Solid Americanized Chinese food. The owner Fu is the sweetest man on earth. He greets every customer and works tirelessly everyday. Great buffet deal!

Good Chinese food here. They have a good buffet, they put out small batches of the various dishes which ensures freshness. If they're busy you have to be nimble and quick to get your favorite.

Ate here once and that was one time too many. Food was absolutely disgusting. Greasy. Nasty. The inside is old and gross. I can't believe people eat here.

Best Americanized-Chinese in Fremont. Buffet always contains a wide variety of dishes and they are nice and hot! The egg drop soup here is one of my favorites. The owner (Fu, I think his name is?) is always happy to see us, and accommodating. If you have never been to Brass Wok, or if you don't visit often, he may seem quick to get you in and out. I've been coming to Brass Wok since I was a child; that's just the way he is. The staff is quick to replenish the buffet or clear your dishes. Order from the counter, have a seat, and enjoy some soup while you wait for your entree. Lunch prices are great and dinner prices are reasonable. Our family of 3 can eat for under 25 bucks during supper service. I still meet my Dad here for lunch once in awhile. The building is older and the restrooms are small. It's not that the place isn't clean, but it could use a Spring cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. I prefer to call it "BRASS WOK CLASSIC." If that type of thing bothers you, get take out or go through the drive thru. Otherwise, let Fu take care of you!

I ordered a hot n sour soup today. It was disgusting. I couldn't even eat it. I will not go back. Normally I have good things to say about this place, but my last few visits have not been good. The quality and taste of the food has been going down hill.

Food was good and service at the drive thru was quick. Mongolian beef was tasty, egg roll was big, and hot and sour soup was above average. I'll go back next time I am in Fremont.

I actually used to think this place was pretty good, when I was in high school.... And I don't want to admit how long ago that was! Anyway, this place is exactly the same as it was YEARS ago, and I'm not sure that is a good thing! This place is run down and the Chinese food is mediocre! Needs an update!

Brass Wok has been here a long time. It hasn't changed much but that is ok. The hot and sour soup is wonderful. You have a choice of buffet or menu most of the time. I have switched on and off on that through the years. Some of the menu items are better than the usual choices on the buffet. I love the Plum chicken and Mongolian chicken or pork. Many of the entrees are available in 2 sizes. It's always fresh on the buffet. A must try if you like Chinese food. The fried rice is very good also. This place is consistently delicious.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
