    Best. Pizza. Ever. 'Nough said.

Friday night is a good night for pizza. After a long day at work I chose one of Edmond's lesser known pizza parlors. Humble Pie Pizzeria is located in a small strip mall with limited parking. Once inside the decor is ample fodder for conversation and amusement. Dollar bills hang from the ceiling, bent peels on the wall and photos of the pizza Meccas New York and Chicago adorn the walls. They offer both New York and Chicago style pizza. The crust on my pizza was very pie like with a golden brown flavor that served as the perfect counter point for the mild tomato tartness of the original red sauce. The toppings were fresh and worthy of the hype bestowed upon them. The mozzarella cheese was a delicious chewy example of what pizza cheese should be. There is no better pizza than the pie at Humble Pie. Be warned it is a small place and not unknown as a good place for the Italian contribution to classic American cuisine. Goodness like this takes time to prepare so be ready for some conversation with your dinner companion.

These pies are pretty good. I've only had the New York style so I can't speak to the Chicago style. The Hawaiian is my favorite. We got the supreme last time and it was good but not the best I've ever had. My husband is from the east coast and said his only complaint is that the New York style is not what he's used to. It could be a little flatter but hey - that's just one east coaster's opinion. The staff is super friendly. If I lived in the Edmond area, I would pick up a pie from here pretty often.

From the outside, this place doesn't look like much, and you'd likely drive right by and miss it if you weren't looking for it. But the lack of an enticing exterior is made up by the food. I have only had the Chicago style, so I can't comment about what else is available. My husband and I both grew up in Chicago, and we know what Chicago style pizza is supposed to be and how it's supposed to taste. Many, many places miss the mark. Humble Pie does a fantastic job with theirs! Not perfect, but pretty close to it. The Chicago style pizza debate amongst true Chicagoans who know their pizza always comes down to Lou Malnati's and Giordano's. Uno's is consistently left out of the picture, because, well, it just does not compare to the others. Consider Uno's to be the "touristy" Chicago style pizza. Humble Pie is considerably better than Uno's and resembles Lou's much more in flavor, even with the sauce that has a touch of sweetness. Big bonus for us since we occasionally like to have Lou's shipped to us, but it is costly. This makes for a great substitute when we really want a taste of home. And yes, expect a long wait for your pizza if going with Chicago style. That's the nature of this type of pizza, and is common with any place in Chicago that makes Chicago style pizza. If you want an experience close to what we Chicagoans are familiar with, it's not going to come fast. So plan ahead if that's what you want but don't have a lot of time. We ordered a half pepperoni pizza, half cheese pizza (kids are in that "cheese only" phase), and the only downside was that the pepperoni was pretty sparse. For nearly $2 for pepperoni, more could have been added for half of a 10 inch pizza. But there was enough pizza for all of us to have two slices each, which is more than plenty when it comes to Chicago style. The decor is casual, and you'll see several dollars tacked onto the ceiling. All contributions are sent to the Oklahomans Against Human Trafficking. Great pizza and a great cause? Awesome! I will be back for sure.

On the outside it kind of looks like a dive, but inside it's rather quaint. Still I prefer takeout and in the end the most important part is the pizza itself which is outstanding. My wife really likes the spinach and artichoke hearts pizza and while I prefer meat pizzas I have to say even this vegetarian New York style choice by my wife was exceptional. We'll be buying from this place again!

Family-owned business with a very friendly staff, in spite of sometimes slow service. (Not talking about bake time for pizza.) But it makes no difference once you taste the pizza. The Chicago Deep Dish can't miss..we've never tried anything we didn't like. The New York style is also good. One of my family's favorites!

Amazing deep dish pizzas ! The staff is great - very friendly and hospitable . The outside doesn't look like much but don't let that discourage you . This is my new favorite place to get good pizza !

Fantastic pizza. We tried 3 different types pepperoni, supreme and baked potato in Chicago Style and New York Style, all were delicious. Our server Jason H. was friendly and very helpful with the menu, recommendations and was on top of everything during our dining experience. We found our new favorite pizza joint in OKC!

  • Ross S.

The best deep dish in OKC. The New York is a perfect pretzel crust and the Chicago is the classic buttery crumble pie crust, they will even do the New York crust on the deep dish (confused crust). Their menu has the classics and they are great, some of the best red sauce ever. But my real favorite thing is the crazy pizzas you can get here, from the loaded baked potato pizza, to the chicken bacon ranch pizza. There is even a secret menu on the Facebook page with even better ones.

