grabbing coffee at Case and a breakfast sandwich at Subway for a fraction of the cost and time. My hunt for a decent breakfast place in the Rogue Valley continues.

You might pass this place when you're walking by, because it simply looks like the homeliest, friendliest little house that you imagine is full of old, cheerful grandmothers making breakfast all day for starving patrons like yourself. It's the BEST breakfast in town! Huge menu and all the options look so delicious, it may take you awhile to decide. The swiss chard omelette and it was near perfect; nicely complimented by slices of fresh tomatoes on the side. The vegetable and the eggs shared the spotlight on this plate. Liked the lightness of the cranberry French Toast from the bites I had. Not overly soaked inside and a nice, varying textured crust on the exterior. Cute decor inside and friendly atmosphere. Any time anybody's going to Ashland for the first time, I tell them they must visit Morning Glory. I wouldn't lie to them. It's THAT good!

This place is: fresh flowers, farmhouse cotton tablecloths, a covered patio with retro green rafters, things growing everywhere in little pots, a wonderful painting of a garlanded cow...and a trellis soon to be covered in morning glories, looks like. I haven't even tasted the food yet (Moroccan oatmeal on the way), but already I'm in love.

Delicious, unique breakfasts. Friendly and efficient service. I had the tofu scramble which was delicious with the cheese flavored polenta. My boyfriend had pancakes with lemon sugar butter on the side. The butter was AMAZING! Sugar in butter- Genius! Marion berry sauce was delicious and a little cup of Oregon. The staff was extremely kind and efficient. At one point another waiter stopped to apologize to the BF for bumping his chair several times. Wow. I wish we had a place like this in the Bay Area. Just be careful of long lines on weekends.

What a sight to behold coming into Oregon after our long drive through the night. My friends and I were starving for some breakfast and we came to the right place judging by the time we got there, which was 9 am, and there was already a line waiting to get a spot and sit down. Luckily you can grab some coffee while you wait and read the array of literature they have like "What the hell are you doing with your life?" type books along with some questionable children's literature, you know, uplifting and positive stuff. Good way to start off the morning. Once we were finally seated we ordered some omelettes which were pretty damn delicious. But the one thing that has stayed on my mind since that fateful morning were their marionberry muffins. I honestly can't get over them and have thought about it ever since. It's like a relationship that ended before it even began. I'm seriously looking back and pining over the things that could've been, the amount of muffins I could've consumed. This is when I get super romantic or maybe stalker crazy in contemplating making another trip to Ashland for these things. Seriously, I may have a problem. All in all, if you ever find yourself here make this the first stop of the day so you can start it right. And don't forget to try the muffins! Believe me (the crazy lady), you will never regret it.

The food is so good! I had the bagel and lox and my boyfriend had the biscuits and sausage gravy with hash browns, eggs, and sourdough toast. Service was quick and the food was filling and tasty. Fantastic hot chocolate and they use full tea leaves with a reusable filter. If you're in Ashland for whatever reason, definitely check it out.

A place that needs no introduction but I'm going to throw it another 5 star bone just because the cheesecake nutella stuffed french toast changed my life. But actually this was probably the most sinful, wonderful breakfast experience I have had in a LONG time. Homey interior (but actually, this is a home converted into a breakfast locale). French toast options can be a little boring if you don't order properly (Stick with the Lemon Ricotta or mentioned Cheesecake Nutella above (sadly a special), a mainstay on the menu and quite a treat). Omelets are quality noms. Bottomless coffee for a decent price too. *\\~*Gratuitious Text Decoration for Wonderful Breakfasts*~//*

I still love this place. Tried the coconut almond waffle with lemon butter this time and it was utterly fantastic. The marionberry preserves/syrup made it all the better. They still don't open until 8:00 and I still think that's kind of late. Word to the wise: get here early. There were 25 people in line at 7:55 on my most recent visit.

Awesome breakfast place in Southern Oregon... Great atmosphere for friends and family. Food is great... Service is excellent... You can sit at the counter and in the dining and you'll all have plenty to talk about with the waiters/waitresses... I give it 2 thumbs up... lol

I had their mushrooms, spinach and goat cheese omelet. It is delicious, but it is definitely for 2 people. I also like how they have fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.

Ignore the whiney reviews and eat here. I am an experienced diner and chef and this place blew my hair back. 5 star experience across the board. Great service, and phenomenal food. I had the shrimp cakes and shared with my wife who had the bacon, fontina, and caramelized onion omelette. The shrimp cakes were prefect and the flavor with the tomato chutney and perfectly runny poached eggs was extremely impressive. I was interested in the omelette my wife ordered but thought it would be just an average bacon, cheese and onion omelette like I make at home a couple times a week. I was wrong. The caramelized onions really made the difference adding a sweetness and complexity to the dish. I am stealing that idea for sure. The in house made berry muffins were also flawless. I kept trying to find something to fault them with, but I could not. Anyone who says the food at this place is "meh" or "bland" is an effing idiot. Seriously, this place is punching way above their weight. Not only is this restaurant great for Ashland, it would hold its own in any major city in the world.

Don't bother with any other breakfast/brunch place in Ashland... This place displayed all the tell tale signs of a great restaurant from the get go and needless to say I was anything but disappointed by my lemon ricotta stuffed French toast...

ALWAYS A FIVE STAR PLACE!!! Woohoo! As good as it gets! Don't expect fast food! Chances are you may have to wait for a table to open. There could even be a line waiting for the open sign to turn. Relax and give thanks that your lucky enough to have landed yourself in Ashland! The food is fresh and made to order with unexpected combinations that pair excellently together. The portions are pleasantly surprising, I always take home left overs. The ambiance is whimsical and pajamas are encouraged. I've been in love with this place for 15+ years! If it gets better than this, please tell me! Randomness: I did a Google search for "morning glory" and this place popped up at #6, impressive!

Went back after a long absence, with a friend who has 2 kids since our last visit. A few notes. 1) Lemon. Ricotta. Raspberry. RIDICULOUS. I carry it with me at all times, both on my hips and in my heart. 2) They are so good with kids! It's a cozy, sweet little spot, but you don't ever get the feeling that the addition of children are a nuisance or unwelcome. 3) After we left, my friend said to me, "Katrina, we must remember that Morning Glory tastes like Heaven." Still fantastic, after all these years.

Came here for breakfast on a recent road trip up through Ashland. The specials that morning were orange peel and blueberry pancakes with walnut butter and a belgian waffle with mixed berries and lemon butter. Both sounded so tempting that I couldn't possibly resist... I had both. Don't worry, I did share with a friend. Both specials were great! The walnut butter and lemon butter added a unique twist to both dishes. The berries were also fresh and very flavorful. I also tried a few bites of my sister's chicken sausage, spinach, mushroom, and swiss omelet. I intended on having just one bite, but it was so good I kept going. Whoops. Everyone else enjoyed their breakfast and we left happy and full. If you're ever looking for a solid and delicious breakfast in Ashland, Morning Glory is the place to go!

This place is absolutely wonderful. We were in Ashland for the theater and stopped here for a late breakfast. The stuffed Raspberry French Toast was amazing. We decided to go back again the next day with the family. Though we had breakfast we wanted everyone to try the French toast. The second time we shared a Marion Berry stuffed french toast and once again it was as good as the Raspberry. Though there is always a wait you can sit out side and enjoy a cup of coffee and that helps. It is rather small and gets a little difficult to seat a group together, The toast is even great reheated to finish off what you couldn't earlier.

Nice, cozy restaurant in an old house serving creative, top notch breakfast fare. Prices are reasonable, portions enormous, and flavors balanced and excellent. Presentation is also far above average for an American breakfast place. Ample seating made for no waiting and service was quick and friendly. Additionally, Morning Glory serves loose leaf Numi tea (which, for us tea folks is delightful considering most places focus on coffee and just offer cheap Lipton tea). Ignore the haters and those longing for their past experiences, this place is excellent. It is also superior to Bread Board--Ashland's other good breakfast option.

The menu is very creative and the food is just as delcious. We came to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival and ate at Morning Glory's all three mornings. The lemon ricotta stuffed french toast is to die for and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The place its self is very homey and inviting. We came because of the reviews on Yelp and can proudly say we were not disappointed. Even being a small restaurant, the wait staff make sure you are not without a table for more than 20 minutes or so and the food is SO worth it. A must eat.

This is the consummate breakfast house. They also serve lunch, but we didn't try that. Get there early or late. It's a small, quaint, house, converted to a restaurant. And it's popular! We arrived about 10:20 on a Tuesday, and it was nearly full. I had a steak and mushroom omelette that was totally incredible. it came with hash browns and the portions were huge! The omelette was cooked perfectly. It had some really cool sauce that I can't begin to describe. Pieces of steak and mushrooms were coated with a cheesy, flavorful filling that melted in my mouth. My daughter had a pecan and coconut waffle that was so big she only ate a fourth of it. She ate it for breakfast for the next two days! The atmosphere is full of warmth. Smells are homey and the service is friendly but laid-back. This would be a great place to take a client, if you could be seated quickly. It's not too loud, given the close seating arrangements, and the food is so reassuring that a good time is assured. We'll be back the next time we are in Ashland.

