High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. I usually don't write reviews for fast food joints unless it is a bad experience. This was one of those times. It was packed because of its location off of the interstate. I understand being busy, but you can't have ONE person working the cash registers and taking bathroom breaks. I don't fault her for having to use the restroom, we are human. There needs to be someone on the register when the place is that slammed though. My other issues are as follows: 1. The wait time was stupid. People three ahead would get their food and then people four behind you. It was insanity. I was inside for half an hour hoping to get two burgers for my wife and myself. 2. As far as I could tell, the Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Diet Coke, and Sweet Tea were all out. Not at one station, in the whole dang place. That's dumb. It was noon, have your stuff ready. 3. The food was not up to par with whataburgers normal yummyness. I mean, it is fast food, but you come to expect a certain grade and this wasn't even close. I put this on the owner(s) and manager(s). This is obviously a cash cow in a good location, take care of it.

Decided to mark this fast food chain off the list on the drive back home from NOLA. Meh is about right. Nothing special about this burger joint. Nothing outstanding about the taste or quality either. Typical fast food. It was edible and satisfied my hunger. That's about it.

WhatAMess. Bathroom urinal overflowing on floor. Ketchup packet smeared on floor. Soft drink self serve area covered in sticky puddles of soda (at least that washed off the urine). Ice machine slowing spitting out a cube every 39 seconds. Very long wait for the food. Do not stop here.

I ordered a traditional/ classic burger with cheese and guacamole and a side of onion rings. I have no complaints. She asked if i wanted spicy ketchup(my first) Of course!! That addition really added a kick. I'd return if I'm in the mood for a quicky.

It was a warm May day, the sun was out and not a cloud in the sky. I sat in the passenger seat of a Nissan Rogue heading southbound towards the city that care forgot, New Orleans. Needless to say, my earnestness for hand grenades and regrettable decisions was beginning to outweigh my patience leading me to grow restlessly irritable, even amongst some of my closest friends. Then, as an oasis in the desert, the traditional rendezvous point of old, Whataburger, appeared over the horizon. Now, for the sake of context I must tell you, my curious traveller, that I am from Memphis, one of the most unhappy cities in America ( images.businessweek.com/… .) How could the beloved city of my youth be so miserable, you must be surely asking yourself. In a phrase: no Whataburger. Thus, you can imagine my excitement as I walked into my own little orange and white paradise. As I entered, I noticed a small crowd of my fraternity brothers and their dates had gathered within, overcome with burger lust, anxiously awaiting to sink their teeth into the fantasy incarnate that is a Whataburger burger. After greeting my friends, I quickly heard tale of our beloved Whataburger's lack of quality service and poor memory of respective orders. I almost shed a tear at such news. When it came time for my car's passengers to receive our orders, the dark words of my friends proved true. Not only was there something wrong with every order but the lack of sympathy from the Whataburgerites broke my heart into a heap of countless shards. Sorrow. Melacholy. Anguish. Dejection. These words partially describe my immediate rush of emotions as I looked into the cold, soulless eyes of the server. At this point I could almost hear Mozart's "Lacrimosa" playing somewhere in the abyss that such a beloved establishment had become. I guess I learned it's only those who hold your heart who have the capacity to break it. Whataburger. More like "What Burger?"

First time to visit a Whataburger and I was pleased. Hamburger buns were more wholesome than the usual fare served-up by other fast food restaurants. The sauces offered on the menu were also very tasty. Very reasonable pricing as well. Overall satisfied and plan on returning to try another menu combo meal. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the fountain drink dispenser was being replenished and I had to wait a few extra mins to receive a drink from the kitchen area.

So I have been here a couple times. I enjoy whataburger a lot from my time in Texas, but this location has the worse sweet tea I have ever had. It's like someone brewed dirt and added a bit of sugar to it. The food is okay though. Busy location.

Actually very good service late night drive thru. Very surprising given the late night clientele. Good fast burger at a good price in the wee hours. I'm not easily impressed by fast food service late night, but this stood out. Kudos to their late night drive they team.

I had not enjoyed a Whataburger since leaving Texas so I decided to forgo a "healthy" dinner and dine here. Was not only the staff lazy, inept, the food was horribly wrong. There was a funny taste after I took my first bite. I separated everything and narrowed it down to the meat. Horrible smell and taste. I would have brought this to the attention of the manager, but the line was just too long. Do not eat here. God I hope Whataburger has not declined this low. I would jerk this franchise in a heartbeat.

Thirty minutes in the middle of an afternoon to fill an order of a single burger and rings. Someone before me said it took 45 minutes but I assumed she was exaggerating. She was not. No apologies. No warning. Inexcusable.

LIKE A BOSS!!!! Whataburger is so bad ass, they need their own state. I nominate Texas. Change the name the Whataburger-as. Make the state mascot the Patty Melt.

After discovering a Whataburger near our hotel, we were joyful, dare I say ecstatic. That joy quickly faded as the reality of having entered the WORST Whataburger in existence became apparent. Being Native Texans who now live in the land of no Whataburger- aka Missouri, we make every effort to eat the wonderfulness of the burger, fries, and onion rings of our youth. This visit was a true disappointment. The service was extremely slow. So, we we're thrilled when our food was finally brought to us. THEN our very uncomplicated burger orders were served to us incorrectly made and served with soggy buns. No Texas Toast when it should have come with a meal. The shake was forgotten, then made incorrectly (chocolate instead of vanilla, small instead of medium). After finishing the meal, my husband finally had his shake, as ordered.... Other customers, who were present, were also complaining with similar errors to their orders. Never once did anyone receive an apology for the mistakes, mishandling, over charges, slow service, poor attitude of the workers.... It was a huge disappointment....

As good as it gets when it comes to fast food. A texas based chain with the best fast food chicken strips out there. The burgers are big and juicy as well! I've never been a fan of the fries but I'm not a fan of fries that don't have cheese and other assorted toppings on them. Also love their spicy ketchup!

It's fast food served slow! Food was just over the line to okay. The shake was good and huge! The food took over 20 mins to come out and the place was not even 1/2 full. The staff behind the counter did not want to be their either. Should have found somewhere else to try while passing through. Just a big downer.

So today I got my first experience of the much heralded Whataburger. I was giddy to try this revered burger place that my friends from Texas hold to a very high standard. Anyways I'll get straight to it. I was disappointed to say the least. Now I don't know if this Whataburger is not held to the same standards as those in Texas (Mississippi didn't integrate their state university til 1964 so I don't have a lot of confidence with anything to do with this state), but the food was average to say the least. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños on it. My burger was not piping hot as I have come to expect from a quality burger. There were way too many onions on it as well. The fries were ok but nothing spectacular, the guys over at Ron L Mcdonalds would scoff at their "unfresshness" however. The thing that is buoying this review was the service. The lady who served us our food was quite possibly one of the nicest people I've ever met and she genuinely seemed to want us to enjoy our experience and care. In summary, my first experience at Whataburger can not hold a candle to the magic that seems to occur day in a day out over at Gulliver P Culvers establishment, which I consider to be the standard of fast food burgers (outside of the very elusive In-N-Out Burger). I may have to give this place another shot next time I'm in Texas, but lets just say I will not be on pins and needles to get my next taste of it. Mississippi whataburgers need to get their ducks in a row or else they can expect some more unsatisfactory reviews.

Burgers are dry and flavorless. Very heavy handed with the onions and mustard. The fries were hard as rocks.
