A truly hidden gem. Great beer and friendly staff! Defiantly worth a stop in... It's a little off the main path. Green chile beer is tasty and the pecan beer is crazy. Going to come back for the food. Their stout is just that... STOUT :-)

The food was average at best...every baked potato sent out unfortunately had raw bacon on it. The servers were gracious but incredibly slow.. I would recommend it for beverages only.

I was really disappointed by this place. I've been to their tap room in Moriarty, and I can recall when they had this place open the first time, back in like 2000. Needless to say, I had high expectations. For starters, their were 5 of us, and our hostess took us upstairs only to seat us at a 4 top. I peeked downstairs, and there were 4 tops down there. Why did she seat us upstairs alone? Eventually others were sat there, but it was weird. Not to mention, why seat 5 people at a 4 top and tell them "just sit close together." There are larger tables upstairs, why not sit us there? On to the food: not bad, really. Nothing special. I had the burger, it was good. The French toast sandwich thing looked interesting. Our waitress was young and inexperienced, but she was trying. The beer: I liked it. This was the real redeemer for me. As I mentioned, I've been to the tap room, so I knew what to expect. Not disappointed. Overall, I kind of expected more. The layout and decor is a little dark, and the plexiglass partition from upstairs to down defeats the feeling of an open loft. For being a tap room, the food + beer experience was really lackluster. I think maybe next time I come I'll just sit at the bar, or maybe if it's summer time I'll sit on the deck, that looked promising.

O.M.G. What a great little find in Ruidoso! After trying the a very lackluster Pizza establishment on Sudderth, our only regret was not finding this place sooner. Nice Decor, Great and Friendly Servers, Lots of Beer on Tap, and Great Food! I highly recommend this place if You're in the area! This little area doesn't have a great variety of restaurants which makes this place such a great find. Make sure You bring Your appetite because the portions are hearty! Oh, and get the Brie/Marmalade appetizer! A-MAZ-ING!

The staff was very accommodating and friendly.I had the chef salad with Chipotle ranch, it was wonderful. My brother had the special steak with green Chile and he loved it, he has been there many times and has loved everything he has had there especially the macaroni and cheese. My mother had the pork chops and they were great. Tourist trap it is definitely not! I vacation here every summer and this is the best restaurant that has been in that location. Try the green Chile beer and you will agree. We went back today to try the lunch menu. The prices were high for lunch compared to other places. I had something like a monte Cristo for 11.95 it was ok. My Mom had the burger for 10.95 and said it was great. My daughter had the mac and cheese and said it was spicy, there was some sort of red specs all over it. This place was better for dinner and the prices make more sense.

Steaks were great, cooked and seasoned well. BBQ sauce on the brisket sandwich was a bit spicy (just fyi). Service was good. Overall good experience. Would recommend.

Fantastic! Everything! We ended up going back the remaining three days we were in town. The place is a blast and they're all just great up there.

Definitely a tourist trap... These prices are extremely high for such flavorless food. The best thing about our meal was the honey butter that came with the (dry) jalapeño biscuits. The parking lot is empty for a reason! I had The Jersey, chopped sirloin on a sub with with peppers, mushrooms, and onions smothered in a sauce. The pepper medley completely overpowered the taste and texture of any meat. Other than that, the entire thing was unbearably DRY! Around the table: The chicken fried steak was equally disappointing The French onion soup is good, though nothing compared to Wendell's. The burgers and ice cream are generic. Even if you have the 10% off coupon from local hotels, I recommend Cattle Baron or even Farley's for a decent dining experience.

Easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Fantastic staff, great service, great beers. Skip Grace O'Malley's and come here for some craft beer. Love it!

We had the teriyaki salmon and the Hatch chicken Alfredo and they were wonderful. Our waitress was great. Very nice dinner and would highly recommend it. Definitely coming back!

I liked this place. I did not love it. I went with a group and desperately wanted a steak (but that way wayyyy out of my price range). I settled for the green chile chicken alfredo. It was decent. The beer was decent. I don't know if I'm chomping at the bit to get back here but I do appreciate that they accommodated our very large group with no issues. I will give them that it is Ruidoso and good restaurant selection is fair to poor.

