If I could give more than five stars I would. Everything about this event was incredible. We took wagons drawn by draft horses up to the mess hall or pavilion for dinner. Bruce has had more than 20 years of driving draft horses and has great stories to tell along the way. The mess hall was beautifully set for our dinner, then the salad was way above "just" salad greens. Bruce is a foodie so only serves the best. The prime rib was almost as big as our plates. Let's not forget the huckleberry cheesecake! I wish I could have licked my plate. Bruce Anfinson and staff are wonderful hosts and Bruce is an excellent musician. We enjoyed the entire evening. Highly highly recommended.

This restaurant is conveniently located in the Helena Airport. I was pleasantly surprised with the food options on the menu. They also offer a soup and salad bar which includes three soups that are homemade daily. I decided on the soup and salad bar. I sampled each of the soups and they were delicious. The salad bar included a very large selection of toppings and dressings. If I am ever flying through Helena I will be sure to eat here!!

Not only is the froyo (frozen yogurt) amazing but so is the service and interior decor. They must have at least 10 different frozen yogurt flavors to choose from and another dozen+ toppings. And all for $0.42/ounce - what a steal! They also have an XBox set up on the corner tv for people to play and enjoy whenever they want and a bean bag pile in the same corner. Talk about fun eating !
AWESOME YOGURT... for only 40 cents an ounce you can't beat that with a baseball bat. You get to add whatever toppings you want and as much as you want. Need I say more?
this yoghurt is amazing! Super friendly staff and lots of yoghurt and toppings to choose from.. very nice decor.. and family friendly

We like this place. We got chicken caprese sandwich and salad. They were so good. The toast was cruncy and tasty too. The mushroom soup and tomato soup were good too. The pastas were yummy. Our kids liked the pesto pasta and alfredo mushroom. Afterwards you could get ice cream for 50cents. And they were sooo goood and creamy and tasty. The service was awesome! Thankyou!! PS: They even have treats for dogs too!
My family came in for lunch on a Thursday. Counter service, daily specials. We had the peach smoothy (to pair with toast---for my picky 13 year old). My two younger kids shared the ham and cheese with roasted red pepper tomato soup. Their only complaint was too much cheese. Parmesan in the soup and Swiss in the sandwich. They are 9 and 11, so keep that in mind. My husband and I shared the mushroom/onion sandwich with bacon and the chicken caprese sandwich. Both came with a lovely side salad. Our lunch was less than we pay for breakfast at Starbucks, 28 or so for a family of five. We drank water. We enjoyed the chicken caprese sandwich more than the veggie/bacon. All in all a great experience in downtown Helena.
Don't let the name of this establishment fool you! Fabulous, freshly prepared pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches! If I could give them 10 stars I would. This family owned cafe is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Helena! Staff is super friendly!

Very comfortable in saying this is the best Mexican food in town. The portions are huge. I was not expecting that, because I have walked out of many of the other Taquerias in Helena still hungry after spending 12+ dollars. The food tastes great and they have really good specials. I have tried four different menu items there and they have all been extremely good. I recommend trying whatever they have on special or the tacos loco. The Macho nachos are also very good they don't skimp on the toppings they include jalapenos, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, cheese, beans, green onions, olives, and your choice of one of their four signature meats for around 7.25 The owners are also very friendly and you get service with a smile.
My experience was not the same as the other reviewers. A co-worker and I ordered two lunch specials. The rice and beans were very bland, as was the sauce. Two different meats in my tamales -- which tasted more like cornbread, and the meat was definitely day old in the one. It was Americanized Mexican at best, and there are a couple better places in town. I don't recommend the tamales or enchiladas based on this visit. Bummer!
Delicious food! Coming from Southern California we were impressed by the tastiness of this place. Also the customer service was great would definitely return of we were staying in the area.

Blackfoot River Brewing Company

Both of my stays in Helena have been steeped in Blackfoot brews, and delightfully so (quite literally: when I open my car door, I'm greeted with a hot waft of a growler's-worth of beer that tragically broke in my back seat, but I digress). Blue Collar Bitter is my go-to, and I'd never turn down a bottle of their Belgian. You can smell the warm, bubbly mash before you even get around the corner. Walking in the door, it is supremely obvious that these folks are really community-focused and I love every bit of it. The age-range is huge (kids to grandparents) and everyone always has a smile on their face and is engaged in conversation. I've walked in to unexpected live music and local non-profit fundraiser nights (apparently these things happen every week?!). Every staff member, both tap room and brewery, that I've interacted with has warmly greeted me and made me feel welcome. A nice porch and abundant (FREE) popcorn win points. Also easy wifi access also makes for a casually lubricated work space...if you get there early ;) Bottom line: If you've been nostalgic for "local pub"--a place where you gather to meet up with anyone and everyone--that is unpretentious, friendly as shit, and committed to their people, welcome home.
Great find while passing through Helena on the Continental Divide Trail. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, beer selection was great...LOVED the Scottish Ale! The outdoor porch was the cherry on top! Definitely worth a visit...wish we were staying longer so we could go back for more.
As far as gems of Helena, MT go, Blackfoot sparkles. Excellent beer selection, I am infrequently disappointed at the various beverages that have been available in past visits. I'm not a huge fan of the Scottish Ale. Their cream ale is a staple not to be missed. I've never done their sampler but others have mentioned that it is an excellent deal with plenty o' variety. Free popcorn. Great atmosphere. Servers seem to enjoy their job and are good at what they do. Only downside is that you can only get 4 beers a visit, but if anything, it prevents them from dealing with trouble. Plus, there's always Millers next door....

Huckleberry & Sea Salt Caramel = Delicious!
Awesome place for ice cream in Helena! Lines can get long, but its with the wait! Love how they have rotating flavors along with the core menu!
During the summer my family went here quite often. Although you might have to wait in line during their busy times, it is absolutely worth it. I always get the white mint Oreo ice cream, but everything else is delicious as well! Love going to the Big Dipper on summer evenings.
