Ok I can't deny it; the food was good. It's just what a MW girl wants when she's craving meat and carbs. The steak was done perfectly and the rolls were delicious and everything was smothered in gravy, win! The atmosphere is what kills it. The whole place is packed with screaming children, large families and drunk, overweight men (not surprising considering the portion sizes). It just feels crowded and dirty- a scene I don't mind after 4 beers in a seedy bar, but one I do mind when trying to eat and have a conversation. If you've got kids and don't really want to talk to your spouse, this is the place for you!

Free bread and throwing peanut shells on the ground are the best part! Everyone is always nice and has a cool country atmosphere. Lots to choose from for all tastes. Their cherry limeades are the bomb as well!

Overall, a pretty solid steakhouse in Lincoln. Tonight I had the 23oz Porterhouse T-Bone which was delicious. My only complaint was that I paid $2 to get it "smothered" in mushrooms and there were 8 1/2 slices of mushrooms, meaning I paid $2 for 4 whole mushrooms. A bit high priced. The mushrooms were good, though a bit oversalty. The steak, however, was cooked to perfection and wonderful. My wife ordered the chicken fingers or, whatever they called them and and the smothered mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, she got the smothered baked potato. it was quickly fixed. Our waitress was exceedingly polite, referring to us as sir and ma'am all night long. The manager stopped by, I think, 3 times. Normally it is terribly loud in here, but it wasn't busy tonight so the noise wasn't bad.

Margaritas can be a little syrupy and sweet but you can get a little test tube shot along with it which makes it a little more palatable. Sign up for the email club and receive a free appetizer, you also get one on your birthday. It's nice because those are usually the occasions we go for and I can never decided between the fried pickles and the onion blossom so I get both and only have to pay for one! The steaks are great and I have always received mine cooked to my liking. The fresh rolls with cinnamon butter are wonderful start to the meal, endless refills on those. Also saw someone post about how they wished it would come with regular butter, they do have soft whipped butter for the baked potato and I am sure they would be glad to bring some out on request if the cinnamon butter isn't your thing but give it a shot first it's like nothing you've had before and is a perfect compliment to the rolls

One of the better steak places in town. The good: The food portions are large, steaks are well made to order, the rolls and cinnamon butter is amazing. The service is always great, and the manager always asks if everything was ok. The Bad: Its noisy, I mean loud, like yelling kids, singing to people for their birthday, loud obnoxious laughing parties of 12 kind of noisy. This place is also crazy busy on a holidays. Skip going here on any kind of Mothers/Fathers Day etc, its a zoo and the food quality suffers a bit on those days. They do have good specials from 4-6pm Sun-Thursday worth checking out. They also have call-ahead seating, which is a must because on Friday-Sunday they usually have an hour wait. South Lincoln really suffers from having any good steak houses, but This and Misty's are both decent options.

I have been here many times, the first couple times out of curiosity, and the last couple of times against my will. This place could not cook a steak right to save their lives, one time my chili had a huge piece of bone in it, another time I ordered the filet medium-rare and I cut into it and it was purple, I swear to God, PURPLE, everything is always sticky, and the place is always overflowing with loud families and little kids. There is barely a waiting room, so large groups of people congregate in the isles and right by your table. But hey, free peanuts!

If you are looking for a very good steak and don't want to break the bank, definitely recommend this place. Depending on the night, could be up to 5 stars. Food is 5 stars, everything else 3.5 to 4 stars. A little noisy for me, but, what can you expect at a place where the waiters and waitresses dance to Cotton Eye Joe? Been here multiple times, never had a bad meal. Have no trouble saying this place has the best bang for your buck, steaks in Lincoln. The quality of meat is similar to Wilderness Ridge, yet probably 3/4 the cost and not a la carte. I always order the bone-in-ribeye rare plus (You know it's a good steak joint when they actually understand the term Rare+). Also, sometimes enjoy doing the steak "smothered" with cheese and shrooms. Other than the steaks, I normally get Caesar Salad (Excellent Caesar Dressing btw) and like to do the onion blossom for an app (not as good as Outback's.) Last time I was here with a big group, one of the guys dining with me also go the bone in ribeye (advertised at 20 oz). My guess is this was closer to 28oz. One of the biggest single steaks I've ever seen.

