I love this place! My wife and I stopped for breakfast on the way through Gallup, NM. The food was great: great taste, well prepared, good quality, home-style, and authentic (from my experience). The staff was warm and friendly and they made us feel very welcome. (Our waitress filled our big travel coffee mugs at no cost and also our water containers). I could just tell from the vibe of the place that the people there enjoy working there and that it is a community gem. (The Mexican radio in the kitchen, the cook singing and calling out, the local police eating breakfast, other travelers chatting with each other). I wish this place lots of business because they deserve it!

This may be my new favorite Sunday brunch place in Gallup. To begin with, it's open on Sundays, which most local places aren't. BOTH the red and green are vegetarian, so two thumbs up. The red is better than the green. The hash browns are EXCELLENT. The beans have actual flavor and aren't gray. I was a little disappointed that the egg on top of my enchiladas was over easy instead of over medium, but otherwise, everything delicious. The free salsa is hot and a little cucumbery for my taste, but otherwise excellent. I also really dig the old diner vibe.

On our way to las Vegas Nevada to a hair show we stopped here and were blown away by the food. Spotless restrooms. This lady was cleaning the whole time we were there.. so on our way back we stopped again ate and got food to go... five stars all day.. AMAZING

Kinda ghetto....maybe having some sewage problems. But the food was ok. I had a taco salad with no shell and no beans plus green and red chile. Pretty tasty but not sure I'd return. Service was weird and the interior was kinda yucky.

TACO fan! Their taco dinner was the best I've had in GLP. Added some sour cream and poured on some hot sauce and it was shear heaven. I ordered the hard-shelled taco plate and it was huge. My niece ordered the chicken quesadilla plate which was the size of a pizza. Really good food. I will definitely return.

Stopped by this restaurant because it was next to the hotel I was staying at and they give a 10% discount to hotel guests. I was greeted at the door by a friendly hostess and quickly offered a menu. I ordered enchiladas with red and green chili and ate nearly the entire large plate of enchiladas smothered with sauce, beans and Spanish rice. I walked out completely stuffed. Minus one star because they didn't serve margaritas and I really wanted one after my long drive

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
