This is one of my favorite places to grab a gyro and fries! The parking is a little lacking, and the restaurant itself is small, limited in seating, a little outdated, and food can take a while to come out. However, the food itself is delicious, And, it is very clean and the owner and staff are friendly. The service is great! For Those reasons I keep coming back. Those gyros and fries tho... Yum!!

My experience at Ole Town Gyros was not terrible. The gyro meat was actually quite good. However the presentation of my Greek salad left a lot to be desired. I ordered the gyro salad which comes as a Greek salad with gyro meat on top. The meat was carefully laid over the salad but did not look appealing whatsoever. I had to fish under the meat for the other part of the dish and it was not what I was expecting for a Greek salad anyway. It had iceberg lettuce, black olives, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce. At the very least I would have preferred kalamata olives instead of black, not to mention greens other than iceberg. Obviously I am used to a different version of this kind of meal, so it just threw me off. It's possible that I would come back to try something different, but at this point, I've definitely experienced better.

Been here a couple times. Good food and large portions. Staff is very friendly and they have ample seating. Feels like you're eating at home with their service and atmosphere. Try the chicken kabob, it's so awesome. Never had any dessert there and not even sure if they have any but the amount of food you get it's probably a good thing I never had any lol. I would probably get food catered from here it's so tasty. They have gyros but they don't make them the same as what I've been use to so I passed on those but everything I've tried so far has been delicious. 4 solid stars for this place. Casual and comfortable dining experience.

For being a small town in Oklahoma, Norman has some solid gyro joints, and Ole Town is definitely up there. I had lunch at Ole Town on a Thursday. All of the tables but one were full when I arrived. This is a good sign. They have a lunch special: gyro, fries, and a drink. I believe it's $8.99. I added feta cheese for 50 cents, and you get quite a lot of cheese. So, I recommend you do the same. The food took about 10-15 minutes to come out, but like I said, it was the lunch rush. And, the fries were HOT. They clearly were just made, no sitting under a salamander at Ole Town. They are the semi-thick, very typical fries that you've probably seen at a million places. Ole Town at least seasons them, so that added some needed flavor. The gyro was large, and hot. The meat had the traditional Greek flavors, but there was something else I couldn't put my finger on. I know that doesn't help in writing a review, but it just had a slight something else that set it apart from previous gyros I've eaten. There were plenty of onions, but I found it to be lacking sauce. In fact, I ordered more tzatziki on the side for 50 cents. When you get a bite with meat, feta, sauce, and onions (I get mine without tomato) it was great. It's a good size gyro, it's unlikely you'll leave hungry. The restaurant may be small and dated, but it was clean, as was the restroom. It's in a tough spot, but remember, there is parking in the back. So, if the few spots up front are taken, don't let that deter you. This place has been here for awhile, and I can see why. I'll return.

Tried this place because of the popularity and reviews established of this place. Very small restaurant with only about 10 tables. I tried the lamb meat with rice and it was very good. The portions are huge!! One meal can easily feed 2 people. The lamb is hot fresh and juicy. I feel like the rice was a little dry but that would be my only downside to my meal. The prices are descent. Around 11-15$ a plate. The service was very good due to the small size of the restaurant. Defiantly going there again :)

I finally had a chance to try Ole Town Gyros for lunch and it wasn't bad. I ordered in the restaurant and had to take it to go because I was on a lunch break, so my food did have to travel a little bit. I ordered the lunch special, which comes with a regular gyro, fries, and a drink. She asked me if I wanted an extra tzatziki sauce and I said yes, but they forgot to put it with my order. All together, my order was over $10. I thought it was a little pricey. I thought the good was ok. In my opinion, there are better-tasting Greek food options in Norman, but I didn't get a chance to taste much. I should have tried the sampler platter that so many fellow yelpers have recommended and I think I will next time I visit. When I got there at around 12:30 I was the only customer in the store. It's a really small 'hole in the wall' restaurant. The lady behind the counter was really friendly and I liked that they had a picture menu on the wall. That always helps me choose.

This is my second time to get take out from here as well, and it just keeps getting better! I knew this time to get the medium sized gyro instead of the supreme because as previously stated, it is easily two meals. I also ordered the sampler, which includes delicious hummus and what they call white sauce (tzatziki sauce) to dip 3 different items in. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my to-go order because as soon as I walked in, about 10 people walked in after me. Granted, this weekend is the Norman Music Festival, but that just shows how good the food is. Parking is sparse, and may be a pain to have to back up into the main road (Porter) to get out. Inside there are about 6 normal sized tables and 2 small booths in the hallway for 2 people at each booth. They also have other random food on the menu such a onion rings, chicken tenders, and mozzarella sticks, but I guess it's better to be safe and have that kind of food for kids or people who's palate may not prefer the Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern cuisine. Overall, A+ I love this place!

