This place is all-right. Came in for Monday Night Football, there was plenty of seating. Nice beer selection, although certain things listed on the menu they don't have. :( ( no pumking) Sat at a table with 5 other girls, the food was okay and much more reasonable than the beer, imho. Had the mac and cheese, it was good, made with task cheese and the mushrooms were a nice touch. ($13) The popcorn is also a really nice bar snack. Beers are somewhere between 7-9$ a pint. Asked what one of the beers was like, told it was a red ale, but it was really more of an IPA. They are on restaurant.com , so it makes it quite reasonable. I'd come back if in the area.

The many comments about this place never being crowded makes sense. The beer selection is excellent, but expensive (e.g., $9 for a pint of Southern Tier Pumpking). Food is subpar to mediocre. The space is characterless. We wouldn't have stayed if we weren't famished after an extra long drive from Boston because of poor weather. To the food. If the burgers are truly made with Pat La Frieda beef, something went wrong. The patty was slider sized (maybe 4 oz.), overcooked and bland. The pretzel roll was dense, but without crunch, chew or flavor. The fries were very good. Junior said his Bratwurst burger was decent, if a little greasy. My wife's Chopped Salad ($11) lacked protein -- no chicken, no ham -- and was heavy on the iceberg lettuce. Here is where diners need to be wary. I was initially charged $13 for the Tap House burger that was priced at $11 on the menu, and $14 for the Bratwurst burger that was $12 on the menu; a $4 overcharge. The server said those were dinner prices, apologized and went to correct the charge. After a pretty long wait the new check came back with the correct price for the Brat, but the burger charge was $12, not $11. At this point, I just wanted to go. Honest mistake on the house's part (I don't for a minute think it was our server)? System error? Who knows? But check your check carefully. $80 with tip for this experience hurt. This place was a go-to for Friday happy hours, and still remains a convenient location. The drinks are not horribly expensive considering it is Tribeca and everything in the area is definitely NYC-level expensive. The specials are $5 craft of the day and house wines, with cocktails running higher at around $7+. The draft selection is good, and the place is never too crowded except for when there are competing groups. The post-work crowd is a mishmash of classic corporate people from across the street to a few people who come in for a drink from wherever, running the gambit from grad students to other trendy Tribeca types.

A great spot to drop in for a quick, not too expensive lunch and cocktail... Sweet potato fries are slamming and the craft draft selection is excellent.

One word - overpriced. We decided to switch up our Tuesday night post-volleyball rituals and strolled into the suspiciously empty Tribeca Tap house. Good music was playing, but only from two of the 10 wall-mounted speakers they had set up. In stark contrast to the consistently comfortable (and CHEAP) Read Street Pub, I was shocked to see cheap domestic pitchers starting at $20, sandwiches for $14 and up, and two anemic fish tacos for $10. For a place that brags about their craft beer selection, it was equally surprising to see a bunch of dusty old growers lined up above the bar back, not getting any action/turnover. After a round of food that garnered lukewarm reaction from my teammates, our non-smiling server Tom started talking up the donuts dessert, only to come back five minutes after we ordered them to tell us they ran out...He was nice enough to bring us a complimentary pitcher instead. A nice gesture, but not one that'll make me any bit more eager to return, especially when everything here costs 30-40% more than it should.

Tribeca Tap House NY: Manhattan: Tribeca 8:30pm Sunday 15th September 2014 Three Stars The place was not that busy probably because there were no New York games currently on. I met my new friend Anna here and we sat a table near the bar. I had a Saison to start and she had a chardonnay. We tried to order food with the waitress but she seemed really busy and asked us to order at the bar. I tried ordering at the bar and bartender wanted us to order with the waitress. I explained the situation and she took our order. It was her first night so her menu knowledge wasn't perfect. However, the owner was here to help her out. I ordered a medium rare burger with Mushrooms, American cheese, and Fried Egg. The Burger was well done and smaller than pretzel bun. There was no Egg but whatever. The Fries were great - Crispy, Chewy, Starchy, and Delicious! We also ordered Cobb Salad. The Lettuce was fine; the Eggs were borderline overcooked, there was a lot of avocado, some decent chicken, and a bit of bacon. The place cleared out about half time of the SF v. Chicago game. So we left as well. Not the best first impression but overall a fun time.

Found this place online and decided to give it a try. Met my husband there and he told me it used to be the Pig and Whistle. It has since improved greatly! It's new, clean and well lit. The happy hour drink specials are pretty good, as is the food. Lots of suits from Citigroup come in, so it's "that" kinda crowd, but nothing that should deter you. Give it a try!

beer sucks. food is good though. atmoshphere is bland. the lighting sucks. just isnt what it used to be when it first opened.

Awful awful service time and time again. I keep coming back like an idiot because they have a good salad here but I can't flag someone down and am minutes from being late back to work as I'm on lunch. So annoyed, last time here that's it for this place.

Restaurant.com voucher available! Wings are tastefully spicy! Spring rolls with cornbeef was pretty bomb! Got the stout and IPA burger which was good, fries were awful though. My friend's turkey club was tasty but what made her dish amazing was the sweet potato fries. So crisp, so plentiful.

  • Joe S.

I don't mind it here. We've always had fine service. The prices are a bit $$$, but they do have specials time to time like free mussels with a bucket of beers. Come here with a small group of men after work to watch sports and guzzle beer. Seems like that's what others do.

The food, beer selection and great attentive service is my main reason behind my 5-star rating. We had a $50 gift certificate, and we used it on a nice bucket of beer and several awesome dishes including the turkey club and the seared ahi tuna. The turkey club was delicious and went down great with some overly hoppy bottles of brewski. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing, and we got pretty tipsy. The waitress was very friendly, and definitely cared about her job. Definitely come here for great beers and good food.

