The food was delicious! Great spot in Lincoln for a variety of different sandwiches and fresh salads. The fried pickles are awesome and the dipping sauce is fabulous! I ordered the PB Blue cheese burger and if was great. Fresh and moist, the beef was solid! I would definitely return in the future! I want to try a salad next time!

Possibly one of my favorite joints in Lincoln. We frequent this nice quiet little hangout often and are never disappointed. Keep up the good work! Food and service are always amazing!!

Went for lunch with four co-workers. It was close to 1:00 in the afternoon and it was busy. I had a BLT on white toast with cottage cheese as a side. Lots if bacon! Very good. My co-workers had the BBQ sandwich and a hamburger. No complaints from anyone. Great place for lunch with a large bar for after work. Wait staff was fine although it took some time for our food to arrive. Approximately 20 minutes. A long time for lunch.

Just finished the Carolina bbq burger. Holy cow! Talk about some serious flavor! I've heard lots about toast, I frequent their sister restaurant LeadBelly in the hay market and have heard lots about this place. I figured I better come see if this place was approved. The atmosphere is really nice at TOAST. They have gourmet coffee, wine, beer, and some fantastic food. I came with a group of people and we all ordered something different. No one would shut up about how great their meal was... Also the service was fantastic TOAST is a must try if you like LeadBelly. I'll be back again soon.

The restaurant is situated in a splendid new area of town. I'd heard this place was worth a visit and was happy to have visited on a splendid summers evening with my wife. The experience was a bit hit and miss to be honest. My wife's dish was a Tuna Melt Sandwich with a hint of curry, simple but good quality and well executed especially as Tuna which can be dry. The serving size was more than ample and we landed up taking half home, not a bad problem I guess. I had the Tilapia with rice and fresh veggies, the fish could have stood up with the amount of salt/seasoning on it. Had to re-fire the dish and the second attempt which was much better with the seasoning left on the side for my discretion which was a very good call. I'll be back even if it's an odd kind of coffee shop/cafe/bar/restaurant. The cross branding with the Mill and Toast is confusing from a marketing and consumer perspective. Like trying to squeeze too many good ideas into one brand. The door has both names and logos on the front, upon entering it looks like a coffee shop but then there's a restaurant and bar area on the sides. Love the decor which was a mix of old reclaimed wood from other local buildings with modern industrial infusions. We will return for another summers evening laid back dinner.

Quick and delicious, I had soup and a sandwich on my lunch break and it was fabulous. Very well lit and perfect atmosphere for a lunch meeting.

Not sure what people see in this place. The place doesn't know what it is. Is it a bar? Is it a coffee shop? Or is it a restaurant? Make up your mind. Food was terrible and of poor quality for the price. Hubby had the 1/2 sandwich and salad and his sandwich half was smaller then one we could have made at home. I had the Reuben and the meat was grissly and way overdone. Avoid the bleu cheese dressing, they make it in house and it does not resemble bleu cheese dressing at all and it's disgusting. Don't bother stopping in Fallbrook for Toast, drive 10 more minutes down to the Haymarket and get yourself some real food.

You're not going to see a lot of farmer types in this place, but the food is good. The service was very good, but you should understand that you're not going to get in and out of this place in a hurry. I took the wife and my 3 kids on a Friday night and everybody ordered something different. It was all good... from the hot wings to the grilled cheese to the reuben to the pasta. The coffee was excellent (says the wife), and we all enjoyed a variety of desserts from apple pie and ice cream, just ice cream, and a fancy, shmancy cupcake. The only complaints is that it isn't a little closer to home, but we'll drive the 30 minutes it takes to get there because you'll get a great meal.

A quick caffeine stop on our road trip from Mpls to Denver. It's a little off the beaten path but worth the trip. Nice people, quiet atmosphere. I also grabbed beans to go so I can wake up caffeinated at home tomorrow.