They just have a really amazing innovative menu. I can say that sometimes there is a long wait, and it's not the cheapest in town, but the food alone gives it the 5 stars. And the portions are giant. Two people can very easily split a breakfast entree and be satisfied. Good coffee too. The ambiance is also very pleasant. Nice open feel with eclectic, yet tasteful decor. You feel kinda like you are in a garden (which you could be since they have garden seating). When I open my own restaurant I aspire to be like Morning Glory. A definite favorite, good for going again and again.

Wow, so glad we stopped here instead of Medford. The spot has very little parking, be aware. It's a sweet little cottage with a beautiful deck. The service is very attentive. They were able to mix things up for us and I always appreciate that without all the eye rolling. Hubby had the Swiss chard scramble with tomatoes and rye toast and was giddy with joy. $12 I had the red crab omelet with artichokes and cream sauce. Came with potatoes and choice of toast or muffin (I got the muffin to go). It was enough for four people it was so abundant and filling. The tastes were wonderful. $13.50 Two Egg breakfast with potatoes and toast $8.50 shared between my kiddos and it also had a blueberry muffin to go. It was so good that we planned our return trip around having breakfast there again! Second visit got the Ham and Egg crossaint and asked for poached eggs and croissant and muffin on the side to go. It was great to have poached eggs, ham, cheese and tomato! May I suggest you add that option instead of the sandwich? And for the girls this time around we just got scrambled eggs and a bagel with creamcheese; which was plenty and worked out to $6 bucks! What a delight it would be if they were open for dinner! PS: I've been to the Morning Glory Cafe in Eugene, OR and they don't even hold the match to the flame of this place! They can't even be compared.

We are regular visitors to Ashland. Always wanted to try this place. Finally tried it this trip. First attempt, 1-2 hour wait without much enthusiam or guidance from the host stand. Returned another morning. Food was good, but a little over the top on our omelette- ordered bacon, cheese, mushroom. Filling was so immense and dense- ended up eating outside of eggs separately. Definitely a place to split entrees- portions were very generous. The oats are really not oatmeal- but oats- not creamy- at all. Good- but not oatmeal as I am used to. The best food of all- ended up being my kid's pancake which she didn't like- picky picky- but we loved- the lemon pancakes. To die for. I would order the next stack for myself and skip the omelette. Service was great. Very cute place. You might have to park at the motel next door. For an easy, more affordable, kid friendly breakfast I still prefer the Breadboard- but the pancakes may be worth a return trip when the wait is not so long.

This cute remodeled house has become THE place to go for breakfast in Ashland. Everything we had was delicious - the hot muffins had real blueberries in them, the lemon poppyseed waffle was topped wtih lemon butter and fresh berries of an excellent quality, and my husband's fried chicken sandwich was delish, extra crispy crust and moist meat. Be prepared for a bit of a ridiculous wait, but it's not their fault they're so good. There isn't a lovelier place to wait than the spacious gardens in front of the restaurant.

I am remiss in not having written this review YEARS ago. S.M.'s review sums it up quite nicely ("Best. Pancakes. Ever"). The pancakes and waffles (and creative/unique butter combinations) are the best that I have ever had. I recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before their 8:00 am opening time to save yourself from a potentially lengthy wait. Eventually I might try one of their egg/scramble offerings because those look good too... nah... who am I kidding? I will ALWAYS order pancakes or waffles at Morning Glory.

We just drove from San Francisco to Portland. We ate out most of the time, in and on the way to Portland. This meal was the best I had, hands down. My son ordered the pancakes and at first I thought "those look like perfect pancakes" then I had a sample and the lemon butter they come with is exquisite. Definitely order the pancakes if you come here, and you really should. My other son and I ordered waffles. They are huge - either share or ask for a half order. You get literally 4 Belgian waffles with an order. He got bacon and I got pecan. They were really good as well, but I kept going back to those pancakes. I also got a mimosa - very good, large as well :) I can't wait to go back!

Hands down one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to. They offer gluten-free versions of just about anything, but the toast (the bread is made locally) is delicious. I highly recommend the chorizo scramble and the spinach and chicken apple sausage omelette.

Morning Glory is basking in some Yelp love. It is the highest rated restaurant in Ashland AND has the most reviews (almost 2x more than the next place). So how good is it? Pretty damn good. Important note - do not rely on visitor maps to judge distance. It is pretty far down Siskiyou Blvd. away from most of the other shops, restaurants and theatres. A good 20 minute walk at a brisk pace, across from the Southern Oregon University campus. The restaurant is in a cottage and is cute as a button. I particularly liked the electric blue walls, murals and original artwork. They also have adorable benches and swings out front to make the wait pleasant. We ordered a mix of breakfast and lunch items after a 20 minute wait to be seated on the weekend. My tandoori chicken sandwich with pesto (daily special) was really good, but a dripping mess to eat. My dining companions enjoyed their meals, but weren't raving. Nice mix of people and lots of college kids. This food is way better than the dining commons, I'm sure.

As good as we remembered! Good mocha and breve. Hubby enjoyed his southwestern scramble, I enjoyed the croissant and the fresh blueberry muffin. Appreciated the eclectic coffee mugs.

Huge amounts of not-very-good, fattening, expensive food in an extremely noisy environment. I really want to like this place because the service is good and it's so pretty inside. But the enormous serving sizes really turn me off, especially since the food is so mediocre. And the noise!! Oh my, it's loud in there. It's painful.

Highly reviewed breakfast spot that lives up to hype. The Good We were in Ashland for one night and looked on Yelp for a good breakfast place and this place popped to the top. The reviews were so good that I was a little wary that the bar would be set too high and the Morning Glory would fail to meet my expectations. I am happy to say that the Morning Glory delivered and is well worth your time. I ordered the special linguica scramble and it was extremely good. Instead of potatoes, I ordered the fruit. Most breakfast places give an acceptable, but somewhat pathetic offering of maybe a slice of kiwi, few slices of strawberries covering honeydew, cantaloupe, and red grapes. Not this time. This time is was marionberries, watermelon, lots of strawberries, blueberries, and grapes. Awesome. The bacon I got on the side was smokey and flavorful. My son got the kids buttermilk pancake with blueberries and he chowed it down. My daughter, who is sensitive to gluten, was happy that they had gluten-free toast and had it with some oatmeal. My wife got the waffles with walnut butter and was in heaven. She LOVED the home made marionberry syrup that she drizzled on her toast. Everything was excellent. The Bad The main bad is going to be the wait. We went on a Thursday morning and waited for 20 minutes. Most restaurants are not worth that wait, but this is an exception. Great food and ambience will welcome you after your wait. The other bad was our waiter. All of the other staff was friendly, welcoming, and energetic. Our guy seemed like he smoked a doob and was in a haze. I had to remind him of the side of bacon and he seemed to move a little more slowly than everyone else. Maybe he was new or maybe he was just off, but we would have preferred one of the other tables. Both bads are minor. We will definitely make a point of getting breakfast here again in the future and I highly recommend you give it a try!

Cozy, charming little house that has been converted to a restaurant. Huge selection of breakfast items. They smoke their own meats. The fried polenta is a nice addition. Also their home made berry syrup is really good. Very big portions and friendly service.

Recently had the opportunity to dine with my Daughter at the Morning Glory... What a treat...!!!! Nice menu selection, not the run of the mill thats for sure... We decided to try the chicken chipotle sandwich and the portabella Burger .. both were super tasty ... I'm looking forward to going back and trying some new things...

Lemon ricotta french toast ordered by my husband was really good. But my shrimp omelet was underdone and salty. There was also excess grease on my plate and the muffin was not fresh. Given the prices and just ok food would not come here again.

A trip to Ashland isn't complete without a visit to Morning Glory! In the dozen or so times I've eaten here it has always been flawless. I wish I could transport this place to Portland, but then I wouldn't be nearly as cool.

After years of living in the valley and even going to college at SOU I was told to try morning glory a few months ago and I've never looked back. No other breakfast I've had compares to them. My absolute favorite is the scrambled eggs with ham and white cheddar with hashbrowns and a muffin. The atmosphere is great, but don't expect to get in quickly. I have found that weekdays in the early afternoon an hour before closing hold the best chance to walk in and get seated right away, otherwise it's typically a 20-40 minute wait on the weekends. It's worth the wait though to get quality food that tastes amazing. Service is usually good, and even though the prices seem a bit steep it's worth it. You can even save a few dollars by getting a half order with gives you a portion size that seems more doable. So glad to have discovered this place!