I found a new lunchtime destination in Tribeca! Hello, Tribeca Tap House. I love this place, friendly staff, reasonably priced food, great atmosphere, I'm impressed. I stopped by for lunch today with a friend. We had walked past the Tap House a few timed before and were intrigued by the menu. Today it's our destination. We arrived shortly after noon and the place thankfully was not overwhelmingly crowded. I like the layout of the restaurant with a large community type table in the middle surrounded by a few large booths (for groups of 6+) and tables along the wall. The wait staff was super friendly and very accommodating. I have to say I was really impressed by their selection of reasonably priced lunch combos on the menu. How's this for options: For $12 you can choose from: Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich Grilled Salmon Wrap Pulled Pork Sandwich Roast Turkey Club Brisket Sandwich Grilled Chicken Sandwich BLT Grilled Salmon Wrap Bratwurst Burger or the Tap House Burger Awesome selection! I had the Brisket Sandwich which was served with cole slaw, bbq sauce, crispy shallots, and a pretzel bun. The combo also includes a choice of salad, handcut fries, or sweet potato fries AND a drink (iced tea, lemonade, or soda). My friend ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich which looked delicious. The Ahi Tuna is served medium rare, read that as pink in the middle. Also on the plate were wasabi mayo, soy ginger marinade, lettuce and red onion. The tuna was served on ciabatta bread. Oh and I have to mention we started our meal with an order of the Nachos with Grilled Chicken. Large portion size, very filling, very tasty, and very worth it! Plenty of tortilla chips topped with five cheese sauce, lime crema, jalapeno, pico de gallo, and guacamole. Highly recommended. This place is a great lunch time destination if you work in the area or even a light dinner destination. Sadly I didn't have time to sample the selection of beers which looked so good from a distance. I'll be back next time to try out the taps. Thanks Tap House for a great meal. See you soon.

Best sweet potato fries I've EVER had!!!!! And I've had a lot of sweet potato fries in my life!!! Waitress & bartender took on a large crowd with efficiency and a smile. The BLT was delish, but don't u dare order it w/o sweet potato fries. Dang I'm going to be thinking about those fries for a while! Tip: restaurant.com sells good voucher deals for this place!

I can't say better things about Tribeca Taphouse. Jaclyn planned a party for 40 co workers and did an amazing job. Not only was she there to meet and greet us but she made sure we were happy all night. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. Food and drinks both great. It was a super speedy to get the party setup and Jaclyn made sure we had the perfect package. I enjoyed working with Jaclyn so much I definitely plan on booking more parties with her and them outside of work.

Came here with a colleague after work (we work in the area). We originally wanted beer but she's from overseas and there are unique beer selections that neither of us was familiar with, so instead we each went with a glass of wine. She had a chicken sandwich with fries and enjoyed it. I had the salmon wrap with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were great, but the salmon wrap was a little salty. I should probably have gone with a burger (seems to be what everyone gets here), but wasn't in the mood for red meat. I had asked for a side of honey mustard and that helped to cut the saltiness from the sauce in the wrap. (It also is great with sweet potato fries!) I'll probably come here again for lunch or drinks but won't order the salmon again.

Amazing brunch, beer selection, and Bloody Mary bar. Great place for happy hour or weekend brunch. Very friendly and knowledgeable servers. Would definitely recommend and come back here. This place is the real deal when it comes to premium burgers, sandwiches & salads.

This place is amazing. Stopped in for a quick drink to charge a phone and ended up staying for hours. The bartender Olivia was probably one of the best I have ever had. She was personable and truly amazing. I'm not from the area and I plan on visiting again multiple times based on her service alone. A must for anyone in the area.

We stumbled in here to meet a group after running a 50k "fun run". Tired and exhausted it only seems logical to rehydrate with beer after running for 7 hours. It is a warm cozy space, and perfect for grabbing a beer and a snack on a cold November evening. The wooden booths and high top tables add to the coziness. There are TVs throughout the bar, but the volume is kept at a level where you can hear what is going on, but you can still carry on a conversation with your group. The beer list is exceptional, and I have to take a moment here to defend their pricing after reading some reviews. Tribeca Tap House carries a long list of craft beers. Yes some can be expensive such as the Southern Tier and Belgian offerings, but they aren't cheap anywhere. These beers can run $10+ for a 22oz bottle at any local liquor store, so $8 - $10 for a pint is not an unfair mark-up for a place offering such an extensive list and located in Tribeca. The service leaves nothing to be desired and the staff knows the beer list well. The food is good, nothing great enough to ramble on about, but more than suitable for a bar. The food isn't the main attraction though. Tribeca Tap House is a great spot to meet for beers and try some new craft offerings in a great neighborhood.