Excellent meal! Peppercorn filet and salmon were cooked to perfection! Husband loved the pecan and stout beers! Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. This filet beats any other in Ruidoso! Kelly was an awesome waiter- will return each time in town.

Delicious food, fantastic beer and great service. Opened up with a beer sampler of Pancho Verde Chile Cerveza, Desert Pilsner, Alien Wheat and Alien Amber. For dinner we ordered the peppercorn filet and a porterhouse mushroom pork chop. Both came with vegetables & a loaded baked potato. Our waiter was attentive and various staff checked on us several times throughout the meal. We'll definitely be back!

The food, beer and service was great! I'm a picky steak person and my sirloin was cooked perfectly, medium-well. It was juicy and had lots of flavor. My husband had a prime rib whit was cooked perfectly for him, medium amd also was very flavorful. Definitely a place to go if you want a steak and microbrews!

This place welcomed us with open arms and a friendly smile. The craft beer was fantastic! We waited for a table for 30 minutes and it was well worth it. For starters, the honey sirracha chicken wings were perfection. Fried to a delicate crisp and covered in a tasty honey sirracha sauce...yummy!! My son had the Texas CFS, and there was nothing left on his plate, as he devoured the impeccable side dish of homemade mac n cheese. My hubby had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and he was equally satisfied. I settled for the chicken lasagne with green chills, which was recommend by our waiter, and I have to say I was not disappointed. Delicious and hot, and very flavorful. It was a great recommendation. The dining experience was exceptional, all the way around.

The service was good, the manager/owner (not sure which because he didn't introduce himself) seemed friendly, the food was good but ranged from pretty expensive to really expensive. They offer four children's options on the menu from $7 to $8 dollars! What toddler eats $8 worth of food? I asked for one chicken strip or anything they could offer as a side and they wouldn't accommodate that for my kiddo. They did however bring him two tomato slices. I ate a Cesar salad with a grilled chicken breast and it was great. The chicken was juicy and not dry. My dad had the Catfish Sammy and he really enjoyed it. They served large portions. We also ate a Brownie Sundae and it was delish. I would like to come back sometime and try some beer. The milk stout sounded yummy. I liked the atmosphere. I'll definitely return but probably not with my kid. There was a lot of items on the menu that I would like to try out.

My husband and I ate here tonight for our anniversary. This place was recommended by our hotel staff. I highly recommend! Our steaks were delicious, perfectly cooked. We sat upstairs on the patio, it had great ambiance plus that smell of mountain air! Four stars because: my husband ordered a ribeye, received a New York and the calamari appetizer was chewy.

A good find in a town without a wealth of great independent dining, and we were thrilled to find it open on a Monday evening. The Sierra Blanca brews are great, of course. Add to that an inspired menu from chef Keith Webber and excellent service from one of our favorite servers, Michelle. We loved the salad with goat cheese, strawberries, pears, candied walnuts. The tenderloin steak with a raspberry-peppercorn-Imperial Stout treatment was outstanding, and cooked exactly the way we requested. The wine list was pretty good, too. Sitting outside on the upstairs deck is wonderful in summer.

Really enjoyed the food and the beer here! All the food was light and fresh, very tasty and the beer selection was varied and also delicious. It wasn't very busy, but I was in on a Thursday. Hadn't yet been to Rio Grande, so decided to try it - wish I hadn't. Paid $5 for a glass of beer that I didn't like and didn't drink, and was charged for it anyway. The sandwich I got was very mediocre. And they sure were proud of their food. Will not go back.

My husband and I came here to eat lunch. We ordered an appetizer of hummus, and were both completely dissatisfied with it! First of all it didn't taste like hummus, or look like humus, it had no flavor, the "pita chips" were not pita chips at all, but more like fried crackers, and the serving size the hummus came in was absolutely ridiculous! It was one of those small dishes used to serve salad dressing in... for $7.00 I think that's absurd!! Don't get the hummus!! The green chili chicken alfredo was average, spicy, but pretty good. My husband got the brisket plate, which was nothing to write home about, but decent. Now, the desserts, that's a whole other story!!! They were amazing, I got the strawberry caramel cheesecake and my husband got the strawberry shortcake!! It was spectacular and we loved that they were made there. Overall the prices were too high, but if you want a great dessert, this is the place to go.

