Good cheap, Mexican food, call ahead during lunch and supper if you are on the go or don't have the patience to wait.
The food here is great. Good prices too. The wait can get a little long around meal times but it's worth it.
Great food!! Very impressed!!! Spicy chicken burrito is an excellent choice. Fast service! Friendly place to sit down for a meal!

A sausage and sauerkraut pizza from this location travelled all the way to San Antonio, TX, and sat 48 hours in a freezer before being baked. It was still delicious and fresh tasting!

Culver’s Frozen Custard and Butterburgers

Reviews:
Always a good experience at this Culver's! Today, using the drive-thru, the Culver's person welcomed me and even announced her name! Never had that happen at any fast food drve-thru. Thank You Culver's for serving great food and always having friendly personnel helping your customers.
Butter Burgers aren't bad, but I also don't feel like I'm eating a burger. The meat is so crispy and thin that you barely taste the meat. It makes them unique, I guess, but I don't crave for eating a meat chip when I want a burger, I want a juicy patty. They don't have traditional shoe string fries, which is my favorite. Onion rings have too much batter on them. However.... I do love their custard, which is pretty much ice cream with a fancy name. Come here for the custard at least. Customer service is usually good. However, I came in one time and the cashier tried to push me to get something that I had no intention of eating. There must've been some competition going on among employees, but the girl was sooo pushy that I just had to laugh. That was weird.
This was a nice Culver's. We were in town for a wedding and this was very near our hotel. It is your typical Culver's and not much of a differentiation from others. I deducted one star for something I never noticed before. I wasn't feeling like a burger so I ordered fried chicken. They only had two options, a two piece and a four piece. I know this is nit-picky, but for me two is too few, four is too much. I really don't know why they wouldn't offer a three piece? Maybe they do and its not on the menu. But everything was delicious.

Very Very Good Food. I have never had a bad meal here the Owners started baileys bistro years ago and when they left it went diwn hill and keeps falling. When Al & Donna opened Franklins all there loyal Customers came there and have never looked back. Beef Tips are the Best anywhere, Seaks are very good, Thunderbird Salad, The Katie Melt, Chicken Fetichini Alfrado is what olive garden with theres was hands down the BEST!!!
I have found the going a little tough sometimes in Norfolk for food. I get spoiled traveling to Omaha, which is just a great food city. Two hour north and west puts you squarely in beef country. So I asked the hotel for a burger recommendation... the guy almost drooled when he recommended this place. So, a 50/50 is a must. Not many places do a burger this way. It came out on a ciabatta bun and with blue cheese per my request. It was almost ridiculously good. Cooked perfectly. Tender. Seasoned and salty. And perfect with the sweet potato fries I ordered. I also had a specialty tap beer... Matilda from Goose Island. It is a high alcohol beer and it was under $5. And... try to find a beer like this elsewhere in town. Solid place and I will return!
My husband and I frequent Franklins often, and we love it. The staff is friendly, the bartenders are true mixologists ;) and the food is always PERFECT. We were sad when the scallops left the menu, but there are plenty of other options. We love the beef tips, buffalo shrimp, button mushrooms... I haven't had anything I don't like. Keep up the good work!

Sakura Sushi & Steakhouse

1226 Riverside Blvd
Norfolk, 68701
Reviews:
Sakura offers a more upscale dinner option for Norfolk. I have been on both the dining side and the grill side. Both sides are nice and good service for the most part. The grill side is fun and the cook is always funny and keeps you entertained. The food is great and you can order sushi from the grill side. I usually go for the sushi and sneak food off my husband's plate. The only downside of ordering sushi from the grill side, is a few times I feel like they forgot about me. Everyone had been served their food and I was still waiting for my Sushi. The quickly got it for me once they realized what was going on, but I don't appreciate being forgotten about when everyone else is already eating. The dining side is nice, and you can order the Hibachi from that side as well. It usually doesn't take long at all to get your food and it is always excellent. The sushi is always great and picture perfect. I would recommend this for anyone looking for great sushi in the area, or a fun meal with the family. However, the down side it is quite pricey, but it is sushi and that is to be expected.
Great hibachi. Delicious, entertaining, and fast. What else could you ask for? I ordered the hibachi filet mignon medium rare, and they cooked a great piece of beef to perfection. It is a hibachi grill only, so don't come in expecting to have a 10-oz filet ever sitting on your plate -- the meat will be sliced and diced to perfection before it lands on your plate. The requisite utensil flipping, fire show (including the onion volcano), and chopping skills were on display. The sake and beer selection could be a little more robust, but I can understand how that might be an expensive proposition for a business that just started.
The rice was stale, and the manager embarrassed one of his employees in front of everyone. The fish on top, and inside, the sushi was fine, but the rice was hard. Our server was a super sweet young girl, who did a great job. However, she made a mistake on the table next to us; she misheard them when they asked for a lobster roll. She had thought they said ' Boston roll". The manager caused a big scene, refusing to comp the mistake and embarrassing her in front of all of her tables. When the table went to pay, the server picked up the payment and then the manager made a point to say something rude to her and snatch it out of her hands. We, and the table involved, both felt really bad for her- actually striking up a conversation about how uncalled for his actions were. On the way out, we thought we could help the situation by letting them know that our server did a great job. When my boyfriend tried to stop the manager and tell him that he liked the server, and that maybe next time he shouldn't treat her like that, the manager actually did a motion in my boyfriend's face like he was shooing away a cat, and walked away from him in mid-sentence. We turned to the bartender and asked who was the manager's boss, and the bartender said no one- the manager was the highest ranked person in the building. We feel bad because that girl was like 20 years old, super nice, and newly pregnant, and we might have gotten her fired by trying to help.

Michaels’s Cantina

Not as authentic as they advertise. I've been to my fair share of Mexican places around the country and I wasn't terribly impressed by Michael's. We started with the guacamole appetizer. No chips? It was literally five bucks for a small cup of this. It was actually some of the least appealing guac I've ever had. Very slimy in texture and not much flavor. This wasn't fresh at all, but either some store bought or day old mix. For the first time in my life I didn't finish the guac that I was served. The sweet potato fries sounded appealing, but they were not so good either. Very soggy and undercooked. No ketchup? At least there was hot sauce... I wasn't in the mood for anything after those two appetizers. Not to mention they don't have much that's vegetarian at all. At least the hostess and waitress were pleasant. Three stars may be overly generous...
I was not impressed at all. I've heard people around town talk this place up, so naturally I had to give it a try. I was expecting Authentic food and great Margaritas. As they say they have some of the best in town. Nope. The food was not authentic. It was very average, nothing special about it. We did have chips and salsa, and that was pretty good, but it's hard to screw that up. The Margaritas we alright, they we decently priced, which was great and all, but nothing special. You do get a good sized portion, and it's very reasonably priced. The menu is large and you do have plenty of options. The staff was friendly and the food came quick. I just don't think the food is worth it. It's just not that impressive. Even my Husband, who likes just about any Mexican food, was not impressed. I wouldn't suggest this place.
I'll chime in that the jalapeño bottle caps are worth a try - definitely also the margaritas and bean dip (which comes in an edible flour tortilla bowl) - but when it comes to entrees, just a-ok. I had the beef taco and chicken enchilada combo plate. And don't get me wrong, I ate all of it, but it was really average in terms of Mexican food. Pretty reminiscent of a plate you could have at any other Midwest Mexican restaurant. Edible yet forgettable.