Toast works in that weird way, you can have one table throwing back beers (ours) and a family with small children enjoying mini corndogs in harmony. The waitstaff is attentive and genuinely seem to love the people who come in, from first timers to regulars from the surrounding neighborhoods. The menu is an amazing hodge podge of traditional and intriguing items. I tried the Bourbonade first. I enjoyed that it wasn't too lemony nor did it have an overwhelming pop taste. Very mellow and the right amounts of everything to wash down any of the delicious bites on the menu. The mellowness did have the effect of making the drink seem watered down, but as my table concluded this could mean one of two things; I'm coming up on a drinking problem, or it's a sneaky drink, one that catches up to you after two and now you're drunk in the bathroom telling girls how much you love their shoes (ok if you're a girl, not so much if you're a guy..in case you were wondering). Next up (and pretty much the most important part of this review) are the wings for Wednesday Wine & Wings Night. 50 cent wings! Will these wings take up the void that is the day after/before BWW's special days. With so many flavor choices (buffalo hot or hotter than hot, honey mustard, espresso bbq, and sweet & spicy Asian chili) you certainly feel like a kid in the candy store, thoroughly satisfied with your OG flavors (like buffalo hot) and fun new kids on the block(honey mustard anyone). My table tried both the Asian chili and the espresso bbq (because we are at a hybrid coffeehouse so yes get everything with espresso in it) both different experiences. I really love Asian chili sauce especially when they get the kick level right (insert martial arts joke here) which Toast has achieved on all counts. I always have a quarrel with the fact that restaurants don't seem to season their chicken wings anymore if there is a sauce slathered on it, but that's never going to change. The wings were hot and fresh and enjoyed by all anyway. The espresso bbq wings were another story. I wasn't quite sure what I was expecting. Certainly not for them to taste like a cup of coffee sauce (which they didn't) but would they be bbq-ey at all? Would I need the accompanying ranch or bleu cheese? The chicken was hot and fresh and quality wings. I couldn't discern a real coffee flavor, just a mild bbq so I felt slightly shafted. I expected these to be in your face (so yeah maybe I lied about the cup of coffee sauce comment) but maybe they are better this way. Just a faint reminder that you can also get a great cup of coffee here, if you're into that sort of thing.

Toast has a well priced lunch special featuring a half sandwich and soup or salad. I really enjoyed my Schoolhouse Club on Black Russian bread and cup of Tomato Dill soup. They are full over the noon hour, so come a little early or you may wait a bit.

Terrible brunch. No eggs. Service was agonizingly slow. The establishment was in disarray and there were about 10 tables of customers to 4-5 waitstaff. Do brunch elsewhere.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, and plenty of choices. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy some healthy or comfort food. My server was more than happy to accommodate any changes I wanted to make to the menu item I chose. Thank you for creating yet another great small business.

Great place! Had a couple salads the one with almonds and cranberries with salmon instead of chicken and was delicious! Also tried the fried green beans and boom! Juicy, meaty, crisp! The menu is sentimental because it shows historical items around Nebraska that are within the building! The service was phenomenal, the drinks were great and cheap!! Loving that there's outside seating. Overall a great little gem in the burbs :)! A+

Okay last time must have been a fluke. Second visit was much better, Reuben and all. Go for the comfort food here and you'll thank me later.

Popular lunch spot since I work in the area, they have a monopoly on that area. No other eating establishment around for quite a ways. Been there twice and it is consistent. Basically it's a sandwich and small menu shop. Had the "Hob Knob" and Andoille and Black Bean soup. Both were great, Hob Knob was on toasted wheat, smoked ham, spicy mayo, loaded with lettuce, sliced tomato, peppers, and swiss cheese. It was good, the ham was the best part, smoky, warm, just right. A touch of yellow mustard would have made it irresistible. I could have ordered a plateful by itself. The andoille and black bean soup was good too. Both had a little kick to them. Andoille was sparse, but there was an abundance of black beans. Nothing to rave about, but not awful either. It wasn't busy, but service was snail slow. We had a big party but even after ordering and service, it took forever for refills and getting the checks. For roughly $10, not bad.

Went here on a Sunday for lunch around 1 pm. Love the woodwork and high ceilings, makes for an open feel. Ordered the French Dip sandwich w/potato salad. The sandwich was solid. It may be a little salty for some people. The potato salad was good. Wife had a salad and daughter had some sort of cheese sandwich w/fries. We all enjoyed our meals. Service was good but not great, I agree with other Yelpers about the dress code or lack there of for the servers. Will eat here again next time in north part of town.

