Ever notice it really depends on your barista if your coffee is going to taste right? This location is a perfect example. It's hit and miss almost everytime. They are almost always busy with the downtown crowd so if I'm not able to hit one up on the way to work this is my last resort. But even for being busy they crank em out in a timely manner, wether it's good or not depends.

I don't believe in dishing out poor reviews unless the management has had a chance to sort complaints out and respond. That said, I'll gladly change my review if the service has improved next time I'm in town. But, right now the 1 star is deserved. Here is why: I've been going to this Starbucks for a while...actually years because Starbucks itself is consistent and professional. The other locations in Lincoln have a level of service that boasts the kind of quality that a corporate structure can sometimes provide. Yet, this location doesn't have that same standard of service. In fact, it is often the opposite. There were just times where the staff would say sly remarks or have a sarcastic tone. Where does that come from? I mean...why? I used to be a shift manager for a rival coffee chain when I lived in Omaha. The policy was always to get to know the "regulars" while being inviting and warm. This is usually the name of the game for a coffee shop. The downtown Starbucks seemed to fail at this aspect. The place is insanely crowded. To be fair, a high volume of business is what a business wants. Unfortunately that usually means large crowds of teens visiting town. Again, thats ok and not the fault of the establishment. Aesthetics in the building have improved drastically with the last remodel. That deserves the 1 star I gave this place. Finally and most importantly...the management. Gosh. I'm not sure why this particular manager has such a bad attitude but it seems to drip down to the staff as well...not all the staff, but many of the daytime workers. That may seem harsh... but my wife brought it up one time a few time when we were working there...then I saw the comments on here regarding this issue as well. Sometimes Starbucks has a bad reputation that I don't agree with. Hell, I live in Seattle now. In my opinion, this particular spot is in need of a fix. Again, I'm willing to switch my review to include more stars in the future. People and places deserve second chances. Until then, 1 star.

Its a Starbucks. What more do you expect? There were maybe 5 or 6 people working today and I made eye contact and smiled at three of them before they even realized that I hadn't been helped yet. So yeah, that was awkward. The barista also gave me a weird look when I asked to personalize my drink. It's easier to just ask for non-fat milk instead of a skinny because I hate the after-taste of the sugar-free syrups. I understand that being a barista can be annoying at times with all of the demands, but I know what I like and what I don't and I'm the one that is paying for it and drinking it. I'd recommend bringing headphones. The music is either loud or obnoxious enough to set your teeth on edge. 90% of the time it's hard to filter it out and have conversations or study.

Always been satisfied with the quality of the drinks at this location. I've been "forgotten" while waiting for my order a few times. But they were very nice and gave me a free drink coupon each time. I like the location and it's a nice setup on the inside. Can get a bit crowded but it is downtown. Not really a problem for me.

We all know the deal with Starbucks: radically over-roasted coffee pushed through an extremely expensive, fully-automatic machine that mysteriously produces under-extracted espresso. They do get points, though, for brewing coffee in rapid cycles and not leaving the stuff to rot in thermoses. And at this location, the turnover is very brisk. Yes, you can't taste anything other than the roast, but the proposition that their coffee is by nature inferior to Lincoln's more hipsterish locations is nonsense. It's not a particularly fun place to hang out; the "Starbucks experience" is carefully controlled using focus groups and image consultants, with predictably anemic results. But I'll take a mediocre cup of coffee or shot of espresso over an overtly bad one any day of the week, and the independent coffeehouses, despite their own insistence and that of people who seem to know nothing at all about coffee, can produce exceedingly bad coffee -- particularly when it comes to espresso. I'll also note that the staff at this location are very sweet, responsive to customer demands, and entirely unaffected (which you certainly can't say of the baristas at our much cooler independent establishments). Every cool local coffeehouse serving Ethiopian Yirgacheffe to a clientele that knows what that is and is willing pay for the privilege owes a debt to Starbucks, which single-handedly taught Americans what coffee might be. The fact that they themselves can't fully honor everything the coffee might be is sad, but at least you know what you're getting.

Sbux is great..consistent quality, great hours, easy in-and-out. People complain about the price, but honestly, EVERY independent coffee shop I have ever been to has practically the same prices as Sbux. A latte at the Mill is the same price as a latte at Sbux. Coffee...also, same price, give or take a few cents.

I love Starbucks in downtown environments. Where else can you witness a homeless man with all of his drenched worldly possessions sitting next to him while he pecks away at his laptop while sipping a Venti hot drink of some sort. See! Coffee isnt THAT expensive! I wish I could attach a photo, I am looking right at him! All kidding aside, I grew up on Starbucks Coffee back when there was one store in Kansas City and I happened upon it. The staff at this location is always friendly, and very knowledgeable.

I wish I could give this place negative stars. My wife and I walked in today (6/2/13) at around 9pm and this witch who was disguised as a server was staring us down, we kindly asked her for the restroom location and she answered with a rude attitude, we came back and ordered a drink (from another guy) but the evil witch was making the drink, after she was done she threw the drink across the table towards me with a "here you go", I was about to ask her WTF was her problem but I didn't want to make a big fuss about it. When my wife and I were sitting at the table she walked by and gave my wife a death stare like we just lit a fire under her useless @ss or something, we never even did anything to her. Seriously this witch needs to learn some manner and treat people (who's practically writing her damn paychecks) better. I wish she were wearing a name tag so I can list her name on here, I've been to every starbucks in Lincoln and were always treated with a welcoming smile, unlike this hell hole, stay far away from this place.

You've got to be kidding me? Do you know how many local coffee shops there are in this town that are serving much better quality, much more ethically traded beans, and have better service than Starbucks? The list could go on and on. They make their drinks with the push of a button. They don't pull their own shots. A machine does it for them, but if what you want is mass produced coffee then that's where you should go. Never mind supporting your local coffee shops who take pride in their work, training of staff and often times go directly to the farmer co-ops all over the world to find the perfect coffee beans to serve in their shops.

Service here is always fast, and it's one of the few locations I have been to that ALWAYS gets my orders right no matter how busy they are. The employees are friendly and I always get everything fast with the expected Starbucks quality.

Yeah, I am with Gabby. This place is so mediocre compared to the places that serve locally roasted coffee from Cultiva. There's no shortage of top-notch local spots downtown, so try them before you go here!

I get coffee at starbucks for the following reasons: 1) I'm at SuperTarget 2) I'm in a new town and cannot find a local shop. The quality is okay but the prices are a bit higher than the other local guys, especially if you start to get specific. I'm not one of those people who screams 'buy local' at the top of my lungs, but Lincoln is gifted with any number of amazing coffee shops. Why anyone would ever go to Starbucks by choice when you have other great places within a 2 minute walk (when downtown) or a 5 minute drive (in the rest of the city). Pros: Repeatable. Cons: There are any number of places that do everything Starbucks does both better and cheaper.

I have rarely been disappointed by the service or quality of food/beverage that I have experienced at this Starbucks. The morning staff knows me by name and my favorite drink.