Maybe just a bad night but wait was beyond slow!! The deep dish was hot on top but everything inside was cold! The waitress did not care to make it right in anyway but offering a box to take it home, umm NO! The New York style was ok but Won't come back or recommend to anyone.

This is honestly some of the best pizza I've had in the OKC metro area. I went a couple Saturdays ago right when they opened. Already quite busy, but the food didn't take too long, and it was wonderful. Highly recommend this place!

Went to Humble Pie for a early dinner with friends and family! It was our first time and had a great experience! I LOVE pizza, and I really enjoyed the food here. We had a large group and we were seated right away, the place is comfy and casual . We ordered three pizzas, 12 cheese and Hawaiian ( New York style) and the Meat lovers (Chicago style) All were really tasty. My favorite was the Hawaiian, tons of topping and great quality ham. I think its great to have a pizzeria with the option of both, NY style and deep dish Chicago. The owner is really nice and cares about the customers and food quality. They also do this cool thing where they match any donations made towards a charity they support stopping human trafficking in OKC! I definitely will be back!

Thus far it's the finest pizza I've had in the Oklahoma City area. I've only done take-out from Humble Pie; the service over the phone is helpful, accurate, and friendly. Compared to the actual deep dish of Chicago, the deep dish style is heavier on the crust, which also tastes saltier. However, the ingredients are fresh and flavorful, and the pizza is thoroughly cooked. It's as close as you'll get to the real thing this far away from Chicago.

  • Drew D.

Incredible pizza, the best in Edmond. The sauce is incredible. The Chicago style does take 40 minutes to bake, as listed on the menu. While that can be a pain, it's totally worth it. I've never had a bad experience there. The pizza is great, but so are the side salads.

  • Patsy T.

This is the best pizza I've ever eaten. Ever. That includes in Rome, Chicago and New York. I'm notorious among friends for leaving "pizza bones," but ate every bite of this crust. To top it off, the service was amazing. I visited with the owner a bit and it's obvious he loves what he's doing. He said he spent 8 years working on the recipes and it shows. If I were a local I'd be here at least once a week. Incredible! I live 3.5 hours away and am starting to think that's not an unreasonable amount of time to drive for dinner on occasion.

  • Jay P.

Best NY Style pizza in all of Edmond. Hands down. And I know pizza.

    (5)
  • Candice D.

Literally the best pizza ever! It is a smaller place and not fancy but who cares....If I wanted atmosphere I'd eat at Chili's or someplace like that. They do pizza only and they do it perfectly! You'll find the owner working hard to make his customers happy. His wife helps as well! They are only open for dinner so get there early or expect a wait. The pizza does take some time before it gets I the table, but again...if I wanted hot and ready I'd go to little Caesars:) We take our family of four weekly!

  • Chris C.

Good food! But it takes a looooooong time to get to you! Had to wait 25 minutes for a cheese pizza

  • Amanda F.

It smells Amazing in Humble Pie! Chicago or NY style ... You can't go wrong. So refreshing to find some pizza that's not just a big pile of grease on some bread. I'm a sucker for saucy pizza and the NY style doesn't have much but the crust makes up for it. I don't eat pizza often so it's a big deal to crave HP. Great takeout in Edmond!

  • Heidi S.

Ok after looking at the the pics and seeing the reviews we were really excited to try this place. We ordered cheese bread, pizzas and an appetizer dip. The cheese bread was tough and was lacking CHEESE, the pictures online looked amazing and the crust seemed like it would be soft and puffy. Such a disappointment, it was thin and tough, hardly any cheese we spent about $45 and we waited 35 minutes to get less than decent pizza.

So I finally made my way to Humble Pie. I've been waiting for so long and today was the day! I drove right past this place and did not even know it because their Humble Pie sign doesn't light at up at all and I was driving at night time. The interior of the restaurant was pretty cool, they had tons of $1 dollar bills hanging from the ceiling. I wasn't sure what the purpose of that was. The place was also a bit chilly because I don't think they really turn up the heat that much. I saw ordered the endless pretzel along with the Chicago supreme style 6" and the Margarita pizza. I was highly disappointed with the endless pretzel. I thought it was going to soft pretzels or something, but it was just hard pretzels from a bag it looks like tossed with seasoning. It was served with ranch. I asked for a marinara sauce, which tasted very good. In fact, I thought the marinara sauce tasted better than the sauce that was on the pizza. This endless pretzel costs about $5-6 and I didn't think it was worth it. The first basket wasn't even finished. I thought the Chicago supreme pizza was ok, but it wasn't super. The 6" pizza was just about as big as my hands. I didn't like the flaky crust taste. I probably would prefer the normal crust. As for the margarita pizza, it was pretty good. I could taste the fresh basil and it was good.

