The place is beautiful and the staff is very sweet but that's about it for this place. We originally were looking into Kennedy's as a location for our wedding and the person who handles parties was less than accommodating and informative. Needless to say, the wedding is elsewhere and after eating there I am thankful of that. We arrived and were seated right away, the waitress was the sweetest. My fiance got a steak and I got the risotto. Almost 45 minutes later our food arrived; the risotto was obviously just reheated and was the consistency of paste with no flavor. His steak was supposed to be medium well - the thinner half was well done, the other end was so undercooked it was uneatable. The potatoes tasted like something out of a box and the veggies had zero flavor. I will admit that the staff was very attentive but when both meals were so bad, there isn't much you could do.

It is resurrected, Thank God! The new structure features a second-story dining loft for cozy ambience. The downstairs has expanded bar, with a hearth between the bar and dining area. All seating has great views of NYC skyline across Jamaica Bay. I really liked the décor of deep ocean blue wall covering, dark wood paneling and white window trimming. Guitar and sax in the bar room played classic tunes for nice background sound, not obtrusive. Baked clams, filet mignon and Chilean sea bass were perfect. Crème brulee was good, but came out too late to keep the crispy caramel warm. But, Kennedy's became crowded by the time we got to desert. Will definitely be back.

Very expensive, but classy. Food was okay, but could have been a lot better. Many televisions and a very nice fireplace. Great views out of their large windows. Overall a pleasant but expensive experience.

For Breezy this is 5 stars, but for the rest of the world this is probably a 3.5 or 4. I suppose I'll go with 4 stars and that's only because of the view. Kennedy's is deemed as the fancy place in Breezy Point. It really is the only place you can get a meal served on a plate not made of paper in the little co-op. Now, I will give credit where credit is due - the views are quite spectacular. You can see the NYC skyline as well as Coney Island and their fireworks on Friday nights. Where else can you see that whilst dining? However, the food falls a little short according to my foodie palate. Also, the service is a little spotty and slow. I mean, its not like we were in a rush, however, waiting over 30 minutes for your entree after your appetizer is a little much. I ordered a mussels appetizer, which were mehhhh. We also ordered baked clams, crab cakes and the beet salad - all of which were much tastier than my measly mussels. For an entree I ordered the fillet mignon special, which was good, but the bleu cheese on top was a little bit of an over kill in terms of taking away from the flavor of the meat.. and not to mention I had to cut around some fat (fillet mignon no-no!). If you're not a Breezy resident I'm sure you can find a similar restaurant with nice views and would be more than satisfied with your decision. What I'm saying is that I've noticed the bad reviews and they all seem to be from people who have made it a specific point to come here. Maybe try The River Cafe by the Brooklyn Bridge? It's on my list.. looks romantic :) Also, prior to dining we sat at the bar and I found the bartender to be a little short (attitude, not height) and unfriendly. I came here on a separate night for just drinks and they had a live band playing and things were a little better.

Came here to celebrate my nieces kindergarten graduation. You need to pass a checkpoint and get a secret coin just to get to this place which is in a gated community of mostly cops and firemen called Breezy Point. I ordered the crab cake entree and while the crab cake was very nicely done with far more crab meat than filler it was also quite small and for 14 dollars they couldve put 2 on the plate. The waitress asked if I wanted the entree or app version and I asked for entree, I guess it constitutes entree because it came with bland mashed potatoes and string beans that were crying out for a little toasted garlic. (Doesnt it suck when you pay for a dish in a place thats supposed to be top quality and realize you couldve made the dish better yourself?) My 6 yr old niece got a dish of chocolate ice cream and didnt seem to like it, it made the rounds around the table and we all decided there was something off about it, not quite sour but somewhat chalky tasting. Odd. The very nice waitress however took it off the check with no problems. The place has a truly astounding view of the ocean.

This was supposed to be a fancy place to eat at but I really did not appreciate the terrible servers who seemed to treat others with a friendly manner but not our table. When the rain came dripping in from the window, we asked to move to another table. They were not too pleased with this request despite all the tables around us being empty. Two Asians and an Italian were definitely being served a bunch of racists. We were there for an early dinner. The food was fine but nothing that would make me want to go back. Since I was the guest and driven there, I had no idea where I was. I would never have guessed that this place was considered a popular dining location. I even had to look up this place by searching Breezy Point restaurants on Goggle. That's how great it was. Won't go back there.

