(I made a yelp account just to write a review for this place because our service was that horrendous. Save yourself a trip unless you want to be treated like dirt from "management") Was thoroughly embarrassed and bullied by the "manager" here. My friend took me out to lunch and was explaining to me how great the food and service was here. She is very restricted to what she can eat, and picked a pasta dish. Our waiter was friendly, at first, and the appetizers were great. However, when she tried her pasta she simply could not eat it. It was very cheesy and the cheese tasted like, well, feet. We hate sending back dishes, as we have both worked food service and understand what it's like to be a burden on the kitchen staff. However, when our waiter returned, I apolegetically explained that we could not have the pasta and asked for a swap out. He was VERY rude about, and kept pushing us to explain what was wrong. For lack of better words, I finally told him that it tasted like feet. He then grabbed our plate, and huffily walked away without a word. He then yelled to the kitchen "Hey, table number _ says your pasta tastes like feet!" We heard every word from the kitchen staff, who was rudely talking back to the waiter. I was appalled that we were made such a spectacle for how considerately we let him know the food was bad. When he returned, we asked to speak to a manager. He then leans on our table, and places crosses his arms and says "I am the manager. You upset my kitchen staff." That was NO way for a manager to speak to his customers. We were bullied, and walked out red-faced. We were so kind about him taking the dish back and expected no compensation. If I were the manager of the brewhouse, I would have him fired. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in any restaurant in Helena. They lost two return customers today, and a big tip at that too. Brewhouse, if you are reading this, as soon as we walked out, a woman asked us how our food was and we told her exactly how we were treated. Word of mouth spreads. And to the bearded "tough guy" manager, I don't know who you seduced to get your position, but you sure as hell don't deserve it.

I stopped looking for something to eat and a glass of wine. Yeah I know it's a brewhouse but I didn't feel like any beer today. I had a traditional Cobb salad and a glass of red wine. Both were good and there was a decent selection of red wine to choose from. I can't wait to come back and try other menu items. Because I was alone I sat at the bar, the bartender was courteous and professional.

I end up eating here at least two times every time I return to Helena to visit my family. The beers are all fantastic, same as the food, but the service is so friendly and so nice. I will be back again this spring :)

My family stopped here for lunch (not our first time) and it was really good. Hot, fresh food and an awesome waitress. I had the Queen's Fish. My kids were happy, I was happy and our bellies were full. This is a very family friendly environment and fun establishment. I have yet to try a brew... Things that could make it better: -In past visits, the restaurant was pretty loud; people competing with the loud music to have conversations. Maybe just turn down the speakers a bit.

19 July 2014 we "tried" to eat here. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait. They musta thought we were Canadian and on the metric time system because by our Montana watches it was 35 minutes. Then we sat around waiting for our waitress and when someone did show up she told us that she had NO IDEA that our table was hers. After a lengthy period had passed everyone in the "joint" noticed a horrible "gas odor" and no one representing this "joint" stood up to say anything!! Well... we got out'a there before anything bad / worse happened... eat had a great Subway sandwich and watched the Helena Fire Dept roll up!! They NEED A NEW MANAGER... because the one they had wasn't.... Managing .... AT ALL I'll never go back!

I entered The Brewhouse with some hopes from friends and colleagues. I must say, it's overrated and disappointing. Entering, I was overwhelmed by the dark and shady environment. The host and waitress were nice, but the place wasn't considered clean to my expectations. The place definitely needs some dusting. Also, the cooks were visibly eating while working. What was most disappointing was the food. I ordered a Bratwurst with fries, and my friend ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger. The Bratwurst was decent, yet bland. My friend's burger was falling apart. Looking closer in to the burger, the beef looked like it was frozen; perhaps for days or bought, shipped, already made from some other place. The burger tasted dry. My Bratwurst was not worth $9.75. The burger was definitely not worth $10.25. The fries were good, I haven't experienced a place to ruin that side entree. My drink was $4.50; Lewis and Clark's hefeweizen, which is sold at the brewery for $3.00. An obvious rip off considering that the beer was not same quality taste as the brewery's. Perhaps this place is mainly designed for drinking and barfing afterwards. I recommend this place to get loaded on booze, burn a hole in your pocket, revolt it's quality, and don't go back due to regrets.

