The best...and I mean BEST green chile bacon cheeseburger I've ever had! Any time I'm in the Land of Enchantment this is a must-do!
Large, delicious burgers with friendly service. I had the green chile burger which was quite good. My wife ordered the southwest burger and really enjoyed it. The fries were crispy and full of flavor as well. The decor seemed to match the atmosphere which is super laid back old-school burger joint. Really enjoyed the vintage Ruidoso posters and photos on the wall.
This place was awesome if you are looking for a great local burger joint. We had a group of 9 people and all the different food we ordered was really great from the green chili cheese burger and the turkey melt, to the chicken salad. Fries were great as well. Not a fancy pants kind of place, but I think the dive atmosphere added to the experience. The service was excellent with a very friendly staff. They even provided us with some extra roasted green chili and didn't charge us for it. Will go again for sure. Love this place!

This place is hands down, a MUST while in Ruidoso! The service and the food is top notch. Our server not only had a wonderful attitude, she was very informative as this was our first time here. I had the Gyro and my husband had the Philly Cheesesteak. My kids had the Frito Pies. Everything was AMAZING! I will be making this my regular spot when in Ruidoso and recommend you do the same. You certainly won't regret it!
This place is a no frills place for a quick and tasty lunch. The seating is open air and covered by a tarp canopy. We ordered gyro's with sides of mustard potato salad and calabacitas, The gyro's were pretty good, potato salad was fine, but the calabacitas were amazing! Definitely recommend a side order of calabacitas.
Not the largest place but the food is awesome, the staff is great and it just a place you need to eat, the tacos were awesome

Great food!! Try the menudo, or the enchiladas, or the tacos. Always stop by La Hacienda when in Ruidoso.
We just got into town and I was craving Mexican food. We saw the great reviews on Yelp and this restaurant did not disappoint. I had the chili rellano and although it was different than what I've had previously, it tasted fabulous....just a slight bit too oily, though. My husband had a burrito and just loved it. Yes, it's a hole in the wall, but don't let that discourage you. The food and the service are very, very good and it's very clean inside. Seems to be family run and we like to go to those types of restaurants. Glad we stopped in.
When we first got to Ruidoso this was the first restaurant with 5 stars that I Yelp'd and it was right this place looked like a whole in the wall but had such good food. We went for breakfast and had Mexican food while the kids had pancakes and eggs, even the pancakes where delicious. Definitely worth stopping by and checking it out.

This is our second visit to Cornerstone and just like the last visit I really loved the entire experience!!!!! Food is amazing and staff is top notch!!!! The place is something special!!!!
We arrived at the place a few minutes before closing. In spite of this, they couldn't have been more accommodating. They prepared everything that we wanted and made sure that we weren't lacking for anything. Since it was after closing as we were eating, they were starting to put things away, but asked us several times if we wanted any coffee or pastries before they were put away for the night. My wife had a wrap, my son had a sandwich and I had a scramble. All were really tasty and the portion size was good. Everyone was friendly and asked us several times if we were needing anything. They didn't push us to finish up early even though I'm sure they were ready to go home. If/when we are back in Ruidoso, we will be back here - but promise to come in earlier.
The best place in Ruidoso to eat. The food is amazing. The French toast and the Colorado croissant I highly recommend. The wait staff is sweet and kind. Good people, good food, and to die for desserts. The only place we can depend on in Ruidoso to be as great as it was the previous visit.

This is the cleanest and most enjoyable atmosphere. The owner is very interactive with all the customers. The food is fresh, hot, and always delicious. The tea and ice is the best in town.
Wow!! Friendly and helpful. I've never been in a restaurant with such wonderful customer service!! Very personable and caring. Food was amazing as well! Thank you! Thank you! You guys are a model of hospitality!
It's schlotskys...but there is something special about this one. Maybe the mountain air...maybe the employees care, I dunno. I can tell you this. We were tired on our 25th anniversary, and decided to eat here and for go an expensive dinner. It was GREAT! We both giggle now about our fancy celebration lol. Schlotskys is my favorite fast food ever, but this one stands taller than the others. Yummo

Wow! Great price and great lunch. My black beans were a bit salty and spicy in some bites and the hubbins bacon cheeseburger was demolished with the hand cut fries(YUM). Nice place for lunch, staff is quick and very friendly and I would recommend stopping here when your in town.
Good Service, Good Food, Nice View while eating, staff and manager were so friendly. Please get your liquor license so I can come have Bloody Mary next time. Overall, I would definitely come back any way; had a nice glass of Moscato and hubby had a Blue Moon.
Stopped here for lunch while road tripping through NM/TX. For a small little town (relatively), this joint did a great job catering to different taste pallets. The menu has plenty of vegetarian options! And really great tasting salsa!