The view is fabulous, the food is good and the waitress was polite, but the cook needs some assistance. This is not a Michelin star restaurant and I did not order a ten course meal. The two times that I have been here (brunch and dinner), it took the cook a little over three hours for a simple three course meal. DO NOT come here hungry.

I didn't even order anything and I can tell you this place is crap. Once we secretly bypassed the teenage guard at the main entrance of breezy point, we were then able to not eat at Kennedy's. The restaurant is located in a "private community" . You have to be either Irish or drunk to be part of this community. The place didn't acknowledge our presence. I had to ask 3 different people for a take out menu. And once I finally got a workers attention, they made it very clear that our business was not needed or wanted. If I had to chose between eating at this place or catching my own food from Jamaica bay with nothing but my bare hands....i would dive head first into the water!

The view is lovely here, but other than that I've experienced better. The waitress was cold and unfriendly. She mistakenly told us a bottle of a particular wine was not available in half bottles even though it clearly stated it was on the menu. When one of my friend's asked for a vegetarian option, she was not helpful at all. She had wanted a pasta dish with just vegetables and all the pasta choices included some seafood of some kind. For the price, I expected the food to be better than average and it certainly wasn't. I ordered the Summer BBQ Braised Beef Short Ribs, Chive Mashed Potatoes, Chef's Vegetable and while it looked nice on the plate, the taste was lacking. The ribs were fatty and tasted pedestrian. The look of the place looks upscale, but in my opinion it was no better than most diner food. I had come here on another occasion for lunch and had gotten a chicken wrap which was not very memorable. Also the place made me feel a bit out of place because everyone that comes here is Irish. I don't think I would have minded the homogeneity if the staff was a bit more welcoming and friendly. Well the place gets enough business without my help. I'm not sure why though.

I took my daughter there for a martini - the French one I had enjoyed on a previous occasion with previous owners. What we got was a French Martini with pineapple juice and they had the cheek to charge me $23 for 2. This is not the correct mix - it is Chambord and vodka. The Chambord is quite an expensive liqueur - mixing it with pineapple juice gives them more profit and me a not-so-good cocktail. Next I was there with friends for dinner - the baked potatoes were 'dead' - well over done. I asked for a replacement and the second one came the same as the first. The food is just mediocre, I am a trained chef so I am able to discern quality cooking - and this is not what I call good food. The waiters are lacking in knowledge and skill. They cleared the table before we were finished, making it clear they wanted us to move out. They didn't know the contents of the dishes or the drinks. The prices are way over-charged for the quality of what you get. I heard my friend say "well ,we pay for the view" - absolute tosh - when we go to a restaurant we pay for the food and service - neither of which is available at this place. Save your money! If you are traveling in from outside the Point - don't bother. The people who say the place is great - I am glad they are content with it; however, for the discerning customer, you will not find worthy cuisine here, nor good service - it seems to me that the owner is charading as a hotelier but can't reach that esteemed level - he is kidding himself and unfortunately those people who love good food! It is a convenient spot for the Pointers who are willing to put up with mediocre food and service for a night out without having to drive any where. Don't we deserve better than that? Oh, and I only put the score at 1 as I could not put no score at all!

The restaurant is located in "romantic date night" spot in Far Rock's Breezy Point, but I came here to celebrate not only our Independence, but my mom's B-day. The large windows show you amazing view of NYC's coastline, from Coney Island, to Manhattan and parts of Jersey. But this is where it all ends. The service, friendly and nice. Onto the food, the bread with butter was as hard as rocks, and had to request it to be warmed up so it could taste softer and fresh, rather than hard and stale. The tilapia dish that I ordered was bland and lacked taste. I had to shower it with balsamic vinegar in order to appeal my taste-buds needs. It was quite disappointing since am paying $19 bucks for a miserable piece of bland fish on a platter. Gorton's Fisherman makes a better fish than this. Then after eating all of that balsamic fish, I had to drink water. I prayed that the waiter came over and brought us some more, but it was too late, I had to drink water from my folks glasses. Then after seen empty glasses at our table, the waiter suddenly wants to fill 'em up. Sorry, this place failed in my book. The only thing nice thing about driving out to this place was taking a Fourth of July stroll along the beach. Not going back. Bland food, whack service. Unrecommendable.

This place had a nice location on the beach looking at the water, but that's about it. My "puffy chicken" was a lot of bread, two sliced tomatoes, and the smallest piece of chicken that you can think of. I was not satisfied. The waitress was not friendly at all. The whole times I was there any time my water glass was empty, it was then quickly filled up, i loved this because i drink alot of water. BUT, as soon as my dinner came i stopped getting water, and this was when i wanted it the most.