I'm normally don't go for deep dish pizza but it's my husband's favorite so I went along with it. We split a half supreme & Chipotle chicken and I was pleasantly surprised! The flavor was amazing and I really enjoyed the crust!! The homemade soft pretzel sticks are an amazing starter too! If you're looking for a local great pizza go to Humble Pie!

Having just gotten back from Chicago and having the real deal, this is a close second. I ordered the Chicago deep dish Hawaiian and was very happy with my selection. The cooking does take a little longer, but it's worth the wait. The inside is simple, and the waitstaff was great. I would definitely come back here.

  • Heather H.

Where to start? I feel like my words are just not sophisticated enough to describe the yumminess of this pizza. We ordered the Meat Lovers with red sauce and The Greek Goddess with gorgonzola - both Chicago style. It was a bit of a wait, but nothing compared to Beau Joe's in Denver. The pizza came out and I fell in absolute love with The Greek Goddess with Gorgonzola! The crust was nothing I've ever had before. I was stuffed after two pieces & was sad to see it get boxed up to go. After a long night of activities, I couldn't wait to get home and have just a little bite of pizza. 10 minutes later & another piece gone, I was ready for bed. Can I tell you I woke up thinking about pizza? I actually dreamt of the delicious piece of heaven all night! If you are in Edmond, stop by & try some Humble Pie!

  • Lavel ..

First time having Chicago style deep dish people, so I have nothing to compare it too.. I got the chipotle chicken pizza and the cheese bread.. The cheese bread came out after a few min, fresh and hot!! The crust seemed to have a buttery garlic glaze which added flavor.. The pizza came out later, which came out fresh and hot as well! I think the deep dish would have been better if it added that buttery garlic glaze to the crust.. The food was good, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat at Humble Pie.. Nothing really to brag about..

Ok, made it to eat some good, deep dish pizza tonight. Ordered the supreme. I was disappointed. My first clue was it was only luke warm. A pizza coming out of an oven should have been piping hot. Second clue was lack of meat. In 2 pieces I had two small pieces of Italian sausage and couldn't find any pepperoni. On the other hand, the mozzarella was fresh, not the spongy grated stuff you can get at a grocery store. The sauce was probably canned but heavy application of pizza pepper and parmesan helped it out. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful, no complaints there. Was hoping for better, the search for good pizza will continue in OKC.

WOW! Never had Chicago style pizza before! VERY filling. If you want something casual this is great! The Chicago style deep dish takes about 40min (but that;s not bad) it tastes great and gives you a chance to talk with you date. Not the most ideal location but that would not inhibit us from going back.

    (4)
  • John W.

While not quite a true Chicago deep dish, it's about as close as you'll find around here and still quite tasty.

  • Carlos B.

Its my favorite pizza place in the metro. I've had the supreme, Greek Goddess, and Hawaiian Chicago style. And the meat lovers NY style. The Greek is definitely the way to go but the Hawaiian was amazing too after it got cold.

  • Ashlyn B.

Just left this place from eating dinner and it was amazing! Got a meat lovers New York style and it was so good! Also got the cheese bread as an appetizer and it was huge! The atmosphere is so cute and neat!

  • Bob S.

It is ok but not as good as Giordano's in Chicago. The crust is ok but not the same. A little too salty for my taste also.

Second time ordering and was not disappointed. Chicago deep dish was excellent, New York was yummy but the pretzel sticks will keep me coming back.