Awesome place to eat. Beer battered mozzarella sticks and the blackened prime rib sandwich hit the spot. The blackened prime rib sandwich sells out quickly so try to get it before dinner.

One of my Favorite places to eat. Staff has always been great and the food is wonderful!!!!

Decent food, better upstairs than the new "downstairs". I'd give the upstairs four stars and the downstairs two stars, so an average of three. Downstairs has some issues. The servers are seen serving themselves beer from the taps while on duty, I find that unprofessional. For us we go upstairs for a much better experience. Queen's Fish is good even tho it's not halibut anymore. Still a favorite of mine.

  • Lacey D.

The quality of the food has really gone downhill in the last few years. Burgers that used to be fresh and flavorful have been replaced with what look and taste like frozen pre-made patties. The fish and chips and salads are simply okay, definitely not worth the twelve to fifteen bucks they are charging. Furthermore, there always seem to be plenty of extra staff just standing around but service is slow and indifferent. It's a fine place to go get beer and onion rings but I'd look elsewhere for dinner.

Had a very good experience here while in Helena on a business trip. We arrived and joined another party after they were already eating, the waitress didn't bat an eye and was very gracious and attentive the entire meal. My NY Steak was done to my preference and the price included salad, potato and veggies and I felt it was a good value. Tried a local beer that I also enjoyed. A coworker had a pizza that was very sizable and that he was very pleased with. Noisy and our table was kind of crowded in (there were six chairs but really only room for 5 people) but overall, I highly recommend.

Fabulous fabulous food, highly recommend. Every visit to Helena my family visits here. Fish wrap is amazing and so are the burgers. Love the casual environment and friendly staff. I will be back again.

this place gets 5 stars just for the view from the deck. Granted, I was visiting from the midwest so sipping a beer looking at mountains is not something that I get to do very often. My girlfriend and I went to the Brewhouse twice on our recent trip to town. Both times we had great service and were really impressed with their food. I was impressed with the server's knowledge of the different beers (I'm a beer geek and love to quiz them local beers).

Great craft beers. Food a resounding "OK". Sandwich and burger buns came out cold. Busy for a Weds night, but you can make reservations.

  • Clifford B.

A good fillet steak done properly medium well. Tasty garlic potatoes. Good service and a good beer selection, featuring local and regional brews. Surprisingly not noisy on Saturday evening in the bar area. Two beers and a steak cost me $35; good value for money.

Sports Bar meets Restaurant. Not a first time at the Brewhouse, but always fast friendly service. The place is almost always busy, so that says something. They no longer brew at this location, just an FYI. But from salads to hamburgers appetizers, our group were all satisfied. The coconut halibut was a winner as was the shrimp appetizers. They are close to the college, but also close to downtown Helena and the business area, so quite an eclectic crowd. In summer months, they have good outdoor space for those who need to get outside and still have lunch.

  • Scott B.

Decent selection of beers, no liquor, but the Queens Fish is amazing!!! I will go back just for that.

Consistently great. I've been here many times and that's how I would describe the Brewhouse. Good food, good service, consistently I leave happy and full.

Consistently great. Been dining here for a very long time and it has never let me down. Same great food and service throughout the years. Cheers Brewhouse! You deserve 5 Stars

Niece is attending Carroll College, so we all went across the street for lunch at the Brewhouse. Extensive menu, with burgers, sandwiches, salads and a wide selection of beers. Food is just okay, nothing spectacular, and prices are a bit higher than you would expect. $10 for an appetizer plate of O Rings. Kinda pricey. Service was good and we got in and out in short order, but wouldn't consider this a landmark, must see kind of place. $150 for nine people at lunch, no alcohol. It was alright, nothing more.

