The best bubble tea in the Oklahoma City . I love it a lot.and the sushi is very good too. I'm living in Tulsa but I will drive to Okc every months or every two weeks just for the bubble tea and the sushi.

Great place for mediocre asian food. I'm a huge fan of sushi and the sushi here just wasn't up to par. They are poorly made and served in smaller portions than any other competitors in town. The bubble tea is decent and that's about all that is good about this place. Overall the food isn't worth the price they charge. But the service is great. The people there are always friendly.

i got the basic drink was cream tea w boba and realized that they used cream tea powder for this ( i am a bubble tea master (; ) . Everything was okay, not really impressed. There are lot ofs better bubble tea shops in Okc than this.

Me, before 8:00 PM in Edmond thinking about Cafe de Taipei: "Meh. Nah. I'll go somewhere else for tea and sushi." Me, after 9:00 PM in Edmond: "Hmm. Cafe de Taipei, sounding pretty good right now." Me, after 11:30 PM in Edmond: "Nothing else good is open! Cafe de Taipei is the best place ever!!" I give allllll their boba and tea drinks four to five stars. But for their sushi, more like two stars. A safe bet, if you are wanting to eat here, are the rolls. Most of the staff know how to make the rolls. The sushi rice will be subpar, the ingredients may be not so great at times, but the rolls are a good bet at getting something decent. When you stray from the rolls, it goes downhill quickly. One time, I asked for the hand rolled salmon special and I ended up with a piece of nori filled with sloppily chopped salmon and a half cup of mayonnaise. Like, it was literally dripping mayonnaise. There were a few loose clumps of rice. Weirdness. Stick to the regular old Americanized rolls and you will succeed. And everything just tastes better after 10 PM, so go for a late night snack.

This review is for the boba(or bubble) tea only. Coming back home to Edmond from California, my expectations are pretty high. This place is the best place in Edmond for boba teas. Their boba is better than the other places. I highly recommend it.

Swung here for a quick evening snack. Ordered a few sushi rolls and milk tea. Rolls were well rolled (rice didn't fall out, perfect amount of ingredients, and tasted pretty fresh). Milk tea had the right sweetness along with the flan add-on was delicious! I would like to return to try other sushi rolls.

Mediocre sushi and yummy boba tea. The place has really odd hours. The servers are all really young and nice. Be sure to call before you go for their closings and get a stamp card from them for bonuses!

I was looking for a place that sold Boba tea and found this little cafe. I was impressed with the huge selection of flavors! I tried the Almond tea cream and loved it. I ordered the Taipei sushi and it was ok. It's a great place for Boba tea but not the food.

Food is decent. Milk tea with BOBA is phenomenal. Service is the slowest, most inefficient service I've ever experienced. I understand there is a language barrier, but we went in and ordered calamari as an appetizer and it took 30 minutes. It took 45 minutes before we got our milk tea and an hour before we got our sushi. It's not a big place and people that arrived thirty minutes after we arrived had eaten and left before we even got our food. It was quite frustrating. At the end of the meal we got the bill and it was ridiculously over priced. I have been here before and it wasn't bad, but I will NOT be back. I recommend staffing a waiter who can communicate a bit better with customers. I would also recommend that there be more staff preparing the food because the wait time is just unacceptable.

I find the price is too pricey for the food I received. it is good but too pricey. For the price I am paying for a plate of sushi and a boba tea (17dollars), I would rather go to a proper restaurant.

Bubble tea are reallllly similar to the ones in taiwan. Definitely recommend any of their drinks. Ivan is a nice server.

Food is good, but the reason to come here is for the authentic bubble tea. Would you be surprised to learn that the authentic bubble tea is in Oklahoma and not actually in Washington, D.C.? I was. Also, the Taiwanese pop music was entertaining. PS: But seriously, message me if you know of any amazing places to get bubble tea in DC. Everyone here thinks it's a smoothie. Cafe de Taipei proved to me it's not just a smoothie!

Great bubble tea & smoothie selection, and surprisingly delicious sushi. I really like the Taipei roll and my staple milk black tea with boba drink. Nice, chill atmosphere and friendly service.

It's a nice place to go to if you're in the area and want to grab a drink or a snack, but nothing too special. There are other places around town I'd rather go to, but if you're in the area check it out they have pretty decent food and drinks!