Five of us had dinner here tonight. For the local area, it's a great gem! This restaurant is attractive physically and has great views of a beach, Jamaica Bay, and a distant Manhattan. There are now a couple of decent wines by the glass and also several draft beers that have never been near a Clydesdale. The food is not terribly original (braised short ribs with horseradish-infused mashed potatoes, just like at the Lark Creek Inn or the Buckeye Roadhouse), but our dishes were prepared competently -- everyone seemed happy. The service was not up to big city standards, but, hey, we're at the beach!

My wife and I before we were married celebrated another special anniversary at Kennedy's. This elegant Breezy Point restaurant has a great view of the Manhattan skyline since it is right off Jamaica Bay. For starters we had shrimp & crab spring rolls. For our entrees I had a great pasta dish with shrimp in it and a light white wine sauce. My wife had penne with chicken, prosciutto & peas in a roasted garlic cream sauce. Both meals were talked about weeks after we experienced them. We had a bottle of white wine and dessert was skipped since we were so stuffed. Highly recommend it if you are in the area since its a bit out of the way.

My mom and I stopped by Kennedy's for a couple of cocktails after being in Breezy for the day. This my my first time back since they rebuilt it after hurricane sandy. It's beautiful in there, such a great atmosphere, and the totally glass windows all around gives a great view of the beach/bay. The upstairs room is beautiful, I definitely want to plan a party up there one day soon. We only say at the bar and had some drinks. The bartender was nice, and all the servers who walked around would offer a smile. I can't wait to go back to eat!

First off I have to give Kennedy's Restaurant kudos for reopening after the devastation the restaurant & all of Breezy Point experienced from Hurricane Sandy. It reopened on the 2 year anniversary of this devastating event. So Sunday 11/9 we decided to visit Kennedy's in Breezy Point, Queens. We tried to make a reservation by phone over the course of a few hours....as is suggested on their web site, but no one would pick up the phone. So we optimistically headed to Kennedy's, arriving there around 7:00pm. As we arrived we saw groups of people (several small parties) standing at the entrance waiting for a table or some direction from staff. Waitresses and the manager passed by several times with no greeting or advice whatsoever. Once we stood there for about 10 minutes I asked the people in front of us how long they had been there. They said they had been waiting for a table for 2 for 35 minutes. I proceeded to walk around the restaurant & counted 9 empty tables!!! So leaving 4 small parties of customers standing at the entrance with no greeting/guidance was unacceptable! I spoke to the manager, who seemed to be in a frenzy/foul mood and he told me our wait would be twenty minutes! Due to this we almost left. We decided to wait knowing that they are newly back and getting acclimated. I HIGHLY recommend they hire a hostess or maitre d', especially for the weekends. They lost 2 parties of people (& almost 3) just while we were standing there waiting for a table.... due to ineptitude. However we decided to be patient and after about 20-25 minutes we were seated on the upper level of the establishment. The new Kennedy's has a Hamptonesque feel. It is done in crisp blues and whites with driftwood walls and large glass windows for the gorgeous beach & water views. The decor of this restaurant is beautiful. Service was just okay. Server was new to serving and told us so. They were out of quite a few menu items.(at 730pm) We ordered a chicken & pork loin dish. Both plates were tasty with a nice presentation. Pork loin dish was supposed to come with red cabbage which I was looking forward to. Instead they substituted spinach with no explanation. The portions are definitely on the small side so if you are really hungry get an appetizer! Entrees run between $22 to $45. We did not try the desserts. I think once they get their act together they have the potential to be a 4 to 5 star) PLEASE hire a hostess or maitre d' because first impressions are very important!!

I've only been to this place once and I wish I could go back sometime. The food and the view of Manhattan were both wonderful from this restaurant. Kennedy's itself is off the beaten path so it seems like a well kept secret however, once you find it you'll be delighted. Too bad Hurricane Sandy caused this place to close, hopefully they can reopen in the near future. Kennedy's is like a hidden gem that should be available to people who want to discover it.

Yep we're here on a Wednesday and the place is excitedly tuned into the Ranger game. It's cool out with a stiff breeze coming off the ocean. But that doesn't stop the festivities with the bar buzzing with excited fans. We re hangry so we start with the baked clams and a bowl of onion soup, because it is so chilly out. Btw I never get tired of the view from this place. The night is clear and the buildings miles away are sparkling For entrees we get the roast duck with squash and the medallions of pork. It's all wonderful We finish up with coffee and face the prospect of walking to the car with the wind howling.