    (3)
  • Richards D.

Cool place. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Many great menu options. The 'Great White' pizza was a bit bland whereas the 'Buffalo Sandwich' was full of flavor. The 'Queens Fish' was tasty but dry. Makes up for my awful stay at the Howard Johnsons down the way (Don't do it). Ha!

  • Roscoe C.

I recently spent a week in Helena, and ate at the Brewhouse several times. The food was quite good, as was the service. I was also impressed by the industriousness of the staff and the cleanliness of the establishment.

  • Spiro T.

Brewery meets Restaurant meets Sports Bar. Good place to go if you're looking for a decent beer selection paired with solid food. They also serve beer that is not brewed by them. Liquor also available at the bar. One of the beer that they brew, Miner's Gold, is a standout if you're in the mood for a refreshing summer drink. The service here is hit or miss, but the food has always been consistent. Mushroom appetizer is a winner. Onion rings are delicious. Also, their rib platters are accompanied by a selection of some really great housemade BBQ sauce. Their burgers are nothing special. Their fish and chips are excellent (it's the beer batter). Prime rib is good. Plenty of TVs to watch the game. Altogether, a solid place.

Wonderful----both food and service. We go there often ---especially with out-of-town guests and are always happy. This place is a gem!

  • Eric B.

I've only spent about a total of 10 days in Helena in my life, but I've probably eaten at the Brewhouse about 10 times. Just solid food and good beer - what more can you ask for?

    (5)
  • Alexa G.

The Brewhouse does make decent food, not fabulous, but good if you're hungry and don't mind spending extra cashWednesday has a dinner-time happy hour where one can get 8 wings for $2. Sounds wonderful, right? A nice restaurant walking distance from the school that occasionally offers cheap food! Ah...but there is a catch. Now one must order beer to get wings; tough luck for those of us who aren't of the drinking age. This short-falling as a family friendly/college hot spot along with only "okay" food make this a place I would not recommend.

  • Rami H.

Big portions. Service was a tad attentive. Everyone liked their food including the young kids.

    (3)
  • Michelle C.

Had one of the worst salads ever, the chop salad. Lettuce was brown and wilted and salad was boring and not great flavor. I was informed that the downstairs, where I ate, has a different menu from upstairs. Maybe upstairs is better? To be safe, I would stick with beer, which seems to be what they are best at serving.

Stopped in here for a quick feed while on the road and was very impressed. Atmosphere is lively, almost all the tables were full on this Saturday afternoon. Decor is interesting-- lots to look at, there are artifacts like motorcycle hanging from roof, petrol pump and lots of old signs neon and sheet metal from days gone by. Beer selection is great as they are linked to the Lewis and Clark Brewery. I had a Scottish Ale and the Big Belt seasonal bock. They offer 10oz, 16oz and 22oz. Portobella Mushroom Burger (under $10) was amazing, the best I've had (and this mushroom loving girl has traveled the world) It was made on dark rye with pesto, chargrilled red peppers, zucchini and provolone cheese. I'm totally borrowing this combo for home cooking. Service was friendly and informed without being fuss. Nice one Brewhouse!

  • Chris M.

Good beer selection and service is friendly enough. Food is touch and go. I ordered the Blackened Prime Rib sandwich and there was nothing blackened about it. Fat content was close to half of the meat. Given it is a "specialty" I'm sure if done right it's great. I left half of mine in the plate. Fries were nice and crispy though.

  • Gabriel K.

I rarely write reviews for restaurants, but I had such a superb meal here that I feel it's necessary. The Brewhouse's prime rib sandwich was divine. I generally think prime rib is overrated, with a fatty slimy quality, but this was quite different. It was a thick cut of perfectly moist beef, with a delectable Cajun seasoning. I was disappointed when I was finished with it. The atmosphere was fun, especially since we got to watch the NFL's first 7-9 team make the playoffs. I can't wait to go back.