The sign of a good restaurant is the biscuits and gravy and are gravy and biscuits homemade. The place is very quaint quirky a lot of fun and the food is plentiful and very good. I strongly suggest you try this place.

Went in here a while back to have breakfast with my mom. Honestly, the food was okay (but not for the price, yikes). The service was stiff, and didn't feel very friendly. I definitely think there are far better places to eat breakfast in Ashland.

Had a hearty breakfast at MG based on reviews. The service was outstanding: friendly, prompt, and very helpful. The food was generously portioned, but not outstanding, unfortunately. Bacon was overdone, but hash browns and eggs prepared well. Though I enjoyed my meal, I was expecting much better.

I hate to be a negative nelly after all of these wonderful reviews, but my experience just didn't live up to the hype. The service wasn't very good. I was just traveling through and tried to ask my waitress for some advice about what to do in Ashland and she really didn't care and blew me off. I was really disappointed. She also wouldn't recommend any food for me. She was just like "Well it's all good, depends on what you like." Umm..okay, good thing I went on Yelp to see what to eat! I got the raspberry lemon ricoota stuffed french toast. And sorry folks, maybe it was just a bad day, but I didn't really like it. The texture of the riccota was dry and mealy. Overall, not satisfying. The service was not very good, the food was good (not great) but the prices were steep. Hey, isn't this a college town? Why did I just pay $20 for french toast and orange juice??? Uhh..nope, won't be going here again!

I will throw in my hat with another 5 star review. This place is truly does offer an amazing value with excellent food at reasonable prices. The vegetarian tofu scramble with caramelized onions and olive and spinach was amazing. Added a side of homemade pesto for a remarkable set of taste combinations for a breakfast scramble. The blueberry muffin what's fresh and yummy. The polenta was generously proportioned and perfectly prepared. Rapid service at an 11 a.m. arrival time on a Tuesday. And constant refreshing of water and beverages. The Oregon chai tea is sweet and delicious.

I ate breakfast here FOUR DAYS IN A ROW. Loved it. Just loved it. Enjoyed the crab omelet, the hashbrowns, the turkey club, and ohmygod the blueberry muffin. The diner itself is sweet. Service is okay-- come on a lazy morning when you have time to dawdle and enjoy yourself.

LOVE this place! I dream about their brunch, and a weekend away in Ashland would be incomplete without a lovely morning spent here. Long waits, so be prepared to sip on the yummy mellow coffee and enjoy the sunny outdoor deck area. Then tuck into deliciousness! Loved the salmon scramble and the polenta is just SO good.

We came to Ashland for Shakespeare Festival and were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves at this wonderful breakfast place. The environment was quaint and the wait staff was more than kind. The selection was incredible and filled with original breakfast ideas. I had the Ricotta Stuffed French Toast and my dad the Alaskan Crab Omelet. Both of us were awe struck. The meal was absolutely delicious, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone coming to Ashland.

Had a deliciously sweet breakfast treat at Morning Glory. I've never been a huge breakfast person and usually just get a bagel to have with my coffee so this was kind of a special occasion. I got to have some french toast that I haven't had in forever and it really satisfied my sweet tooth. They have a very decent menu with lots of items to choose from so even finicky eaters will be welcome here. Waitress was nice and the prices were fair.

One of my favorite places to go for breakfast. The steak portobello Gorgonzola omelet is amazing, pancakes delicious with the lemon and you can even order an Irish coffee. No better place in town, just wish it were slightly larger because the wait can be very long!

My travels bring me to Medford, usually for a week at a time. But I head to Ashland for breakfast, specifically to Morning Glory. I like to go around 10 a.m. as it seems I'm able to get seated right away at that hour. There's always a lineup, and for good reason. The best breakfasts! Sourdough pancakes! With blueberries! Great coffee, and omelets. Nothing is ordinary here.

I am not a breakfast person, but this place has won me over. We like to eat here when we drive from the Bay Area to Roseburg, and we schedule our entire trip around hitting this restaurant for brunch. Love it!!! This place is so charming we do not mind waiting out in the gardens until a table becomes available. Also, they have books and toys up front to entertain the little ones. It feels like home to be there, even when we are so far away from ours!

My daughter took me here while I was visiting. What an adorable little place. And wonderful food. I had the berry pancakes with lemon butter. OMGoodness!! So yummy! Yum. This diner has very sweet, rich food but it so tasty. The lemon ricotta french toast may have taken some time off my life but it was decadent. I love the menu variety. It's not too far away from downtown Ashland and is the best breakfast place I tried in the area.

Really love this place. I wish I lived closer so that I could come here every weekend! The wait was long. we arrived at 11:45am and waited for more than an hour on 7/5. However, it did not feel too painful as there were a spacious waiting area and plenty of magazines to read. The waiting list remained as long for the whole time we were there. The portion was huge. But we managed to finish most of them. I liked the omelet as it was not as salty as most restaurants. The tri-tip was still very tender. And they gave you very generous portion of other ingredients too. The pancake was soo fluffy. It went perfectly with the marionberry jam. Maybe I just liked the jam. I also enjoyed it with the whole grain waffle. The waffle was crispy and in a nice golden color. At first, I tried to avoid touching the butter. Yet, after the first bite, I couldn't help putting more and more walnut butter on every bite of the waffle! The waitress was surprised to see we managed to finish almost everything. Normally I don't like to take leftover. But the waffle was so good that I even asked for a box to take a small piece left on my plate... It's just THAT GOOD~~~ I'll definitely find an excuse to go back to again~~~

Driving through with an overnight stop in Ashland we yelped & found Morning Glory last Monday morning. Decided to take our chances on a possible long wait. We hit it just right a bit before 10:00 AM. Only a 10 minute wait & had a great breakfast. Lots of people arrived after we did and they did have the long wait. Marion Berry compote came with the waffles & were delish! It was a lot of food & we could not finish it all. We would go back for sure depending on the wait time.

Best breakfast you ever had? I am awfully sorry then. I suppose if one habitually breakfasts on Pop-tarts the 5 star superlatives are in order but.... did you know that a decent omelette is not actually drenched in cooking oil? The portions are grotesquely oversized, did anyone tell them there is an obesity crisis in this country? The coffee is distinctly average in a town of local roasters and boutique coffee shops this is not OK. (Espresso machine was "broken" forever but probably a good thing since it seems no-one can jerk it anyway) Wooden pews not so comfortable but regular tables jammed too close together... parties often really noisy and loud. Service is invariably quick efficient and friendly, but don't drop by if you are in a hurry - there is usually a long wait for seating; and forget the parking out back unless you drive a smart car, you may not get out. Over-rated.

THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAVE EVER HAD. Looking for the local Ashland equivalent of our favorite in Santa Cruz is how we found it--many good reviews on Yelp and mentions of specifically good dishes. And, boy did Morning Glory dish out! Normally I'm just in search of our hometown equivalent breakfast place but this time I'm wishing there was a Morning Glory in our town. The butter was amazing. The raspberry muffin was amazing--I've been thinking about it all week. The side pancakes were amazing. The crab omelet was amazing. I love my mother and my husband dearly but any breakfast I have dined on at their hand... well, it would just be too much to ask. I dream of the day we can dine here again.

I live in Southern CA, and I think it's worth a trip just to have cream of wheat! Delicious, fresh, original flavors - every classic revisited to take it up a notch. Highly recommended.

I'm about to get all superlative on you right now: MORNING GLORY SERVES THE BEST BREAKFASTS I HAVE EVER EATEN. It's true. I've been here three times, each time more exciting and intoxicating than the last, and I seriously consider diving the six hours from San Francisco just for a taste of this restaurant's heavenly food. Morning glory makes for a glorious morning indeed. The savory breakfasts are incredible, with several inventive egg scrambles to choose from. I've had the salmon scramble before (dill sour cream! Yukon gold potatoes!), and it's insane. It made me rethink every egg breakfast I've had since. I'm not much of a sweet breakfast person, but on my last visit to the MG, I tried both the oatmeal pancake and the lemon poppyseed waffle. I'M A BELIEVER. And I can't wait to go back.

We were driving from Sacramento to Portland which is about a 9 hour drive total. We were starving by the time we made it to Ashland, so we started Yelping brunch places and this place was at the top of the list. We arrived at peak time (11am-ish) and only waited about 10 minutes. The host was adorable and was really busting his balls cleaning tables, running credit cards and helping customers. We each ordered an omelet, and holy hell, it was the biggest omelet I've ever seen!! I could only finish about 1/3 of it, including potatoes and muffin. I would recommend the half order for sure, so you have enough room to try the pancakes, which I wish we had ordered at least one! Also, super adorable house.