So I was particularly excited about going to check this place out since the last time I went to Breezy Point was to check out the full scope of the damage from hurricane Sandy. I must admit that when I looked the place up on Yelp I was not excited but a friend picked the place so I went along... When I arrived I found the restaurant to be fresh, nicely decorated and there was a crowd. I sincerely think that the pictures of the interior on Yelp do not do the place justice. We were given a table with a view of the bay which was wonderful. We were given one menu because apparently they were low.... It went downhill from there. I ordered a coke which was flat.... I knew that I wasn't going to be happy. We ordered the beet salad which had way too much dressing and the beets lacked crunch. We got clams... They were tasteless and oily. The Thai chicken dumpling were not good as well. I went with a burger because no one messes up a burger right? Wrong! The burger was flavorless and the bun was not fresh. One of my friends had the tuna sandwich which looked dry... My other friend had the Cubano which was also mediocre. So I gave two stars because the location and setting are great if not for that I would have given one star. The service was slow but the waitress was attentive and cheerful. The food was bad especially for the prices they want. Needless to say I will not be returning again. I would need to hear that there is a different chef to return. I am told that this is the only place to go and eat in the area hence I think the mediocre food may not go away as patrons have no other options hence business has no pressure to change. Pack a lunch if you are in the area and enjoy your lunch on the beach.

My family and I had been here a handful of times before and after Hurricane Sandy. I had went there for Mother's day with a few member's of my family. I had ordered the filet mignon, which was delicious (you could cut it with a butter knife). Besides the food being very good, the service was good until we got questioned about our tips we had left for the waitress (we doubled our tax). We had paid our checks, and thought we had left a suitable tip for our waitress, but apparently the General Manager (who I assumed to be the GM, I am not 100% what his role was) had thought differently. My aunt and I had gone to use the restroom and the "GM" was actually waiting for us outside the bathroom door to question our tip that we had left the waitress. He didn't even have the common courtesy to pull us to the side to ask us why we didn't leave a better tip he had asked us in front of a FULL dining room. After he had bombarded us with questions on why we didn't leave more for the waitress, he had insisted on making my Aunt and I wait there for 5 minutes so he could get the waitress. The waitress finally came down, and started to question or tip leaving ability as well. After being bluntly question for about tens minutes from each the "GM" and waitress we had left. My Aunt had felt so embarrassed she got into her car and was about to leave, but her being the amazing women she is, she had decided to go back inside and give her an EXTRA $50 tip. I was so remarkably embarrassed by the way they had treated us, that I highly doubt I will be returning anytime soon. Other then the service falling short, the establishment had a gorgeous renovation since Hurricane Sandy and the views of Jamaica Bay are outstanding.

I took my mom for brunch last Sunday and was really dissapointed with the entire experience. I had to call on 4 different occasions to "try and get" a reservation as the woman kept telling me they were at capacity, I was finally able to get a reservation by Friday morning. When I arrived I expected there to a boat load of people there, there were MORE than enough open tables when I arrived. I was seated upstairs. The buffet table was really underwhelming. They have a small selection with cookies, muffins (stale) a table with eggs/frittata, home fries and french toast, another section with pasta, chicken and something else. I asked our server for coffee which came out cold, and for milk, he said the only thing they had was whole, really? For brunch, in 2015 you don't serve anything other than whole milk, really strange for a restaurant. Our waiter stopped over maybe 2X the whole time. I was really excited as it was indicated as a "jazz brunch" I dont think I heard the music play for more than 15 minutes the entire time I was there. The food was ok, I definitely would not return. If your looking for a great place for brunch, go to Vetro in Howard Beach. Food and Service are both wonderful. The ambiance of this place is really lovely, as is the location and view. They really need an overhaul in the food department.