  • Andrew R.

Luckily we had an "in" with the staff here, so the service was great, but the burgers had a stale flavor, the beer was mediocre, and my salad had an actual mud ball in it. A mud ball, not a bit of grit. Luckily, we also had a gift certificate to pay with, which took the sting out of the experience.

  • Ryan V.

I'm just reviewing off of memories from the Brewhouse. Never had a bad experience, burgers were great, and 3 for 3's (3 beers for $3) were even better. Great selection of Lewis and Clark and other regional beers. I would definitely go here for a burger and a good beer anytime.

  • John H.

Great beer! Some of the beers listed on menu weren't available due to brewery relocation but neat atmosphere and friendly staff made up for it.

Coconut crusted onion rings? Wow, unusual combination but very good. The whiskey new york strip was OK, i ordered medium but it came out closer to medium well but was still good. French fries were not bad not really 5 guys quality but what is? The salad was great for me and came with the meal. i do not like a lot of stuff on mine. mostly only lettuce, this came with sunflower seeds which i love. service was good not great. will be here for another week later this month and will be back to try their pork tenderloin looked pretty good on the menu.

We were driving through Helena and needed to grab a quick bite to eat but weren't interested in chain restaurants or fast food, so we took a chance on the Brewhouse. Our expectations weren't high, but even those expectations were let down. On the plus side, the inside of the restaurant is nice... good vibe for a restaurant / bar, local artist pictures, local photos, etc. The menu looked promising since it was expansive, but I think they'd be better off cutting it in half and focusing on the quality of the food with less items. We started with the garlic fries, but unfortuntely either the garlic was missing or in such low quantity that it couldn't be tasted. Next my wife got french onion soup which was unusually thick, with no cheese on top, and a single crouton for the bread. To top it off, she had a nice long hair on the last bite... yummy! Our entrees weren't much better. I played it safe with a club sandwich, and it was ok... but my wife got a tenderloin medallion pasta dish that she took 3 bites of and was done. The service wasn't the best... at no point did the waitress seem concerned that we weren't really eating our food. We're not big on complaining so we grabbed the check and dashed out a bit hungry.

We've been here twice. Different nights of the week each time, different seasons. Both times, the place was really busy. The first time, we waited and waited and waited to get served. We had gone to the bar to get beers before being seated, luckily, because our glasses were empty for 20 minutes before someone (not our server) offered to refill them and then our very apologetic server took our order. She had a table near us that was a party of twenty that should have had two servers to keep things moving and keep other parties from waiting forever. Our food took equally long to arrive once it was finally ordered. But it was good. Then we watied forever for the check. The server continued to be apologetic. The next time, this past Friday night, we had better service but it was still pretty slow. This time, I could see the kitchen from where I was sititng and it doesn't seem like they are slow. The place for the servers to pick up plates was constantly full of plates to be taken. The servers are pretty friendly and always moving, I just don't think there are enough of them. The beer is excellent and the atmosphere is excellent.

    (3)
  • James J.

Service was sub-par. We could see our server hanging out and goofing around by the entrance to the kitchen. Never really stopped by to check on us. However, the moment we got up to leave, he was there INSTANTLY to see how much of a tip we left him for his disappointing service. We sat right across from the food window and watched our food sit in the window for 10 minutes under the heat lamps and got nuked before reaching us. One of the guys in my group got their burger cold. My prime rib sandwich was dried and scorched from the heat lamp. Au jus tasted like it was made with pure salt. Not sure if we will be back.

Have eaten here several times over the years....always been great. Ate here last weekend after a road trip with my wife and was gravely disappointed. Our wait staff cared more about vacuuming the floor and talking to people they knew than helping us with our order. Our food came out and tasted less than tasty. My wife couldn't even eat her chicken wrap and my burger was bland and without any flavor. It's texture was that of rubber and was frankly terrible. I will never spend another dime here.

    (1)
  • Zack G.