A cute breakfast spot. If you're in the mood for big portions, heavy food, and indulgence, head to Morning Glory. Food was definitely tasty...but I had food coma after wards. My husband got the lemon ricotta french toast and could only eat half of it. Get the half order because each toast comes with 2 slices of bread glued together with the ricotta filling and they give you two of those. It's pretty heavy. The marionberry over the french toast was quite delicious. I got the vegetarian hash and I'm SO GLAD I did. The hollandaise sauce was very yummy, one that I've never tried before. I would love to get a recipe of the sauce. It was garlicky and had tons of flavor. The tofu and potato mixture was great, as were the two poached eggs I poked at to let the yolk ooze out. I got the hash with more hash--hash browns. They were excellent. To add to this caloric meal (because I like to finish my plate and eat the whole thing, including the muffin that came with the hash), I drank a latte which was just really nice. There are small touches that make this place a great breakfast spot, but make sure you're ready for all the fattiness.

Phenomenal. This place stands out in a town of good restaurants. The portions are large, and they are tasty. The menu is varied and well executed. It gets crowded, but I've never waited more than say 15 minutes. A lot of detail has been paid attention to not only in the food but in the room itself. Very well done!

Wow what a great find! You will leave full and happy. I have tried the bacon, carmelized onion and cheese omlet, the chicken sausage, mushroom and cheese omlet and the oatmeal pancakes. All of them were top notch! You may have to wait a touch for a table but believe me it is worth it!

Eat anything on this menu! We have never had a bad meal here, ever. After eating at every breakfast place in Ashland we have found our favorite. Good staff, friendly, but the amount of business they do slows down the service a bit. Still, it's worth the wait. Try parking down the street, though. I think they have a total of 8 spaces to park, not a lot for a busy place like this. They mix decent cocktails, too. My favorite food here is their Stuffed French toast. MMMMMMMM! Do it!

yes, it's super touristy, but even the locals go there still! And the service is so sweet, it's worth any wait, whether you sit indoors or out.

Came here based on the Yelp recommendations and walked away a happy man. First: Don't even bother with their "parking lot" which is located behind the place. Just park next door in the motel parking lot. You will thank me if you drive anything bigger than a clown car. Okay, we got there just after 11am which is when lunch starts, so yay for that, and the place was pretty busy. We waited about 20-30 minutes which wasn't bad given the seating area outside we could use to wait. After being seated our drink orders were taken pronto and then we had time to peruse the menu. We forgot to look at the specials on the board at the entrance, but the server was more than happy to repeat them and glad we had him do it as my wife ordered the omelet of the day which ended up being very good. I ended up ordering off the lunch menu and got the crab melt sandwich. Arriving open faced was unexpected, but ended up being very smart because the amount of crab and other goodies they give you would be impossible to eat as a true sandwich. It came with a variety of options for sides and I went with the french fries which were muy excellente!! Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Ashland. It appears to stay busy so be prepared for a short wait, but the service is attentive and everything we ordered was very good.

Best breakfast I have had in Ashland. I had a delicious scramble with pesto and veggies and topped it off with a side of light fluffy pancakes. The lemon butter was superb. The only negative was the waitress was clearly not that friendly. My daughter has some food allergies, so when I asked her a few questions about substitutions and changing a few things, she was not accommodating at all. Oh well. I will chalk that up to her bad day or whatever. She still served the food on time and it was very tasty!! I will definitely be stopping here again whenever I am in town.

Morning Glory is best for breakfast, but they also serve a good lunch. They use organic ingredients when they're available, and the overall quality is high. Be warned: portions are large, especially some of the breakfast items like the wonderful French toast, so consider sharing. They close at 2 PM sharp. The ambience is pleasant and a little funky without being seedy, and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. Sometimes dishes are slow to appear when they are busy; everything appears to be made from scratch. There's an outside garden for warmer weather, but I've never seen people being served out there. The most popular time is Sunday mornings, and I don't think they take reservations. So if you go then, either get there early or be prepared to wait.

Some of the best breakfast I've ever had. Sean had the Apple wood smoked bacon and caramelized onion omelet. Absolutely amazing! I had the lemon ricotta stuffed french toast, so yummy. Service was excellent. Very casual, laid-back collegiate atmosphere. We will be returning again and again and again.

With all the 5 star reviews and even a raving review of this place from Toni, I expected a bit more. We had a bit of a wait, and once seated were given menus and water. I asked the waitress about the coffee-mainly if it was strong. She told me to try it-I did. It was hot brown water, but she never came back to ask how I liked it, if I wanted a different drink or if I wanted a refill. Minus 1 star for the disappointing coffee/service. The man and I each had an omelete. Mine had bacon and carmelized onion, his had tomatoes, basil and mozzerella. He had cheesy polenta which I liked better then he did and I don't like polenta. I had the hashbrowns. Both were huge amounts of food and both cost $11.00. The daughter who is not a big breakfast eater had a lamb burger. She enjoyed it but we both thought the tomato chutney was too sweet and could be better balanced had the burger had goat cheese or feta. This is the type of breakfast place I typically like. Nice and quaint with good quality food. The man does not like this type of place...he deems it too hippy dippy. Next time I come through Ashland, I will leave him in the motel and will have my own breakfast experience here, with the knowledge to order tea and leave the coffee to my own making.

We were so disappointed in this breakfast. The service was awful and the food was mediocre. We arrived and the surly waitress told us we could sit anywhere we liked, as if it was a burden. Before we even sat down, she asked us if we wanted anything to drink, but we hadn't even opened our menus. We then proceeded to wait 15 minutes before anyone came back to our table, even though our table was smack dab in the middle of the restaurant, and waitresses were walking by us constantly. When our waitress finally came, she took our order, but we drinks (just tea and coffee) didn't come back for five minutes, followed closely by our food. My husband's biscuits and gravy were the saddest biscuits and gravy I've ever seen. The biscuits were flat and wide, like a stale pancake, and the gravy was tasteless. It came with a side of hot house tomatoes that were freezing cold and underripe. You could get better at Denny's or at home. My pesto/chard/goat cheese scramble was tasty, but not enough to redeem the experience. Our waitress never came back except to drop off our check. The kitchen looked dirty and lots of food that should have been refrigerated was not. This was such a depressing experience with horrible staff and mediocre food. I would not go back.

I really enjoyed my crab omelet this past Saturday morning. Even though I made some adjustments-no dairy-it was delicious! I LOVED my homemade pumpkin muffin that came with my breakfast. We had to sit at the bar since it was packed at 11am on Saturday. There was about a 30 minutes wait-so go a little early if you are starving and do not want to wait. The service was friendly and attentive. I love any restaurant that is homenade, organic and considers all diet concerns!

We stayed practically next door at the Flagship Inn and walked over to try breakfast after reading all the Yelps. We were up early anyway so we decided to head over and wait for it to open on a Saturday morning. We were greeted by at least 4 other groups of people waiting as well! As soon as 8am hit, the doors opened and everyone shuffled in the claim a table. The wait staff was ON IT and were already bustling around to set down waters and ask folks if they wanted coffee. Now, I live in this alternate universe where I am convinced a cup of coffee should never cost more than around a buck or so and I was a little annoyed when I saw that coffee here cost $3, but I'm an addict so it could have said coffee cost $14 a cup and I would have caved. But damn, this coffee was ridiculously delicious. Not to mention our server kept my cup full (and I was chugging that stuff down faster than they could pour it). The food was amazing and enormous. We stopped here again on our way back down and split a scramble and it was MORE than enough. We had to do the ricotta lemon french toast the first time and were not disappointed - it was crazy fluffy! And the syrup they bring out is not to be ignored. The OJ was also top notch. I only wish this lovely gem would make it's way back down to nor cal, but in the meantime we will dream of the glorious coffee and mouth watering french toast.

MG really made my morning glorious. Walking in, we had to wait for a few minutes, but the hostess was ready to supply us with bright patterned mugs for their delicious coffee while we waited. There is also a waiting area outside that has a swinging chair! I had the bacon waffle with walnut butter, blackberry compote, and real maple syrup. The fare was perfectly crispy and moist. If you go with other people, I recommend ordering a host of different items from the menu and sampling everything. I also had the brown sugar glaze grapefruit, and it was a surprise to discover the yumminess of warm grapefruit! I am going to start making those at home. However, beware of sitting outside because the leaf blowers from the business next door blew dust all over our table and left a bad taste in our mouths.

An update: The buttermilk fried chicken is still there, and on the salad, with green goddess dressing and chunks of avocado, it's still a heart attack on a plate. The sandwich, however, has been changed to a regular ciabatta bun with shredded lettuce, tomato, and a thinner (and probably less caloric) dressing. Apparently the biscuit was not a sturdy enough enclosure for the rest of it. I'm told that it can still be ordered in the prior style, as they have all the bits available and still remember how to make it. I'd do that, same as I order the lamb burger old-style, with the tomato chutney (and nothing else!). They're still my favorite restaurant breakfast in town.