Great out-of-the-way place north of Lincoln. Good food, great service. I really like the way they are set up as a coffee bar on one side and a sit-down restaurant on the other. We've been there for both! Our first trip, we had an appointment nearby in a couple of hours, so we stopped in for coffee and hang out. Coffee is very good and they have free wifi. We had an enjoyable and leisurely wait. We've been back a couple of times now for meals and the sit-down side is just as good. Menu has some great selections and the service has always been top notch. This place is a local gem!

What a gorgeous spot! I was immediately wooed by the beautiful storefront. Our greeting was warm and friendly, and the coffee was very fresh and full-bodied. It was a great place to stop on our drive from MI to CO. I'm a yoga instructor and I wanted to hold class in the back room :) what a great space with lots of natural light and good vibes :) maybe future business opportunity? ;) thank you!

Never had a bad experience here. Every sandwich, burger, or salad that I have had has been top notch. Most recently I had the patty melt which was grilled perfectly and had a great taste to it. My only complaints, and the reason I am giving it only 4 stars is the food sometimes takes a long time to come out, and the french fries are pretty average. Otherwise, I am a big fan of this restaurant.

Wonderful place, big portions and good service. Stopped in before the lunch crowd and thankful we did because it was packed! Got the southern sloppy joe and it was super filling and tasty. Big mason jars full of drinks. My meal was $10. Say what?! Great deal.

Short Version- AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Long Version - NEVER, EVER, have I in my 10+ years of eating out all over the country and the world, have I experienced a place as TERRIBLE as Toast. If it were possible to give this place NEGATIVE stars, I would!!! (you'll also notice on my profile I don't give many bad reviews) The *ONLY* reason they exist is because the area is newer, with very limited options. They've got a monopoly and boy are they A&&holes about it! Through this whole ordeal, I am still smiling and remaining calm and professional. The following takes place within ONE MINUTE: 1) I walk in with a half dozen cupcakes in a container for my hubbys birthday wearing a sequined hat (it was st. pattys) 2) Someone glares at me (later I find out this is the owner) 3) Girl 1 behind counter asks to help, I tell her its a surprise, she offers to help 4) Within 10 seconds Girl 2 comes to me and tells me that the owner asked her to tell me to leave with my cupcakes 5) I apologize to Girl 2, explain that its hubbys birthday, ask if I can just take one cupcake with candle, even promise not to eat 6) She rudely states NO - No one apologizes. Its clear they want me to leave. 7) I ask Girl 1 if they have cupcakes I could buy - girl says yes. Looks mortified but can't say anything as its coming from owner 8) While Girl 1 is getting a cupcake, Girl 3 comes over to tell me to leave with my cupcakes or leave my cupcakes in the car 9) I tell her yes, I'm putting the cupcakes away in my car, just let me grab a candle from the container 10) Owner glares, walks over and RUDELY tells me I need to leave. 11) I manage to get a candle out and hand to Girl 1, with everyone glaring at me and continuing to tell me i need to leave. Mind you Yelpers and readers, while I was out putting the cupcakes away in my car, they already brought out the cupcake to my hubby. They didn't think they should wait until I returned to see him be surprised!! Common Sense Much??! I'm not an emotional person. It's a business and I definitely understand that they have policy against outside food. Most restaurants do make exceptions for occasions like birthdays. But Toast is not your regular business. I had no idea they served cupcakes having just moved to the area. (which btw, were stale and not good, but did look pretty). It's ridiculous that they treated me like a criminal over a few little cupcakes. Who were they really hurting?? I'm a newlywed and this was the first time we got to celebrate my DH's birthday together. It was extremely hurtful and COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. Seriously, owner of toast, How hard is it to apologize???! A simple, "I'm really sorry but you can't bring that in, would you like to get one of ours?" would have done. Instead the owner got emotionally upset and wanted me and my contraband gone because the she was sooo worried that someone would see the outside food!! Talk about BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! They treated me as if I was a cheap hooker coming into a fancy 4 star restaurant - instead of just a wife trying to surprise her husband at a neighborhood bar/cafe. AFTER all of this fiasco, I did not create a scene and get everyone at our table to leave because it was hubbys bday. They did not even bother to ask if I wanted to eat or drink anything!! - as if they had a vendetta against me. Mind you, I was upset but remained professional, composed and quiet because my mama taught me better! Pretty sure any other place would have AT LEAST comped me a drink and apologized - instead I was simply ignored! We were a group of 8+ with multiple rounds and food going on, so our collective business was likely somewhere around $500+. As a business major, I can't understand an owner who would cause so much heartache and create drama over a $3.25 stale cupcake!!! Is this how she thinks she needs to go after sales? Yelpers, I am shocked beyond belief! Their food from what I hear from 5+ people who frequent this place is that it is bland and takes a while to come but is edible and since there's no other place in the area, they go back. TBQH, their bartender are flat-chested girls who lack personality and make bad jokes with old men hoping for a few dollars. ( I observed this bit but was so dumbfounded by everything else- was just amused on the inside) I can't wait to see how long they last with their backwards business policy and terrible service. WORST PLACE EVER! If you're in the area, you are MUCH better off driving a bit to Haymarket/Downtown or hitting up a less snobby place.

