Live Mariachi & a Juan Gabriel impersonator from 9pm-2am... que dices?! The food was delicious & the margaritas were pleasantly strong! The guacamole is prepared in front of you so freshness is guaranteed. Granted the food is a little pricey compared to the other Mexican restaurants nearby but you are paying for dinner & a great show! (If you can find a less expensive Mexican restaurant in the tri-state area that has a live Mariachi playing every weekend please let me know... otherwise I assume they do not exist.) Friendly staff, beautiful decor, ladies coming around selling flowers... for a moment I genuinely felt like I was in Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico City! This place is incredible & my go-to spot when I want to experience un poquito de Mexico! Recommendations: Guacamole Shrimp Cocktail Sopes Pastel de tres leches

I lived in Mexico for 5 years and I have to say this food does not compare! It was bland, missing that extra kick. Service was slow and inanimate. The mariachi was good but honestly, too loud. I could not hear my boyfriend who was sitting beside me, let alone my own thoughts.

Original Mexican food, guys this not Tex-Mex, we order the parrillada and was big enough for two people, tacos are great, please try AL PASTOR... YUMMM. Once again service in most of Latin Restaurant is awful, here is not the exception; we waited at least good half an hour for them to bring out meals to the table, plus waitress hardly returned to, the table to check if everything was fine with us. Weekends the Restaurant has live music, which make impossible to have a nice conversation as it gets too loud. Last thing they use to be decent price but now they are getting ridiculously high - advice watch out if you go in a holiday (Mother's Day, Father's day, 5 de mayo, etc.) watch out because, they have different Menu "for the occasion" but expensive.

Yummy! Shrimp tacos were delicious. Prices a little steep for yonkers..... I would consider returning if they would drop the prices.

This place rocks!! The food is the best and service is great. I have been going here for years and can't recall a bad time. As far as pricing it's not bad you pay for what you get food is authentic and large portions. I have also bought family and friends and it never disappoints.

this place is o overrated... 1.- food takes long 2.- prices are crazy for mexican food 3.- food not that good 4.- the staff is not friendly at all, if like we are lucky to be there,pls... 5.- go 2 stores down to tacos el poblano, way better... keeping it short.. really dislike the place.

This place is a lot of fun to go to on a Friday or Saturday night. Food is great. Love, love, love the steak fajitas. Fresh guacamole made right at the table.

Food was cold and poor service. Very poor service. I guess they don't care. Is a shame because it has a nice decore.

Nice decor! Awesome atmosphere and live music! It's a little too loud, wish they would lower it a bit. Food is okay.

The chairs are too high for the low tables and the waitresses are overworked, miserable, & not too fluent in English. When there's live music the speakers are so loud you can't even hear yourself think. Food is crap

This place is amazing on the weekends. They have a mariachi band & a look a like singer of juan gabriel. Their drinks are amazing (specially the bulldog) & food is great as well.

The food is good, but the service is HORRIBLE!! There are only 3 other tables, but no one's stopped by to refill drinks, check the table, or even to bring the check. If I had Tupperware, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to pack up my leftovers and leave without anyone noticing. HORRIBLE!!

I've lived in Yonkers for over 20 years and always passed this place. I finally ordered dinner from here Sunday night. It came quickly and the delivery man called to get specific directions, my address can be quite confusing. The portions were good for the prices. We had: Guacamole: solid, creamy but also chunky. very tasty w/ crispy chips Pollo Empanizado Cemita (Breaded chicken sandwich): this was a BEAST of a sandwich. For $8 it was a great deal. The chicken was moist, there was fresh avocado, black beans, cheese, and a pepper that was quite spicy. Mixed salad with avocado: nice salad with romaine, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, good dressing and generous helping of avocado Steak Fajitas: Nice portion, great flavor! They also sent a side of limes and radishes, very nice! I was very happy with my order and will make this place my new go-to spot when I'm craving Mexican.

This place is completely hit or miss. The food is good, when it arrives, but sometimes it just doesn't show up at all. Tonight, after my order was 30 minutes late, I called asking where it was. The woman says "he's on his way right now". 20 minutes later it's still not here. I call again and the woman just says "wait longer, he has other deliveries". I asked her to explain why I'm not one of the next orders and she hangs up on me. I call back and she refuses to answer. I call back again with my number blocked and get an answer. Then she says "the driver doesn't know where you live". Horrible service when things go wrong. Good service when things go right. Not worth the risk in my opinion. The food isn't THAT good.