Six. Stars. If possible. How did I get my new husband to forgo the hotel continental breakfast for something far more interesting? I told him that I'd take him to the best breakfast place in Oregon. Then I started getting nervous. Usually I'm pretty trustworthy about food. Would Morning Glory come through for me? It had been years since I frequented here, although I've kept up with the reviews. There was no disappointment. If anything can suck him in, it's food infused with bacon (which is also a food, I recognize, but used as a condiment, an additive, a shimmering shining eye-candy, it has a whole other life). So of course he ordered the bacon waffle with walnut butter. I salivated over multiple dishes and finally narrowed it down to the cranberry hazelnut french toast with lemon something butter. It was amazing. I carried it with me all day. No really, I did. In between wine glasses I slipped out a slice of French toast and savored it. Some little details: I asked for cream for my Earl Grey and they gave me real cream, not half and half which has a totally different flavor. During the week, there is hardly a wait. They serve morning cocktails. If this place were in Portland, it would be mauled. My new husband spent the rest of the day looking for an antique book of Basho haiku (I am one who spends his breakfast gazing at morning glories).

The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. The line can be long, but the setup outside is cute so we didn't mind waiting. My bf had the rock shrimp cakes with poached eggs which I thought were just okay. It was a little bland for my taste. I had the Alaskan crab melt which I thought was better and quite tasty.

  • Kirsten N.

Okay, but I wouldn't wait in line (again). All I can say is that the toast was delicious and the hash browns, though they tasted primarily of oil, look picture perfect. The egg dishes lacked seasoning and were simply ok. The room and the staff were nice, but that's not enough to recommend a breakfast joint, especially one that has long lines.

It seems a bit silly to review such a highly rated place but I just had to. Wonderful. Scrumptious. Generous. Delightful. I travel from Seaside, Oregon to California a few times a year. I always plan my trip around stopping here for breakfast. I had the Ricotta Stuffed French Toast last week. Wowzah. I really have no other way to describe them. And the Lemon Butter to put on top of the pancakes? SO over-the-top delicious.

Their breakfast was absolutely wonderful! Everything was excellent and we walked away totally stuffed and smiling. We were driving through Ashland and found this restaurant on yelp. I just wish we had this kind of restaurant in our area. Thank you Morning Glory for adding a great memory to our trip through Oregon. We will stop by again the next time we are in Ashland. Thank YOU!

This is my favorite type of place. The food was even better than I expected. I'm not much of a French toast fan, but nothing compares to the lemon ricotta filled Fr. Toast here. I loved the applewood bacon and carmelized onion omelet. The lemon butter waffle had just the right amount, so that you didn't even need syrup. The best things are the homemade marionberry muffin, real maple syrup, marionberry compote and you can order 1/2 orders. No I didn't have this on only one visit.

Super cute place :) The portions were huge!! The staff was great and friendly, the food was very yummy! We had the oatmeal, pecan waffles and eggs with a side of pancakes. The best breakfast ever. nice and cozy cottage in Oregon, friendly staffs, Delicious meals, little garden with morning glory in front of the entrance. The perfect combo for the brunch on weekend. It couldn't be better than that. - lemon ricotta stuffed french toast with raspberry syrup - perfect. - artichoke and crab omelet - chunks of crab! Omelet was accompanied with buttermilk pancakes. It's bomb! They must put something crunchy in the pancakes. Everything was Amazingly tasty. I really wanna go back to try their another menu.. Even it's sooo far away from SoCal... BUT I will.

We have eaten here on each of our visits to Ashland, Oregon, otherwise known as paradise, but I digress. Morning Glory is fabulous. What a massive and spectacular menu. We always coordinate what we order so we can munch off each other's plates and try everything. On this visit, I had the caramelized onions and bacon omelet which was spectacular -- yummy bacon and sweet perfectly caramelized onions. We had two plates of the cherry cheesecake stuffed french toast, which was amazing. The entire table shared a bowl of Moroccan oatmeal -- a nutty, sweet, fantastic, huge bowl of goodness. Also typically fabulous was the lemon ricotta french toast and the tip steak omelette. As always, we left with several stuffed to-go containers, a complete inability to even think about any other food for at least six hours, and a great time.

One of the best breakfast places that I have ever been to... Everything is fresh and flavorful. The portions are generous and the staff is very friendly. I recommend the applewood smoked bacon omelet with caramelized onions and fontina cheese. The crispy polenta as a side dish is also terrific. If you prefer something sweeter, the buttermilk pancakes with lemon butter or the lemon ricotta stuffed French toast with raspberry syrup are also excellent choices! One caution, after you eat here, you will not want to eat for a while... :)

This restaurant is ridiculously adorable! I found it on Yelp (of course) and was convinced by all the great reviews to fit it into my incredibly tight schedule in Ashland. I certainly don't regret making time for this quaint little place with delicious eats! The lilac colored house looks just like a morning glory flower and is surrounded by darling gardens and a sweet little play set. The mismatched decor is sort of soothing, from a variety of different chairs, to a painted mural of waves and vines, to our mosaic table, the only one like it in the place. The best thing I ate was the cheesy polenta (I tried to recreate it at home, but no luck) but my vegetarian friend really enjoyed her huge tofu scramble and ate the second half for lunch. Haha. I found a random model online, if you want to check out the building: tinyurl.com/8h4wg3

I came here on a weekend trip to Southern Oregon and I had their lemon ricotta stuffed French toast with raspberry topping. OMG...they were like two giant French toast sandwiches with a topping of fresh sweet love! This place is amazing and it's located in the heart of Ashland. The staff is friendly an this place is very packed on weekends. This is the perfect place to come with friends and family and just a joy to be around happy family and staff! A definite must stop for anyone visiting Southern Oregon. Can't wait to come back and try other selections on their breakfast menu.

This is my favorite place to have breakfast in town. If you're going on a weekend be prepared to wait. All of the food is cooked to perfection in my opinion. Great daily specials and amazing combinations of scrambles and omlettes. Quality ingredients, that are not used sparingly. Large portions mean more than enough food. Some delish gourmet Vegetarian and even vegan options here. I take all of my out of town guests here.

I think enough people have already said all the great things about Morning Glory, but I'll add my two cents nonetheless. The menu, although being a little pricey for breakfast, offers an interesting wide variety of dishes. I split the Oatmeal pancakes ($10.50) and the Cranberry Hazelnut French Toast ($10.00) with someone else in my group, and we both thought that the portions were large enough that we could have split one dish and been satisfied. They gave 3 pancakes w/ walnut butter and 8 pieces of french toast w/ lemon butter. We were also given a side of warm syrup and a lovely dish of fresh marionberry jam. The pancakes were moist, filling, and delicious. I swear the flavor reminded me of a soft-baked pretzel (I mean that in a tasty way of course!) The french toast had a great, sweet, and subtly nutty taste. The only downside was that I found the bread to be a little tough; not as soft on my chops as the tender pancakes. Both the walnut and lemon butters were dangerously good and they, as well the marionberry jam, paired nicely in the dishes. Someone else in my group ordered one of the daily specials, a Chorizo & Corn Hash w/ eggs and a Chipotle Hollandaise ($12.50) and someone else ordered the eggs any style ($8.50). The hash was spiced well and very tasty. There were only two eggs in the eggs any style dish, which I thought was kind of skimpy, but the order came with a choice of hashbrowns, white cheddar polenta, pancakes, tomatoes, and a toast or muffin. She tried the polenta, which was just ok but sort of bland. The marionberry muffin she got was, however, warm and scrumptious. Lastly, what made this a 5-star experience was the wonderful service. Our meals came out fresh, warm, and in a decent amount of time. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and always filling our water and coffee glasses despite it being a full and busy restaurant. Although it is the priciest breakfast joint I've been to so far, it offers, perhaps, the best and most gut-busting food I've ever eaten so early in the morning!

you know what scares me? when a place has 150 reviews and the average is 4 and a half stars. either the people who ate here were poisoned and held hostage forcing them to write a good review or it has to be a good place. thank god Jen has been here and she is someone i trust. so let me tell you, this place is that good. warm house made marionberry muffins to start. yeah just stop here right? no the pancakes were delicious also but the real star is the butter they had with orange zest in it, one word amazing. so the food is good but you know what else is better, the service here. it's a great little small spot with the warm homely feel from the staff here. if you're in the area, go here.