Two friends and I planned a private brunch at Tribeca Tap House for two friends who are expecting their first child. I've hosted and/or planned a fair amount of private events, and this, by far, was the worst service I have ever received from an event planner and staff. * First, the event planner, Jaclyn, was rude and miserable. Event planners at almost every other restaurant I've worked with are welcoming, warm and accommodating. She was miserable, disorganized and unprofessional. Her overall attitude put a damper on the afternoon. * We were told we could show up at 11 AM to begin set-up for a 12 PM start time. When we arrived in the room, it was a mess and not ready for us to begin set up at all. There was a baby shower the previous day, and leftover favors, bottles of wine and other odds and ends were scattered all over the room. Chairs were stacked on the tables, and the booths were dirty and covered with crumbs. If my husband and my friend's husband were not there, we never would have gotten that room ready in time. * We were also told that there were three TVs in the room, and that each could display either a slide show or a single picture if we had a USB memory stick. Not only did two TVs NOT have USB ports, but the staff couldn't get the third to work, and just gave up! * With regards to the pictures, I handed the memory sticks to Jaclyn at 11:30 AM. When I asked her at almost 12 PM why they weren't in the TVs, she told me that only one member of staff knew how they worked, and he was manning the bar upstairs, and he would be down when he was done serving customers. I'm sorry, but I'm paying you over $1000 to host a private event. Get him down here. * The bar was a MESS. First, none of the taps worked, so at a place called the Tap House, only bottled beer was available. Then, either a glass of red wine was spilled, or the sink in the bar leaked (didn't see which), but there was a puddle of red wine on the floor, and the father to be had to ask one of the staff for a mop! Furthermore, the event started at 12 PM, and we didn't have a bartender until 12:25 PM. * At the beginning of the afternoon, Jaclyn had a cash box and a table outside. She started collecting money, and then became the bartender and had no one take over for her. So we're running around, trying to figure out who paid, and who didn't, because halfway through, there was no one to take money! Which made settling the contract a nightmare (see below). * The food service was terribly slow. The dishes didn't come out until almost 1:30 PM, and the penne vodka was extremely al dente, bordering on undercooked. * Settling the bill and the contract was a complete and utter disaster. Apparently, Jaclyn is relatively new to the job, and when we first we working with the Taphouse, and their previous event planner, they agreed to lower the minimum spend from $1500 to $1000. She initially insisted that the minimum spend was $1500. Furthermore, some people weren't able to make it at the last minute (sick kids, family emergencies, etc.), and she was also saying that we had to pay for the no-shows. You are NOT a wedding venue (believe me, I know the difference, since I only got married 6 months ago). As long as we hit the minimum, which we did, just re-adjust the contract. * To add insult to injury, since she wasn't on top of people paying, she insisted that we came up two people short, so I needed to make up the difference. Given that you and your staff were unaccommodating and disorganized, the bar had no draft beer, and the food service was slow, wouldn't you MAYBE consider giving us a discount? Nope! So, I paid $82 for mystery guests. I will NEVER go back to the Taphouse again for a private event. I was beyond disappointed.

Not bad, not great, just a place to grab a quick drink with friends. The bar area always fills up before the tables so maybe that tells you something about the food. I've only had drinks and bar food here and I've never had a problem. The clientele is mostly the after work crowd and a few locals. The bartenders are always nice so that is a good thing.

My wife and I love TriBeCa Taphouse. It's the perfect place to go for a beer, quick meal, or to watch a game. Miraculously, even though it's a nice, well kept place, it's never crowded. The food is all amazing and the beers are constantly rotated. Minus for this place is the service. The servers are nice, just don't work on New York time, so be prepared for a relaxed dining experience.

Olivia and Marc are the best bartenders in the city. Also can't stop thinking about the nachos.

The place seemed nice, the beer list was okay but the service staff really turned me off to this place. It started badly when I read the beer menu, requested a listed beer and the bartender snapped at me "We don't HAVE that!". Oh, my bad for reading something you put into my hands, assuming what was on there was an accurate list. I really should have known better. And then rather than "But if you like that, do you want to try a (fill in beer name here) or a (fill in another beer name)?" Nope, he just stood there and stared at me until he said "Do you know what you want?". Well, yes, I did but since you didn't have it I'm kind of stuck. In fairness, he was less surly as the night wore on, but I don't need to be attacked by you 30 seconds after I walk in the place because your beer list is out of date. I still left a $2 tip for every draft. Then the waitress...oh where to start. I'd seen her give attitude to my friends so I just avoided her at all costs and ordered at the bar. This scenario tells you all you need to know: Friend orders nachos. Takes forever. They come out ice cold...congealed cheese so if you try to pick one chip up the entire thing lifts off the plate. My friend politely asks if he can have them heated up. Not asking for a new order, just put them under the lamp to melt the cheese. Her response? Takes the entire plate, dumps them in the garbage and says "Nope, have to make a new order". It was like watching a four year old have a temper tantrum. I was almost surprised she didn't smash the plate on the floor after dumping the nachos. Oh, and the next set of nachos? Also cold. So can't tell you how they were since only about 2 chips were eaten. On the plus side, it's a cool space, the other customers seemed cool and it wasn't that crowded. Don't let me deter you. Check it out for yourself, you may like it. Note that many beers that you would expect to be served in a pint glass (an average IPA or a Pilsner...nothing over 6% ABV) are not. As for me, this just isn't the place for me. I'll stick to the places where the service staff doesn't act like they hate me the second I walk in the door.

My first time at this bar, I went in for drinks with a group. It wasn't crowded however the suits started to come. I wasn't sure why the waitress or bartender was a bit slow with service. Twenty minutes for four drinks to get to a table? Alright. We didn't ordered food, which would've been more understandable. Second time I actually tried their food. The mozzarella balls? Ohmygod, yum. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my friend had their short rib grilled cheese. The short rib grilled cheese was delicious. The atmosphere is nice and the place is pretty spacious. It's a tap house so they have pretty good varieties of beer. Takes credit cards. Four stars for the food, three stars for the snarkiness from the bartender on my second visit.

This place is great for happy hour! I came here to catch up with my girlfriend from college. She's a regular here and introduced me to the place. It's a cheap enough place in Tribeca, and it reminded us of how we all used to celebrate the beginning of the weekend in business school. It's too classy to be considered a dive bar, but this is definitely more of a beer place than a cocktail bar. It is a very fun and casual atmosphere even though we were all in our suited up work garb. It was packed and I know most of the people are here predominately from Citi. They have great specials and many seasonal flavored beers. Will come back just to chill and grab a cold one while watching a game! Not sure what it's like after happy hour though.

I've actually been here three times and that's now enough. Indifferent service, mediocre food and odd crowd for TriBeCa. On one of my visits two employees were having a loud negative chat about working there or with each other, while I waited at the bar to be helped and was ignored by the rest of the staff. Is there a frat nearby or is just the employees of Citibank that keep this place open?

This place was a great find! I was meeting a friend for dinner, but I got there early so I decided to wait at the bar. They have an awesome selection of craft beers on draught, so this is a great place for people like me who are always looking to try something new. I'd made a reservation for dinner, but that was definitely not necessary on a Tuesday because only the bar was crowded. I got the fried pickles appetizer, which was really good! Out of curiosity, I ordered the Bratwurst burger as my main course. The meat was too salty for me and the American cheese was a weird addition, but my sweet potato fries were really good. My friend got a regular cheeseburger and said it was awesome so I'll probably get that if we go back. Overall, I'd recommend it!