I've driven past this place several times in the 6 years I've lived in Yonkers and this was our first time here. The decor and ambience was very nice. The server was very friendly. They make the guacamole table side, which was tasty but I should've asked for more jalapeños. The margarita I ordered was good and they weren't cheap with the tequila. My wife had a piña colada which which nice and creamy, not the cheap slurpy type that a lot of places serve. The food took forever to come out after ordering, but they have a live mariachi band who kept us entertained. When the food finally came out, my teens had chicken fajitas which they said was great. My little guys had chicken nachos which I sampled and they were ok. My wife had the chicken enchiladas which neither of us enjoyed. I had the chicken tacos and they were really good, however I love flavor and I would have like them spicier. But they were really fresh and tasty nonetheless. I would come back and try a different dish but overall am surprised the food didn't have as much flavor as I expected. At the very least for some drinks, nachos, and live music.

Oh God, I have never seen such a slow waitress in my entire life, this is just so irritating, I can't believe this, a cold seafood salad took a hour to come out!! You need to be kidding me, it's brutal! My first and my last time at the place, and people do not come here I repeat do not COME here!

Good atmosphere and music. Food is good - but mariachi band made the experience fun and unique.

I would like to begin by saying that I consider myself a very generous tipper as I worked my way up as one until I became a chef. This place used to be my "to go Mexican place" until I had 2 bad experiences. First, Two weeks ago I went there with my husband and I found a hair in my dish to which I addressed it to the manager and he offered to change my dish to solve the problem. After this experience I had decided not to go back to this place. However, my sister came to visit yesterday from Far away and she really wanted to go there because she was in a mood for traditional Mexican food. Needless to say we went back. This occasion was even worst. We got a Colombian waitress who was very judgmental ever since I requester tap water and returned the bottle water she had brought by saying "let me see what I can do"... What do you mean?!!! First of all, Yonkers tap water is the best and second of all, just grab a cup and get water from the tap. As simple as that! Let me clarify that I have dined in the most finest restaurant in NYC and that's all I order water or wine because I am not a fan of sweet beverages. Then they serve us fajitas without guacamole and sour cream the way a traditional fajita usually is to which I asked and she was just rude the way she answered as if she was annoyed. She never refilled the water glasses etc...Just bad service. Long story short we got the bill with a printed note saying tip is not included. This is the first time I've gotten this written in my bill!!! I find it so rude and disrespectful! I can do the math and know that the tip is not included! Thereafter, I was looking for the waitress and she disappeared so I approached to the "host" and instead of apologizing she said "well if you didn't like it then take your tip back." I felt like not even leaving a tip but the busboy was very efficient and for that reason I left only 10% tip. The waitress' general mannerism was not friendly. She left us waiting for long amounts of time, just to get water even, she would make facial expressions as if we were disturbing her. It was simply an unpleasant experience. It saddens me to say but they just lost a regular costumer and my friends/ family who would regularly go there.

Worst service I ever had , I had to wait more than 20min to let her know that my food has a HAIR and the worst thing it was her answer "I don't know what's going on with the kitchen almost all the food came out like that this week " I had a bad experience that day, I've been here before and it was okay that's why I gave them 1 star but I'm not coming back ! (The health department should go more often)

It is a sad day today. Today is the last day i will be ordering or eating from this restaurant. Don't get me wrong their food is above average... But it isn't made out of gold and diamonds. My mother and i ordered the same thing every time and when i called today to order it was way over priced. The meal i ordered used to be $9 now is $11.99, my moms was $10 and is now $12.50, tacos went up $1.50. They charge for extra sour cream or even just a few pieces of avocado. EVERYTHING IS MORE MONEY! It isn't worth it, there are other restaurants that have exactly the same thing and taste just as good. Nice knowing you. ***** i didnt even get to eat my last meal from there because the delivery man didnt have a gps (it was a new guy) and ended up on the wrong side of the city. The lady from the restaurant called me and told me that my address doesnt exist. I texted the guy and showed him how close my house is to the restaurant via map. The guy showed up an hour and a half late as if i would still eat my food cold and pay for it. Disgrace...

Great food, terrible service. They were very accommodating with my dietary restrictions when I got the chicken fajitas without tortillas and veggies instead of beans/rice. Guac was made tableside, very fresh and prepared to your taste, should've gotten more jalapeno. Service was just awful though, took forever to even get a drink order in and an eternity to get our food.

Admittedly, I've never gone to the physical location of Plaza Garibaldi. I stumbled upon this place on seamless after my previously frequented mexican food spot let me down. I was extremely happy with my discovery. The food was very impressive and delivered in an orderly and timely manner. I'm eager to visit these guys and I anticipate changing my review from a 4 to 5 very soon. I mean, the food alone earned these guys 4 stars! One more star to go Garibaldi. I believe in you!!!