So popular as a breakfast temple some forget Morning Glory also serves up truly stellar lunch: the crab melt on sourdough needs to go on your bucket list, the beet salad (with goat cheese and caramelized walnuts - yum!) is just lovely, and the reuben - I'm told by dining companions - is spot on. But back to breakfast: comfy booths and bright surroundings make this a locals favourite year round. Ruby's all about the ricotta-stuffed french toast (children's menu be damned, apparently), while I vacillate between more pedestrian offerings (even a simple bowl of oatmeal is amazingly good), and adventurous experimentation, depending on how much sleep I got the night before: rock shrimp cakes with poached eggs and smoked tomatoe chutney, while off the charts flavour-wise, should not be attempted by those only half awake. Service at MG is friendly, gentle and unobtrusive - if you're buried in your newspaper or book you'll barely know they're there ... :-)

One the best breakfasts I've had. Included house-smoked bacon... sooo good! Fast service, I was lucky to get in between waves of customers that started forming a line ... at 10am on a weekday... I can see why they line up though, I'll be back my next trip to dreamy Ashland.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for breakfast ,during our stop in Ashland, after seeing that it had the best reviews for breakfast in the area. I don't think you can always get the most accurate impression from these reviews but when we pulled up the line out the door proved that this time, they were right. I ordered a smoked salmon scramble, my boyfriend ordered a crab omelet and we shared lemon ricotta stuffed french toast topped with raspberry sauce. It was fantastic. Both of our meals were served with fresh marionberry muffins which I couldn't help but devour and our egg dishes were served with delicious crisp triangles of polenta. If I lived nearby Id be obese. YUM!!!!!

In preparation for judging the true worth of the food at Morning Glory, I actually went to La Note in Berkeley, CA, which is the highest rated brunch place in the Berkeley area according to Yelp. My verdict is: La Note should be ashamed of itself for its food and service when compared to that of Morning Glory! Correctly warned by the various Yelp reviews about portion sizes at Morning Glory, I ordered something small because I was just eating by myself. I order two eggs over-medium and instead of the normal fare of hash browns, etc, they let you choose buttermilk pancakes (2) as a side at no extra charge. Score!! Their pancakes were so fluffy, soft, and chewy all at the same!! The marionberry syrup that they gave me (with whole marionberries floating in it) was also a great departure from the regular high-fructose corn syrup that is normally served with pancakes (which they also provided). Also, the guys sitting next to me at the bar could not stop raving about how good their oatmeal was. I guess I must try that the next I am in Ashland!

Morning Glory IS the greatest breakfast joint I've ever been to and is perhaps the greatest breakfast joint in the entire Pacific NW? Really?! Most definitely!! I used to live in Ashland where Morning Glory became our next-morning-recovery-place after long nights on the town with friends. Giant mugs of coffee and Paul Bunyan sized omelets and pancakes were just the thing we needed to get us moving on a lazy Sunday morning. These days the late evenings have turned into early mornings for my family of four and family-friendly Morning Glory is now our early-morning-time-to-get-on-the-road place on our Ashland stop-overs while tripping up and down the I-5 corridor. We've actually stayed the night in Ashland just so that we can breakfast at Morning Glory. Trust me... it IS that good! (A quick note to be prepared for a wait during prime hours.)

This breakfast/lunch restaurant is really cute. It is a good place to have a good meal and chat with friends. If you're young and don't have a giant appetite, share your meal, as the food servings are big and the cost is high. I won't complain about the prices as everything in Ashland is really expensive, and they use some organic/local foods, which is important. At a restaurant, I always try to order baked goods made in-house. I'm glad I did, because the muffin I had was amazing! My friend and I ordered completely different types of meals (he had meat, eggs, and potatoes, I had pancakes, tofu, and fruit) and everything tasted great. The service wasn't engaging, but the job got done.

This is a destination spot for sure. I would definitely go out of my way to eat here. The owner/chef does most (all?) the cooking . Patricia Groth worked under Bradley Ogden and was the chef at a great Berkeley restaurant. I strongly recommend ordering far "off the path" dishes instead of your basic eggs and bacon. You can't really groove on a deep culinary level like you can with say, lemon ricotta french toast w/ raspberry sizzurp. My husband got the swiss chard/pesto/goat cheese scramble with polenta and man..slicing into that triangle with your fork and then dragging it into the eggs was divine. Naturally we needed to order a side of bacon and the meal was perfectly well rounded..I won't ever forget this place, I like want to go back there tomorrow.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Ashland. Oftentimes I will make up excuses to take the trip over from Klamath Falls just to eat here on Sunday mornings. Their menu is great with plenty to choose from. Some of my favorites are the walnut, caramelized onion and fontina cheese omelet OR the smoked applewood, caramelized onion and guda cheese omelet. It was only after trying their biscuits and gravy, upon our last trip over to Ashland, that I now feel compelled to review this place. It was up there with my top B&G experiences; not to heavy, savory, filling, meaty, just salty enough, YUMMY! The place is cozy, artsy and funky, like many joints in town. They have killer mimosas and bloody maries, great vegetarian and conventional plates too. Their polenta, as an alternative for potatoes with your breakfast, is not only genius but out-of-this-world delicious. Great pancakes and french toast as well. The only down is that the place is SO popular you often wait a half an hour or more just to be seated but it is worth it obviously, as I keep going back, and likely the best breakfast joint in town.

Morning Glory is always a place you can count on for 1) Great Service....they are always busy and unless you are within mins of it opening you can count on a wait. 2) Fantastic food. You get what you pay for so if your expecting mcdonalds prices then go to mc's. 3) Always consistant on everything. Their portions are HUGE and unless you can eat a platter of food then consider sharing a plate! Smoked Salmon Scramble, Rock Shrimp Cakes, Ricotta Stuffed French Toast, Blueberry Pancakes with lemon butter. Just to list a few of our favorites. The lunches are great as well and they have wonderful fresh salads. We are locals (Medford) and this is the best spot in the Rogue Valley for breakfast. Almost don't want to leave this review, the place is busy enough. However that would be selfish! When I travel I look to the locals for recommendations. So there you have it. A tip from a local! Parking is always a problem. Tiny parking lot in the back. Better off to park around the corner on the side street.

As we were walking towards the restaurant on a Sunday morning, we noticed a very large crowd waiting outside. After breakfast, we could see why! I ordered the smoked bacon and caramelized onion omelette and my wife ordered the ricotta lemon stuffed French toast. Holy Cow! There was enough food to serve four! Excellent meal and great service!

Morning Glory has always been a weekend treat or mid-week break for me and my friends. They are only open for breakfast and lunch (until about 3:00pm) and I have only tried the lunch menu once (!) out of all the times I have eaten at Morning Glory. If you are willing to withstand a long seating wait and possible parking problems (FYI. Just heard they expanded into the motel parking next door), you will be rewarded when you look over the menu. I tend to shy away from sweet things for breakfast items, but that is not to say the sweet stuff at Morning Glory doesn't shine: Sourdough Blueberry Pancakes with Lemon Butter! The daily specials are usually okay, but it is the signature items that make Morning Glory a heart warming favorite of mine: Salmon/Yukon Potato Scramble, Goat Cheese/Pesto/Chard Scramble, or Chorizo Scramble (all served with orange slice and choice of hash browns, tomatoes, or polenta). Lattes and Mimosas get a passing grade, but their drip coffee cups are large and bottomless. I don't think large groups (meaning more than 5) are handled very well, but this is the place to be for weekend brunch.

What an awesome gem located just off the beaten path in Ashland. Stopped in for breakfast after reviewing on yelp and was not disappointed at all! The wait was out the door but the wait staff was smart enough to set customers up with coffee and to wait outside on the beautiful patio. While the ambience is a little tight and cozy, it worked for the space provided. The food was exceptional - I had a bacon & carmelized onion omlete while my wife tried the biscuits and grazy. Both were excellent, and the marionberry muffin instead of toast is a must.

No question. This is the best breakfast place in Ashland, and probably the world. It's certainly Alan's and my favorite. We arrived about 10:00 and found a space in their parking lot, an amazing feat in and of itself, because that lot is a total cluster... Three cars and a motorcycle left as we drove in. Being Sunday morning the restaurant was busy and there was a wait. Nina and Larry arrived after us and after waiting a while decided to go elsewhere. Alan and I decided to stay and being a party of two we were seated almost immediately. Service was terrific. The staff works as a team and everything gets done w/o a sense of being harried. We were asked by three people whether our drink order had been taken. I ordered English Breakfast tea and asked for a big coffee-type cup rather than a dainty tea cup. Alan ordered a latte. I have been eating here pretty much since the place opened but had never processed that you could get half orders of omelets and scrambles. I was going back and forth between the red crab and artichoke omelet and the pesto chard and goat cheese scramble. I asked our waiter which was smaller and he indicated that they could make a half order, adding that it was only $2 less. No problem. I ordered the red crab and artichoke w/ cheesy polenta and a blueberry muffin. Alan ordered the shrimp, bacon and pepper jack omelet, substituting cheddar for pepper jack. He ordered hashbrowns and toast. My muffin was brought first. It was a reasonable size, not huge, and hot from the oven. My tea was brought w/ a small coffee mug so I asked our waiter for a big one and he brought me the perfect one. Ten or 15 minutes later he walked by and offered to refill my teapot w/ water. Great service. The omelet arrived and it was exquisite. Even better, it was just the right size. The two triangles of polenta could have been three, but that's just me being greedy. There was a completely adequate amount of food. By contrast, Alan's breakfast was enormous, not just the omelet, but the giant portion of hashbrowns. It was excellent, but he couldn't finish it. From now on I will order half portions and I will be well fed and feel virtuous. The information about half orders is printed on the menu in small print at the bottom, but I think most folks miss it as I did. Alan thinks they are now open on Mondays, which they didn't used to be. I can hardly wait until next year.