Pretty good. The food was over seasoned, but overall I enjoyed it. The fresh rolls are to die for!

We go here because my in-laws enjoy the food. I detest the place. Here are some notes from today's Father's Day dining experience. Phoned ahead and made reservation. Showed up 10 minutes early. Was told it would be 2-3 minutes for the booth we asked for. Seated 40 minutes later. Seated in what was the dumping ground for families with babies despite not having one of our own. Ordered appetizers with drinks. Appetizers came no plates. Plates came but were dirty. Not I am being picky dirty, but unclean with cheese and sauce from the previous user baked on. Steak knives the same way. Staff was annoyed I asked for new plates. Appetizers I know are often fried products. But what we had was so covered in oil the only explanation was the oil was not hot enough to fry. Blanched onion blossoms anyone? Keep in mind I am trying hard to be polite as this was the dining choice of our guests. Salads came. Stacked on each other. So the bottom of the other person's salad was on your food. Dressing choices wrong. Meal comes complete with cleanish knives. Sirloins dry. Prime rib cut in a shape previously not used in other restaurants, perhaps this was to ensure it was the worst cut of fat and gristle which would make the "cook" successful in this case. Guests reported he ribs and shrimp were great. Happy for them. Despite every aspect of the dining experience requiring intervention, was billed for everything to include the item someone sent back. I think the servers talking amongst themselves at the order station said it best "I love working on days like today since they push the food out fast which means I get more tables and that means more tips." Somehow I think they miss the point of restaurant, but then again I do think they are on track with manager's plan.

If you're looking to dine with hillbillies, this is the place. Just had a guy with the dirtiest hands grab some butter for the food runner because there is no place to stand while waiting for a table. That ended up on someones table. You basically stand in the kitchen while you wait. What a dump!!!!

Went in for an average priced, average steak meal... left with an appreciation of excellent customer service. My date ordered the steak salad with the steak medium well. The manager, Ashley, noticed that her steak was well done as she was bringing it to the table. She immediately ordered another filet medium well and told us that another steak was on the way to make it right. We had not complained. She just did it. Ashley brought her an entirely new salad with steak mediun well. Our wait staff was superb as well, friendly and attentive without hovering. Texas Road houses philosophy of 'work as a team' is working and not just a philosophy.

Wait is long for a table of more than four. They sit u in a room with wood benches and a few games. It's small and stuffy with peanut shells on the floor. Since we have kids with us we can't use the tiny bar. It's full too. I'll update when we get in. Just about all of the beet was some corporate beer. Only boulevard wheat and fat tire was somewhat drinkable. Had to move to dark rum and coke. Chili was cold. Noisy place. Sent for hot chili and got the second cup the same tempature. Watching the servers run here and there trying to take care of their customers. I literaly had to flag someone down to get my gb a refill of water. It turned out to be an assistat manager that look at me funny when i asked for the water. He realized that he was talking to a customer and went to get some. With all the severs there was no teamwork. Everyone was for themselves. What do you expect when management makes them ware a tee shirt that says "I (heart) my job". I had the steak and rib combo for 20 bucks. The ribs were falling off the bone good. The stake was trying to be medium rare but turned out medium. It's a thiner cut with the combo. The bottom line is take your money to Lazlos brewery and restraunt. You will get a better steak the way you like it, better service, and much better beer.

Texas Roadhouse is a very consistent place to eat across the country. My son and I stopped in as we were driving through the area. The food was excellent, service was good enough, the peanuts were as expected and the bread was, of course, very good. The steaks were done as requested and very flavorful even though we got the cheap 6-oz choice sirloins. Dinner for two (no alcohol), great steaks and good sides (like baked sweet potato), for under $20. That's about as good as anyone could ask for.