Nice ambience and the place looks as good as ever after rebuilding from hurricane sandy. Service is decent and the food is average at best and somewhat pricey. I would not recommend getting steak here - seafood is exponentially better

I've eaten from here about once a week since they've opened. Ambiance - 4 stars. There's wonderful view of Manhattan across Jamaica Bay, and they have some nice fireplaces to cozy up the room. It can get rather dark, though. And, while the upstairs eating area is nice, it's off-limits to anyone who can't walk up the stairs. Service - 3 stars. Service is OK. The restaurants tries to act upscale (based on the ambiance and decor), but you'd think you were at a run-of-the-mill diner by the way the waitstaff behave. They tend to rush you, and most never seem to remember the specials. They also tend to bicker in front of the quests, which is unpleasant. However, most of them are very friendly and accommodating to their tables. Food - 2 stars. The food here doesn't taste very different or special from foods I've already had. I'm glad that they have more diverse ingredients (e.g., pomegranate reduction) in their foods, but their sauces can be disgustingly heavy and salty, and they tend to drench their veggies in butter or oil. Definitely ask for the sauce on the side or for steamed vegetables if you want healthier versions of their food. Their salads are pretty yummy though. I particularly like the beet salad.

This establishes bayside restaurant doesn't try nearly as hard as you might expect. While the new restaurant is lovely with much improved decor and the breathtaking view, the service and food remain wanting. We patiently waited for our server then agonized with hunger waiting for our meal. Our server only can by twice in 1.5 hour for a bar order. This was bad business, we wanted much more to drink, and we became unhappy closer to 2 hours. It was a Saturday night we had reservation but still had to wait 15-20 mins for our table. I'm not sure we will be back to Kennedys but we love it anyways.

I will give them 5 stars for décor - the space is lovely. The service was friendly. But the food! Come on guys!! My red snapper was horribly overcooked. The lemon butter sauce was non-existant. Potatoes and vegetables were very good. My husband's Prime Rib was flavorless. He asked for it medium rare - it was medium. I told him not to send it back. But it was a real disappointment. My daughter had the chicken en croute and she kept saying "MOM there's no chicken!" there actually was but there was an awful lot of puff pastry to get through before she could find the actual chicken. I though her dish was the tastiest of all. Desserts were uninspired...my daughter ordered the brownie sundae. It was just ok. I will probably give them another try - maybe not on a busy weekend - this place could be a contender but the food just misses the mark.

Great Dining Experience. The rebuild was done right on the mark. Enlarged bar area with split level dining capitalizing on the views. Compliments to the architect and designer. The kitchen was quick and produced four top notch meals. Excellent salads, Angus steak, pork, sword fish and Red Snapper. The service was efficient and very friendly.

I am a small business owner who has just moved to Rockaway Park. I heard great things about this place before Sandy so when I heard they were open for business I wanted to support. Beautiful atmosphere, but it stopped there. They kept trying to serve me somebody else brunch order. My first choice was not available. When my order came it was wrong waited to long just for coffee a basic, never saw the coffee cake and coffee again waited almost 30 min for a second cup of just coffee. Just a real epic fail. Place was packed and from other reviews it seems to always be like that then why not pay attention to small details like good service....I want to give it one more chance in all fairness but who wants hit and miss service. Not me...

Was there Saturday night for the second time since it's re-opening We had 7:30 reservations and sat at 7:45 I didn't feel that was too bad at all . Sat upstairs which doesn't have the great view like downstairs but was not as bad as I thought it would be Service was extremely slow. Waited 40 minutes for our first drink . I understand that it was extremely crowded at the bar and our waitress was very sweet but there was only four of us and 40 minutes is a very long time to Waite! Had to ask for water, bread and then sat and waited and waited and waited for our entrees and another drink The food is good , the place is pretty but make sure you have set aside an extra hour or even two for your dining experience And have your patience ready and willing to use

The view is very nice that's a given its on the beach so it should be . It is a bit pricey for the food and service you get . Brunch is ok its nothing to rave about service is soso . I can see the other reviews being correct for dinner . The issue here is that they pride themselves on there location and views . They need to improve the quality of service as well as the food . Both should be an easy fix

Great dinner with a large group of friends. Food was good and service OK, even though the waitress kept leaving when we were about to give our order. I had the red snapper and it was dry, however my husband had the salmon and said it was the best salmon he ever had. Local place so will be back.