Thought the food was really good, but this establishment has some serious management & staffing issues. Several of the people working this night clearly have no proper training or understanding of customer service. Some just have a bad attitude and shouldn't be working with customers. When a customer walks up to the bar there's no excuse for the people working behind it not to smile or even acknowledge the customer with a simple Hello etc. One of the people in our group of five clearly ordered a salmon salad and was brought chicken instead. Then it took twice as long for the correct meal to finally be served just as everyone else was finishing up. The server dropped the bill off without asking if we needed to have separate billing, and then after waiting & waiting I finally had to chase her down to get it straightened out. Nobody acknowledged us with a Thank You or Good Night as we were leaving even though we walked right by a large group of the staff hanging out at the bar while a few others were busy getting ready to close. I wouldn't be surprised to see this place on Food Networks "Restaurant Impossible" with Chef Robert Irvine chewing out the owner for allowing such poor management & staffing practices. Good food only goes so far and Toast fell quite short of the overall dining experience mark on the night we visited.

Customer service was ridiculous. Asked to add a plain scrambled egg to biscuits and gravy (craziness, I know) and was told "no, it couldn't be done because the cooks would get mad at her," even though it was breakfast time and they had eggs on the menu. Asked to speak to a manager and she did not get management. Obviously customer service is not a priority at this place.

If I was a Lincoln resident I could really be known on a first name basis here. The place rocks, and I found it thanks to Yelp and sticking around our hotel. Everything on the menu is really good, and they have great TVs all around to watch sports. I could even bring my dog with me, they are allowed next to the outdoor seating.

Stopped in to get a drink to go. The cashier dealt with a gentleman ahead of me and as he walked off, she looked at his receipt and said to the two girls on each side of her " nice, no tip, thanks!" It seemed so unprofessional to not only say that but say it right in front of me, another customer. Ive always liked the toast but alot of my friends and I notice the servers are not very friendly and make you wait alot and hardly show thanks for business. Alot is about the location. Prices high for amount you get.

I've been here twice so far, and both times I really enjoyed it. It's a casual yet eclectic atmosphere, and good for anything from a casual meeting, to a gathering with friends, to a family dinner. Their seating is a little unusual as you usually need to write down your name on a list and wait to be seated. I do wish that there were some seats available to wait in, but depending on how busy it is, you might not have to wait very long. The first time I went, it was fairly busy, and we waited for about 15 minutes. Not too bad, but the hostess sat us at a table before having it cleared, and it still had the dirty dishes from the previous occupants. Not a huge complaint, but still a bit weird. One of the better things about this place is that they have Cardinal pale ale on tap, and I would definitely recommend it whether you are a "beer snob" or not. (In a mason jar, if you're up for it.) I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich the first time, and it was excellent-- I would get it again. My companion got the NY Strip steak and it was cooked a little on the rare side, and was absolutely tasteless. I wouldn't recommend it. The second time we had a coconut shrimp appetizer, and it was pretty good--the shrimp were very big, which was nice. Although they weren't crusted with the typical coconut flakes, (which I would have liked) they still tasted good) I ordered the Carolina BBQ burger, with sautéed mushrooms instead of jalapeños. It was fairly overcooked, but tasted so good overall that it didn't bother me. My companion got the Toast classic and said it was good, but next time he will order something more exciting than just a regular cheeseburger. Overall, the wait staff was pleasant and knew the menu pretty well, but they were vague with recommendations, and made a few small-- although not too bothersome--mistakes. (Note: It definitely doesn't make any difference to me, but some people might like to know that the staff are very casual, and have no dress code) My only major complains would be about the steak and the overcooked burger, and the fact that they only have cloth napkins-- which is a problem for a restaurant that serves wings and some fairly messy burgers. They could also use some seating for people waiting. I will definitely come here more often, though. Good food, good beer, good atmosphere.