If you love coffee, this place is a must! Friendly waitstaff, knowledgeable barista's relaxing atmosphere during the day and good open mic nights on Friday nights.
First of all, this place is nestled in a little shopping center. The entrance driveway is almost across from Burro Lane. I missed it the first time I drove past because I was on a scooter and trying not to get runover by traffic. It's very nice inside. There's a fireplace in the room. Not sure if it works. If it does, this would be a GREAT place to keep warm during the colder months. Everyone is very friendly. They also show movies in one of the rooms. Nice outdoor patio area too. Bonus for the guys: lots of hottie girls seem to frequent this place. 'Cause that's important for us guys when getting wired on caffeine. Speaking of wired...they have a desktop computer that's available to rent. They also have free wi-fi with a very strong signal. They coffee is as you would expect and the cookies are deee-licious. I didn't try any of the sandwiches and other menu items. I would definitely come back to this place!
This is what I look for in a coffee shop! I ordered a caramel macchiato and chocolate chip cookie and both were super delicious! Friendly service. Comfy chairs. Eclectic decor, local art (I LOVE when a restaurant/shop has good local art) and a fire place (gas) makes it more unique than your average coffee shop. My husband and I sat and played chess for about an hour. Parking was kind of a pain though, due to sharing the lot with other businesses. My only complaint...if I had to complain.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Ruidoso! They are the most personable, and Shannon, one of the owners, makes all the food herself. They make sure to get on a first name basis with everyone they can, and they don't have a high turnover rate, so they can do that. They have free wi-fi of course. Also, Shannon makes beautiful gift baskets - made to order! She is so creative!
Coffee tasted burnt....wish they would brew their lighter roast. Freezing cold inside, but have outside seating so was fine. Blueberry muffin was awesome. Friendly staff. Just not my favorite coffee.
Really tasty coffee. Ordered the iced creamy hazelnut latte. It was delicious. Everything else on the menu looked very good. Can't wait to try more flavors next time I am in Ruidoso

This place is small and cute with delicious food. Wanted to try their famous Eggs Benedict, but we came on a Friday (served Saturday & Sunday only). Cooked joked with us that it was against FDA regulations to serve that much cholesterol. I ordered the pecan and blueberry pancakes which were awesome. My husband ordered the egg plate and ate every bite telling me it was a breakfast win. House blend coffee was great too.
We went as a larger group (8) and waited about 30 minutes for a seat on the patio on a Sunday, which I didn't think was bad. Between us, we had huevos rancheros about as many different ways as could be ordered, (tomatillo sauce, red sauce, green sauce, eggs every different way) and two breakfast burritos. Everyone seemed reasonably happy with their order, although we didn't get anything that was too difficult. Service was a cute, older lady that was running around pretty frantic but was very nice and didn't miss anything. It was good..fine..decent and made better by the lack of competition. :) We'd go back.
I would have loved to eat on the patio but this place was packed! I had the half order of heavies rancheros with green sauce- I didn't love the sauce but the beans and egg were great. Chips and salsa were delicious. Also to try their Mexican lunch I did have a chicken enchilada- red sauce was good. This is a good cheap place For a breakfast:brunch.

I'm a big time fan, wishing we'd come by when we arrived, instead of the night before departure! Something to remember for next time It's a funky place, reminding me of Austin. Mr Potato Head collection, license plates on the ceiling, but it's clean. And the pizza guy spins the crust while you watch-- no secrets here. The service is not sugary but it's good and they possess a quick, if sarcastic wit. We had a house salad-- fresh, and the celery seed vinegarett is outstanding. Perfect pizza--crispy, sweet/spicy tomato sauce with quality mozzarella, plenty of topping. Try the Italian sausage, omg.
This was a very small restaurant (so prepare to wait during peak hours). They only accept cash, which in this day and age is totally awkward. Be warned. The food was absolutely delicious. The quality of the pizza dough, and it's preparation was top notch. The perfect amount of crispy and chewy in the same pizza. The topping choices were fantastic. I also had the Greek salad. Very fresh, with a nice amount of toppings. It was a summer treat, and a good value as well. Dessert was scratch made chocolate cake. It was very good. Not over-the-top delicious, but still a good value for the price. Service was prompt and friendly. We would definitely recommend and won't hesitate to go back on our future trips to downtown.
Cafe Rio is awesome pizza and that is saying alot as we've had the best from NY & Chi Town. Don't go here thinking your going to be glitz and glamoured. Its a hole in the wall, cash only, very chill place that makes thin pizza that is damn good. We've gotten multiple pizza variations from the meat pizza to pepperoni etc. We usually stick w/the large meat pizza and a large greek salad for 2 of us and usually take 3-4 slices home. They also offer a generous military discount which is always a welcome for those that serve. There can be a long wait at times but going off peak lunch or dinner times you'll be fine, if during the busy times expect 60-90min. Or take your pizza to go and roll over to a park, we've done that many times also. There is no other pizza that comes close if your in the alamogordo/ruidoso area. Cash only, they do have an ATM on site.
