Fremont Keno

Reviews:
If you want their menu it is highly recommended. Inexpensive. Good wraps, ribs, hot beef, excellent soup. Steak sandwiches are good. Always busy. Don't play keno--it is the tax on the arithmetically challenged!

It's Starbucks, you know it's going to be good. I like the Carmel frappé with two pumps. I'm ready to start my road trips. I've tried them in several states and their brew is consistently good.

Best Ice Cream in TOWN and everything else in between!! So looking forward to getting back to Fremont, NE before they close for the year. Julie J Reno, Nevada
Dick's Zesto is everything I remember from being a young kid hanging out with my grandpa in the summertime. The ice cream offerings are diverse and they're usually pretty quick about getting you in-and-out so you can enjoy your delicious treat. The staff are usually from the area college or high school and very friendly. My favorite order is a medium chocolate cone. It comes out from the back in about three minutes, and it's probably close to a foot tall! They swirl this ice cream high! It's delicious and creamy, and definitely doesn't taste like any "other" ice cream joint around. Prices are fantastic, and it's a great weekly memory to partake in.
Love it down to the retro signage, the neon details and the plastic letters on a black corrugated board menu. I wish I lived here! I would take my dog and grandkids here every week. The Cherry Dip for the soft serve cones tastes like maraschino cherry syrup, and is awesome on a vanilla soft serve cone. They pile the soft swirl high, so start eating it as soon as it's handed to you. I will have to plan more business meetings in the area just to try other menu items. Right now they have a soft serve lemon sherbet , that can be swirled with the vanilla. Another excellent choice.

Savannakhet Asian Grill

Spicy Thai chicken was super good and looked really good. Was fresh. Nice dude who may have been owner was slinging plates.
In Fremont for an auction on a Saturday and Yelped this place and am so glad I did. This is a nothing fancy, strip mall type restaurant that puts plenty of effort into it's food. I had a lunch special of Spicy Thai Pork and Curry Chicken and both were phenomenal. Not super spicy but not too mild, just right. The flavors meshed well and the rice was spot on. As good as that was, the egg roll was even better. Kind of a smaller egg roll but fried to perfection. The flavors in this egg roll are hard to describe, just plain awesome. I was full, I was satisfied after this meal. If I am ever in Fremont again, I will head straight to Savannakhet. Heck, I might make a special trip from Omaha just to eat here. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Yelp's honor (for all you boy scouts).
You can't go wrong with the big, delicious steaming bowl of Pho. Joe recommended and brought to our table a few add-inn seasonings to make the flavor even better/stronger. It's always wonderful. We never eat here without getting the crab rangoon and chicken satay appetizers, both are also super good! Spicy Thai chicken with fried rice is my other go-to entree, the rice is pepper-y & yummy.

Huey’s Smokehouse BBQ

2204 N Bell St
Fremont, 68025
Reviews:
I wrote three favorable resturant reviews today and this is the only one that made my mouth water. Now that you have that appetizing image in your head, I will say that this was pretty good place. They make there own sauces which seem very original and are good even though they are sweeter. Brisket was thin sliced and very moist and tender. Ribs were overdone, but good anyway. It was Sunday night.
Not real impressed here. For dinner last night, I ordered 1/2 rack ribs with sliced brisket. Sides were Mac and cheese and potato salad. The sides were both very bland and generic. Nothing special at all. The brisket was a little dry, but even worse, thinly sliced! The ribs had a great flavor and bark to them, but a little dry as well. The atmosphere, on the other hand, was perfect for a smoke house!
Completely legit and delicious BBQ. Awesome burnt ends. Good brisket. Excellent ribs. Everything had proper seasoning and I enjoyed the smoke flavor level. I particularly enjoyed the ribs... They do not fall off the bone... And they shouldn't or they are over cooked! Yet these were still tender... Really good stuff.

San Ann’a Pizza & Mexican

Fremont, 68025
Reviews:
Ambiance is about a three but the staff was a solid four and the food was a five. I haven't eaten here in many years and was glad I stopped in. My wife got a taco salad that was pretty large with lots of meat. I opted for a taco pizza which was easily the best in Fremont. I'm going back again soon.
This place is amazing. Disappointed that they downsized so much, but I understand completely. They have the best cheese dip that I crave whenever I come back to town. I recommend the taco pizza if you are getting a pie, or the chicken fajita if it's just for you. Cheese dip is a must.
Tamales are good. The blackened fish taco and chicken fajita are good. Try the guacamole. Excellent

Tin Lizzy Tavern

1682 E 23rd St
Fremont, 68025
Reviews:
I had a pretty fun time here coming on a Friday night around 9pm and stayed until closing with my relative. We are both huge karaoke fans, and Tin Lizzie's happily accommodated that want. They quit serving food at 8. If you want something after the fact; they do offer delivery from another place not too far from the bar itself. Drinks are cheap. Where there are cheap drinks you will find cheap drunks. Everyone here knew each other, and everyone who came here had a lot to talk about the more they drank. Being the out of towner that I was -- I can tell you on 3 occasions where girls came over to me and spilled their heart out. How did I manage to become a therapist is beyond me.... including one of them who felt it was necessary to discuss her endeavors with my relative the night before. WHY would you tell me this?! Awkward.... Aside from that, the drinks here are really good. The karaoke was a ton of fun as well. I enjoyed the vast selections of songs you could choose from even though country music seemed to be the prime theme of the evening. They offer billiards. Those were pretty hot for the night too. Smoking is allowed outside on the patio, and not within the establishment which made me happy. I am a non-smoker. The patio is big enough to hold a few people if the weather is right. It is also fenced in for privacy. Dress code -- biker or cowboy casual. Google it. Tin Lizzie's is pretty solid and I would return for a drink and for entertainment purposes.... sans playing therapist again.

Runza

Reviews:
Late night stop and I was super impressed with this runza. Everytime I've ever ordered frings I get two or three onion rings. At this runza I had more then enough! Fries were tasty also. My runza was not falling apart as soon as I unwrapped it either. Great food and very friendly service. Will return to this location.
The Runza is a Nebraska classic. Hot and tasty. They also serve top notch burgers. The onion rings are spectacular. It's a neat treat to eat.
The salads are great. Southwest chicken had a nice mix of veggies, salsa, and mayo chipotle, the chicken was crunchy. The roasted fuji chicken had grilled chicken, blue cheese, baked apple chunks, and sweet coated pecans with a honey mustard dressing. Lettuce was a mix of romaine and iceberg. Prices are McDs range and portions are much larger for the salads,

Dugout Bar

239 E 6th St
Fremont, 68025
Reviews:
The Dugout is a great little neighborhood dive bar at the north end of downtown Fremont. This was the busiest bar we visited in downtown Fremont on this particular Friday night. It was clear that we were outsiders, but the regulars welcomes us in and made us feel at home. The crowd was mostly middle aged and we walked in to several of them singing along with ELO on the juke box. Drinks were dirt cheap. This was our favorite straight-up bar in Fremont.