Have visited here multiple times and enjoy it every time I am in town. I love beer drinking but of course most breweries don't have that great of food. But this place has amazing food...bacon wrapped figs...hello..yum yum. That was my appetizer and I choose the green chicken Alfredo...fresh and tasty. So Im glad this place has it together with food and beer.

So glad Santa Fe Brewing opened a tap room in Ruidoso, which is lacking in eateries/pubs out of the ordinary. We enjoyed the sampler of 4 brews and a couple of pints - the Pecan beer was my fav by far- hint of sweetness on the finish. Varied food selections, also. Had the hummus and pita chips-good, just not enough hummus for big basket of chips. Server came to the rescue with extra hummus! Also tried BBQ wings( good chile sauce)! The Yankee sandwich( Reuben) was delish and hearty! You can also purchase 6 pks and growlers of their beers at comparable prices to the stores in town. Only complaint is beer wasn't cold enough for me . A chilled mug would have been appreciated.

Went to the tap room in early Jan 2014 after it received glowing 5 star reviews on yelp. We were visiting Ruidoso after the holiday rush. We were overall disappointed with the Tap Room. Waitress was nice but inexperienced. Food was average. Atmosphere is dark and sparse. We ordered: Bacon wrapped jalapeño peppers: pleased with dish. Our waitress said numerous times that the order came with 4, but would have them do 5 since that was the size of our party - no problem. She brought out 4 and said apologetically "the kitchen said they only come in an order of 4". Baked Brie with marmalade: disappointing. It came out so quickly because it was microwaved! The assembly was sloppy and all the pita chips were laying in a pool of marmalade. Everything got sticky. Filet mignon: cooked to order, satisfied with this dish. Philly cheese steak sandwich: yummy, I would order this again. Salmon on cedar plank: not cooked thoroughly, to the point of sending back. The part I did eat was good/average. Our waitress made a half-hearted offer to again "talk to the kitchen". Don't bother. Alfredo with chicken and green chili: average/edible. Chicken fried steak: average/edible, nothing exciting here. Positives: The beer selection is good, the flights are fun to try. Negatives: average food made by taking shortcuts and apparently the kitchen also manages the place.

Great food! The little green chile cornbread muffins that came before the meal were awesome! My husband had HighTide and liked it, but be warned it is SPICY! I had a steak that was melt in your mouth good! Only wish we had room for dessert!

The beer and home style fare seems to be the way to go here. Splurging for the daily mahi mahi special was sorely disappointing and quite pricey to boot. Stick with pub fare and you'll leave feeling like you got a good value for your money.

Beer is awesome and refreshing here. Pecan beer was out of this world. Loved our waitress for taking the time to explain everything in detail to us. Definitely a great place to drink after hitting the slopes all day. Had the beer flights with 4, 5oz tasters and not one beer was bad.

We are frequent visitors if Ruidoso. We like to try somewhere new every time! The food and beer here were amazing! We have a vegetarian and several picky eaters and everyone left full and happy! We will definitely be back!

Green chile stew and nut berry salad with a Nut Brown (GABF Golden and Silver medallist) was awesome. Great ambience with wonderful staff. Would recommend highly!

Beer is awesome and refreshing here. Pecan beer was out of this world. Loved our waitress for taking the time to explain everything in detail to us. Definitely a great place to drink after hitting the slopes all day. Had the beer flights with 4, 5oz tasters and not one beer was bad.

Bad Service and food was not up to our standard. Monte cristo type sandwich was soggy and when replaced found a hair in the chicken! Just gross!

Beautiful ambiance and excellent food. Last night I had the pear salad and did not leave a crumb on my plate and today I had the NY steak and it was AMAZING!