Just got back from my second trip. I didn't love it the first time but decided to try it again. Big mistake! i ordered the antipasto plate and a tomato dill soup. The soup was pretty tasty but the antipasto plate was a big disappointment. Instead of salami, like the menu said, i got chunks of summer sausage that did not even closely resemble salami and was certainly not the typical thinly sliced salami I was expecting. The menu also stated it came with a caprese salad. Once again - not what I was expecting. it was grape tomatoes sliced in half with garlic and seasonings. i mentioned to the waitress (who, incidentally, was very sweet) that she might want to let the chef know that caprese salads also have fresh mozzarella cheese in it . She told me she would tell the owner. Shortly thereafter, the owner came over and when I told her that a caprese salad should have fresh mozzarella in it and that it reminded me more of a bruschetta she became very nasty and defensive and stated it was their interpretation. I was trying to be helpful but instead of saying ANYTHING nice, I was being chastised by the owner. My dining companion and i were totally dumbfounded by her rudeness. I will never go back again.

I don't understand what would draw people back here. I'd rather drive a little further into Lincoln for a lot better experience. The prices are high, especially for lunch and you certainly don't get what you pay for. I had the French dip and while the flavor was good, there wasn't much meat there and not enough au jus. I thought I was just being picky until one of the people I was with made the same comment about their meal. The fries are nothing to brag about either. And, the service was painfully slow.

I was staying in a nearby motel and come here to grab some take out food for dinner. I decided to go all out and get the grilled salmon with rice and vegetables. The food was very good overall, but they forgot to give me silverware (and I forgot to check before leaving), which left me in an awkward situation once I got back to the motel. Also, the food was a little oily (but still delicious). This seems to be the only good non-fast food restaurant in the area, and it's definitely worth the drive if you're anywhere nearby!

I seriously love this place. This was my go-to study spot when I was in college. Good mochas and plenty of snack-y type foods (pastries, parfaits, chips and UNL Dairy Store ice cream) for an intense study session. Not only is Toast great for coffee, I love going in the evenings to either hanging out at the bar or order an iced tea in a mason jar (everything is better in a mason jar) and hang out outside. They also have some delicious lunch and dinner options. The Grown-up Grilled Cheese and a side of soup is my favorite. I'm also a big fan of Tuesdays at Toast because it is both Noodle Night and Import Beer Night. You can't beat that. Plus Wine and Wing Wednesdays. I'm not a huge fan of wings, but for those who are, it's hard to go wrong.

So excited when I met a manager of Toast at their sister/brother/cousin restaurant (Ledbelly) and she informed me my days of eating at Ruby Tuesday were OVAH!!! Apparently this 4 yr old restaurant is about a 10 min drive from my house and I had no idea! So exciting. Great selection on the menu - everything from smoked salmon quesadillas to Thai burgers to peanut butter & bacon. That's some serious range y'all. My first night here I had my go-to... grilled salmon with veggies & rice. I would normally go with mashed potatoes (if I were at Ruby Tuesday of course) but apparently Toast's go-to is rice. Cool with me.) It was actually the Chef's special - honey glazed salmon vs plain old regular salmon and it was recommended to me by 3 of the employees there. They didn't steer me wrong. This is what I like most about Toast. It looks cool. Hard wood bar & booths in the center of the restaurant - large but not obnoxious TV's placed throughout - and assorted wooden table tops and chairs. It just looks cool. But everyone that I encountered there my first night (including one of the owners) didn't act cool. They weren't snobby, "Hey...we work in a really cool looking restaurant". They weren't pretentious. They, true to Lincolnites, (such a made up word I think), were nice & accommodating. They made me feel welcome & wanted. And the regulars that were at the bar (single ladies always eat at the bar) were also nice & welcoming. Starts at the top, eh? Good wine list. (I'm all about the wine) & kitchen stays open until 10. Ruby Tuesday, I know I told you I'd be true. But Toast has a big old menu. So I'm leaving you. See ya!