  • Ingemann N.

Went there a recent Sunday at lunch. At that time it was more a sports bar than anything else, and people came in to experience 'their' game, so the atmosphere was lively, but I wouldn't take my kids there for brunch. The craft beer selection was excellent and the sweet potato fries I had with my pulled pork sandwich, was probably the best I ever had. However, the sandwich itself was a little lacking. I would definitely come back for the beer and atmosphere.

Great local hang out to catch a game and a beer. Excellent beer selection. Lots of events going on. Good for a large group. The service is always friendly but SLOW. Food is decent. They recently changed their menu.

I jumped in here for a quick beer yesterday...and I wish I just left. The space has no feel to it, and there was only a couple of people in the whole place which is pretty big. The draught menu is OK the bottle menu is much better but the price are stupid. Really 9 for a Guinness ? I don't even drink it, but its definitely not worth that price. Most of the Belgian beers I liked were 14. No thanks I rather go to a real Belgian bar with some atmosphere and pay less . The bartenders just stood there looking at their phones pretty much the whole time.

Came here on a Thursday night around 6pm and there was an ample amount of suites and ties drinking by the bar. Proceeded to the table area and the waitress was talking to another waitress, they didn't even acknowledge me and by bf until I asked if I can sit anywhere. There was just another table filled with 2 customers, but after I asked she kindly said that we can sit anywhere we like. Ordered a flying dog winter ale which was good, but for $9 it is a bit pricey. After I ordered my drink, the table area filled with more people which I guess is the reason it took more than 20 minutes to serve beer. After she finally came back with my drink, we ordered the chipotle lime wings and the southern drumstick with sweet potato fries. The wings were juicy and tasty, but the southern drumstick was lacking in flavor and nothing to gush about. However, the sweet potato fries were crunchy and good! For dessert, we got the donuts which doesn't sound like much of anything. But believe me, if you have a sweet tooth, your losing out if you don't get it. The donuts come with chocolate and caramel sauce for dipping. I don't know what it is about their donuts and dip, but I would come back just for that, it's so delicious! Overall, 5 stars for the donut, 4 stars for the wings and fries, and 3 stars for the slow service.

This is definitely a popular spot for an after work happy hour. For some reason I didn't ask for specials but I hope they have some deals. They have a lot of beers on tap and the bartenders are pretty attentive and friendly. I had a couple beers and they were around $8 each. I think that's a bit pricey for a beer (should have asked for hh specials!). When I was getting my second beer, the bartender had the foam running over to make the head smaller-ok standard. What irked me though is he didn't bother to wipe off the glass afterwards. Thanks for the sticky glass?

Came here early on a Saturday night to grab dinner after a Bhangra dance lesson. It. Was. Dead. But I was able to enjoy the Serena & Li tennis match in peace. Winning! Their Mac & cheese is phenomenal! I had it for two meals thereafter the initial order, so it made a total of 3 meals for me. So much food! So cheesy, so flavorful, & so good. It made no sense. The atmosphere of the bar itself was chill. Even the bartender said its super quiet on Saturday nights. Oh, TriBeCa, you need more Saturday night activity. It is what it is...

We had a private event here for a friend's baby shower and although I did not organize the event- it was clear from my experience that the staff is not on point. The venue was dirty upon arrival, food was served an hour and a half after the event started, and the food was VERY lackluster and definitely not worth what we paid. In addition, as it came time to cut the cake and have coffee we had to chase down the staff to prep the dessert. We also brought our own champagne to do a toast and had to ask several times for the prep to happen around this (glasses and ice bucket be brought out). Our group of friends often does private events for different reasons all over Manhattan- this was the worst experience. Its a shame as the space was a good size and had it been a good experience we would have definitely used it again. We will NOT be returning.

This is a wonderful sports bar in Tribeca near Chambers Street. New York city has far too few of these places. The bar is a great place to sit and have drinks and a great meal. Don't miss the appetizers like the nachos and wings. Don't miss the new short rib grilled cheese sandwich with mushrooms. The staff is very friendly, and makes you feel at home. Try the fried pickles and the breakfast burger. You have to love a great bar with outstanding food.

Good selection of beer, friendly servers. This is a sports bar with good food and plenty of space. Clean setting with high ceilings. Several quality TV screens with excellent sound system. The food selection is better than most sports bars. Tacos, mac/cheese, salads plus the usual sliders and the like.

Don't come here!! Horrible customer service and they don't understand that the customer is right. Spinach artichoke dip was greasy. Fried calamari was rubbery. The waitress brought us the wrong beers and didn't want to admit that they were wrong. They have 8 TVs on and wouldn't show the Mets Yankees subway series. The manager Makayla was rude. She doesn't know what a manager should act like probably bc she is so young. The place has no real leadership.

One of the more spacious bars in Tribeca - even on a Friday night we tend to get a table or a decent amount of room for our after-work drinks. The beer selection is decent and the bar staff are always great fun. The food we usually get in the evenings - nachos & wings mostly - are terrific. I have however been disappointed at lunchtimes by the food standards - the burgers were mediocre and the fries were burnt within an inch of their lives. Overall however, a spacious bar you can actually hear yourself in, without it being totally dead. Good for sports, drinks, and a light dinner in the evenings.