NOTE TO OTHERS POSTING: Rating: Pizza: Chicago Deep 10" - 4.5 Atmosphere: Really minimal: 3.5 Staff: Great ladies - 5 Overall: 5 for giving me the experience I was looking for all the way in OKC! It seems I have to talk pizza for the OKC crowd and tourists for a minute. I am a Boston boy. My concept of pizza is large, flat, and quick. NY Style pizza was by far my favorite. Expect large slices and quick turn-around. I recently headed to Chicago and tried it at one of the flagship pizza places. (Will not discuss where because the Chicago crowd will get all uppity.) It was absolutely AMAZING. Best thing I have ever put in my mouth. EVER. Now, Humble Pie offers both, so you can imagine this puts you at a disadvantage if you do not know what you are getting. Chicago style pies TAKE TIME to make. 30 to 40 minutes is the average. That is assuming you go right into production. NY Style should not take as long, but this place is BUSY. So expect to spend some time. They allow call aheads, so plan accordingly. So I picked up a 1/2 and 1/2 Chicago on Friday. I was over an hour late of the pickup time, so don't get me wrong, my experience is not optimal. However, the pie was not overdone, nor was it dried out. It wasn't as hot as it would have been had we got it right away, though, as expected. The pie overall was a 5, but left me wanting more of the Chicago experience. Again, the place I went to in Chicago made an exceptional pie, so I think it will be unlikely before I have that experience again. However, Humble was as good as I expected. We will be back!

Absolutely love everything about this place. I would, however, recommend coming early on Fridays and Saturdays -- they're quite busy.

Wow! What a treasure and find in OKC. My friend took me here and ordered off menu ( try and ask for the Reuben - AMAZING ). We also had the omg and yeah it really was OMG. Place was busy and moving. Great beer selection. I never seen a place that had great beer in a small Resturant like this. Don't miss it. I have never wrote a review anywhere but am highly recommending Humble Pie!

  • Ashley D.

I love Humble Pie. I love it for so many reasons. But being FoodieAshley, the number one reason of course is food. The ambience is very casual, and they have a small dining room with 10-15 tables. They would not be able to accommodate terribly large group on a busy night. Recently, my family and I enjoyed a post turkey day dinner at Humble pie. None of my table of 8 had dined at Humble Pie before, except for me and my husband. They were all very impressed. The majority of us ordered the Chicago style pizza, but my dad, being a native New Yorker, ordered the New York style pizza. To start our meal, we ordered a large salad and four of us shared it. My dad and brother in law both got their own. My husband got a beer instead :) Their salads aren't skimpy. In fact, one of my biggest pet peeves is getting a bowl full of old lettuce, ice burg lettuce, or romaine full of stems (bones as I call them). These salads are full of beautiful lettuce and fresh ingredients. And they are huge! The large salad is $4 and some change, and the small is a bit over $2. I believe they have 3 salad options. They also offer a basket of bottomless house seasoned pretzels that is pretty good. They are a perfect balance of sweetness and spice and makes my tongue confused but happy. Now, lets get to the pizza. I personally think their Chicago pizza is the way to go, but I had two slices of my Dad's NY pizza and it was bomb too. The best thing for me, being so indecisive, is that you can order half and half toppings on your pizza. My husband and I split a half supreme, half buffalo chicken pizza. They are both very yummy, but I think the supreme wins. The buffalo could benefit from some texture, such as crunchy celery bits and maybe some blue cheese crumbles. My mom and sister shared half 7 cheese and half Garden of Eden. They were both fantastic. The 7 cheese is just outrageous; so gooey. I have previously sampled other flavor options, and have never been disappointed. Then again, I love pizza. The Chicago pizza feeds 2-3 and the NY is substantially larger and could feed 4-6. I believe the Chicago pizza is $19. Keep in mind, it is a deep dish pizza. Many people believe that means that it has extra thick crust. However, in reality the crust is actually relatively thin, the same thickness as pie crust. The rest of the pizza is filled with toppings. Lots of toppings. And lots of delicious, stringy cheese. It really is a heavy pie, and worth every penny in my opinion. The NY pizza is delicious. However, being partial to NY pizza and my father having previously been a co-owner of a NY pizza joint, I would have to say that I think the crust is a bit thick for NY pizza. That being said, the crust has a wonderful chew to it, and a great elasticity. It crisps up nicely in their oven. My only complaint about Humble Pie is their beer menu. When I asked for a beer menu, I was handed a beer menu that had at least half of its offerings crossed out in black permanent marker. Additionally, there were no prices listed on the menu. That is just annoying to me. A large deciding factor in what beer I am going to drink is the price. When I asked the server how much the beer cost, she had to go check. When she returned, she told me $2.50-$4.00 depending on the beer. Again, that doesn't exactly help me with my decision. Additionally, they serve the beer in bottles and don't offer a glass. Being the beer snobs that we are, my husband and I prefer to pour most of our beers so that the flavors and any additives are evenly distributed throughout the beer. I realize it is a pizza joint, but a glass would be nice. They brought one when we asked though. For a place not having beer on tap, they did have a relatively decent selection of beers available. Not too many micro brews, but definitely more than the usual domestic offering. I love that Humble Pie is a family owned, local business. The owner is actually on site, checking in at each table to see how people enjoyed their food. He gets to know his customers. Previously, Humble Pie was open for lunch. But a conversation with the owner a few months ago enlightened me that the reason they are now a dinner only business is so he can spend more time with his wife and kids. I love that. Go check out humble pie. Your tummy and taste buds will thank you.

