Best Mexican in Starkville. One complaint is they like to put red sauce on everything. Queso is delicious and Thursday are 2 for 1 Jumbo Margaritas. These guys can make a drink! I'm a picky rice eater, being formerly from TX, and these guys do it right. Service isn't always great. Girls are good, guys are... guys.

It took them 1 1/2 hours to have my appetizer brought to me and the waiter also forgot to put in two other people's meals. It wasn't even that busy. Also the restroom looked as if it hadn't been cleaned it 3 days.

The prices were pretty high for Mexican food. It's good but not really worth for what you'll pay for it!

I debated between going to Casa Bravo or Mi hacienda. Apparently I made an awful choice. First, the service was awful. We constantly waited on refills, requests for sauces, everything. The waiter was more concerned about his seven top, constantly passing us without any notice when we were always needing something. We would ask for one thing, and he would take off as if he didn't have two hands and we were forced to wait ten more minutes for something else. My "street taco" was a pathetic portion of a taco, stuffed with onion and cilantro, nasty, and didn't have the salsa I requested. So, the waiting for that began too. After I finally got the attention of the waiter, he brought back this tiny thimble of salsa and says they didn't make much today but I won't need much. Thank you for telling me my spice tolerance. 2.50$ for the street taco that was a quarter the size of a Taco Bell taco. This place is sad. Never got a refill the entire time even though Mexican food is generally very salty. Thankfully my girlfriend had some water left. I will NEVER return and I would recommend Taco Bell over this place to anyone. Zero stars isn't available so here's the one undeserved star.

Stopped in here back in June 2012 while in Starkville to watch the boy at Cheer/Mascot camp...Was not overly impressed and should have went with my other thought... Did the Steak Fundido and was less than enthusiastic about it....pretty much was less than enthusiastic about the whole experience...with more specificity the experience was like the food, BLAND!!! I do recall they had a chica strumming a guitar and singing and by the time the meal was done I wanted to get my check and get the hell out because I was having unChristian thoughts of bashing her guitar against...well let's just leave it at that.... Next time I'm in Starkville and wanting Mexican this ain't the place I will be hitting....

Decent ground beef burrito and enchilada. Nothing mind blowing, and a bit salty. *** Very poor representation of chile relleno. It was cooked down to the point that it was the consistency of Ro-Tel. Cheese goo mixed with some pepper chunks, and possibly meat. I'm not too sure. *

It is a solid 4. I was there for lunch so I did not drink but the table beside me got margaritas and they looked great. Have great combo platters. Great prices.

I usually think that all Mexican food tastes the same, but this restaurant is not a typical Mexican place. It's what a Mexican restaurant SHOULD BE!!! I absolutely live this place! Great service, strong margaritas, and amazingly delicious food!!!

Standard Mexican fare with good draft beer and great service! As a bonus, really nice TV and bar makes this a great place to watch a game.

So we all know Starkville,MS is not San Diego but Casa Bravo has some great Mexican food! Delicious chips and salsa and did I forget to mention the margaritas! I ordered the steak fajitas and the chicken with rice and cheese and have been satisfied with both! If your in the area stop by. Also there is a coupon in campus specials book!

Now named Casa Bravo, this restaurant holds a special place in my heart, as it was one of the few restaurants that was in business during my entire 12-year tenure in Starkvegas. They have a gigantic burrito, the California Burrito, that is great either with chicken or no meat at all. Also, they have the best Chile Colorado in the town. The salsa could be a bit less "canny", but other than that, this place is very good.

Food is awesome and not very expensive. Two can eat here for around $20. My personal recommendaton is the shredded chicken taco salad. Its about $7 and nice portion. Only reason it does not get a 5 star is service can be iffy sometimes.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
