On our way to Sturgis on a hot day and stumbled upon this little slice of heaven. Chocolate malt for me, choc/van swirl for my man. It cooled us off and hit the spot. Super friendly and fast service.

This is a nice little Ice Cream and Burger place in Butte, and reasonably close to the freeway. The staff here was really nice, and my family was able to get something tasty during our road trip to Yellowstone. I've had better milkshakes (read my review of the Soda Fountain in Ennis, MT) but the prices were good and the kids enjoyed them, so that's a winner in my book. Stop and get yourself something tasty. You deserve it!

Burger was fine, fish and chips looked like they came from the freezer section at Safeway though. Got those 2 things and a small milk shake and somehow ran the bill up to $22. Could have gone to a sit down restaurant for the price. This place is little more than a glorified drive-thru.

For less than ten bucks, Get yourself a burger, fry and drink, And try not to get excited If Old Sam at the grill gives ya a wink; You see Sam's got OCD, Tourette's and anxiety, too, So it's not that he fancies ya, Or thinks you're just the prettiest little Sioux. Sammy probably don't even notice ya, I reckon he's not even aware That you're all alone tonight Hungry for a burger 'n a man who cares. Now you might think I'm singing to a gal, Or at least not to a guy; But I'm singin' to ya both, Because Old Sammy's bi. And when you get that burger And drink and side of fries, I tell ya don't even look at Sammy, Don't find no gleam in his eyes. That gleam's there, Lord knows it's true, But it was there last year, 'n the one before that Cuz Old Sam's not romantic, He's just a drunk polecat. But he makes a good burger, Best in the lower forty-eight, So tip him for his hard work 'n talent, Not because you'd take him upstate. And by "upstate" ya know what I mean, And I'm sure you'd do nothin' but please, But you're always welcome to spend your dollars, At Butte's one and only Bonanza Freeze. And again by the word "please," Don't bother puttin' on you're specks, 'Cause you know what that means, And yeah, I mean oral sex. And so if ya find yourself in Montana And you're too cheap for Sudanese, Giddy up on over to Butte! And grab a burger at Bonanza Freeze.

Bonanza Freeze is a must stop anytime I return to Butte for a day or two. Their cyclones beat a dq blizzard, hands down!

We love stopping at old fashioned ice cream shops. This place was cute and reasonable. Great Banana Split. Food great. Wish we had tried the Slowda, sounds interesting. Needs better restroom facilities.
