Not many options for Vicksburg - but this place is okay. They have two separate bars - one that you can smoke at and the other that is not smoke free. Several other little pockets as well, including a section you can play darts and s section you can play pool. Draft options were limited (and incorrect?) They displayed a Covington Strawberry tap, but the bartender informed us it was an Apple flavored cider. I tried to order a PBR bottle, displayed as available on the shelf - but was then told they stopped carrying it because a Russian company bought them out. Yay America!

I absolutely love everything about Vicksburg except for one little thing. Everything is closed on Sunday. Living in the 24 hour town of New Orleans has kind of spoiled me. I was shocked in Vicksburg on a Sunday driving to various restaurants and finding place after place closed. This is how I ended up at Monsour's At The Biscuit Company. While I think it's a huge plus that they are open on Sunday, the food just wasn't that good. Have you ever eaten at a Piccadilly? Then you already have eaten here. It's like really bland home style cooking. If that's your thing, you'll love it. Its not really mine, though. A couple of pros (besides the fact that they're open on Sunday). The guy (owner?) behind the bar was the sweetest and most welcoming guy. He was so friendly that I feel bad for this review. Sorry :( The view is amazing. Sit in the very front of the restaurant. Walls of windows make for a fantastic view of the River and downtown Vicksburg. It's bright and cheerful in that area of the place. The rest of the restaurant is dim, boring and bland. Kind of like the food.

My husband and I purposefully stopped in Vicksburg because this place was great the last time we visited. Unfortunately, we don't feel like that anymore. We got there and was informed about their steak special at 5. We decided to try it out, but when we went to go sit, we were told that we couldn't have the special upstairs, we had to go to the bottom smoking part. The reason why....the steak special is messy and we don't want to have to replace the white linens!!! Ya, super irritated that we were basically told that we are messy eaters and they couldn't trust that we wouldn't be messy. Then, to top it off, they couldn't decide how much a round of beers was. The first round, $6.50, the second round $4.50, the third round $6.50 again Super disappointed and we won't be returning.

This place is roach infested!! Went to the ladies bathroom to wash my hands b/c we had just placed our order...and while reaching for the basket with the hand napkins ...baby roaches ran everywhere! I freaked out! Please know the ladies bathroom shares the wall to the KITCHEN! I went to my table and told my friends and we went and let our waiter know what I witnessed and told them we where leaving! I'm still gagging! We are from out of state and this resturant came highly recommended by the Locals.

Weekday lunch was ok but nothing special. Would not return. Nice view of river and artwork. Best was the homemade chips and fries that came with order. They were out of fried green tomatoes. Wife said shrimp po boy sandwich was good and the bread was the correct French bread to use. Waitress was nice but not knowledgeable.

Neat restaurant with a view of the Mississippi and the old Depot. We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday. There were a few parties there but was mostly quiet. Cool old building and architecture. Clean table settings, good sweet tea, basic meal/plate display. I had the muffuletta with potato salad. Both were great with the potato salad out shinning any I've ever had before! My husband had the roast beef sandwich which he enjoyed as well. The waitress was very friendly, service was quick, tea was refilled often. Good prices.

This is a review of the Sunday buffet. On Sundays in Vicksburg there are very few restaurants actually open. In fact, this seemed to be the only non-chain place serving lunch before my drive back home. I did notice some sort of BBQ house party going on around the corner, but they didn't seem too keen on me party crashing. The best things about this restaurant are the parking situation and the view. The view is easy to explain since the area where I dined had a commanding view of the river. I have often found myself attracted to the water, and I could have stared at this view all day. The parking situation is a little more difficult to explain, and I may be the only person on earth who appreciated it. Vicksburg is very hilly, and the downtown area is located on a high spot along the river. The closer you get to the river, the more the roadway slopes downward. To park, I had to pull my truck at a pretty steep angle and actually set the parking break. That gave this living below sea level lunatic quite the thrill. To make matters even more fun, walking to the restaurant required me to lean forward and then lean back while returning to my vehicle. I felt like a modern day Sir Edmund Hillary except that I wasn't conquering Mt. Everest and my risk of death was very low. Enough about the parking and on to the food. Upon entering, the bartender advised that Sundays were buffet only. I am not a fan of buffets, but as this was the only game in town, I grabbed a plate. The buffet consisted of fried chicken, roast beef, fish, macaroni, mashed potatoes and other items I can't remember. I thought it was good for a buffet, but those items would not have been my choice if I had one. I wish there would have been some method of ordering a la carte, but there was not. If you're looking for a cool view, or are impressed by parking on inclines, this may be the spot for you.