One of my favorite places in Lincoln to eat. Located in North Lincoln, the decor and vibe at Toast is excellent. So many good things to say! Recently expanded, they offer great food at great times and a full bar. Everything from their pulled pork, to their tuna, to their burgers, is excellent. My personal favorite is the peanut butter and blue cheese burger. Sound weird, but is the best burger I have ever had. Service is always up to speed. Multiple different sides to choose from, along with coffee or tea. Drinks come in mason jars. Their dessert choices include a variety of cupcakes from Serendipity Cupcakes and different flavors of icecream from UNL's Dairy Store.

This place is really a hidden gem. I came for breakfast, so I haven't had the evening fare yet, but the brunch menu was excellent (I can wholeheartedly recommend the Denver strada). Each generous portion was priced at 3.95 and a tall mug of Mill coffee was only 1.00! Unbeatable in my opinion at that price. The fall brook neighborhood itself is a beautiful development, and one of the most unique in Lincoln. Toast resides in the "town square" which serves as the common gathering place for the surrounding area. Really unique and cool. I will definitely be returning for a beer and sandwich soon. The evening fare, as well as the brew and spirit collection, look to be top notch as well.

Came here for a work lunch meeting, the atmosphere is casual and the staff is friendly but the owner was very rude and nasty to my wife, she lacked customer service and people skills. My wife was trying to surprise me and my co-workers with cup cakes for my birthday, from the second she walked in members of the staff began scolding her. Turns out the owner was hiding behind her staff and almost ordering them to force her out, the owner later walked up to her and rudely told her to leave and put her cakes back in the car. Its fine that outside food is not permitted but there is a way to professionally convey that message. My wife asked her if there were extra cakes that she would be able to purchase, the owner was less than helpful and was more concerned about the "contraband" brought into her restaurant. This place is also way over priced for the quality of food and desserts. In fact its almost a rip off. I have eaten way better for far cheaper. I'm from the south and just moved to the Midwest. Many of the people here are a joy to be around but this bad apple spoiled the bunch, I have been here before but this was the worst experience, my major complaint about yelp is that I have to give this place at least one star. I'm never coming back here

Such great food. Love their breakfast/ brunch menu. The environment is very urban...it doesn't feel like I'm at a restaurant in Lincoln. Whenever I bring up Toast someone in the crowd ALWAYS says, "I love Toast!"

I thought this place was painfully average. My wife and I were looking to try someplace new, and with our first choice having a long wait on a Sat. night, we drove out here to see what everyone was raving about. I was surprised that there was seat-yourself service and it wasn't real busy. While I was in the mood for a beer, there was no menu with drink options and the waitress didn't offer any, so I went with a soda. We had the toasted nachos to start- not bad, but kind of dry and nothing special. I tried the peanut butter and blue burger for my main course. The burger itself was tasty and cooked just right, but the blue cheese was overpowering and I struggled to taste the pb. The fries were really dry and not that tasty. My wife had the NY strip salad. The steak was cooked ok and the salad was ok- but just ok. The prices were fair and it wasn't a terrible meal, but it was very forgettable. I'd give the place another shot if I'm ever in that area, but I'll never again drive out of my way to eat there.

Trendy great sandwich and dinner place. Have not had a bad meal on the menu and have covered it all. Fried green beans, fried pickle spears, and Italian won tons are great appetizers.

Toast didn't live up to the 4 and 5 star ratings and raves it's given. For an appetizer I tried the Italian Wontons and they we're bad to say the least. The wonton shell was burned to a crisp and the cube of meat with a melted slice of cheese was lacking taste. And the sweet and sour dipping sauce doesn't go with anything outside of asian food why wouldn't it be marinara? Fo my entrée I had the french dip with coleslaw. It too was very underwhelming. The meat in the sandwich must have come from a plastic box from Super-Saver and the same could be said of the jus. If there was anything that saved the plate it was the coleslaw but thats sad if the star of my dinner was cabbage. Not going back.