Last month, the boy and I were on a pizza kick. We heard through the grape vine that Humble Pie had some tasty pies, so we thought we'd order it to go one night. I wanted the deep dish, but my better half wanted the NY style pepperoni so that we can compare them to Empire and Pizza 23. After reading Ashley's review on the salad (I hate those stems/bones too!) I thought it'd be a good idea to order a Cesar. 45 minutes and our order would be ready for pick up. The interior reminds me of Edna's minus the smokeyness. Dollar bills all tacked to the ceiling and assorted booths and tables make this a casual, fun environment. There were only 3 patrons dining in that night- one was a family. We arrived at the counter and were greeted kindly. Our order was being packaged right before our eyes. I ate a piece in the car because nothing beats a hot slice out of the oven! It was fresh pretty tasty, but not a mind blowing experience. The salad came in a regular to-go style styrofoam container and was ok in flavor when I added the dressing. I still think Empire and Pizza 23 are my top favs, but I would like to go back and try the Chicago style next time I'm in the area.

The bf is from Chicago and was homesick so I found Humble Pie and surprised him. We loved the decor so we were excited to try the deep dish. We ordered a meatlovers deep dish and the big ass meatball (it might not be called that). I love meat, but this meatball wasnt very flavorful, kinda regular, wasnt bad but wasnt good. The pizza was also just ok, sauce wasnt amazing and toppings werent amazing. Ive had a better pizza at pizza hut on a good day.

  • Juju G.

Poor atmosphere it's just a mom and pop shop though so that's understandable. The deep dish pizza we had though was very fresh and good and the owner is very kind and generous. If I lived in Edmond I'd return more often.

Awesome pizzas! We just got the Cheese of the Day. It was great. Seems like you should go before 6:30 to avoid the dinner crowd. Especially on weekends. We've had a lot of different things on the menu and all are good and reasonably priced. Not very expensive for what you get. Gave it a 3 due to service. One bad apple can kill the experience.

I am having the worst dining experience I've ever had. The waitress forgot my drink order. Then put in the wrong food order for both me and my gf. We ordered 2 deep 6's and expected a wait but after over an hour the waitress brought out wrong NY style pizzas for both of us. My gf kept what the waitress brought her an said it was fine but mine was taken away and no explanation was provided for what was being done to fix it other than the waitress said she'd take off the pizzas from the bill and she would only charge us for only half of the drinks. I said it was fine but we would like to tab out since I was still starving. After tabbing out and heading to the car the owner waived us down before we left. He explained that they were temp shorthanded and the waitress was brand new and then gave us a complimentary pizza and invited us to come back after the holidays. I was impressed with his sincerity. Also I have been here before and all other times I thought this was the best pizza place in Oklahoma. I think this was just one bad night but the owner did his absolute best to make up for it and I'm grateful for that and will be back again.

I love deep dish pizza. I've had it all over the country. So I was excited to try this when I heard this was the best deep dish in the city. When we got there it was busy, so I thought that was a good sign. However, all it showed was that either people don't know what deep dish pizza is supposed to taste like or it was everybody's first and last time there. The sauce is basically bland Ragu out of the jar. The pizza was filled with crappy hamburger meet and a little bit of pepperoni. My wife and I didn't make it through one slice each. Very bad pizza.

Such a great find! The Chicago style takes some planning ahead and patience, but it was well worth it! The New York style is really good too. I only wish they delivered!

Delicious! Worth the wait time! Recommend the loaded baked potato with Added pulled pork and a drizzle of barbecue sauce!!

  • Susan B.

Humble Pie is reliably one of the best pizza places in the okc area. They make both chicago and new york style pizza and both are fantastic--order one of each if you can. The appetizer selection is a weak spot and the salads are fresh but not outstanding. Stick to pizza. And either call ahead or go with someone you like to talk to--it's not fast pizza.