This place was so-so in my book. Came here on a Tuesday for a friend's going away get together and found the place to be backed with fairly older crowd. Come to find out, there are two groups meeting (Nest Seekers and Citi Habitats), so we got a table in the back, where it was dead. The server seemed super busy, although, there weren't many tables filled. Luckily, we all had a lot to talk about, so we didn't really mind. When our food came, everyone agreed it was 'eh' - however, my friends who ordered the salads, enjoyed them. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich, which was definitely not my favorite. We had the Spinach Artichoke Bacon dip as an appetizer, which was super salty. Even the sweet potato fries were not great. I gave them two stars for the selection of beer. On an October evening, I was super pleased to find that they had a vast selection of pumpkin beers (my fav)! Want to know the WORST part? As we were paying our bill, our friend noticed a HUGE cockroach on the wall by the bathrooms. Immediately, we all became sick to our stomachs and wanted to get the hell out. Even with an "A" rating, we did not feel comfortable here any longer. I probably wouldn't come back to this place, unless I was going for the booze - and I would stay away from the bathroom.

All in all a good place. Fast and attentive service. Food was pretty good. Lots of beer on tap.Get the corn-breaded-fried pickles. Yum! There are a few simple things to make it a 4 or 5 star place. 1. The lighting. Went here on a Saturday night. It was bright. Seriously bright. My transition lens started to activate. Dim the lights like any other bar on earth. No need to see every crevice. 2. The menu. Yes you used a different font for everything and thought it was cute. It wasn't, and it just made me take 10 minutes longer to figure out what to eat. Also I couldn't figure out what was what. Were those appetizers on the top right or entrees? Are there just sandwiches? What kind of bread? The beer menu was straight forward, so why be so cute with the food menu? 3. Get rid of the weaker items. Lots of food was really good. The bratwurst sliders/burger was delicious. The aforementioned pickles. Fries were spot on salty and tasty. The deviled eggs were perfect. But the ribs were drowned in a plain sauce and the crab cakes were sub-par. Drop them from the menu! I'd actually go back and try some of the other stuff, but a place might not survive if they don't make every meal delicious.

I've been here multiple times and here's my take: PROS: Draft Beer's offer a selection, the appetizers are good and decently sized/priced (Fried pickles, nacho's and chicken fingers all good). There is seating in the back for larger groups, their booths fit 7-8 people, make a reservation or you'll never get one after work. CONS: it's crowded after work, it's loud (even when you're sitting). Their entree's are expensive and sort of small. I got the chicken milanese and the chicken was non-existent practically. Service is OK, never had a poor experience like some other yelpers mentioned. It's good for a few beer's after work and a small bite.

Good bar with a large selection of beers on tap. 90s music played and a mixed crowd - some here for a neighborhood bar, some for after work and others for red bull and vodka. Despite that, not a bad place to hang out.

First time I've ever been so motivated to speak out about a restaurant and dining experience that I created a yelp account solely for the purpose of posting this negative review. Quite frankly, the worst dining experience I have ever had start to finish. Twice, the wrong beer was brought to me, and our server had no knowledge of which beers were even available. Just saying that "sometimes the beers on the board aren't always in stock." It took them over 30 minutes to even change the TV from Ellen, to the Rose Bowl. Just to change the channel. I ordered a turkey club, no tomato, but the tomato was left on anyways. The turkey club was basically just crumpled up turkey stuffed in a pita, slathered with guacomole. The worst turkey club I have ever tried to eat. Another in our party ordered chicken tenders. They took over an hour just to get to the table. We split the check four ways, and it took another 45 minutes for the bill to be brought back to us for our signatures. At which time we discovered that the beers that were brought to me in error were still left on the bill. The restaurant is disorganized, the service is bad, and the food is honestly the poorest I've ever had at a sports bar. I went here every Sunday during football season for two years and the food and service have both gotten progressively worse. This bar restaurant is basically across the street from my apartment and so easy and convenient throughout football season and for all sporting events, which is why I am disappointed to say, but it is extremely necessary that I do, that I will never patronize this establishment again.

Had a great salad and burger at Tribeca Tap House the other night at the bar and a couple of beers. Loved our bartender Patrick. He was informative about the beers and menu. Definitely coming back.

Come here all the time for lunch because really in Tribeca where else can you get a burger, fries, and a soda for 12 bucks? The lunch special menu is really a great deal for the price and has a ton of different items on the list. And it's not even the price that's right it's the food... the burger is delicious and cooked perfectly and the fries are awesome. The place is quiet. The staff is friendly and they always have an afternoon sports game on to watch during your lunch break.

1st yelp review and a demanded one. 2 1/2 hrs for food to come out on a Sunday Afternoon. Watched the whole game 7 NBA playoff game and with 5 min remaining appetizers started to come out. Food was actually really good, but the mngt was worst I've experienced. When questioned about bill and unacceptable service, the mngr tried excuse after excuse rather than immediately admitting to fault and providing some sort of compensation. Would Not come back. Update: waitress was great and eventually comp'd a 14 person bill, but mngt should be prepared - ultimately still no excuse.

Great beer selection, TVs everywhere, friendly bartenders. But a LOT of financial types if you're there on a weekday. So if that's not your scene, you might not want to be here. Deceivingly large restaurant area too.

I came here for happy hour specials and loved how big the space was. High ceilings, really long bar that can fit like 30+ people around it, and lots of table space in the back. They have a lot of craft ales at reasonable prices. If you love chips and guacamole dip like me then you have to try it here - it is so fresh and tasty. I don't normally venture to Tribeca too often but this place seems like it could get crowded for a big sports events because they have large TVs at each end of he bar. The bartender is very friendly and attentive. This place did quickly fill up after work with what appeared to be some group of college students interning at probably some corporate office nearby. They all ordered bud light and were so pumped that they were finally 21 and were able to sip on the finest of cheap beers and feel important in an upscale-ish type atmosphere. Beware of these people.

Ideally suited for checking out a game and drinking Palm. Palm on tap = yes, please. Also had a few other intriguing tap selections. Slider board had good flavor, but sliders themselves were too small and a little overcooked. Good idea, good ingredients, needs work on execution. Would that stop me from coming back here? No sir, it wouldn't. This place has a lot of potential. I hope they keep working through the kinks! The inside is HUGE and wasn't crowded, even during a Rangers game. What's that? Nobody watches hockey? Touche, young paddawan...touche.