This is in my opinion one of the best places to eat in Lincoln. Today I shared the Virginian and the Reuben with a friend. Virginian is a grilled turkey sandwich with green chilies. Nice complex flavor. Their Reuben is probably the second best Rueben I've eaten. Had a side of cinnamon role chili. It taste like there is a cinnamon roll in the chili - Amazing. Finished it off with a maple bacon cupcake. Great Price Unique Menu Amazing Atmosphere Nice Staff Try It!!

Been to Toast a couple times now and have only ordered the veggie Thai Burger. I absolutely love this sandwich! Wish it came with a few more fries though. The Rain martini is a very tasty cucumber/basil/pepper cocktail that is a total surprise to the taste buds. The atmosphere makes me feel like I'm not in Lincoln..almost. My only complaint is that they don't seat you there, or really even acknowledge you there when you walk in. The last time I was there was with a group of 6 and an employee said to wait and snag a table. Now first come first serve basis is fine but the place was busy and packed on this Sunday morning. Toast really needs some sort of seating service..at least during busy times. It seemed strange having to wait with my grandmother to somewhat race for a table that wasn't even cleaned off.

cold fries, confused service, average bar food. while the decor is nice enough, it has too many hard surfaces that made for a loud room. too loud.

Always good coffee with a very relaxed air and none of the crowds. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Toast is a terrific little bistro that's rather out of the way if you don't live in the Fallbrook area, but definitely worth a stop if you happen to be out that way. We've eaten there twice. It's a pleasant atmosphere, albeit a bit loud at times. The first time we went, my husband got the pastrami signature sandwich and I tried the Reuben. Both were loaded up with high-quality meat on fresh bread. On our second visit, my husband opted for a cheeseburger, while I tried the Italian beef and our son, now venturing off the kids' menu to satiate his middle-school-sized appetite, sampled the School House club. All of our sandwiches were expertly prepared, again showcasing the excellent meat. I told my husband that Toast's Italian Beef sandwich eclipsed Lazlo's French Dip, and he didn't believe me...until he took a bite. Succulent slices of beef nestled in a freshly toasted hoagie, topped with Toast's Mediterranean Vegetables (a signature side dish of marinated peppers, olives, etc.) and topped with melting provolone, with a tasty au jus on the side. Kids portions are ample -- my girls had trouble finishing theirs -- and came with a free drink. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars was service, which is on the slow side and has twice included missing or incorrect sides, and the inconvenient location. Still, the food is excellent!

Great take out place (and dine in place, from the looks of walking in, i might add). We were staying at a local hotel and looking for some non "fast food" fast food. Toast came through so incredibly well. We recommend the reuben and a grilled cheese and soup combo. Both were hearty, filling and tasty. All of this came complete with very friendly and smiling waitstaff. I gave them 4 stars because they forgot the tomatoes on my wife's grilled cheese, even after asking directly if I wanted them on the sandwich. Could be just an oversight. But my wife really likes her tomatoes. Definitely try this place yourself.

Good atmosphere. I had the Reuben and it was fantastic. Plus I had a Newcastle which was the closer. Great concept combining a classic bar with a great deli and a bistro.

Heard a lot of good things about this place. My dinner was served on an ice cold plate like it came out of the cooler. The food became cold before I could eat half of it. I asked the server why my plate was so cold and she just said "hmmm that's wierd" before walking off. The food was average, She told me my dinner would be spicy, which I love, and it wasn't spicy at all. All the reviews are good so maybe I just went on the wrong night. I will try again and see if it gets better.

Great new place to eat! We went for lunch and although it took a little while to get our order taken because they were short handed on staff it was worth the wait. The fried pickles and green beans were amazing and the main course was delish! It seems like they have old favorties with a little spin to make them new and fresh. I also can't believe they had dite mt. dew on tap! Then for desert we had the raspberry french toast. I cannot express in words how wonderful the french toast was. great place and although it's on the north side of town im hoping to go back soon!
