Quick service, good food. Chips and salsa were tasty, full of good spice without being too hot. I had steak fajitas. They were delicious!!

I have been hoping this place would be better but my experiences have been bad.. We order a lot of carry-out, because it's convenient for us. The last several times we ordered carryout in the evening, my entrees have been cold. Not the kind of cold because it sat too long, but "frigid-cold-in-the-center-of-each-item-cold" which leads me to think this food is produced ahead of time, stuck in a refrigerator, then reheated when ordered....or in my case, not reheated enough. Having tamales that are ice-cold in the middle is not a fun experience. I told my family to stop me if I ever decided to try this place again. Then I was craving Mexican food, and reasoned with them that maybe the day-time staff puts forth a different effort than the consistent cold-centered food we've been getting from our evening orders. Not the case. My food was once again frigid-cold inside each item - chile releno, enchilada and quesadilla. I've given them numerous chances, but the only thing consistent is weird coldness in each food item.

This is a clean place. Not enough customers at noon. The staff staffs around conversing in Spanish. Management should cut back staff or get more customers. HUGE menu is difficult to manage. Way too many choices. Chiliquiles are good. Prices fine. Colorful tables and chairs.

Okay, this restaurant has been in Fremont now for a few months. It opened near my office, so I've had lunch and supper several times. The service has always been on point for us, although I've heard otherwise from friends/family. The food is hit or miss. The complimentary chips/salsa when dining in are warm. Sometimes the fajitas are impeccable, other times they are overly salty and light on the meat/ heavy on the veg. Sometimes the chile rellenos are prepared fresh (i.e. crispy), other times they taste of freezer burn and ooze a watery liquid. The chilaquiles have been the most consistent, but even those are not great. The carnitas were okay, I guess, maybe a tad dry. I'm a horchata freak, but unfortunately at this point, I'd have to say that is the best item on the menu. If the food was more consistent, and less salty, I might like this place a little more!

Driving through Fremont,NE & decided to stop for some authentic Nebraskan Mexican food.... haha not my best decision. The food was below average at best. The prices were too high for the quality of ingredients they served. New rule if in Nebraska I am sticking CORN fed steak.

This is my favorite place in town to eat. I try to order something different each time. The staff are friendly and keep your drinks filled. The food is fresh and always served hot.

Our family has stop here several times; 14 of us. They are very accommodating and the service has been great. The warm chips and salsa just keep coming. The salsa is chunky and includes a tasty spice. The fajitas are amazing. They have a good selection from a big menu. Definitely recommend La Hacienda.

I was looking forward to finally having authentic chips & salsa after spending several years in Europe so when the server at La Hacienda put what tasted like pure tomato sauce on our table I was disappointed. My German wife makes better salsa ... I'll have her send you her recipe!!! The server was one of the least friendly servers I've experienced in quite awhile and he forgot to bring tortillas to the table ... fajitas are a bit messy without them!!! The fajitas were very good though!!! For me good service means a lot ... if your food is the best in the world I'd still skip your place if the service was bad ... I'd try La Hacienda again, but if the service wasn't improved I wouldn't come back a third time. Simple as that!!!

I'm originally from Fremont, but have now lived in Southern California for some years and I can honestly say I have not had better carnitas than the ones I had at La Hacienda. So tender they melt in your mouth and seasoned perfectly! My mouth is starting to water thinking about them. While I was visiting, I came to La Hacienda twice and ordered them both times. The service is good and food comes in a timely manner. The only reason this isn't a five-star review is that the decor and atmosphere leave quite a bit to be desired. Also, they don't have a full bar yet; mostly beer, tequila, and a few other random things. Hopefully the decor is a work in progress. Seems like they could also easily fit a few more tables in the place, so it seems a little sparse. Not the most authentic Mexican food I've had, but it is very delicious!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