Good atmosphere. Foods pretty good. Good selection of drinks, but 3/4 times i've been here someone in my group (and me) has had to "reorder" because they didn't have anymore particular beer or drink.

Decent beer selection plus a ton of big TVs for watching all different games. There is a room for private parties downstairs and a big back room with large tables and booths. All the servers were really nice and attentive. I didn't eat that much but the wings I tried were decent. I would agree with Paul D that the overall decor could have a bit more character. There is a lot of potential here but I think with some specials and maybe something else to set it apart might make it a lot better.

  • Paul D.

Was here for a catered event downstairs. Well organized. Obviously I cannot comment on the menu as it was catered, but the food was nice quality and the staff were very pleasant. I would just recommend that the private room downstairs be considered for a makeover. It needs to feel a little 'warmer' overall. The room was a thoroughfare for the staff passing between the kitchen and the storeroom. Not a horrible place, but needs to find its niche and make it shine.

A spacious bar in Manhattan! Amazing! Tasty drinks and yummy bar food. The nachos are delicious. I can't speak to the pricing as I wasn't paying the night we visited, but my husband and his workmates come here often after work and seem to really like it. Compared to a lot of the other bars in Tribeca that we've gone to, this one is head and shoulders above and I'm looking forward to going back.

Making the move from Midtown to Tribeca I had some concerns as to what my lunches would now be like, but those concerns have quickly been squashed by the quality I've found down here, and Tribeca Tap House is hanging out at the top of that list, with a few others. Although it's certainly a bar, don't come in here expecting typical bar food. I'm a big believer in when in Rome, do as the Romans, but you can loosen that up when it comes to placing your order here. You shouldn't avoid the chicken milanese baguette, arancini, truffle popcorn or ricotta gnocchi because you're in a bar and are terrified as to what may come out. At the same time, you can't go wrong with any of the bar staples like sliders, wings, mac and cheese or grilled cheese. And their fries, one of my favorites, I'd be perfectly content to sit there with just a tub of those. They have a lunch special for $13 that includes a handful of the above, and $3 beer or wine with your lunch if you're so inclined to have a cocktail or two before heading back to the office. They have a peach chardonnay that goes down way too easy. And as someone who has a considerable wine cellar, trust me, that wasn't easy to say. Actually, forget about the wine cellar, I'm pretty sure I should get fitted for a bra for suggesting such a drink. The atmosphere is great at lunch, choice of a few booths and a number of tables, and the place is expansive. But I actually struggle to understand why it is so empty, and yet you go up the block and some other places are 75% full and on the cramped side at that. Granted, as long as they get the evening bar crowd (which they do), they don't really need lunch to generate much revenue, but it still baffles me because the food is great and $13 is more than competitive. The staff is much better now. Earlier on there was one particular waitress that could have used some training, but we haven't seen her in about a year so that seemed to work itself out. The lunch waitress that is there now more than makes up for any of her predecessor's shortcomings. Never had any issues with the bartender that's there during lunch, she's great. I planned a party here for a work event last April/May and the gentleman that assisted definitely worked with us. They have a private room downstairs that worked out nicely. So if you're in need of some space to throw a shindig, I would check them out.

OMG the mushroom Mac & cheese is hands down amazing! Easily the 2nd best Mac & cheese I've ever had (lobster Mac being #1 from another place) and the disco fries where awesome! Now what holds me back from giving this joint 5 Stars is purely based on the fact that we ordered nachos and for 5 extra bucks added guacamole. Which when the food was brought out was like 1 midget scoop of gauc! Also they did the same thing with the fries when we added bacon for 2 additional bucks and got 2 strips of bacon, NOT cool lol! But I would definitely go back and just hold off on the silly overpriced additions!

The best things this place has going for it would be (1) it's in Tribeca so the crowd will be generally less douchey, (2) the people are pretty friendly. For example, last night, met a few new people there while watching the Giants-Tigers World Series game and (3) lots of craft beer on tap (4) the fried pickles, (5) really nice bartenders. In terms of the cons, one quickly comes to mind (1) the Poutine wasn't that good. I''m, of course comparing it to the best I've had in Montreal but hey, if you're going to have Poutine, make it good! Overall, this is a much better spot for me compared to say, Pourhouse in the East Village. If you're in the area, it's a good choice. TIP - ScoutMob has a 50% off deal for this place. Check it out!

This is a great bar with yummy food in a fantastic location. I had the veggie burger which was awesome, my husband really liked his burger, and the fried pickles were greasy, but super tasty! My husband and I are flaky and often leave things at bars. We left a backpack full of important things and electronics there and the next day it was safe and sound, waiting for us to pick it up. This place gets the full 5 stars from me because of this as well :)!

Having come from the best beer-drinking City, Philadelphia, we were anxious to find the beast places to find craft beer in Manhattan. The Tribeca Tap House delivers with a solid draft list and great bar food as well! We ordered the sliders and I thought it was pretty cool that you could order individual sliders, rather than committing to just one. We also got the nachos, which were awesome. They were different from other nachos because the cheese was more of a white chedder - like Smart Popcorn. It was perfectly layered, too. I would definitely come back. However, if they had a Yards or Victory on tap, I'd come back more often...

Nice selection of beers. Staff could be a wee bit more attentive particularly at the bar, but not bad. Spacious room but not much in the way of seating - either at the bar or at one of the booths that line the walls. Basically, it's just a room in which to drink beer. Though they have plenty of televisions I wouldn't call it a sports bar, although I wasn't there on a game day. Still a good place to quaff a few and meet friends.