The steak sandwich is the best thing on the menu. The staff is great, and the place is clean.

    (5)
  • David M.

The food is good, nothing amazing, basic beer pub food. What sets it apart are the 5 star wear a tux prices. It's rare to find a pub that charges about $25 a plate. The waitstaff had shorts and tee shirts food is ok; but who can afford this place?

    (3)
  • Morgan B.

I've been here several times and the quality of food is always consistent. I really like their afterburner burger and their way out west chicken barbecue bacon pizza. They have a lot of beer on tap with a bunch of them being local beers. Great choices I think. they get four stars instead of five because the service just wasn't quite exceptional. Nothing specific to complain about but it could've been a little bit better. They do have lots of TVs around so if you want to come in for a burger and a beer and watch the game it's a great place for that and I highly recommend it!

    (4)
  • Mike L.

Being a burger snob, this was pretty good. Could have had a few more options on the burger, but overall it was great. Pricing wasn't bad, and staff was very friendly. They had a band playing downstairs the first time I was there, and it wasn't too loud when we were upstairs.

    (4)
  • Kory K.

Food was great, however the hostess was not the friendliest,to say the VERY least. We had a basketball tourney with 5-6 graders. There was a mix up in the seating. Her fault. Instead of trying to alleviate the problem, she was rude. I was in shock for a few to the way she talked to me. I brushed it off for her being young, and it was busy. Just a suggestion... If you are going to have a hostess to greet your patrons, be sure to tell her to smile, be nice and when its a bad day, don't take it out on your customers... Because they just may not return.

    (3)
  • Kristie S.

First, let me say that the beer selection is one of the best in Helena. You can find a variety of brews from around the state. The Brewhouse loses two stars for its food. While the prices are reasonable, and they have a solid variety of dishes, there is little-to-no consistency in quality. The bf and I tend to be creatures of habit, but we've found that even if you order the same menu item, there's absolutely no guarantee that taste, quantity, or temperature will remain constant. It's a bit of a bummer, but still worth a stop if you want a good brew, and you're willing to advocate for your own food quality.

    (3)
  • Adam K.

This isn't my first time here, but it might be my last. My first impression was better than my current. We got a sampler of all their beer for my girlfriend since it was her first time here. The beer was a bit more mediocre this last time. Food was pretty good--nothing fantastic. Maybe I would have rated it better if I had not just had a great brewpub experience last week elsewhere. I would probably come back if they did a better job on the beer side.

  • Brent G.

Friends took us here last night. First time to Helena, this was good food for a brew house. I had the Atena chicken sandwich and it was good, my wife had the enfurno burger and said it was great. We had kids in the group and this place was ready for the kids, crayons, kid menu and loud. I would return if i was looking for a casual quick bite to eat or maybe catch a game. The service was decent and quick.

    (4)
  • Etha C.

My mom and I ate here on the advice of a friend who visits Helena often. I was not impressed. The staff was not interested in being friendly or offering any more service than was absolutely necessary. The beer my mom ordered wasn't available so she asked for a recommendation and the server just looked at her. I had the greek salad which as ok, but not anything I would order again. Our server never checked with us after our food was delivered which I always find annoying.

Amazing beer. Amazng food, and Amazing service. I had the buffalo blue burger and then white choc-raspberry cheesecake. Both recommnedations from my friendly and attentive server Dean. The cream ale and hefe there are amazing too. Will definitely return when back in town.

We were looking for a place that served food after nine on a weeknight. The Brewhouse ended up being a great choice. Pizza was tasty, as was the cod. GREAT selection of Montana beers and other microbrews along with the standards. Service was friendly and prompt. I wouldn't make a special trip to Helena just for this place, but I'd stop by again if I was in the area.