I was happy to see Kennedy's is open again after Sandy, but much like the recent reviews here...I'm not going to give it a pass for bad service and just OK food because of that. I had brunch with my parents today and while it looks great (and thrilled for that renovation), the food and service were - at best - questionable. Brunch was very crowded, which is a great sign for a community getting back to being vibrant - beautiful wood-stained bar, great open space...with way too many people for the amount the staff could handle. Parties of 30+ (no kidding) and others put a crimp in ordering, but much like @Carmen R. review - I was told what the omelette of the day was and when I ordered and asked for egg whites only, was told "the kitchen is really busy, so not sure if we can do that." Am I in a restaurant where I'm paying or is this a pre-prepped food area that I have no choice? Not a fan. Then when I flag her down for another drink since it's been...oh...nearly 40 minutes since we ordered our brunch entrees...she says "yes! you. I told you the omelette was spinach and mozzerella, but now it's mozzerella, tomato and mushroom." Were you going to "surprise me" with this delightful change? If I was allergic - or just hated - mushrooms that would be presented to me without explanation? So hungry, I didn't want to change my order...even though I don't love mushrooms. Brunch took a long time, while thankfully I was catching up with my parents, but...when my sad little egg-white omelette showed up, my waitress literally sat it down in front of me saying "well, that doesn't look very good, does it." Does it, Kennedy's? You dump a few mushroom and tomatoes on my plate with a mess of egg whites and call this a meal? Apparently, and if this is the first time you've laid eyes on it, then you are the worst server and cook I've ever met. The worst part is that their brunch is prix fixe - so you're already in the hole $24/pp with 2 courses (maybe people don't want to gorge on Sunday AM?) and a mimosa, bloody mary or screwdriver. True to form with service, I could not switch anything to a glass of white wine, even exchanging my complimentary mimosa when our service was bad, our food was meh at best and the staff is completely overwhelmed. For a high point, get the Greek yogurt and granola with honey app, that was very pretty good. Rockaway needs great options - they need a lot of work still, but maybe soon.

The view is just about the only outstanding thing about this restaurant - food is average with some decent plates (e.g. Maine Steamers, Short-bread biscuit with Berries); we had a large group and a reservation yet we had to flag the front desk person down to get the table (wouldn't you ask why there are 12 people milling about in front of you? Funny) . I take it the locals (since this is in an essentially a private gated community and the only restaurant in it) might like it, the bar was certainly jammed this Saturday evening, but I wouldn't not return - too much of a hassle to get here for an average experience.

My wife and I have been coming here every year to celebrate our anniversary for the past 12 years. This place never disappoints: The view, the ambiance, the food, etc, it's great. I generally get some sort of steak, which is always cooked perfect, and she gets some seafood. We have never had anything bad to say about this place. The servers are always polite, food delicious, place clean, etc.

My friends and I have made our annual trip here for years. Since Sandy we felt deprived of our spring outing. Not only have they come back after two long years, they are back with a vengeance! The place looks magnificent, all dark blue and wood. Not sure if they have a new chef but the menu has been revamped and everything looks wonderful. We arrived for lunch on a Friday and found the place packed, good for them, not so good for us. The hostess showed us to one of the high tables but we had to decline. Neither one of us are able to get into the chairs. My friend walks with a cane and my legs get too numb when they dangle. She kindly showed us to a table originally for four and we were very happy. Given that the place was crowded she could have made us wait but she was extremely kind to allow us to take up that table. We couldn't decide what to have and had a aha moment. We ended up ordering all four of the appetizers, buffalo chicken wings, baked clams, baked brie, and chicken dumplings. What a wonderful choice! Flavors exploded in our mouths with each item we shared. The best part? Having only appetizers left us room for desert! We shared the salted caramel cheese cake and believe it or not, the bacon sundae. No matter where you live you have to get here, wonderful food, beautiful location and well worth the drive from Woodside. We will be back.

Excellent food, top notch service by Tori and staff. Good atmosphere and very comfortable, even in the bar area. The prime rib was very good. We were accommodated even though it was busy (recommend a reservation) even on a wet Saturday early evening.

Hooray you're back! Beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Gorgeous sunset views of Jamaica bay, NYC and Coney Island. The menu is reasonably priced and food is better since reopening. Wine list could be upgraded to Match the improved food. Maiden Marion

Returned. The food was amazing, as usual. Service much better, I still waited too long for drink refills, which in the food industry is a big no-no, have to keep your diners hydrated, especially when the mark up on alcohol is 500-600%!!!! Getting there.

After being closed for 2 long years after Hurricane Sandy demolished it Kennedy's is reopening this week. Without eating one meal there since the reopening I am giving them 5 stars for hanging in there and not leaving us high and dry without the one restaurant in Rockaway that is actually a beautiful spot to dine. No, I'm not Irish, so I wont get the hugs and kisses that the local Breezy Point residents get. Still cant figure out how to get the best table by the window after 10 years of being a regular but I am GRATEFUL to have such a lovely restaurant to bring friends to when they make the long trek from Manhattan to Rockaway.