Great classic Chicago style pizza! Good local pizza place that you must try. Service might be a little iffy and you do have to wait 40 min for a deep dish but it's worth it.

LEGIT! We had amazing food, top notch service, all around it was a great experience. This is what family Friday night dinner out is supposed to be like.

  • Angel G.

Best pizza in the area! Short and sweet. I like Upper Crust as well because of the "whole package" but Humble Pie is a "mom & pops" and that makes it more appealing. Their business hours are a bit too limited for a pizza place. Reasonable prices.

  • Rich R.

Wonderful pizza! We had the deep dish 10" and it was plenty of food for 2, with a couple slices to take home. We tried both the gorganzola sauce and the humble red sauce and both were out of this world. Not a sweet sauce thankfully! The crust isn't too doughy which is a success as well. And contrary to what we had been hearing, the wait for our deep 10" was very reasonable. We will certainly be back. Only issue was our server completely ignored us. Thankfully two other gentlemen picked up his slack. One thing of note for New York style pizza lovers, one thing I didnt see was one single pizza that resembled a New York slice so either everyone was ordering Chicago style or they dont make a true thin, foldable New York slice. Further inspection should give me my answer as I usually prefer a New York slice to Chicago.

Goodness golly oh my! When you eat something and you can notice it is considerably better than many of the same versions you've had previously? CONSIDERABLY BETTER! Humble pie will be the only place I will ever want to eat pizza from this point forward. If eat somewhere else then I will be in agony for the neglect of greatness I could be getting from Humble Pie. Serious pizza here.

  • Tori P.

Best pizza in Oklahoma! We ate at Humble Pie for the first time last night. The Chicago deep dish and the salads with the Gorgonzola Garlic dressing were amazing! I love their sauce. We ordered a personal size New York style pizza for my 3 year old. He said it was the best pizza ever. Our service was great as well.

Some of the best Pizza in OKC....OKC area. As it is in Edmond. Nifty little place with good eats. We ordered a Chitown Style Deep Dish of meat lover and the OMG, I think that was they name of it. The pizza was top notch. Best deep dish in the area. Seem like the only true Chicago deep dish in the area. I had just got back from work in Chicago and this pizzas was a good imitation. Still would rather have me some Lou Malnati's in Chi town, but that's a long drive. As well if you know Chicago pizzas parlors. This pizza is more of a Geno's style than Malnati's. Either way some good pizza here. I will be back anytime I am craving some Chicago Style.

want to know what makes me crazy? Some dork from Purcell or Taipei who knows absolutely NOTHING about pizza, especially Chicago style pie, gets on here and whines about how the "pizza didn't look like I thought it would" or "it took too long to cook". What?!?!? Go eat a hot pocket or a Blimpie sub from the Wal-Mart food court, you hick. This place has the best Chicago style pie in all of Texas OR Oklahoma. Be glad they let you in, Gomer!

  • Monica H.

Great pizza. Service is always amazing. Because the pies take a while to cook, you can call in your dine-in order. Always a good experience. They also offer military discount. Totally worth the trip!

  • Jill G.

We loved this place. Tried it because of yelp and glad we did. I wish we had more time to order the deep dish (quoted 45 minutes) but with two kiddos we passed. Loved our New York style pizza though. Had a great conversation with the owner and felt right at home will be back for sure!

Located between a smoke shop and a pawn shop.....it's going be the worst hole in the wall you could imagine....WRONG! I love this place. Okay, why the 4 and not 5 stars then? The only problem is the wait time. Especially if your are going for the Chicago style and not the New York style. That being said, it's worth the wait and believe it or not, it was a lot longer wait before the kitchen caught on fire and they had to get a new oven (thank God for silver linings). On to the goods. The Chicago style is the closest thing I've had to the real deal. I love the sauce. If I'm not mistaken, I can taste a hint of wine. My only complaint is the meat lovers pizza is a little salty. Also if you wait too long most of them will get soggy (nature of the beast). This place gives UNO pizza a run for its money. The New York style is like eating a pizza surrounded by buttery bread sticks...the crust is that good. Either way you can't go wrong. The taste in conjunction with the cool vibe (inside is open seating with pics of NY and Chicago on walls and well maintained - not a dive at all). Top it off with a good beer and you are set. Extra tip - order before you come on phone and it will save you some wait time. Staff is great.