I grew up in Helena and decided to have a quiet Friday night in and order my favorite burger. I called ahead and they let me know the order would be 25 minutes. I picked it up and checked my order in the car. The fries were cold so I took it back in. They said they fixed it for me and I drove home. The fries were still cold, inedible, so I returned again (I live close) and they apologized profusely. I returned home and found that they had forgotten the sauces I had ordered as well, which is part of the reason I go to this establishment. The burger was luke warm at best at this point and the patty was obviously a cookie cutter pre-frozen variety. What happened to the hand pressed patties? They had also forgotten the onion and tomato, so I returned once again. Seriously though, if I hadn't lived so close I would have just eaten it and been dissatisfied. Oh wait, I was dissatisfied. The food was sub par, even if it had been fresh and hot. By the time I had actually gotten everything I ordered, a group of six that had been waiting when I first arrived had been seated and was almost done with their meals. The hostesses were nice, but in all reality, they're the ones in charge of quality control on to go orders. I will NEVER go back to this place.

  • Sarah M.

I've been going to this place since it first opened. I thought it might fail at first, horrible timing (we got our salads after our main course), service, etc, but they turned it around. The food is always good. They have normal pub/grill food: wraps, burgers, fish, pasta, etc. The onion rings are beer battered and plentiful. Spinach dip is decent. Chicken marsala is yummy. The have a lot of different Montana beers on tap. Over the years it's turned in to more of a sports bar though instead of an upscale place to eat in Helena. For that they get 3 stars (though I'm sure they are just catering to the clientele.)

When we landed in Great Falls we were hungry, but wanted to wait until we got to Helena to eat. The mention of a prime rib sandwich jumped out at me so despite the if-y rating we decided to give it a shot. My mouth is watering just thinking about the food... My mom and I both got the prime rib sandwich and it is the best prime rib / steak sandwiches I have ever had (steak sandwich is second to my love of fried chicken). Seriously...I want to fly there right now to get another one!! My husband had the cod, and although I am not a fan of deep fried fish it was delicious and not greasy as seems to be the norm. My dad had the Reuben, which is my least favorite sandwich, and THAT was even delicious. The server was very spunky when my dad asked if they had a bathroom, "Nope, we just go out back...haha...just kidding!" My dad almost fell off his chair. That will teach him to ask a proper question! She was super nice and was able to recommend beer and answer all our questions about the food. All in all we were prepared for anything and considering how hungry we were it probably wouldn't have mattered, but this place went above and beyond it's 3-1/2 star rating. Check it out, you really won't regret it!

Good place. Pretty much a sports bar. Very popular. Good beer. Big TVs but its hard to get away from them any more. The listing about Wifi here in Yelp is incorrect. They do, in fact have free wifi.

Came in for a late lunch/early dinner while on business in Helena (it's walking distance from the "BEST" hotel in Helena, the Great Northern BW!) They've got Lewis & Clark Hefe on tap... Yum! I order the small (10 oz) prime rib done up Cajun style and medium rare. Comes with soup... Which is this thick, creamy, out of this world Chicken Jalapeño! If I could put this directly into my bloodstream I would... It's that good. Steak comes out and as the waitress tells me, their loss is my gain, for the kitchen has given me the 16 ouncer, which is this humongous hunk of beef. I ask for horseradish, and the waitress brings me something atomic (I kid you not... My nose hairs burned-off!) I even eat 3 French fries, that must be homemade (they're great!) Not certain what some of these reviews are talking about that don't give high marks (not certain what you're thinking if you order calamari here though?) Next time I'm in Helena, I'll be back!

Favorite spot in Helena. This review is mostly about the upstairs part. Casual, fun time. Better quality and more variety than your typical "pub grub". Wait staff and owners are friendly and accommodating. Service is very good, but there are times when the house is just packed and things just take longer. Downstairs has a quieter, more refined ambiance. Wine bar, not brew pub. Smaller menu. Great for larger parties and special events. Same owners and shared staff, so customer service approach is still great.

Great service. Very disappointed in the encrusted ahi tuna for $24. Tuna was a low grade and had a very light pink color. I've always had great food here, but this ahi tuna was not good.

