I am so pleasantly surprised that there is such a yummy bakery right down the block from me. I used to venture back to Dortoni in Levittown for all my pastry needs until I found Amato's thanks to yelp. Prices are reasonable and the cakes, cookies and breads are delish!

Where else can you find rainbow cookie cake? The rainbow cookies are made right. Awesome canollis, a wide assortment of fun and delicious pastries and cakes. The sign says "Italian-American bakery" which is great because a lot of "Italian" bakeries are run by non-Italians which kinda irks me, but it's actually called Amato Bakery, despite the sign. ENJOY!

So I took a trip out to NY (im from CA) to visit my cuz and she stopped by at this bakery to pick up some bread. Hands down the best bakery i have ever been to. I was amazed and excited about all the goodies they had sitting there. I went crazy and just started to buy whatever i saw. Everything we bought was delicious, especially the cheesecake! Forget about cheesecake factory or juniors!

What a terrible experience. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back after a previous bad experience. bad decision on my part. I should've just stayed away. First the place looks dirty and run down. The pastry, all though it's fresh, looks sub par. They look like a kid made them. Nothing is "crisp" looking. It all looks like it was made in grandmas kitchen. My bad experience was on Christmas. I walked in and the guy in front of me ordered a cake. The girl rang him up at $24 dollars and I watched because that's the cake I wanted. I was next and ordered. I got the old unpleasant woman helping me. She then rang me up at $30 dollars. I questioned her on it and she quickly became unable to understand English. She kept saying something to me in broken Italian/English which became harder to understand the more I questioned. It's a typical Sicilian response. It was Christmas and rather than make a scene I paid for my cake, 6 bucks more than the previous customer (9" bakery cake for $30 dollars. Lol) and went on my way. Merry Christmas Amatos. Last time you'll see me in your dumpy establishment. Buyer beware! No professionalism.

This review is for Alina who makes all the cakes. I ordered a 30th birthday specialty cake from here and Alina was amazing! The cake came out better than I had hoped. Everyone raved that this was one of the best cakes they have ever had and couldn't believe where I had gotten it! Will def be back to order my next cake from her... her pictures on here speak for themselves.

My go-to bakery for birthday cakes! I love this bakery and I love the quality of the cakes. I tell all my friends and family to come here. I always order a chocolate cannoli cake. So yummy. The workers are nice too!

Called today to order a cake for a birthday, and had a few questions regarding my options. Was treated with zero professionalism, and basically rushed off the phone by some women. Decided to not do business with Amato Bakery as a result, and simply ordered my cake from Sapienza Bakery. Amato's needs to train their staff and or hire people who care.
