How good can an outlet mall pizza joint be? As it turns out, excellent! The crust was perfect, not to thick and not too thin, and the toppings were delicious. Fast, friendly service and a heck of a value. We had a large pepperoni & extra cheese, iced tea and coke, and the bill came to $15.45. A heck of a deal! We were just passing through town, but if we lived here, this would be my go to pizza place.

The pizza looked great but I didn't order it as I was by myself. Did order the chicken salad which was so so. Obviously not fresh made but prepared earlier and left to sit until ordered. The dressing was store bought. Again, this place us in Vicksburg so take it for what it's worth. The three stars came from what looked like great pizza which I'll try next time in town.

I eat here every week that I am not traveling for business, I have to give it at least 4 stars. It's a reliable place. The food is good and the service is above average for the area. if you aren't from Vicksburg, the menu is pasta, pizza, salads, and sandwiches. They have one type of spaghetti and one type of marinara sauce. For lunch they have smaller portions of the dinner menu that are still plenty of food. The side salad is generally okay with the lunch specials, though sometimes the lettuce has a few bad bits that I pick out. I usually get the pizza, lasagna, or shrimp po-boy. I love the pizza, it is a thicker than a New York-style. They put lots of cheese and ample toppings. The only problem is it isn't as good when warmed up in the microwave, so I only get a pizza when I'm with someone to share. They have beer in bottles, no wine. They have kids menus and you could always order a pizza for several kids. They do have desserts, and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is visible from the dining room.

My husband and I went to Billy's hoping for a new Italian experience as we were moving to the area. We know we haven't had amazing Italian food, but we have decent before. First impression was it was extremely dated and dusty looking. It was very hard to find as it is in a corner store of a strip mall. We went for lunch and there was almost no room, which made us hopeful that looks aren't everything. We received bread sticks while waiting, just plain bread that was cool with sides of tub butter to spread on it. My drink order was not properly filled, and we were not given refills. I understand that they were busy, but the whole room is view-able from the counter, and our waitress walked past us frequently. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. What I received was a bowl of mushy over-cooked noodles, with 1 chicken tender from a frozen bag of Tyson strips and Ragu sauce. The portion size was about 2 small hands worth. I literally felt like I was back in college again making this from my microwave. Nothing was homemade, nothing was fresh, and nothing was amazing as far as flavor or portion size. I was still hungry when I left. I have heard that the pizza is ok, but I am scared to return again and be disappointed.

Bill's is located in the corner of the Vicksburg Outlet Mall, but it is full of locals... I started my meal with an appetizer, garlic bread that should be called cheesy bread. It is covered in good-quality mozzarella cheese; the taste of garlic is indistinguishable along with any other seasoning. For my entrée, I had the spaghetti & meatballs. I can eat and enjoy spaghetti and meatballs from just about anywhere. I also know what great Italian meatballs taste like. I asked if these were made in house and they said yes. I don't argue with that; they didn't taste pre-made, I just wish they would have been pre made because then I would have been able to eat them. They were terrible! They were FILLED with onions and seemed to nothing else (except low quality ground meat). They were so DENSE, they were hard to cut, and they stunk! I didn't eat more than a couple of bites. The red sauce was good at first but got old fast. The spaghetti was really thick and a little under cooked. I think the reason it is rated so highly is because it is the only Italian in the city and the locals don't know any better. I'm an Italian from New Orleans. I have high standards.

Driving through on a road trip to Atlanta. Ordered multiple dishes and a pizza. Upon arrival at restaurant, I was greeted by the owner and his wife. They were gracious and very warm even to an outsider from Texas. If you want good homemade Italian food at a good price. This is the place in Vicksburg. The pizza and chicken Alfredo are great.

EXCELLENT WAITRESSES and the food is really good. The godfather pizza is the bomb. NO OLIVES...... Great atmosphere!

If you want Italian in Vicksburg, this is basically your only choice. The food is good, especially the pizzas and manicotti. I think they could probably survive in a stand alone location.

Good pizza, reasonably priced. A hidden gem. The pasta was overpriced some what. Upside it's right next to a blue bell ice cream store. I would eat there again.

This review is long overdue. We were traveling through Vicksburg in early January. I think our GPS "recommended" this place! Technology! The special of 2 draft beers and 1 large pizza was very welcome after a long day of driving. The waitress had a smart suggestion for how we could customize just a small portion of the pizza for our child. Since we were traveling, we really couldn't do much with the leftovers, so sharing the entire pizza was an economical idea. This is in an outlet mall (outdoor strip center). Neat place! Great for travelers!

Very good and, for those of you passing through Vicksburg, it is very quick. It has a fairly substantial menu for a restaurant at an outlet mall. The veggie pizza is loaded with black and green olives. If you're an olive lover, it is heaven. If not, you'll need to ask them for fewer. The pizza was so loaded with vegetables--mostly olives--it was almost impossible to lift a slice. The lasagna is homemade and you get a healthy portion. The fried pickle slices were piping hot and tasty. They have the usual selection of boring beers, but also have Sam Adams and Sam Adams Seasonal. I didn't ask about wine. Very good experience. And it is next door to a chocolate shop, which is where we got dessert. Yes, we all over ate.

I had never been to Vicksburg before but when we came in from our long drive we wanted to get something quick and not too expensive. We saw advertisement for it at the hotel we were staying in and went ahead and made a trip to Billy's. We ordered the pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The cheese is melted to perfection and all of the ingredients were fresh. The waiters and waitresses all help each other out so there is not just one person helping you but they are all equally as friendly and make you feel comfortable.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express around the corner from here and gave it a try since it had good Yelp reviews. We had pizza, which was good, though it had a bit more basil than we are fans of. We also were able to get wine and beer. It's located in the corner of the small outlet mall. There were a lot of locals here, which is always a good sign! If we're ever in Vicksburg again, we would be back!

3.5 Stars A nice little family owned place to grab a pizza, sandwich, or some pasta. I had the mozzarella sticks and the "Big Moe".... which is pretty much a toasted italian hoagie with a hot pepper relish. Both were decent. I'd love to grant a fourth star to a family owned joint.... but it's a decent place to grab a bite and not much more. Which isn't a bad thing. Still, a hundred times better than heading to a fast food chain. Recommend.

Billy's is a fine family place with truly great Italian food. You won't believe the quality of the pizza. The service is friendly and competent. Prices are good. Even has Shiner Bock beer.

This is a nice family style (nothing fancy) pizza and italian food restaurant. The food was delicious with a different sauce for each pasta dish we tried. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. On the down side they only serve beer and the choices were disappointing, i.e. no microbrews. You may bring your own wine but we didn't find that out until we got there.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
