This deli is one of the best around. Service is fast, prices are good...and the sandwiches are amazing. I highly recommend the Cuban panini. Cold cuts are always fresh, and the salads as well. I won't use any other deli.

You can smell how yummy this deli is from the moment you get to the doorway. I can't always tell which delicious choice that I can practically taste, but I do know that it's something life changing every time... My personal favorite at this deli is the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.. It may sound boring, but it's a classic and D&A Terrace Deli knows just how to achieve perfection! Staff is excellent, very helpful. Always a clean spot.

Ever since the deli was taken over by someone who actually cares, the service, food and overall quality is amazing. Prices are fair. The food is fresh and the area that they prepare it on is clean. Quick and friendly service as well as good food. What more could you ask for! I am so glad it's back and better than ever.

I can't stay away from this deli! Been here about 14 times in 3 weeks...breakfast is great, they don't use cheap bacon and I can taste the difference. Lunch specials smell great and taste even better! They have different hot lunches everyday, pepper steak and shepherds pie are my favorites. Soup is good, kept at the right temperature and goes nicely with a chopped salad. They have bagels everyday too!! Very clean, from the floors to the deli case and the food prep area. Smells great, all day! I've yet to smell anything unappetizing. Food is fresh and prepared properly, by this I mean they take the time to make you something that you will enjoy. "Good things take time!" Great deli, definitely worth the trip. Prices are really good, I would pay more for the product they are delivering. Has a nice sitting area with 2 TVs, and a small clean bathroom with nice soap/towels. The staff is very friendly and they seem very happy working. I see them take their breaks, and they sit in the dining area and eat something prepared from the deli along with everyone else that enjoys the quality of D&A!

My office orders from here all the time. The chopped salads are AMAZING. They are fairly priced and never make any mistakes. The sandwiches are just as amazing. The employees are polite and the delivery is very fast. I would definitely recommend.

Good food for the most part. Lacks some consistency with thee salads though. Sometimes great, sometimes way to much vinegar. Breakfast is always great and the bog guy with the glasses is ridic fast with it! Definitely check this place out. The parking situation is a pain but worth it.

I'm back. I had a response messaged to me from the writer of the original post which is no longer up by the way and appreciate that she admits that she is an employee of the deli. Do you know that it is the policy and request of Yelp that employees and owners should avoid reviewing their own location? If you had stated that in your original post, I would have had no issue at all and continued to provide a proper review. By the way, why wouldn't you shop there if you worked there? That is not a logical comment. Lastly, with 2 bagel stores and a 7-11 within a stones throw of you, would it be wise to post something on a public forum that people would question? Yes, we did order some food for one of our Sunday football games and yes the food was good which is why I am awarding them 3 stars. The salads were fresh and the deli meat were cut perfectly. I stand by what I had stated in my original post, good food and good service is what's important.

This is the second time I called to place an order for delivery and they were very nasty on the phone.i'm handicapped and would use them quite often but their attitude stinks won't go back here. Place wasn't so great anyways .went there before I became handicapped for convince .

I shared a chicken Cesar wrap with my girlfriend, the taste was amazing! The place is very clean and they have very friendly service. Best Deli I've been to on the island so far, just like the ones back home at Queens!

This place is always super clean even when busy. All the salads and heroes are always very fresh. I grabbed a 4 foot hero for a party. It was ready and they had all the condiments ready. The hero was delicious and a big hit at the party. Went back the next morning for a breakfast sandwich and same great quality. The employees were super friendly and helped me pick out the food for the party. Just made one last stop for a sandwich before heading back to miami.

The good: The place is nice and spacious; standing around a cramped aisle with a half dozen other customers is something I hate about most delis. Great spread of quality food, with sandwich specials that are a lot more imaginative than slicing off deli meats onto a roll and throwing a slab of cheese on top. The paninis are by far the best I've gotten from a deli in the Islip area. Nice selection of hot food and salads on weekdays, but on weekends you're pretty much ordering off the sandwich menu. The bad: Parking is awful and the worst part about coming here. It shares a very narrow parking lot with a dance studio that sees huge amounts of traffic on weekends. I actually recommend parking at CVS next door, where leaving the lot is much easier, and walking over. There's also no consistent menu for the hot food, so they serve whatever they feel like making that day. That would be cool if there was an online menu updated daily, but no such luck; you have to stop in or call and ask. The verdict: Some more consistent hot food options would really seal the deal -- I used to always look forward to the Thursday london broil special at H&B in Bohemia when they were around -- but this is my new favorite deli for lunch around these parts. Highly recommended.

I was so hungry when I got to this deli at 11:30, I would have loved it no matter what. But it's adorable. We don't have diners like this in California. We have retro stuff, that Cafe 50s and a few other places , but those are more theme restaurants. I had a yummy bowl of French onion and a side salad with light ranch dressing. It's a big menu and I was tempted to get a tuna melt or a burger. They have lots of salads. My friend had an omelet which looked fine but flat omelets are a pet peeve. The service is great. They have a full bar, which shocked me. On Fridays, they're open till 1AM and the bakery stuff looked good (I toyed with a big hamentashen but decided to be virtuous). My cab was fine. There used to be a diner kind of like this on Chapel Street in New Haven down by Park or so. It's long gone but diners like this are so East Coast. I wish my phone hadn't been dead so I could show California friends. The prices are FAR under the deli /diner /coffee shop famous in Manhattan. I wouldn't order omelet because I like them fluffier, but I'd come back in a heartbeat if I were in Babylon.