Get there early as we came in a few minutes after they opened and were seated at a very teeny table for two in the major traffic area. Our hostess seated us promptly. The waitress was nice and took our order fairly quick for how busy they were. I had the Lemon Ricotta Stuffed French Toast with Raspberry Syrup. It was burnt on the bottom, but the waitress kindly removed it from our bill. The biscuit and MB jam was very tasty! Cute place and had it not been misty out, we would have sat outside on the adorable patio. I would give it another try if we are back on town, as stuff happens and they made good on things without being asked. :)

Pecan crusted pork chop, delicious. Ham, eggs, tomato croissant, good. Sourdough and homemade jam...OUTSTANDING! Staff very friendly. Place was crazy busy, but didn't have to wait too long

Go there early, unless you enjoy sitting/standing around waiting for a table. Whatever you decide, you will enjoy anything here. We make an annual visit to Ashland, this is the place for Breakfast. Portions and price are good, service is prompt and hip.

Food was creative and delicious. Biggest waffle I have ever seen. Scrambled eggs with arugula pesto, fresh shrooms, ham were perfectly cooked--not dry. Blueberry muffins right out of the oven. Venue was bright, cheerful, and funky 60's... Saw some real hippies. :-)

Morning Glory is my favorite place to eat out in Ashland! I've lived here for two years and have had breakfast at every restaurant, this is the place to go! The wait is not as long as some make it out to be, no more than 30 min, which is doable to how amazing the food is. My favorite is the blueberry pancakes with lemon curd on top with their marrionberry spread. So good!!!!

I love breakfast food, but this place has the best I've ever eaten. My favorite is the egg scramble with white cheddar and black forest ham. It comes with your choice of sides, and I ALWAYS choose the pancakes because the lemon butter is to die for. They have a lot of options, but I get to go here so rarely that I have to get the same thing every time. There is usually quite a wait to be seated, so come here with lots of time. Parking can also be a pain. There is a tiny lot behind the restaurant, but there is parking next door. This is the best food in Ashland!

HOLY MOLY! THIS PLACE IS APPROPRIATELY NAMED!!!! My husband and I did NOT know we were in for the BEST breakfast ever. Incredibly kitchy atmosphere and a fireplace to keep you warm. Chris had the special... country fried steak.... and if i wasn't trying to watch what i ate, i WOULD've gotten the apple struedel french toast with walnut butter and fresh apples.... also a special. OHHHHH!!!! Chris also had this incredible homemade fresh squeezed raspberry lemonade. It was thick with natural juices and a knock your socks off lemon tang! TRY IT! I got an open-faced bagel with brie, pesto, & eggs... oh, and a side order of CRISPY hashbrowns.... DELISH! Everything was SO fresh and the attention to detail is absolutely incredible... especially since the entire meal cost us around $30. THAT is IT! Portions were huge, and the wait staff attentive and kind. This place has that home town feel... now we wish we lived in Ashland... just so we could go here and have breakfast. And if someone could... please try the lemon ricotta french toast with fresh raspberry syrup, cause MAMA wants to LIVE through YOU! It exceeded every expectation.... GO!!!!!!

This place is legit! Everything about this place is good. I like the homey feel of the restaurant. The woman that served us was very nice. Probably the best place to eat breakfast while on a roadtrip. It kinda sucks that they open a little later than others, but it's worth it. Good thing my parents and I got there a couple minutes early because it was filled up after a couple of minutes past 8. Will go there again if given another chance! The only con about this place is it's tiny and there's barely any parking space!

I've been all about giving restaurants second chances lately, and I didn't regret visiting Morning Glory for a second time. I would give the place five stars, but the wait is rough. We volunteered to sit at the counter, so that cut what would have been an hour and a half wait down to half an hour. Patience is not my strong suit, especially when I haven't had my coffee and I can see all sorts of tasty dishes outside. As for the food, it all depends on what you order. Some are clear hits, while others aren't all that spectacular. For example, I ordered the gorgonzola omelet with caramelized onions. Amazing! My only criticism is that the portion size was insanely huge. On the other hand, my fiance ordered a rather unremarkable (and kind of flattened) Belgian waffle. We will be back, but with Morning Glory, a visit involves some strategy. I guess we'll come back on a weekday during the slow months in order to avoid the killer wait.

My daughter and I were in town for her orientation at SOU. I asked a few people where to go for breakfast and they all said Morning Glory! We each had the bisquits with sausage gravy and hashbrowns. Huge portions, the waitress who was awesome then informed us they do offer 1/2 portions. The inside of the restaraunt makes you feel like you are in someone's home, the staff was very friendly, the service was excellent concidering how busy they were (The line was out the door) I can't wait to go back in September!

The food here is, in a phrase, to die for. My brother recommended the place, but also recommended we were there as soon as it opened at 8am. Knowing this routine, we showed up at 9am...and waited 45 minutes. My husband got the special: Nutella cheesecake French toast with marionberries. I opted for the quite yummy Tandoori tofu with cherry conserve. My parents got the famous lemon ricotta French toast and the King Crab omelet. My sister-in-law? the gorgonzola omelet. Everything was super tasty, if a bit pricy for breakfast (for which I'm downgrading my rating). The servers were super efficient, although we had to wait a bit for the food to come out. All-in-all, a fun treat!

After reading reviews here on yelp, I knew this was a must try. We were not disappointed. We got there at 9 found a parking in their lot and was seated within two minutes of us walking in. I loved the homey, cozy feeling and I give them kudos for being kid friendly. They had trains, books, blocks etc. Loved the honey lemon butter and the panackes, I was not overly impressed with the chorizo omelete I ordered, but my husband loved his and everything else was good. Service was GREAT. Our waiter was fast and helpful, even providing us with some directions for our road trip home. Portions are huge. 2.00 charge for split plates

Visited Morning Glory Friday afternoon this week while in town with the fam. My nephew loved the sparkling blackberry juice, my sister loved the raspberry lemonade, and I couldn't have enjoyed my mocha any more- it was exactly what I needed after an early flight on a full plane. Morning Glory is in kind of a strange spot on a main drag in Ashland- between two motels and across the street from SOU. Despite those drawbacks, it is really cute. I love restaurants in houses, and this one had nice murals and two different sitting areas. We sat inside. The place was full upon arrival at 1 pm, but our group of 5 was seated within 5-10 minutes. Most tables are for 2-4, so bear that in mind if you go. You can also sit at the counter. Seating is fairly tight, but that really isn't bad since the atmosphere here is unhurried and friendly; a simple excuse me will get you through. Our party ordered the chorizo scramble with a marionberry muffin and blueberry pancakes ($1 extra charge to substitute blueberry for regular- a deal, do it!), the basic eggs, bacon, and pancakes, and the draper valley farm chicken sandwich with pepperjack and chipotle mayo, which came with fries or salad- we got salad. All meals were great- quality local ingredients, cooked correctly, excellent taste. Chicken sandwich was great, as was the chorizo scramble, but strangely neither was all that spicy, kind of a bummer. Absolutely loved the blueberry pancakes... best pancakes I think I've ever had! Lemon butter was amazing, and the pancakes weren't super thick bisquick style, but thinner and really tasty. 5 stars for the pancakes alone. Service was friendly and the food arrived in a reasonable amount of time given how full the restaurant was. Bill came to $50, $60 with tip. My nephew loved the crayons and coloring page he was given, that was much appreciated. Definitely not cheap for breakfast/ lunch, but I expected to pay more given the location and the quality of the ingredients so that's okay. We ended up with two to go boxes full of food as well so it would be easy to share one meal here. Final verdict is that this is for sure a fun celebration spot to visit with a small group!

Absolutely no comparison to anything out there... This is the place to go for a GLORIOUS breakfast. Service is great, food is even better. I don't think I can complain about this place in anyway at all I think. But that may have something to do with the fact that I was terribly hungry when I got to the table after a 25 minute wait. But that just shows you how much in demand this place is during the weekends especially. Try the "Giant Cup of Coffee", it really is gigantic. I had the Oatmeal Pancakes with Walnut butter and syrup. Could you really ask for more decadence than that? It was rich, syrupy and just wonderful all around. If I'm ever in Ashland again I will never miss a breakfast here.

Big portions, tasteless, big prices ($12 for scrambled eggs). My son, who is a big eater and a foodie, said "Meh--there's enough, it just doesn't taste like anything." Warm raspberry muffins were nice but could have used some sugar. So Ioaded them up with the marionberry jam on the table. Yum. Service nonexistent once you had your food; couldn't get water or coffee refills, and they were not busy. Not a lot of choices in Ashland but might find a McDonald's next time.