Came here the other night for dinner. Definitely not a place to go just for a dinner because it's 100% a sports bar, but I expected as much going in. Great selection of beer. Also, had a cute menu on the table which were game day dogs. They had created a different hot dog for each football team, perfect for a game. We started by ordering nachos. They were delicious!! However, they were expensive for nachos and I'm always a little unhappy when they don't come with guac and I can only get a big side for $5. My friend got the Tap House burger, he enjoyed it. I ate some of his french fries and they were good. I however had the mac and cheese. The menu promised mushrooms and truffle oil, there were neither. The mac and cheese tasted like your standard mac and cheese out of a box which you can make yourself at home, but worse. I ate about two bites, really inedible. Good thing I enjoyed the nachos. As for the "ambiance", I liked it. I kept thinking this would be a great place to watch a game. I would have like the tvs to be a little bigger though but that didn't really change my feeling about it as a sports bar. Overall, seems like a great spot as a sports bar, but stay away from the mac and cheese. Also, I thought the food was overpriced as it's really nothing special and not a place I would assume people go to for its food.

Cute bar with a chill vibe. Nice lounge-y atmosphere but I definitely wouldn't tout it as a tap house. The beer selection consisted of popular favorites but nothing microbrew related or exotic.

STAY AWAY. This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to review somewhere that I have not been, but the way they treated my friends and I is just awful. We used Opentable right after the Giants win on last Sunday to make two reservations for 8 people to watch both playoff games this coming Sunday. Two days later (and after all other bars in the area were booked up), we received a message stating that if we wanted to stay for the second game, we could keep the table for a $50 per person minimum. We called to clarify (as we just assumed they weren't aware that we had a second, separate reservation for the second game). Not only did they tell us that we still have the $50 per person minimum, but we were told that the minimum would ONLY be for the second game. This (ridiculously high minimum) was not advertised on their website or mentioned on Opentable. While the woman answering the phone was nice, her manager would not budge. While they probably think they can get away with this because it is playoffs, they have permanently lost our business.

good place to hangout... they have some good beers on tap the food here is not bad either and it's well decorated... I'm a bit disappointed that not many people come here for weekend nights though.. it's not very packed on Fri or Sat nights

I came here for a gtown basketball game in the winter and enjoyed my experience but think it has a lot of room for improvement. its a brand new space thats sparsely decorated and not very cozy. It has two floors with a more private area downstairs that I think can be rented out for your viewing pleasure. The upstairs is huge and was tightly packed during the game (as it is a georgetown affiliated bar) and was fun to catch up with old friends while having a beer.

Food had good flavor, if not necessarily well executed. The chipotle lime wings had a great flavor, with a pronounced spiciness that wasnt overwhelming. Too bad the wings were really dry. The mussels were pretty good and the fries were well prepared, but they Wouldn't have brought them out if i hadn't pointed out that it came with the mussels. Beer selection was pretty good. +1 star for airing Georgetown games.

4 stars for the location, beer selection. and staff. This place has it all! Great location, awesome beer selection. Great bartenders and staff. I did not try the food but the menu looks appealing. With all of these perks, why is it so vacant? I truly hope this place makes it, because I would enjoy going back and sampling more of their beers. They even have Palm! If its still around in a few weeks, Ill go back and order some food.

Granted I went here within the first couple of weeks of opening but I could not have been more disappointed with the service. 3 of us ordered and the 1st person received their appetizer and main all at once while they forgot about the other 2 orders. The salad was drenched in dressing - shame on me for ordering a salad at a tap house but the burger was mediocre as well. Although a limited menu, the food at The Hideaway is much better than here.

Great clean, new space in Tribeca. Beer and snack specials during games ($15 Bud light pitchers and half off wings/nachos). Come here to watch most Georgetown games as its Georgetown affiliated. Great for game watches as there is plenty of seating and a lot of big TVs. The new menu is a nice change from the first couple of months (food was just ok then). Big improvements in the quality of food. The menu is more upscale bar food. Also have a smaller brunch menu. Recommend the wings and fries. Service is friendly although can be a bit slow during big games. Hoping this spot keeps improving!

A giant location. It would be the prime place to check out the big game. It had a good selection of beers on tap, including Palm. I was there for lunch so i checked out the pulled pork sandwich. It looked great but tasted "meh". A good place to get a few beers and watch the game but i wouldn't venture much further than that..

Well needed sports-centric bar in Tribeca - in the old Pig and Whistle spot on Greenwich. Just opened last Tuesday (11/8) so they are still working out some kinks - ie, no brunch menu yet, one of the TVs didn't work, etc. Went in on Sunday for wings and football. When we got there at 12:30, we were pretty much the only people in there, but it got much more crowded as the day wore on. (including a random Wanda Sykes sighting - she sat next to us and was a pretty vocal Saints fan) The decoration was a bit sparse and they could use more TVs if they want to be a true sports bar. The din became loud as the placed filled up - it's got kind of a loft feel (high ceilings, open set up) so it gets a bit echo-y, even when crowded. The food was pretty good, we stuck to apps. We had short rib empanadas - quite tasty, sliders - buffalo, crab cake and pulled pork - all pretty good, and wings. The wings weren't the best, but good enough on a sunday afternoon. The entrees sounded pretty fancy for a sports pub, but pretty pricey as well. Then again, it's Tribeca, so that's to be expected. The service was ok - we had a really nice waitress but for some reason the drinks took quite awhile each time we ordered one, even before it got crowded. The place is brand new though, so I give them a pass on that - for now. I'll definitely go back - mostly because it's better and less crowded than Mudville 9 for football sundays, but also to try the entrees - and hopefully it creeps up towards a 4 star place as they get their feet under them.

Went here for a friends graduation party on a Saturday night. The place was pretty nice in that it was very spacious. The music they played was my style as well. The bartender was extremely friendly. Although he shorted me in giving me change at one point but it was an honest mistake. Otherwise my only complaint was the creepy waiter. We were a party of about 15 and the waiter was throwing chairs everywhere and forcefully pushing chairs between people?! He also kept asking us in an annoying way every 2 minutes if we wanted drinks. As if people would change their mind so fast. Also where we sat originally it was steaming hot. Overall a very nice, spacious place I'd come to for a drink again, but not a large get together.

