The waitress asked me How everything was tasting. Which is odd since I Am the one who made The dish. But they do a great Job of dicing things. Haiku review.

I'm still a new believer to HuHot grills. However, I've been to a couple in the Iowa area, and I normally can expect decent food that I can make to my own preferences. I find it insanely expensive for what it is (I know it's "all you can eat", but I can only usually eat two plates, so it ends up being about $7 per plate for me, and that seems particularly high for what I end up making), so I don't end up eating at HuHot too often. I wasn't so fond of this location. The place was very clean, and they had both booth and table seating. The waitress was pleasant and while the grill warriors weren't too energetic, they were friendly and were quite efficient. My biggest complaint was really the way my food tasted, though. I'm not sure if it's the grill (with contamination from past orders) or the sauce, but my food was SPICY hot. Considering I only put on the no-spice sauce (Khan's Favorite), and my food has never been spicy at any other HuHot, I have to admit to being a bit confused and disappointed. I thought that maybe it was contamination to the sauce itself, but I tried both versions of their Khan's Favorite, and they both were spicy. That leads me to believe that it maybe has something to do with the grill instead. Either way, having such spicy food with no way to really "eat" what I normally eat at HuHot kinda ruined my experience. I'd come back again as the place itself wasn't bad, but if the spiciness issue happened again, I'd probably have to assume that it's the location - which is unfortunate as I do enjoy eating at HuHot from time to time. Still definitely a good place to check-out if you enjoy spicier food - and maybe even if you don't. My experience might have been a fluke.

Sign up for their email club and receive a free appetizer. Also a buy one get one free on your birthday. If you haven't noticed from my other reviews I love email clubs and I love getting all my bday emails and going every where to collect my free stuff! It's a birthday tradition

It doesn't really matter what you order, it always tastes like a conglomeration of whatever everyone else before you ordered. Also, pretty overpriced. I've been there twice and won't be going back a third time.

A lot of people rant and rave about this place, but in my opinion it's nothing special. Buffet style and they have a lot of ingredients and sauces to throw on your dish before they cook it up on the round grill right in front of you. Definitely a good atmosphere and different dining experience, but the food just isnt my thing for the hefty price. You can get your money's worth if you love it and are hungry, but I usually dont. My favorite thing from here is the crab Rangoon, but that's also very overpriced in my opinion.

I enjoy HuHot on an occasional basis. I like the idea of them grilling your food right in front of you, though I wish they would have shrimp in the mix. Our waitress today was SUPER attentive and we had excellent service. I decided to ad the hot and sour soup to my meal. I don't think they know what hot and sour soup is supposed to taste like because it was WAY different that any I have ever had. The taste was okay, but it wasn't any recipe that I've ever tasted. Overall, a pleasant experience.

We love Hu Hot. We have been many times and have always enjoyed it. They have a great variety of meats/veggies/sauces you can choose from so if you don't like your food, its your own fault. They also rotate various meats and seafood every day so there is usually something different to try every time. The staff is always very friendly as well. It is also a great deal for lunch as long as you do not have to go back to work or have the self control not to stuff yourself.

Great food, very accommodating of my grandmothers shellfish allergy. The manager brought out separate sauces from the back to ensure they weren't contaminated. They cleaned the grill before cooking here meal on it. Great place to eat and there selection was better than any other mongolian bbq I have ever been to. Will come again next time I am in town

My advice: be adventurous with your selections. You can't really go wrong, and if you do you can always just go back and get something else!

If you've got an empty chasm in your belly and have a hankering for Asian flavors in Lincoln, you'll probably be thoroughly satisfied at HuHot. Patrons of upscale hibachi places will likely find themselves unimpressed, but for the price, customization, and sheer volume of food, I'd be willing to overlook the fact that the meat's frozen and the marinade's (likely to be) saturated with sugar and oil. Come hungry, leave positively stuffed, and possibly feeling a bit guilty - but isn't that what buffets are for?

Stopped in for lunch today. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Love that you can get more than one bowl (I like to load up on chicken). Had the funniest moment of my day while here.. You get a bowl of white rice with your meal. Which I didn't know, but I asked my waitress if they had brown rice. She looked at me most sincerely and said "no, but you can put teriyaki sauce on it to make it brown." I got such a chuckle out of that. She was great and helpful. Spent $13 with tip so not bad for lunch. Would definitely go back. But no brown rice people!!

MMMM This place reminds me of home (Los Angeles). The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food always fresh although sometimes you have to watch the shrimp as a few sneak in that haven't been de-veined. The only downfall is they don't seem to be high chair friendly as they only have a few tables that they will allow a high chair at and when it's crowded it makes the wait longer because you have to wait for those tables.

I just love HuHot! It is a bit pricey for dinner (~$13 without tip) and it is cheaper for lunch (I can't remember the price, but I want to say $8 without tip). Like other mongolian grills, you get a bowl and fill it with meat (~5-6 different types, ranging from beef to chicken to fish), noodles (~3 types), and then veggies/tofu (very large selection). This part is non-trivial. Where you can go wrong is with the sauces. You mix and match and pour sauce over your meat/noodle/veggie selection. If you don't like your food, no problem - don't eat it. You are paying for an all you can eat buffet, so try again. The wait staff will bring you some rice with your dinner. The wait staff are always helpful.

HuHot is a pretty decent place to eat, but only if you are VERY hungry and capable of eating a lot of food at one time. I can't eat very much at one time so I don't go very often, but the food is always great. I love that you can build your own meal and try a couple different combinations in one visit. They have a decent amount of choices including different meats, noodles, veggies, and they even have tofu. The sauces are all a pretty safe bet and they give you a good explanation of each. However, I wish they kept the buffet style food carts a little cleaner...... It's going to cost you about $12 (without the tip) if you go for dinner, so if you aren't really that hungry I would go somewhere else. But it's great if you're super hungry!

The great thing about this place is that if the food isn't right it's your own fault. I love the concept, pick your own ingredients and sauces and watch while they cook it up for you. Hu Hot is a regular stop for me and my wife, we go about once a month, I've got my recipe worked out almost perfect and I love that it's all you can eat.

If you've ever been to Mongolian Grill, it's like that but better. Pick meats, noodles, vegetables, and sauces, and then watch them cook it on a giant round grill. Very tasty.

Very crowded and a bit pricey for what it is. However, it's a solid all-you-can-eat Mongolian grill with a large selection of vegetables and meats to add to your dish. They have a variety of sauces and suggestions for recipes, thank goodness.

This place is pretty good. Their vegetables are usually really fresh, which is sometimes hard to find in Lincoln. Also, the cooks are really friendly!

I can not give this place a review on the grill but I tried the Hot and sour soup and egg rolls and they were so nasty I did not even want to try anything else. Never again. Yuck. Only giving them one star because I cannot post with none. Can't believe I paid for that garbage.