It's the standard mass steak place. Don't try weekend evenings if you aren't prepared for long wait and very high noise level. Service is hit or miss, as is the food quality. Occasionally really good, sometimes disappointing, and usually fair.

Don't buy into the hype! Take your money and go to Famous Daves. TX Roadhouse has ok food, but the atmosphere bothers me. Its always crowded. Its always noisy. There's always a bunch of kids and babies, and therefore its always a mess. And maybe thats why families come here because the kids can throw food and trash off the table and it just mixes in with the peanut shells all over the floor. Definitely not my idea of a relaxing night out! Much better dining options on the south side.

My wife and I originally went to the Lone Star Steakhouse. However, we couldn't get any service. So we left to eat at the Texas Roadhouse. At the Texas Roadhouse we had to wait 20-25 minutes for a table, but I'd rather wait for a table then wait at a table for a server. Once seated we were readily served by friendly staff. The peanuts were fresher then the LS (Lone Star's were just about stale and no telling how many hands in the bucket) yet still not terribly fresh. At least we received a fresh bucket of peanuts to munch. The steak was cooked to perfection, albeit a bit salty. The entire meal was great and both of us enjoyed our meals very much. The steaks were about 10% cheaper then the Lone Star too (same cut and size). All-in-all a very enjoyable meal.

Grease, fat, salt. That sums up my experience here. Outside of shouting Texas ye-haws for people's birthday and a jackalope on the wall, not much differentiates this place from any other chain restaurant.

Texas Roadhouse is a spitting image of this joint down in Joplin, Missouri, (that's probably closed) called Jim Bob's -- you chuck your peanut shells on the floor, the bread is fresh and piping hot, and the ambiance screams "country." This Roadhouse recently opened, and I hit it up while visiting town with my mom, little brother, and boyfriend. The pickings varied -- mom got the pulled pork, little brother got the chicken fingers, the boyfriend got ... well, I don't remember what he got, so he can write his own review ... and I got the Grilled Salmon with a side salad and fries. It was some seriously delicious fish, cooked just right -- not too dry and definitely moist. The bread is absolutely outstanding, and the butter they serve with it is to die for. I have to give mad props to our waiter, though I can't remember his name, because he put up with the silliness of my mother and my boyfriend, and was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the dining experience. The only reason for a minus star? There were FIVE BIRTHDAYS celebrated while we were there. I know, silly reason, maybe, they sing and make you sit on this saddle and the whole restaurant has to shout yee-haw or something, and it's a little much. Especially so many times in one visit, no? At any rate, I definitely recommend this Roadhouse -- and all of them (the Manchester one is definitely nice) for that matter!

The steaks were amazing, I think they use aged meat. They were cooked to perfection, mine medium and Jared's medium rare. Our server had an attitude but the service was decent considering it was a Friday night.

Nothing Special. Don't get caught up in the hype. Yes the parking lot is always full but there are much better options in South Lincoln than this chain. I went here only because this is where some colleagues wanted to have dinner. I lost the vote. Everything I ordered was way over salted, so much so I couldn't finish anything. Not like I would be able to anyways with the portions they serve. Everything was huge. I believe I got some sort of medallions of meat with what I thought would be sliced, grilled portabella mushrooms, but instead it was a thick gravy like sauce....very salty and unnecessary. One last thing is the rolls and "famous" butter, please give an option of regular butter. I really enjoyed the rolls. Nice and hot but I'm not a fan of the cinnamon butter. Tastes too sweet for a dinner side, at a BBQ/Steak place. Oh well. I have tried it and I suppose you can't win 'em all.....Much better option to grill in the backyard than venture here for dinner. At least the dinner was on my Company.

Texas roadhouse is great. Most everything I have tried has been delicious. I recommend the chicken or catfish, both are always fried perfectly and they are super juicy. Nothing beats the loaded sweet or baked potato either. If you come here when it isnt super busy the wait staff is great and always on the ball.