OK. All these reviews are ridiculously outdated. Within the past year, Cafe de Taipei came under new management and revamped their menu to offer a decent selection of sushi. While retaining their extensive selection of boba/bubble/milk teas, they're removed all Taiwanese dishes from their menu. If you're a sushi fan, you're in for a real treat. If you're not, well, there are always gyoza to keep your munchies at bay. I'm a huge sushi fan and so Taipei's new menu offerings work completely in my favor. My friends.. well, not so much. Although I do miss quite a few of Taipei's old Taiwanese dishes, it is what it is. While their sushi menu does not offer a wild selection of rolls laden with heavy sauces and ingredients piled upon ingredients like other "Asian fusion" sushi bars, it does offer a few notable choices. I always recommend the Taipei roll (calamari topped with spicy mayo and crawfish) and the Volcano roll (california rolls topped with spicy scallops). The basic spicy salmon roll is another go-to favorite of mine. It's cheap and satisfying. The vibe of Taipei is extremely casual. The decor is very minimalistic and almost non-existent. It's really the ideal setting for a college-aged crowd. It's not the largest restaurant with a total of 6 tables, each seating up to 4-5 people. The service is top notch. The staff is incredibly friendly and the sushi chef always has something to suggest. While no longer open until late 2am from Thursday - Saturday (now up until 1am), Taipei is a great late night spot for cheap sushi and great bubble tea.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Decor & Setup: 3/5 Great place! Here's why: - awesome Asian atmosphere. Customers always seem happy there. - staff is real friendly except for one lady =) - Good food (and lots of it) for decent price - Smoothies are great with variety - open till 2 am Thursday - Saturday, which is a great place for a lot of college kids to hang out late. one of very few places open late in Oklahoma city metro! - A definite hang out place to talk and be loud if you want. - Appetizers and food menu all mostly great. Your typical Asian dishes with a few surprises. Popcorn chicken is good. And the Taiwanese style sandwich is my favorite, only i think they may not sell it anymore! Why I didn't give it a 5 out of 5: - Since it is one of the few places open till 2 am, it gets pretty crowded at night and seats are limited - The restaurant seems kinda old, it doesn't have your new modern look, so things may not be renovated in a while. - No WI FI, so not a study homework place - They got rid of my Taiwanese style sandwich!!!!

This is the most confusing place! LOL, seriously. They have the best bubble tea and the sushi is excellent too (and priced nicely). It's a dive...meaning, you don't want to plan a date or night out with the boyfriend/husband/partner/girls. It's a place to order your food and take it to go. They do have a few tables. I have had my sushi there (vs take out) but it's bizarre. Very simple. Minimalistic. I like the staff. They are cute and friendly. I'm not sure if they are to everyone but I enjoy them. I do recommend trying Cafe De Taipei but don't be expecting a fancy place! Great food and bubble tea! Oh! I almost forgot. They have strange hours. They are open at night and close around 1am. Recently I tried to order sushi (on a Saturday night) and they were closed. I wasn't the only one sitting in the parking lot waiting for them to open. I'm sure this was an isolated case (something must have happened). But I would definitely call first if you're driving very far (to make sure they are open).

Pretty basic bubble tea and Asian snack joint. The bubble tea is mediocre, but the popcorn chicken, deep-fried calamari, and beef noodle soup definitely make up for it. The service is average and the location and decor is pretty average. Their sushi is also pretty legit. Conclusion - Subpar bubble tea, Great small plate dishes, soup, and sushi!

loveeeee this place! I'm glad to see that a lot of the Cali natives that have reviewed this place love it too. Us californians have high expectations when it comes to boba! Especially for me since I'm from the bay area. Anyways, my boyfriend and I come here almost every weekend just to get our boba fix. It's the only place around that serves REAL boba. Their sushi is pretty good too. My only complaint is that whenever I specifically asked for my taro to be lightly blended they do the exact opposite, They never have tapioca when we come, and their hours are kind of odd. But other than that, we love cafe de taipei!

AHH i used to go here all the time when I was back in Edmond. One of the few places in oklahoma where you can get your boba tea (bubbletea) fix! And a good bubble tea at that! I tried many flavors (strawberry, peanutbutter, kiwi, orange(? i think), and some more that I can't remember quite right now) and they were all excellent. I live in LA now but I still think Cafe De Taipei had one of the best bubbleteas around. I also think their popcorn chicken is to die for. It's really yummy! Also there was a huge variety in the menu (or there used to be... seems like they trimmed it down alot last time I went). I was sad to see they got rid of some stuff on the dish I had for a long time! I think they got rid of the boiled egg and some other element of the dish and I remember being like 'where's mah egg??' Of course this was around 8 months ago so I don't remember what it was but the food cost the same (if not more) but the amount was less. :/ much sadness. The boba/bubbletea was still good as ever, although I feel really fat after drinking them haha. They are like a meal of their own. I remember when this just used to be an asian hangout and people used to stare at you if you were not asian... not so much anymore and this place is like packed at certain times of the day because its one of the few asian hang outs!

Decided to chill here for a bit. Had the Green Apple slush and was not disappointed. Didn't have any of the food, but it smelt good. Definitely recommend It in the Edmond area.
