I really dig this place. While I don't think the wings are the best in the area, as far as drive through is concerned it's pretty good. The good: 1) relatively quick. They make it to order- so there are times that you can wait 10 minutes, buts never outrageous. 2) The Honey BBQ is the best flavor. Not too spicy. 3) They give you a couple of dipping sauces with your meal. Shouldn't be a big deal, but a lot of wing places have started charging per container. So it's a nice change. The bad 1) I've been underwhelmed by the chicken tenders. They aren't awful, but I think they always come out a little dry. Look, this isn't the place you're going to go and spend a few hours eating and talking... It's a fast food place. However, this is totally good for a quick wing fix on the way home from work.

I can honestly say they have the best traditional wings I've ever had, both flavor and quality wise. The fries were good but could use a little more seasoning and the chicken tenders are juicy and decent - not weighed down by too much breading. Love the blues they play!

In a saturated market of Chicken Tenders and Special Sauces, Slim Chickens ranks among the top. Food: The chicken is good, the sides are GREAT. Fried Pickles or Mushrooms? SIGN ME UP. In my opinion the "Slims Sauce" is better than the popular "Raising Cane's Sauce" but be mindful it's very tomato based. Atmosphere: Dining inside is a joy, the super cool southern decor mixed with the country music (I'm not even a country fan but it was enjoyable) and not to mention endless Sweet Peach Tea. Service: While I did receive an error in my order (Paid for 5 tenders received 2) the employee did not question me and instead apologized and got me my 3 tenders in a matter of a minute or two. OVERALL: I would recommend this place to a friend.

A desire for a simple but quality Sunday dinner led me to Slim Chickens. What could be more logical than chicken for a Sunday dinner? This was my first visit to Slim Chickens so I had no idea what to expect. I found a rather short menu board over a small counter. I ordered the Chicks plate (3 tenders, fries, Texas toast, 1 dipping sauce-gravy & a drink-tea) I received my number and got my drink -self service and sat down in the small but clean, almost sparse dining area. Soon the food arrived with piping hot tenders, fries at medium temperature and 2 small halves of French toast. The fries were seasoned to a slightly peppery/salty degree that kept them from being great. The tenders when cool enough to eat were indeed good with a thin breading and just enough seasoning to allow the chicken to shine in its meaty glory. The gravy did not disappoint with an appropriate creaminess and just enough pepper to keep it from being a flavorless blanket.., just right I thought. The Texas Toast had a very slight garlic flavor I did not expect but was not so strong as to ruin the meal. The price for this modest meal was about 7 and change so not bad but would be overpriced if any higher. The tea was good by restaurant standards and I mixed sweet and unsweetened to get a proper balance. The menu offered much spicier or strongly flavored options than I chose but I chose to try the most basic of the offerings. If they couldn't get the basics right than there is no reason to expect they would get stronger flavors right. With the exception of the fries I say they did just fine. Since they offer alternatives to fries I say don't be afraid to try one of those. Worth another visit if you hanker some good chicken tenders.

Their chicken tenders are so. good. It is a little pricier (by a dollar or two) than some of the other fast casual chicken places nearby but it is much tastier, and made to order. They also have great wings and other, healthier options like salads-which of course I have only tried once. Because it's made to order you do wait a little longer if it's really busy inside, but I don't mind. I am usually with a group of friends and we split a few baskets. Their fries, Texas toast and dipping sauces are great. They have a nice covered outdoor patio with a television. Can't wait for summer weather to return so I can sip on iced tea and eat some chicken out there.

Atmosphere was good, place was clean and well kept. Staff was friendly. Good, a little over priced and really lacked flavor. Buffalo sauce was good thank goodness, cause the chicken (grilled) was really bland. Almost seemed pre cooked.

Just grabbing a wrap on the way home today, and I had to wait (about a min, min and a half) to just get my order taken.. Which wasn't a big deal until I pulled up and there was nobody in front of me. Then I had to wait another min or maybe even two to have someone greet me at the window. Service at this location is always slow, but today was the worst with no traffic or reason to as why. However, even though service is slow, service is always nice and food is good. Buffalo wrap is my favorite. SEP. 13, 2015: I edited this and deducted a star. We've given this place so many chances since it's right by our house. Last week, my husband went to go grab dinner, and he waited for probably 15 minutes with nobody in the drive through and forgot the grilled chicken on the chicken salad.

The food is pretty good. Love the tenders and greasy fried pickles are a good splurge. The service, on the other hand, is hard to love. It feels like a bunch of high school kids unsupervised. I have never had exceptional service here, never left with what I asked for. Wanting to skip the long wait one time, I called in my order, pulled into the drive thru to pick up and they told me I wasn't allowed to pick it up there. I park, go In, they give me someone else's order, had to sit and wait 20 mins for mine to be ready and still left with the wrong food! In the meantime, I asked why I couldn't pick up in line and the guy said he didn't know why the girl told me that. We decided to try again tonight and left with the wrong order, too tired to go back and fix it. We would eat there more if we could get better service. I feel they just need better training and an efficient manager.