Delicious pizza! The closest we've had to Chicago deep dish since... Chicago! Expect to spend some time here, since it takes around 30 minutes to cook the deep dish. Service is friendly and attentive. Tonight, our server (Jason, maybe?? I purposely read his name but still forgot) was serving, cooking, and bussing tonight, but was still very polite and took excellent care of us (and the kids)! Small, casual, welcoming environment. We are satisfied every time we go here and frequently recommend it to others. Plus, they offer a military discount! Very cool.

Magnificent! Pregnant and craving a really good slice of pie, we ordered out the New York Style Supreme. It smelled and looked heavenly, with mushrooms so thin they had a ribbon edge. Toppings piled high on a buttery crust left nothing to be desired. The pretzel sticks and beer cheese dip was an awesome compliment to the meal, or would have been great on their own. Pizza so filling, we had leftovers 2 meals in a row and loved it! A new fave for our family pizza night!

Shared an amazing 3-meat calzone with the wife, who loved it as much as I did. And the winter shandy is pure magic!! 9.7% ABV and you just can't tell there's even any alcohol in it!

Oh momma it's good! It takes a long time cause they are made to order so just expect a long visit but so worth it. Dang fine pie and the seasoned pretzels are ok but try to hold Out or you'll be miserable full cause you can't stop eating pie pie pie!!!

Great Chicago style pizza! The crust was amazing! The only reason it didn't get 4 stars was because our server brought us the chilled glasses stacked. Don't let the location deter you. It's a very casual atmosphere.

called around looking for gluten free pizza. this place said they had it. we ordered and went to pick it up, the box seemed small to me, and I would call it a small but it only comes in one size and I guess its medium. It was $20 bucks , just short of it. I was like wow, really, ?? the first time i got one it was really fairly large with lots of toppings, the second time ,, not so much, kinda felt like i got ripped , i even asked if this was a smaller size and they said they only make the gluten free in one size, so whoever made the first one, good job. the second one tasted good too but for 20 bucks I expect a little more. loved the music in the place, but the servers cant remember shit, I asked for a glass for my beer and she never brought it. I saw several peoples pies and they looked and smelled good, the owner is very friendly but that dont make up for the staffs forgetfulness. I would eat here again, just because it tasted so good. but they could definitely do some staff training as they never came back to ask if we needed anything else.

I went to the Humble Pie the first time ever last week with a date and had a great time. We were seated quickly and a waitress was with us really quickly. So quickly in fact, that two different waitresses tried to get us drinks. We ordered the 7-cheese Chicago deep dish and the waiter prompted us to upgrade to a 14-cheese pizza. It was great. I was on a date so although the wait time was long it wasn't unbearable. I'd highly recommend it, but check out the secret menu on their Facebook page!

Ambiance of the restaurant may feel authentic/charming to some, but I felt it wasn't that great (one step up from counter-ordering)...our server was decent, wait time was long but they warned us of that upon ordering a deep dish pizza...pizza itself was quite amazing. Reheated well also. I am glad they served alcohol, even though it was just beer. I would get it to go the next time.

I have been to Chicago and I experienced the rapture that comes from deep dish pizza. Going to Humble Pie I did expect Giordano's but I was hoping for a pie like we used to have at My Pie many years ago. What i got was a dough lovers pizza. Considering I don't eat much bread I guess the good thing was I got a month's supply in one personal pizza. Now I would do a disclaimer, I got the lunch pizza, but other than the sauce which was pretty good, I experienced a total imbalance of ingredients. If you are going to do deep dish this is crucial, otherwise it is like eating a sandwich with nothing but the bread. On a positive note, the young lady who waited on us was eager to be helpful, and the spinach salad was good. The atmosphere was average to fair, but when it comes to food I don't care if they use duct tape to cover the holes in the windows, I will forgive anything for a savorty taste treat. Deep dish pizza lovers, this is not Chicago, and I would save my time for placer like The Wedge or although I am not a fan, Hideaway is better.