The gyros are a good value. Good meat and vegetables ratio. Meat seems to be freshly sliced and not warmed on a grill, but who knows there is no view of the kitchen like most gyro stores. Fries are always hot and crispy.

I tried Ole Town for the first time, 3 years ago. Still I'm going there and enjoy their delicious food. Huge portions of good foods for acceptable prices. Highly recommended :)

Old Towne is by far the best Gyro in Norman. Friendly owners and speedy service. Great to pick up and take home. Try the sumac seasoning on your gyro or fries, great addition.

Just about the best gyros you can get in Norman. Prices are great and the quantity of food is enormous. Parking can be a bit difficult but still easier than campus areas. Make the short drive and you will be rewarded.

One of the best Mediterranean places in the metro. Their dolma is just about perfect... Super tender grape leaves tightly wrapped around rice and flavorful spices. The tetzhiki sauce is creamy with little hints of (I believe) cucumber and dill. Greek salad is awesome and comes with several of their dinners. I'm a big fan of the kubideh kabobs. It's a hidden gem in the heart of Norman.

I passed by this elusive little restaurant a hundred times, but never went in until tonight. But, in my defense I've only recently come across disposable income again, so I decided to give it a try. I got a falafel sandwich and some dolmas, and picked up a gyro for my dad. He said it was really good, but I'll never know unless they make a veggie version. My dolmas were tangy and flavorful, and both sandwiches were stuffed pretty full. So no complaints on portions. It isn't a very big restaurant, and seating looks like it could get cramped if it were busy. Parking is a potential issue though. Luckily I didn't have any problems, but the lot isn't very big and getting out is a bit of a chore. Its location seems to be convenient... but I'm not the best judge of that, because I'm not familiar enough with the area and where I live, everything is inconvenient to get to, considering my neighborhood looks like the Blair Witch Project. I definitely want to go back and try more things, but I will say that I'm glad that I've found an excellent replacement restaurant since moving to Norman; i.e. the restaurants I used to frequent are now 1000 miles away and it's time to find some new regulars.

I don't know how I went so long without visiting this place, especially after it came so highly recommended by everyone I knew in college. Now, I'm so sorry I didn't stop in sooner. The. Portions. Are. Ginormous. I tried the falafel with hummus and split a combo plate with another person, and I still walked out with enough gyro meat, fries and pita bread to comprise two more meals. Gyro meat is greasy, but this was the RIGHT kind of greasy. The salad was as Greek salad always is, light with a tart vinaigrette dressing. It's a bizarre little setup they have in there, and you won't fit if you have a large group, but the lady at the counter was super sweet and helpful. Loved it, and I'll go back soon.

The food is really good. I had the gyro special, they have very large portions. The parking is a problem to get into and out off. I would go again.

Pretty much inferior to Greek House in every conceivably way. Plus it costs twice as much.

Small venue, big taste. Creamy, nutty hummus; perfect dolma; fresh fluffy pita; falafel crispy and not greasy. Customers uniformly happy when I was there. Polite service.

I've been here twice and both times I've gotten delicious food without waiting. We tried all of their appetizers and everything tasted fresh. The gyros are served on warm pita and their tatziki is tasty. Just know that extra tatziki on the side is $2 more. A little too overpriced for my taste, but it is good. As stated in an earlier review, the supreme is gigantic so it is enough for two meals. I recommend this place to friends all the time. Bang for the buck is here. If you are eating there, it is small and the chairs are very close together. I wouldn't recommend it for large groups eating in the restaurant. For that situation, send someone for their take out.

DELICIOUS gyros in Sooner nation!! A great place to go after a football game and check out the crowd. Also just a few blocks from campus.

Awesome and cheap gyros in the middle of nowhere, no offence to OU students, it's actually close to their campus :) It's owned by an Iranian family, and they're well known all over Norman. On my way from Dallas to Wichita and back, I've actually made en effort of taking this delicious detour a few times. I used to get their gyro platter for $7.95 or something like that... let me tell you, there's a lot of meat in that plate, good quality meat that is...