For chicken tenders, this is my favorite place to go. I've had their chicken wings, but it's the tenders that keep me coming back for more. The seasoning that they use reminds me of Chick-fil-a nuggets! When they're closed on Sunday, try Slim :) Their 5 piece combo (Slim Plate) can easily feed two people. It includes chicken strips, hand cut french fries and a piece of buttered Texas Toast. You get to choose two different sauces at no extra charge. My sauces of choice? Slim Sauce (similar to Cane's sauce) and Cayenne Ranch (light garlic flavor with a bite to it). You really don't need the dipping sauce because the batter is pretty flavorful, but that's just me. The french fries are covered with seasoning salt, but the batches we've received are cold and flimsy. They're best served hot! Not in the mood for tenders? Try their sandwiches, wraps or salads! Feeding a group of people? Buy their wings and tenders in bulk! 6-50 wings or 10-100 tenders ranging from $5.79-$84.99. I know where I'm going when I host another party! Downside? The meals are kind of pricy. The Slim Plate alone costs about 9 bucks and some change which includes tax. It's pricy if you're eating on your own I guess.

This place was awesome! We tried several different flavors & they were all really good. Chicken was still nice & hot when we got it home. They also have this amazing type of ranch dipping dressing that was not only good for the chicken, but good with the French fries as well.

Awesome salads ! The prices here are a bit on the high side but the salad is worth it in my opinion . The drive thru is slower then snails so you may want to go inside to order a Togo order

I love this place. As someone who is new to the area, I have tried a lot of chicken options and this is still the best. We have food from this location at least once a week. Super tender chicken strips, excellent sauces and I even like the pink lemonade. I could take or leave the Texas toast most of the time, but they have chicken in the name, not Texas toast. The chicken is where they shine, head and shoulders above the other chicken strip spots in the area, and they have a drive thru so they have me locked in for a while.

There are a number of "chicken tender only" joints in Edmond and I decided to try them all. Slim Chickens is decent, but it leaves a lot to be desired. The sauce is acceptable, but not great. If you need a quick tender Slim Chickens will work.

The first time I went there a year and a half ago, they had a set of coupons in a coupon fundraiser book... We were excited to try a new place out using a coupon... Less to lose if its not good. We show the cashier the coupon and they refused to accept and honor the coupon claiming it was a mistake or something like that. Sounds like their problem... Shouldn't have printed a coupon then! I think I recall them giving us a free drink but we were beyond unimpressed at that point that it didn't make up for it. My husband has refused to go back since, but last night I was on my own so I decided to give it another shot... Waited in the drive through for about 20 minutes... They weren't rude but they certainly were not going to apologize for the wait. The food was OK last night.. Strips were good, a little on the small side. Fries weren't bad... I think I will just stick with Chicfila though! Less than mediocre service is hard to forgive.

Great food, on the expensive side and very disappointed in the staffing--seems like a bunch of high school kids with no supervision--goofing and not paying attention that we were even at the counter for several minutes. Wish the atmosphere was nicer--probably go back a lot more, even though it's off the beaten path for me.

Horrible service. Horrible wait. Mediocre food. First, the staff was unbelievably rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I went inside as I had never been before and didn't want to sit in the drive-thru while I checked the menu and decided what I would have. The apparent manager stood at the counter tapping cups waiting for me to order until he finally walked away to gossip with the girls while I checked out the menu. While ordering my friend asked for her sauce on the wife. The manager started saying she could not do this, so she said that's fine. After she'd given up he started explaining the system wouldn't allow him to - none of this explains why the sauce could not go into a little container, perhaps the same ones the ranch came in? Truly horrid service to just say, "no" to a reasonable and frankly easily accommodated request. After I ordered I waited over 20 minutes for my food. Nothing about the good was impressive enough to deserve such a wait. The only flavor the chicken has is from the sauces which are available without any preparation. In fact every other fried chicken fast food joint is as good if not better at a 1/4 to 1/10 the wait. While waiting, only one of the four college kids was even attempting to work. The manager flirted and made inappropriate comments to one of the young ladies. Eventually, near the end of the long wait, an argument ensued as to what we had even ordered, telling me (correctly) that they would mess up the order (they did) and the restaurant would be a failure (it was). The food was mediocre at best. The sauces came from Walmart. The "toast" was soggy and worthless, and the chicken could have come from any other joint. The fries were decent, with a spicy salt on them that I enjoyed. I will never return. I have no need to work this hard for a fast food chicken joint.

Sauces are good but could use a little work but great fries. Nice decor and clever name. I would like to see a little more selection but I was satisfied overall. I may be a little biased because I love chicken though. Maybe 3.5 stars.

I will not be going back to this restaurant. It is down the street from my office so I tried it a few times but was dissatisfied by their lack of attention to my simple requests. First off, they take about 15 minutes PER ORDER. I was in the drive through the entire span of my lunch break. I asked them about this and was told that all chicken is made to order. I don't care how good your chicken is, I'm not going to sit in my car for 30 minutes waiting on it. The first 4 times I went I asked for no drink since I have a stocked fridge at the office. Finally on the fifth visit I was informed that the drink comes with the meal and I don't save any money by going without it. Thanks for telling me guys. Then I found that by the time I get a chance to eat usually the bun is soggy with the amount of honey mustard they put on. I asked for the mustard to be on the side but this was too much for them to handle. I called to tell the manager about my issues and she offered to send me a gift card if it would get me to give them another chance to keep my business. I accepted her gesture. That was a month ago. No card yet. No business from me coming. TL;DR: not worth the hassle.

I love the food!!!! The chicken is always super fresh and hot when it comes out - I usually end up burning my tongue in my haste to eat it! I usually eat here about once a week and the food is always freshly cooked. It's nice to not have heat lamp warmed food.