First off, we lived in the Chicago metro area for 12 years and ate at Pizzeria Uno, Due, Giordano's, Geno's, and Lou Malnati's often over the years. This doesn't measure up, but it's tolerable "Chicago-style". Had deep-dish with Canadian Bacon and green peppers. Best part about the pizza is the crust - nice and buttery, but not as good as Lou's. Not enough of the other toppings, though, certainly not enough to justify the $1.50/$2.00 extra per topping! Too much cheese and dough, not enough sauce and not nearly enough Canadian Bacon or peppers. Canadian Bacon was ground - blech, why even bother putting it on in that case, not nearly enough taste or texture. What is with ground Canadian Bacon here in OKC? We've eaten it on pizzas all over the USA and this is the only place we've ever had it ground (here and Jo's Famous Pizza) - just weird and gross! Wife had a spinach salad that was supposed to come w/bacon, but didn't. She said poppyseed dressing was really good and she'll get 2 containers of the dressing next time. Decent selection of beers (imports and domestics that were not crappy 3.2 beers). From what we saw of the NY-style pizza, you'd be better off at Falcone's. :-) Service is slow - only 2 waitstaff with about 8 tables full (and a couple of those tables had 6+ parties) on a Sat afternoon at 2:00. Can't handle that much business in a timely fashion with only 2 staff, and they did a barely passable job on keeping up.

Poor atmosphere it's just a mom and pop shop though so that's understandable. The deep dish pizza we had though was very fresh and good and the owner is very kind and generous. If I lived in Edmond I'd return more often.

This is honestly some of the best pizza I've had in the OKC metro area. I went a couple Saturdays ago right when they opened. Already quite busy, but the food didn't take too long, and it was wonderful. Highly recommend this place!

Maybe just a bad night but wait was beyond slow!! The deep dish was hot on top but everything inside was cold! The waitress did not care to make it right in anyway but offering a box to take it home, umm NO! The New York style was ok but Won't come back or recommend to anyone.

I have never wrote a review anywhere but am highly recommending Humble Pie!

Shared an amazing 3-meat calzone with the wife, who loved it as much as I did. And the winter shandy is pure magic!! 9.7% ABV and you just can't tell there's even any alcohol in it!

Great pizza. Service is always amazing. Because the pies take a while to cook, you can call in your dine-in order. Always a good experience. They also offer military discount. Totally worth the trip!

We loved this place. Tried it because of yelp and glad we did. I wish we had more time to order the deep dish (quoted 45 minutes) but with two kiddos we passed. Loved our New York style pizza though. Had a great conversation with the owner and felt right at home will be back for sure!

Best pizza in the area! Short and sweet. I like Upper Crust as well because of the "whole package" but Humble Pie is a "mom & pops" and that makes it more appealing. Their business hours are a bit too limited for a pizza place. Reasonable prices.

This is honestly some of the best pizza I've had in the OKC metro area. I went a couple Saturdays ago right when they opened. Already quite busy, but the food didn't take too long, and it was wonderful. Highly recommend this place!

Great Chicago style pizza! The crust was amazing! The only reason it didn't get 4 stars was because our server brought us the chilled glasses stacked. Don't let the location deter you. It's a very casual atmosphere.

Maybe just a bad night but wait was beyond slow!! The deep dish was hot on top but everything inside was cold! The waitress did not care to make it right in anyway but offering a box to take it home, umm NO! The New York style was ok but Won't come back or recommend to anyone.

called around looking for gluten free pizza. this place said they had it. we ordered and went to pick it up, the box seemed small to me, and I would call it a small but it only comes in one size and I guess its medium.

Incredible pizza, the best in Edmond. The sauce is incredible. The Chicago style does take 40 minutes to bake, as listed on the menu. While that can be a pain, it's totally worth it. I've never had a bad experience there. The pizza is great, but so are the side salads.

Serious pizza here.

want to know what makes me crazy? Some dork from Purcell or Taipei who knows absolutely NOTHING about pizza, especially Chicago style pie, gets on here and whines about how the "pizza didn't look like I thought it would" or "it took too long to cook". What?!?!? Go eat a hot pocket or a Blimpie sub from the Wal-Mart food court, you hick. This place has the best Chicago style pie in all of Texas OR Oklahoma. Be glad they let you in, Gomer!

Best pizza in the area! Short and sweet. I like Upper Crust as well because of the "whole package" but Humble Pie is a "mom & pops" and that makes it more appealing. Their business hours are a bit too limited for a pizza place. Reasonable prices.

  • Timothy D.

While not quite a true Chicago deep dish, it's about as close as you'll find around here and still quite tasty.

Luckily, I got the chance to try this recently and oh man! This is some seriously delicious pizza. I got the supreme deep dish, and was mad when it was gone. Crust was flaky, ingredients were fresh. You need to eat here.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