Gross! Not good at all. Don't waste your time or money. Over prices and warm beer. Just gross!

My wife and I had dinner here Easter Saturday night. It was pleasant on the porch with a beautiful view of the sun setting on the Mississippi. My broiled shrimp in butter were delicious and I had a side of crawfish Julie sauce that was very good. Unfortunately my wife's fried oysters were overdone and mostly in edible. I gave it a 10. My wife gave gave it a zero

I stumbled upon this place looking for a quick snack around midafternoon. I should have just stayed hungry. The bar is in a cool setting the man working there was friendly and liked by everyone that came in. Unfortunately the club sandwich I had did not encourage me to become a member. The fries did appear to be from real potatoes, so will give a star for that, the owner? dude and the location.

Neat restaurant by the river when the boats dock and right in the Washington street boutique area. Very pleasant staff and friendly. Food was good, beer was cold, prices moderate. There is a a seating area that faces the river for added ambiance. The pre civil war building completes a pleasant experience. Looks to be the best all around resturant on Washington st.

Nice view if seated on the porch. We had lunch here on a Saturday in April. The muffaletta sandwich with homemade chips was good and filling but nothing outstanding. The chips were tasty. Our waitress had no clue about wines or beers available and apparently no list exists - that was a bummer. We like to try local favorites when traveling, but she couldnt help us out at all.

I dropped by for lunch, when it was essentially empty. I had a chance to meet the owners and talk to them. If you've been through Vicksburg, you know it's not fairing well in this economy. That said, the owners were very friendly, and good people. Lunch was the recommended hamburger and a pecan southern beer. Both were delicious. This is worth a stop, and feel good that you're supporting a good local small business!

The staff was super friendly, the hot wings, and onion rings were off the hook good, the burgers were big and thick and good taste, they could add a little up,like grilled onions and stuff and make it awesome. Cool setup to watch game, just a little smoky

After four days in Vicksburg, I had a night off and decided I needed a decent food fix. The guidebook recommended a Lebanese place called Mansour's so off we went. WOW! Not my best decision, there was nothing remotely Lebanese on the menu, nothing more in fact than any other place we'd seen in town-southern cooking that makes your heart stop. (and not in the good way) I wish I had better details other than to tell you that to avoid some strange dish that looked remotely like the escalloped potatoes from elementary school but I am now suffering from PTSD and have blocked it all out of my memory. (Of course it might have been the copious amounts of booze that flowed and not some psychological disorder that has caused me to push this place to the dark recesses of my brain.) On a positive note, we met a great group of folks at the bar!

My blue plate special --- a beef dish with two side vegetables --- was so salty it was inedible. If you seek decent Southern food and you are somewhat discerning, avoid this restaurant.

Went with the family for lunch on a Saturday. Quaint little place. The service was excellent, and the food was very good. We each had something different. I had the gumbo, my wife had the crawfish salad, one daughter had the shrimp alfredo, one had the crawfish pasta, and our youngest nibbled off everyone's plates. No complaints! The waitress even gave us some tips on things to do around town. We'll certainly be going back.

First time here with several friends to have drinks and something to eat before the 4th July firework show. The quality of the food reminded me the cafeteria stuff I had back in high school, totally not worth the price. Come here for a drink maybe but not for the food will be my recommendation.

My husband and I stopped through for a pre-dinner beer. The owner, Eddie regaled us with entertaining stories of days past and of the community. The taps included three local beers, nice touch in a town where we struggled to find anything beyond Budweiser and Coors. You can tell that the owners take pride in not only their establishment but their town.