Excellent food. Two different places. Bottom bar area is open at 3. Restraint open at 11. Great beer selection. Great food! Muscles and burgers were excellent!

Great service, great beer and great food! My wife and I went here while we stayed in Helena for the night on our way to Glacier National Park. After reading other reviews I decided to give them a try. Don't order the onion rings if your not extremely hungry or splitting with 5! She wasn't really hungry and decided to grab a light snack and went with the onion rings. Either way they were delicious. I got the prime rib sandwich and it was as delicious as everyone else revised about. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with my beer selection (even though she didn't bring me what I ordered, it was on my list to try so I didn't mind).

In my opinion, the best onion rings in Helena. And the beer selection isn't bad either. The downstairs menu is really good and a bit different from traditional brewhouse fare.

Vacationing in national parks, we came to Helena, Montana. Monday night football Patriots vs. Chiefs. Had the 16 oz prime rib dinner fir $26. Now that's what I call a man size piece of meat. Didn't like the soup so a salad was given in exchange. Thanks. Nice pub with several beers on tap. Waitress was very nice to give smaller sampler of four beers for a member of our party to taste. Any way, forgot the names but we definitely like two out of the four samplers and proceeded to order. Like the atmosphere and the many TV screens for sports viewing. I would eat here again. The parking lot was small but since was able to park across the street..

I followed through on the recommendation for the Prime Rib sandwich and was early enough before they ran out. Very good advice! The atmosphere and service match the food, very top notch. The place seemed crowded when we arrived but the wait to seat two was very short and more than worth it. Nice beers too! I don't give 5 stars lightly but this place earns them.

This is my 2nd time in the past 4 months. Great beer options. My last visit tried the plum porter. If you are a fan of Guinness this is a good dark beer. I had the Queen's fish , which was pretty good too. This place is always busy when I am here. I ended up sitting at the bar this time since I was traveling alone. I think they were training some new employees so service was slower than I have gotten in the past. This place is a place to go if you are visiting Helena. Really good beer, better be since they are a brewery! Food is just decent. Normal brew and pub fare

Big menu, a couple of vegetarian options but my entire table opted for fish. Nicely done pub food. Good selection of microbrews on tap. Very busy, but to be expected when Carroll College is in session. Kid friendly with crayons and a kid's menu. Service was friendly enough both times I've been there.

Great place to try out some MT brews. Good selection on the menu and great place to stop when going to a Carroll College event. The garlic cheese fries are dangerously good...beware.

Being a burger snob, this was pretty good. Could have had a few more options on the burger, but overall it was great. Pricing wasn't bad, and staff was very friendly. They had a band playing downstairs the first time I was there, and it wasn't too loud when we were upstairs.

The food is good, nothing amazing, basic beer pub food. What sets it apart are the 5 star wear a tux prices. It's rare to find a pub that charges about $25 a plate. The waitstaff had shorts and tee shirts food is ok; but who can afford this place?

Food was great, however the hostess was not the friendliest,to say the VERY least. We had a basketball tourney with 5-6 graders. There was a mix up in the seating. Her fault. Instead of trying to alleviate the problem, she was rude. I was in shock for a few to the way she talked to me. I brushed it off for her being young, and it was busy. Just a suggestion... If you are going to have a hostess to greet your patrons, be sure to tell her to smile, be nice and when its a bad day, don't take it out on your customers... Because they just may not return.

Vacationing in national parks, we came to Helena, Montana. Monday night football Patriots vs. Chiefs. Had the 16 oz prime rib dinner fir $26. Now that's what I call a man size piece of meat.

Still a favorite of mine.

this place gets 5 stars just for the view from the deck.

Ha!

I'm just reviewing off of memories from the Brewhouse. Never had a bad experience, burgers were great, and 3 for 3's (3 beers for $3) were even better. Great selection of Lewis and Clark and other regional beers. I would definitely go here for a burger and a good beer anytime.