Five things to know before going: 1. Well worth the long wait - but plan for it. 2. Parking is at a premium so park on one of the neighboring streets and walk in. 3. They DO have wine/beer/hardstuff now. 4. They are great for lunch as well! 5. The mimosas are HUGE!

I was visiting my Aunt & Uncle and this place was so packed and the University of OR graduation had just finished, but I heard this restaurant is always crazy. Its a very cute OLD house turned into a very charming breakfast spot. The had a wonderful omelet with crunchy polenta versus hash browns. My breakfast was absolutely amazing. They also make home made blueberry muffins which they service hot. I went for my favorite sourdough toast as I needed to try the wonderful jam they served. next time I visit Ashland, Morning Glory will be the one constant.

  • Ken N.

My expectations were high. Rarely do you see 5 stars. But Morning Glory exceeded my expectations. The jam was awesome as was the scramble and the coffee. The atmospher was great as was the service. I'll be back next time i'm in Ashland.

One of, if not the best breakfasts we have ever had! Well worth the wait. It was nice to sit outside on the "waiting decks" and enjoy the shade or sun and have a chat before breakfast. Once we were seated, the service was fast and friendly. We thought our server Jan was great, she was honest and not afraid to tell us that the tomatoes, although fresh and local, were not looking great. We ordered the orange mimosas (huge and delicious), the lemon ricotta stuffed French toast and the Tri- tip, spinach and mushroom omlette with grilled polenta. We will definitely be coming back when we are in Ashland, and recommending Morning Glory to friends and family.

Omg I freakin love this place! I ordered the crab omelette, hashbrowns, coffee & an orange mimosa - they have 4 flavors of mimosa to choose from. We've been traveling through from Cali to Portland, staying a night in Ashland and I researched through my Yelp app to find the best breakfast to get us back on the road. Morning Glory stole my heart with its rave reviews and I got excited to see they have a crab, artichoke omelette on the menu. We woke up early, got there 10 min prior to opening and there were about 25 people waiting in line, good sign! The doors open promptly at 8. We follow everyone in, find a cozy table for 2, was greeted right away by our friendly server and ordered our meals. The portions were generous, omelette was delectable, the coffee, robust and the hashbrowns were cooked to perfection. The mimosa was the perfect balance of juice and champagne and I ended up with a happy little buzz by the end of my meal. Good thing my travel companion was willing to drive for a bit. Thank you Morning Glory! I hope to be back soon!

Would I drive eight hours just to eat here for breakfast? Maybe. When driving through I have made it a point to arrive or be in Ashland around breakfast time just to have breakfast here. Everything I've gotten has been great, my only complaint is that there is too much and sometimes too rich (carmelized onions plus fontina cheese with applewood bacon all in one omelette was delicious but after awhile I just had to stop...of course, no one made me order that). I could do with less food, but it is so good that I keep eating....then usually have a many hour drive ahead north or south when I'm done. I love looking at all the fine details and touches in the dining room while I'm waiting as well. All kinds of intricate carvings, artwork and decorations so you are never bored or aggravated because breakfast is taking too long to get there - which is surprisingly fast, given that this place is always packed. I can't recommend anything specifically because I've never had anything bad here, savory or sweet. The marion berry muffin that I had on the side was an unexpected treat and just the right amount of tartness. Can't go wrong here.

Morning Glory is adorable. The waitresses are a bit surly. The food is definitely good, but on this trip, we were mildly disappointed. It is very, very crowded... and this was mid-week. Also, the prices are pretty high for even the fairly standard breakfast fare. We spent over $50 for three people. First time we ate here, it was worth that price. This time, it was fairly lackluster.

Had breakfast there yesterday morning and it was incredible! The Apple Guoda Sausage Spinach Omelette was the ticket! Great big cup of coffee to start things out and the pancakes on the side were awesome as well! The service was great and the waitress that helped me was very attentive! I will definitly go back next time I am up the Ashland way!

Went again on Valentine's Day at open and within 20 minutes the place was jammed. My wife and I shared the Rock Shrimp omelet and I had a side of hash browns. The omelet was fantastic as usual, but once again, the price is becoming a concern. It looked to me like they changed the menu (the actual menu, not the food) and might have raised prices. Sharing some polenta, a side of hash browns, the omelet, and coffee ended up a near $30 experience, one of which I'm less and less inclined to indulge in. Ok, that's not true, I still like the food. But it is going to be more of a luxury if anything, and it really shouldn't have to be. By the way, had to park in the motel next door because the back parking lot was already full at opening. Normally might be fine except that it was raining and cold.

The mimosas are wonderful. WAY too much food. Some things are good, but not consistent. I had a carnitas scramble of some sort, which was completely covered in about an inch high of broth.

Maybe I didn't order the right thing, but I found this place to be good, but not great. I was expecting a LOT after reading all of the other great reviews. I ordered the arugula pesto scramble, and I was completely overwhelmed by the intensity of the flavor. In fact, I could only eat about five bites and then I was done. There was barely any yellow--my eggs were so so green! It looked healthy, I guess. Or moldy. Or healthy. It came with pancakes, which were decent, but what made the pancakes awesome was the lemon butter served with them. That stuff was like crack. I put it all over the pancakes, and then when the pancakes were gone, I put it all over my rye toast (which was kind of gross, but I couldn't let the butter go to waste), and when that was gone, I contemplated asking for a to-go container and a spoon. Yeah. A spoon. For butter. That's how good it was. So next time, if I go, I'm just going to get the pancakes with 50 balls of butter. And after that, a lap band. :)

Easily the best restaurant in Ashland. Portions are huge. The side of hashbrowns are humongous and thick, deliciously crisp on the outside, and soft on in the inside. The side of pancakess are perfect--moist, for lack of a better word, with just the right amount of give. I'd also recommend the Lemon Ricotta Stuffed French Toast with Raspberry Syrup and the Open Faced Bagel Sandwich with Scrambled Eggs, Tomato, Pesto, and Brie Expect a long wait on the weekends, especially during high season.

  • Karolina W.

It is my favorite place to have a special occassion breakfast or just when I want to overindulge (portions are gigantic). Their menu offers tons of choices, and everything I have tried so far tasted great. My favorite dish of all time is a goat cheese, pesto and swiss chard scramble. I order it with the polenta cakes, which BTW are done to perfection - crunchy on the outside and cramy, cheese inside. The place itself is also adorable. It's an old house converted into a bright, colorful restaurant. One thing that always bothers me about MG is how long it takes to be seated. And they don't take reservations.

  • Galen W.

Morning Glory serves up imaginative, tasty, filling breakfasts in a upbeat but low-key setting. They're always "on" and completely reliable. The portions are large. Worse for calorie control is that the food is so good you want to eat everything on your plate, garnish included. My traditional first breakfast each Ashland trip is Morning Glory's Gorgonzola, walnut, and onion omelet. But, even their oatmeal has flavors and texture that you don't expect. In a good way! The service is friendly, and the turnover in staff is very low. So, in addition to treating their customers well, they doing things right behind the counter. It's nice to be greeted with a, "Good to see you again" when returning to see the Ashland plays.

Definitely the best place in Ashland for breakfast. Large potions, delicious, and interesting options. I do miss the tandoori tofu with cranberry chutney that they recently stopped serving, it was fabulous.

Yes. Ditto. Like SHE said. I dream about this place when I'm away.

This place is cute. It is pretty small and I hear that the wait can be pretty long, so we got there when it opened, and the place filled up pretty quickly. The bacon, onion, fontina omelet was amazing! I can't believe how much bacon was in it, it could have used more of the cheese, but it was very good. The mimosa was a good price for as big of a glass I got. I love how all the coffee cups are different and how casual the servers are. Their blueberry muffin that they serve with the meals are SO yummy, especially when it is warm and you melt a little butter on it. My son wanted a light breakfast and got oatmeal, that was the biggest bowl of oatmeal I saw and for the price, it was a steal! My husband ate about half of the oatmeal and loved it. It's a great breakfast place.

First of all... It's worth the wait! I'm a local and for years now Morning Glory holds the crown. There staff does a great job and will get you seated as fast as they can pry the current patrons away from the table. ;) The food: Ummm... try everything! My favorite is the goat cheese, chard scramble add bacon. SO GOOD! I usually just do a half order and it's plenty of food. And my bill w/o coffee is about $10. You will not regret going here.

We had the scrambled-eggs with salmon and the ricotta-filled french toast. The food was very rich in its flavor, which matched the lively ambiance.

A busy Saturday morning at Morning Glory but you can wait on the front porch with a fresh cup of coffee. Sourdough, blueberry pancakes with lemon butter; delicious! Nice staff, great atmosphere!
