This place is amazing. We were only in Lincoln for 5 days, and we made sure to come back twice. Their croissants are perfect, and they use them to make wonderful breakfast sandwiches. Their pastries are perfectly flaky and flavorful, and their macaroons are both delicious and come in a variety of creative flavors.

I think one of best bakery in lincoln so far. This was the bakery what I wanted. It was hard to find a good bakery everywhere. Limited selection but good quality bread and simple modern atmosphere to meet the people.

Super breads and pastries. And today I tried breakfast. Eggs thick bacon provolone on thank you special request on whole grain lightly toasted. My new favorite place for eggs.

Very nice place. Clean and great for coffee and pastries with friends. In fact I saw a lot of older people meeting up with little groups to catch up, it was cute. The food was outstanding. I had the bacon, provolone, and egg croissant. The provolone was the standout, ooey and gooey! Prices were reasonable. Great locally owned place that uses local suppliers. Everything just tasted so fresh and clean, not processed and churned out of a kitchen. The staff was really nice and helpful. I liked that the line took a little long because it gave me time to figure out just what I wanted and that seemed to work well for others too. Once you were up to bat people were precise and the line never stood at a stand still. This will definitely be on my radar for a yummy weekend breakfast fix. They have a stand at the farmers market also. I highly recommend!

Good ladies-who-lunch place. I went for lunch and got the chicken salad sandwich with a side of couscous. The sandwich was good--not great, but I liked it. I love couscous, so of course loved the side. My dessert was the pecan pie. Super great! I would have loved to try the bread varieties. They smelled so good. So, it was a good (not life-changing) lunch. I would definitely come back, but it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

Went here for lunch/pastries and it was pretty good. Clean restaurant and their cinnamon rolls are really delicious, the frosting on them is unique (seemed like a cross between cream cheese frosting and icing)! The sandwiches were also pretty good and I would eat them again but weren't anything special. Overall a solid bakery.

Extremely good bakery foods. Very authentic pastries and Macaroons are fantastic. I haven't tried the soups and other menu items yet. Can't believe I'm saying this, but the blue cheese bread is better than another place downtown (my favorite restaurant - don't want to say where) and this place reminds me of my favorite French bistro, based out of Colorado Springs.

Amazing bread. Amazing flowerless torte chocolate chocolate cake. I'm glad there isn't a location in Saint Louis or else I'd be eating cake every day!

I was super excited to finally find a French spot in Nebraska. Once I learned about it, I put it at the top of my list for my next visit to Lincoln. Well, I just went to Lincoln and Le Quartier, and maybe I'd hyped it up too much in my mind, but it was sort of a let-down. First off, the staff wasn't very personable. (Also didn't speak French, but that was just just me being hopeful.) Food: I had the grilled cheese sandwich. It was good, but it was the size of a kid's grilled cheese, and for $5.50, it could have at least had some unique ingredient to it. The tomato soup, while not "creamy" as named, was pretty good. While the food was good, I really wish they had more French dishes. Now for the baked goods, which is the real reason why I went there. I ate so many baguettes and pain au chocolat when I lived in France, the 10 pounds I gained from that period is still with me. The pain au chocolat, while tasty, did not achieve the level of soft, flakiness that its counterparts in France do. And good gracious, $2.25 for one? The only redeeming aspect was the bread. They definitely found that right ratio of airiness and crustiness. Although I long for the 75 eurocent baguettes that I bought almost every day, I'm still willing to pay $2.75 for a quality one here in Nebraska. I guess I'll call that a hefty cultural skills import tax.

After hearing all the hype from locals on this place since we moved here last Summer, I finally got the chance to stop in this pasta week. I purchased four bakery items and the bill was over $20. For their prices, I expected high quality. Boy,was I wrong. Bakeries need to learn that keeping things in large cases or on open shelves might look nice and hark back to the romantic era of old style bakeries, but we an do better than that now. Every single bakery item was stale stale stale. I've had better tasting and fresh from the local grocery bakeries. The sour dough loaf was dry and crumbly. The cinnamon rolls were awful. They were not only dry, but devoid of any kind of flavor beyond the overly sweet, but scantily applied cream cheese frosting. The croissant? Dry dry dry dry........ The only thing half decent was the cookie, but it wasn't good enough to go back for. Everything seemed to be days old, even though they said it was baked that morning (I was there late morning)

Best pecan rolls ever! Their potato salad is my very favorite, and they make a creamy tomato soup with chunks of vegetables that you can't stop eating. Croissants are so flaky and buttery, and large. Le Quartier was my choice for a wedding cake, but they have stopped baking cakes or special order cupcakes. Almost took away a star for that.....

This is a great alternative to the chain sandwich shops. Pay the $7 instead of the five and get fresh meats and real greens on better bread, folks. Their vegetable sandwich here is actually a Vietnamese bahn-mi. Very tasty. The flourless chocolate torte is awesome. I did not eat it, but the chicken salad on an enormous croissant looked to be worth of any Nebraskan's appetitie!! Note they have an Omaha/Dundee neighborhood location as well.

Love, love, love, love, love! I've not had one thing from le Quartier that isn't awesome! Blue cheese bread, olive bread, baguette, ciabatta rolls, croissants, pain au chcolat.

This is the only bread my European husband will eat (aside from what I bake at home.) I love the baguettes, croissants and whole wheat sourdough. I also come here often for soup and occasionally a sandwich, as I work right across the street. Their cupcakes are to die for, as well. You can tell they use butter in their buttercream. The minis are also a perfect way to enjoy them with no guilt. Highly recommended!

Went here for lunch. I was recommend by a friend. I had the chicken tortilla soup and avocado turkey melt. Both were very refreshing and delicious. Can't wait to try the yummy cupcakes! They also have delicious looking breads and pastries.

We had the biscuits and gravy and an almond croissant. Both were out of this world tasty.

Love love love this place! My one and only complaint is that there has been no lattes available for a long time. (they say the machine is broke) Coffee is a huge part of a great morning breakfast and we have to go to Panera first to get our lattes and bring them over to Le Quartier to eat! The food is amazing and the service is great!

Every time I go to this place it's absolutely fantastic. The service is great because they are always super friendly, helpful when I ask questions, and usually tell me about some new bread they've tried or when they put out a specialty item (like whole grain bread on the weekends). I've been switching my sandwich bread to their and ever since my sandwiches have suddenly increased exponentially in taste appeal. Plus, they have wonderful lunch specials and coffee. Nothing better!

My husband and I picked up some baked goods to bring with us when we visited his parents last weekend outside of Chicago. My father-in law is European through and through. He was born and raised in Hungary and reminds me every time I see him that he knows his pastries. He is finicky and highly critical of pastries. Tada! Jon and Seth, you did it!!!! Zoltan was so very pleased with the selection we chose. He sampled all 4 varieties we brought with us and he complimented each pastry. This is no small deal. Now he has one place he can tell people (outside Budapest) that prepares quality pastries. Too bad your so far from Chicago. Disclaimer: I already new how amazing Le Quartier is, They bake our ciabatta rolls, miscellaneous pastries and baguettes for our shop daily. The product is very consistent and the delivery person, Hassan is very pleasant. A few times, I've had to call in a large last minute order and they have always been able to accommodate my request. Thanks Le Quartier! We greatly appreciate all you do for our commnity,,,and how you fill our hungry tummies. Keep up the good work! Kristin

We came here for lunch based on Yelp reviews during our drive across Nebraska. It was definitely worth the detour off I-80! Delicious French bread and a lovely fresh tomato soup. Mmm.

Get the sourdough rolls. They're amazing. Also pick up a few pizza crusts. Delicious.
