Very Very Good Food. I have never had a bad meal here the Owners started baileys bistro years ago and when they left it went diwn hill and keeps falling. When Al & Donna opened Franklins all there loyal Customers came there and have never looked back. Beef Tips are the Best anywhere, Seaks are very good, Thunderbird Salad, The Katie Melt, Chicken Fetichini Alfrado is what olive garden with theres was hands down the BEST!!!

I have found the going a little tough sometimes in Norfolk for food. I get spoiled traveling to Omaha, which is just a great food city. Two hour north and west puts you squarely in beef country. So I asked the hotel for a burger recommendation... the guy almost drooled when he recommended this place. So, a 50/50 is a must. Not many places do a burger this way. It came out on a ciabatta bun and with blue cheese per my request. It was almost ridiculously good. Cooked perfectly. Tender. Seasoned and salty. And perfect with the sweet potato fries I ordered. I also had a specialty tap beer... Matilda from Goose Island. It is a high alcohol beer and it was under $5. And... try to find a beer like this elsewhere in town. Solid place and I will return!

My husband and I frequent Franklins often, and we love it. The staff is friendly, the bartenders are true mixologists ;) and the food is always PERFECT. We were sad when the scallops left the menu, but there are plenty of other options. We love the beef tips, buffalo shrimp, button mushrooms... I haven't had anything I don't like. Keep up the good work!

Awesome! Clean dining establishment with a full bar. Service was great! Food was way better than expected. Definitely #1 on the list if you are passing through and trying to decide on a place to eat.

I love this place. My boyfriend and I go here on occasions. Expensive, but great food. They serve smaller portions than most places, but the taste is full of flavor. I always get what I'm in the mood for. If you chat with the waitress, she will make sure your expectations are met.

Very good food!!! But very SLOW service!!! Had to wait over an hour to finally see any food. I finally called the desk at the front (using my YELP app -- how handy :) ), and asked if I could order out a pizza. She told me no, they did not have pizza on the menu. So I asked if I could get anything at all! When she asked who I was I said I'm the guy at the table in the middle of their restaurant starving with six of my compatriots!! They immediately scrambled to get our food to us. It should never take that long.

Service was horrible. We received two courses that belonged to another table. Food service slow. Food was mediocre at best. I want to like the place but can't find a reason to.

Great Food, Service and atmosphere! We are in from out of town for an extended stay and found this gem of a restaurant in Norfolk. Based on a lot of other experiences in this town, this is by far the best. Kelli has taken great care of us a couple times for dinner and Jessie for lunch. The menu is a breath of fresh air with lots of great choices including some really good salads with homemade dressings. The filet was perfectly cooked on one visit and the Jambalaya had a good kick to it. We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits and plan at least a couple more before we leave. Donna and her team really know how to do it right!

Ate there tonight; this is the first meal I've enjoyed in the five years of vising Norfolk. I've tried them all and no one measures up to the tastiness of the food served by Franklin's. Good service, good atmosphere, good prices! Highly recommend them!

This place is a new, casual American place with a surprisingly expansive menu, as well as a full service bar. And when I say casual, I mean casual. I went to lunch here with some coworkers and I can say Franklin's attracts diners both young and old, but mostly of the more seasoned variety. I had a sandwich called Dustin's 50-50, a 1/2 pound burger that has a patty half beef and half bacon. It's not bad, although I can say it seems to be about 80% beef and 20% bacon. It was a bit salty too, probably from the bacon. But it was pretty tasty and comes on a sourdough-type bun which tastes better than your standard burger bun. Fries were good but nothing special. The waitress was attentive and refilled drinks regularly; the kitchen was a tad slow that I would attribute to adjustment pains from having just opened recently. Overall, Franklin's is a nice edition to the Norfolk dining scene.

A great local alternative to the chain dinners, looking at you Applebee's. Great service, decent menu variety, reasonable prices, and a fully stocked bar. The avocado egg rolls are delicious and if you think your arteries are too soft, go for the 50/50 burger...4oz of ground beef & 4oz of ground bacon.

Franklin's Bistro was a pleasant surprise on a recent June 2015 visit to Norfolk NE. So good that we ended up eating there twice on a week visit. Both times the staff was extremely friendly, the food was very enjoyable home cooked style and the atmosphere was quiet and causal. I would definitely go here again if I'm in the area.

This place is good. They have a great menu selection! I got a almond avocado coconut chicken salad. For a small town business this was a great salad! I just wish the lettuce wasn't iceberg. However, when traveling to any small town it's nice to have some good healthy options. This place was perfect for that. Everything was homemade and the bread was amazing!

This place does it right. Prime rib sammich, and fries with the extended family. It was a tad thin, a tad dry, but overall very well done. Biting into the sandwich it had a small amount of "pull" to it. If it were a little thicker, it would've been done perfect. Grilled ciabatta bread was so buttery and awesome! The steak Gorgonzola was awesome too, smoky, cheesy, very well done. The chili was fantastic. I only got tastes of them, but from what I tasted, it was very good. The fries are the picture perfection of fries. They should run a school for every other restaurant on how to make perfect fries. Crispy yet potato in the middle. Salt balance was spot on. We've been here a few times and its always worth the trip. My only complaint, it's hard to choose, the menu is massive!
