Chicken Express is one of my favorite places to get chicken because of their sweet tea and fried pickles. The chicken isn't the best, there are other establishments where the chicken is better and has more flavor, but nowhere else comes close to the sweet tea from Chicken E. It's my FAVORITE place to go for that. This location is typically very prompt and they keep the inside very clean.

It is terrible for them to lose business over Okra. I had the same experience as another reviewer. They left the okra that I paid for out of my order. This time I didn't check that my order was correct before leaving. It's always frustrating to get home to find something is left out. My daughter and I had made it a new routine to eat there after gymnastics so I knew we'd be there again in two days. And so we were. I brought it to the managers attention and asked him to comp my okra and was flat out told no. I explained to him what happened and was told no. I asked him if he really thought I was going to pull one over on him for $1.39 and he corrected me... "It's $1.69, almost $2 with the tax. You have to look at it from my view." I restrained from laughing, told him thanks and that I didn't need the meal I just ordered. Here's the best part. Went a block away to Slim Chickens. Ordered a similar meal, pulled to the window and noticed they offered grilled tenders. I asked if I could have a combo as I hadn't tried their regular tenders yet. She said yes... Except she gave me them to try in addition to my order. Customer service is everything. Thanks Chicken Express for introducing me to your better competition, Slim Chickens, for our new after gymnastics routine.

If you like grease well this is place for you. If you like crappy service with your grease you just found your new fav hangout! Be aware if they make a mistake on your take out order and you even take your receipt up to location the just tell you to call complaint hot line . The attitude is it's your problem we don't care, call someone who doesn't care either Complete joke ! They suck

Went back as I was in that part of Edmond. Tables were clean as well as the floor. The okra was a bit over cooked this time and the gizzards a tad under cooked. I told myself I was done with their catfish but I could not help myself and ordered one piece to see how it was. I am happy to report that it has really improved. The batter is still to salty but the taste and size of the fillets have improved. The nod for catfish goes to Shelby's Fish Shak and their tarter sauce is way better than Chicken Express. Still love the southern sweet tea. Wish they were consistant with cooking all the food. Still only 4 stars because of it.

It's fast food so don't get crazy with those expectations but this place is great. Their chicken tenders and gravy make a great lunch. I personally like the fries but my wife tends to go for the okra. Plus, the sweet tea is some of the best

I have had it several times and my favorite Food to get is the chicken tenders with a biscuit and gravy and corn nuggets! Some days it is better than and fresher than others, but I would recommend this Restaurant!! Most frequently I go to the location In Edmond but I have gone to other locations in Texas.

First visit was good, but now they have been open a little while I think service and food quality has dropped. Went @ 9 pm. Waited about ten minutes for fresh fish which was fine, but when I get home they had given me the old fish. Dried, cold and BAD. Sides are small and that night cold as well.

I got to say that the chicken tenders that I had were pretty good. Very moist and tender to say the least. Now the sides (fries and coleslaw) were not all that good. The fries I had were sort of soggy and the coleslaw was sort of plain. But the chicken was awesome! I cant complain there! Overall it was a decent meal for the money. I would have rated it a 4 star but the fries killed it for me. Next time I visit my parent in Oklahoma I will definitely give it another try. If they get the fries right, I will asking my parents to stop here and pick me up a quick bite to eat!