Get this, I LOVE this place. Their food has been my fave mexican spot for years!!! Why I am giving them 3 stars instead of a full 5... 1) The delivery guy did not deliver to my door! I live in a very nice neighborhood. My bf called him back and asked him why he could not deliver to us at the 2nd floor. He says "because I can't". My bf asks him "but why not?" His answer "because my boss doesn't want me to". Can you believe this nonsense???? We ordered Chinese last week and the delivery guy came to our door at the 2nd floor. Thanks to the inconsiderate lying delivery guy for now having me give Plaza Garibaldi 3 stars. Get this as well...I ordered from this amazing app called Grubhub and I paid through Paypal. I gave the frickin' guy tip beforehand of almost $3 and he claims he cannot deliver to us directly? I call B.S.! I hope Plaza Garibaldi reads this review. This happened today, February 11, 2015 @6:30pm Our food was absolutely divine. Our delivery guy, disgusting.

The place is one of the best Mexican food place you can get in this area. The atmosphere, staff, food everything is great. The neighborhood around the place might be little run down, but the food and place is awesome. If you are a vegetarian like me, it might be a little tricky to order your food, but it is worth it. Definitely order the guacamole and allow the guy to do his little magic. It is one of the best things you can eat. Overall, a great place to dine!

Sometimes I wonder about yelpers. Yeah they have cool chairs. Yeah there was a band playing that I liked and my girl hated. Yeah we are white and the waitress was nice and didnt treat us like gringos. Too bad the food was burnt and dry and dry and burnt. I was starving half to death so I ate my tacos but they sucked and it was expensive and that's what matters.

This is the best 2am option in downtown yonkers. The tacos are seasoned very well!! Also the piña colada is fire.

I just love this place. The over embellished decor, the wood carved chairs (the Frida ones are my fav), sometimes there's live music. The tacos are the yummiest & excellent margaritas!!!

Walk with me on this path of Deliciousness, let me paint a vivid picture and make you understand how good this spot is....My name is Christian and I am addicted to food. I am highly lactose intolerant and no pills help me in these situations. Every time I come here I know that without a doubt, my ass never fails to explode by the end of the night. Even then, gravity sets in and I find myself falling right back to Garibaldi after Ive blasted off from my toilet seat. This place has one of the best fajitas I've ever tasted. The tortillas are done fresh and the meats taste awesome. The prices are ehhhh, but believe me....Great mexican food!!!!

Their food is always fresh, and their complimentary chips and salsa are to die for! Everything is so flavorful, and the waitstaff are very patient and professional. I've never had a bad experience with this restaurant. I've never been there for the mariachi band but they definitely put a lot of effort into the decor of the place.

This restaurant is located on a main road in Yonkers. There is parking in the back but tends to get crowded during regular hours. There are also 3 metered spots on the street right outside. This place is open late, up to 2AM on weeknights and possibly later on weekends. So far I've tried Tortas, both Chorizo and Steak, and they are delicious! They are typical in the presentation with the avocado and jalapeno slices, lettuce & tomato, and light smear of mayo. The ingredients were very fresh and tasty. I've also tried the burritos twice, both al pastor and carne de cerdo. They make 2 mini burritos instead of the usual gigantic one and don't shove an excessive amount of rice and beans to needlessly fill it up. There is plenty of flavorful meat inside and it comes with guacamole with lettuce and tomato on the side. The nachos are ridiculous! They are LOADED with cheese, beans, and whatever meat you order. You will be stuffed and unable to eat anything else and this was the small order! My one complaint was with the chuletas (pork chops). I ordered them in a spicy sauce. It was DISGUSTING. The chuletas were obviously fried to the point of dehydrating the meat. You know, that hard, dry texture you get from overcooking. They took these pork chops and threw them into a red sauce. It was like they were trying to revive or reconstitute the meat by letting it soak in the red sauce. It was a huge dissapointment. I was expecting a similar taste to Chuletas Guisadas, like how the Dominicans or Puerto Ricans make. In spite of this, I find myself coming back to eat their tortas and burritos. Sabroso! Forgot to mention the Mariachi band that plays here occacionally (maybe weekly?) at a deafening decibil. Quite authentic and fun but understand that you will be hearing impaired with tinitus (ringing) upon leaving.

Pretty good food, but not too happy with my order. I did like how they made us fresh guacamole right by our table. Starter chips were a bit soggy and the 2 choices of dip were blah. Don't like the location as it's on a pretty busy main road close to a crummy neighborhood. Probably won't go back. They are way better Mexican restaurants than thi s one.
