Not just the best breakfast we've had in Edmond in forever but the best meal!! Excellent service...Pam was wonderful and so kind. From scratch cooking. We will be returning for sure! Our family of 4 tested the pancakes, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, French toast and the smothered breakfast burrito! All were just fabulous!

They have made it impossible for me to enjoy breakfast anywhere else! The french toast is so good - Scott says there is nothing secret/special in there, but it tastes better than any other I have had. The burritos are great - LOVE the green chili sauce. The staff is great - make you feel right at home.

Server was very good. Prices were reasonable. I asked for egg whites and was told that requests for egg whites makes the cook mad - really?! The burrito smothered in green chili looked amazing, but wasn't. The main ingredient being hash browns (way to much) that apparently were blended with the eggs and then kind of cooked, yuck! Pancakes looked amazing, but one was tough and the other one was kind of dry. I ordered eggs over hard and basically got scrambled eggs. Very disappointing. We don't plan on coming back.

This is a very pleasant change to the hustle and bustle of restaurants. We enjoyed a home cooked, very fresh breakfast for an extremely reasonable cost. The waitress was very personable and friendly. Made us feel like we were relatives. The owner came around to check on the patrons and see if we were satisfied. Who does that these days? We were very impressed and will recommend this restaurant to many friends. Can't wait to take the rest of the family for a great meal. Oh yeah, you might have to wait for a table because it isn't really that large of a place but you won't be disappointed. Use your time to make a new friend or be an encouragement to someone.

So, I have been excited to try this place for a while, but have had a hard time getting motivated on weekend mornings. We had swimming lessons for the kids and stopped by on the way. The restaurant is well kept, homey, the staff are polite, fun, and attentive. Presumably the owner came out to see how we were liking our food. The prices were reasonable, and there were items that appealed to my taste. When the food arrived, the portions were huge. The burrito was almost the size of my forearm. It was smothered in green chili and melted cheese. It looked glorious. The green chili was good, but the burrito was filled with that bulk uncased breakfast sausage, which just isn't very good. Sadly, the food was not bad, but not great or memorable. It's a solid backup to Jimmy's egg. I'd like to see them polish some of the food items to be slightly more unique. The green chili is a great start.

Wow! Simply amazing green chilli like it should be made. I ordered the breakfast burrito smothered with green chilli. True green chilli like I get in Colorado and New Mexico... sinus clearing, mouth watering green chilli! My son got the pancake sandwich. The pancakes were as big as the plate and truly delicious. My daughter had the regular breakfast burrito. All three of us took food home in boxes. The owners do the cooking but took time out to make sure everything was up to our expectations. The waitress was attentive. A friendly atmosphere decorated with southwest accents. It was very clean. The only drawbacks I see are the size, and the hours. They are only open until noon and dinner Friday night. I will go back many times, I'm sure!

Absolutely the best place to eat breakfast. My husband and I split the 'Scooter'. A large portion and so delicious. The place is small with 10 tables so it can fill up fast. Wait staff take great care of you. Owner comes out and checks on patrons. Great little find and a place we will be returning to.

Absolutely awesome place to eat. The service is excellent, and the food is fantastic! Everything is great for breakfast, but I'm hooked on the smothered breakfast burrito.

Been in the Okc region for about 6 months and can't believe that its near impossible to find green chili smothered breakfast burritos. I seen a review that mentioned Rockie Mountain Grill and green chili so I just had to try it. Both my girlfriend and I had the smothered breakfast burrito and thankfully it was smothered with real green chili, (not some green taco sauce or salsa that a few places have tried to pass off on me. Now I wont sit here and say it was the best green chili in the world, but it was authentic and certainly the best I've found in the okc metro. The food was probably a three star, but the service and price added an additional to make it 4. Glad we found this place and we will be back when we need a green chili fix.

*****Update**** We tried to go for lunch on Saturday to find that they have changed their hours to 6 AM to 12 PM...*sigh* Put a crimp in our plans. Keep that in mind if you want to head on over to check them out. *****Original Review***** The old Purple Burro has been replaced...though the sign still remains and you have to look for the small banner over the front door that now declares this to now be the Rocky Mountain Grill. The hubby had been waiting for me to get home to try it out, as he heard the burgers and breakfasts are awesome, so today we headed in for lunch. The folks are friendly and the food is down home cooking. Oddly enough, while the burgers and brunch brought us in, I had the chicken fried steak and hubby had the chicken nachos. The steak was tenderized, which is something a lot of folks tend to skip but it can make or break the meal, and the gravy was a standard white gravy. Mashed potatoes (or fries) and green beans rounded out my meal and it was pretty tasty. Hubby ordered the chicken nachos. This is definitely a meal, not a share amongst the group kind of nachos as they are three tostada shells rather than a bunch of chips. He says they were good and would get them again. He also thought a taste of my chicken fried steak was tasty as well. I have to say the iced tea was freshly brewed, not what I am used to around town these days...where it's been brewed in the same dispenser for weeks on end and has never been cleaned out. It stood out and made a great impression to this iced tea lover. This is not an upscale brunch and burger kind of place and the prices reflect that. If you want a good meal at a good price, head on over an check them out! We WILL be going back to try the burgers and brunch. We loved the friendly staff and how the chef and owner came out to say hello and check on our food. It's the kind of place where you could become a regular and feel at home.

Greatest hamburger in Edmond. Didn't try the 4 pounder, tho. Great service. The owner came and greeted us after we were served. Even had soccer match on screen. Would definitely go there again

Been here three times now and have never been disappointed. The owner/cook is very nice and will usually come by your table to ask you how everything was. Extreamly large portion sizes and the green chili is to die for! You can even buy a jar of it to take home with you (he makes it fresh everyday). Prices are dirt cheap... you would be wise to visit this place... I know I'll be back!

If home cooked breakfast had a Taj Mahal, this would be it. The food is delicious, the service is great - that rare, make you smile service that barely exists anymore - and the price is absolutely right. The perfect Saturday morning breakfast.

We live nearby and eat here often. I think Scott does a great job and turns out some solid, home-cooked meals. I've eaten many of his breakfast burritos, which you can stop in and grab faster than any fast food place, and are far superior in flavor and size. All of the breakfast items I've had are consistently good, as is the green chili cheeseburger. Glad to have a non-chain option close by.

I love trying places I've never been before, so when I saw this on Yelp! I thought I would give it a try. Everything about the experience was "just ok." From the Yelp reviews, I was expecting a fairly good sized menu, but it was small. Small menus are fine with me if what is on them is done exceptionally well. I ordered a green chili chicken breast and a salad. The salad was from a bag and the dressing was Kraft ranch, neither were impressive. My chicken breast was very thin, as if they'd cut it in half to make it go further. Unfortunately, this caused it to be dry and very tough. Some other tables had burritos which looked like a better choice, but nothing about it appeared home made like you would hope for from a local diner. The staff was "ok," not particularly friendly (although, there were two tables of apparent regulars in the restaurant and they were very responsive to those tables) and the restaurant, while very small, was pretty clean (only one small unisex bathroom which sort of grosses me out, but that's just being picky). Overall, I probably won't give it a second chance, but if you're looking for a quick, cheap meal, this would fit the bill. Otherwise, go to Green Chili Kitchen in Yukon for your green chili fix, it's in a whole different league!