    (3)
  • Jeffrey K.

I agree with the other reviewers. Tribeca definitely needed more sports bar options and so we got one. The space is nice and open, fresh and new. The reason why it didn't score higher is that they still have work to do. One TV didn't work, the game sound is too low, there were no hooks under the bar to hang coats (which is important for the winter), and most importantly, food portions were small. While clearing our plates, I wasn't going to say anything but the server was looking for feedback so I told her that the portions are a bit small. She replies, "Well, that's why they're called small plates." Not your friendly neighborhood bar-type service but it's another option.

Man, I hope this place gets better. Mainly because I live one block away and it would I would like to actually go there again. But as of now, it sucks. The waitstaff is AWFUL. They literally did not do one thing right. Waited forever to take our order, got 2 of our drink orders wrong (Beer and bloody marys- real tough ones to remember). We ordered nachos (don't bother, they are gross) and she brought them out with no side plates, napkins, etc. She said she would be right back with them and 10 minutes later our manners (and shame) were gone and we just picked off the plate. Finally I walked up to the bar and got napkins and plates for us. Of course, our food came out wrong as well and the ultimate crappy waitress move, all our meals were brought out while one person (me) sat and watched everyone eat for 10 minutes until my meal finally came out. I think they just plucked her off the street and asked her to try and wait tables for a couple hours to kill time. Also- for lame, average food- it is completely overpriced. $16 for a burger? No thanks. The ambiance and acoustics are terrible. Ugly big room, everything echos. If I could give this place zero stars, I gladly would. Go to Tribeca Tavern or Hideaway instead!!

I've been here 4 times and won't be back. I know they are new and have kinks to work out, but they don't seem to really care so I have no confidence improvements will be made. They claim to be a gastro-pub yet the food is just your basic pub food, nothing inventive on the menu. Of the 4 times I've been there, I only got what I ordered once and even then the quality was poor. The waitstaff made no attempt to correct the kitchen's mistake, just looked at my food and said, 'Well, they must have been out of that dish". Are you serious? There is a good selection of beer, and I'd go back just to watch a game and have a beer if the bartender had any personality at all. Far better food options at The Hideaway and FAR better bartenders.

My husband and I went here last Friday before seeing a concert at Hudson River Park. We really enjoyed it! We just sat at the bar and the service was great. Did not sit in the dining area, so I can't comment on the service there. By 7pm there was a pretty large crowd and it was getting loud, but nothing you would not expect on a Friday night. We had an order of nachos and the Chicken Milanese Baguette- both were yummy and large portions. I tried the TapHouse Pinot Grigio and was surprised that it was decent for a house label wine. Overall, I thought the prices were good- especially considering the neighborhood. Also, the place, including the restrooms, was very clean. I would definitely go back if I was in this neighborhood again.

The best thing Tribeca Tap House has going for it is its setup for games. Both the bar and the dining area are arranged to let everyone view the action. They also have a great selection of beers on tap. I stopped in to get some brunch fare and watch a couple games. I decided to get a bloody mary (pretty good but nothing special and a bit on the small side) and a crab cake eggs benedict. I couldn't bother with the food here. From what I can extrapolate from the one meal I had, I'm picturing the rest of the menu as relatively bland and overpriced. Stick to the bar and the beers and come on gamedays and you should be good

I just got around to going back to Tribeca Tap House. The Giants game was on so the place was packed but we were still able to snag a couple of seats at the bar. Beer selection is still good although I think it skews more on the beers you'd want to buy a pitcher of rather than true craft beers. Menu, I noticed, got revamped, and makes more sense (they used to have mussels, but you can't order fries. fixed but it's more expensive). We ordered the white bean dip and it was pretty tasty.

accidentally i stumbled in this bar with a friend that works at citibank across the street. whomever the bartender was ; she is in the wrong business. very rude and kurt with customers. drinks are not bad but the place lacks energy. no reason to go back here unless you happen to be walking by.

Visited this place on a Sunday night, and will never return. 1) There were 6-7 other customers in the entire place, and we had to wait over 20 minutes to get our water glasses refilled. 2) Ordered an iced tea, which was never delivered, but then we were charged for TWO at the end. 3) We had to ask the waitress two times if we could order our meals. 4) At one point, there was not a single employee of the establishment on the floor - they were all downstairs in the bathroom/kitchen area. 5) They brought us a bill with items we did not order! 6) They automatically included a gratuity of 18%, which was technically fair since we were a party of 6 and the menu states that parties of 6 or more will be charged this gratuity up front. HOWEVER, given the horrendous service and lack of attention we were paid, the waitress did not deserve such a tip. On top of that, they are sneaky and don't put on the receipt that gratuity is included, so when you are going to sign, you could easily and inadvertently put an additional tip on top of what you have already paid.

I like this place b/c it has a good pinot noir and my husband can watch sports. The salads and sliders are really good too. A lot of sports bars are crappy inside and you can't get decent healthy food, or wine for that matter. This is a nice bar/restaurant with a good balance.

We came here for the Sunday night football game between the Giants and the 49ers. We were seated at one of the hightop cocktail tables closer to the bar and it was perfect. We reserved a table for 8 people, but because closer to 12 showed up having the additional booth space was wonderful. The nachos were great! As far as the other food, I didn't try any but everyone liked their food. The place was ideal for watching the Giants game with the sound on and so many TVs. The place was packed and is a great addition to this area for a sports bar.

Tribeca does need a decent sports bar, however, after being open for at least a month now, TTapHouse is not it. Service....horrible. Waited over 1hr for just wings last time i was there to watch a game. Food....below average (and that's for a sports bar) and certainly not worth waiting for. Feel....bit like a dive of a banquet hall. And each of the 3 times that I've been in there, I'd swear that a short bus from 'the Island' had dropped off 1-2 groups of 22yr olds just to hoot n holler......
