Just simply the most awesome-est coffee for on the road. Convenient drive thru service (as are all the Seattle Drip's in the area) and always friendly staff that know how to make their mocha's and iced coffee!

There are several reviews under the old name (same address) and they are accurate. This place is great. Tops. Yum. I just ate there and I can't wait to go back. It has been a while since the last time (before this time that is) I was here and they were good back then, but now they have a full selection of bakery items. Come hungry and get a torta! Take some baked goods home for a treat later.

I had dinner at Shapley's and was impressed as always. I ordered the 8 oz filet with lump crabmeat topping. The steak was cooked to perfection and the crab meat was sweet and delicious. Others in my group ordered ribeyes, filets and one had a fish dish. Everyone raved about their meals. The sides of potatoes, cheese bread, fries and tamales were amazing as well. We topped everything off with a couple of bottles of wonderful Cabernet for a great dining experience. I'm never disappointed here. I think Shapley's is one of the top 5-6 restaurants in Mississippi!
Shapley's is a local favorite and a landmark. It is considered to be among the top steakhouses in Jackson. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The food is good. The chef knows how to cook a steak to the true temperature (something that does not happen too often). If you are looking for a cozy atmosphere, a great bar and wine selection, and a good steak then you might want to give Shapley's a try. They are conveniently located in Ridgeland.
A very good steakhouse. Started with the crawfish bisque, outstanding. Love their ribeye. Got scallops tonight with my ribeye, very good. Their au grautin potatoes are good as is their asparagus. Place is pricey. My 2nd time going and wasn't disappointed. If I'm in Jackson again, will be making another reservation.

Best Chinese food in the Jackson area. The wontons are the best I've ever had. The rice and sesame seed chicken is the best!
This is my Friday night Chinese place. If you get the dinner, it is enough food for two meals. Always, Hot, Fresh and Delicious. Call your order in before you leave and it will be waiting on you when you arrive. This safe is very friendly.
Cheap, filling Chinese food. It's nothing special, but the portions are easily enough to split, making this place a super economical dinner for two. We easily eat for under 15. Check out the dumplings - they're awesome steamed!

Best gyro I've ever had! I've never had lamb this tender. I went with a group for a mid-week lunch and everyone was very happy with their meals. I had a small greek salad and an original gyro. The table also shared hummus/pita, fries, and baklava (we were hungry!). Everything was amazing, except the hummus was a bit dry. Service was friendly and although it was busy the food came out quick. They have a nice menu with salads, burgers, appetizers, and a large selection of gyros from traditional lamb to chicken, pork, etc. Toppings, pita bread, meat was all very fresh, very flavorful. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating indoors and a small, shaded patio outside. This has to be the best Greek food I've ever had, and I travel a lot! I can't wait to get back for another lunch... maybe tomorrow.
This is not the most authentic Greek restaurant, but for Mississippi I believe it's the closest I've tasted. The lamb is always fresh, food is cooked to order and they are super friendly. I have had the burger, it's not out of this world but it is good. I usually have the lamb gyro without lettuce and tomatoes. It comes packed with lamb and the Tzatziki is above average, however I think it would help to put it on the side for to-go orders. The warm lamb made the sauce warm and it lost some of its freshness. For the serving size I think the prices are spot on. Their fries are homemade from fresh cut potatoes, I love that! Overall, I definitely recommend this place for a quick friendly taste of Greece in the Ridgeland, MS area they fit the bill. .
Krilakis is one of the better gyros I've had. The one downfall, and this is strictly personal, is that there is SO MUCH FOOD in such a tiny foil package that it's hard to handle the gyro gracefully. Every bite will leave your face covered in tzatziki sauce. Their pita melt is also a good choice for an appetizer. It's loaded with ooey gooey feta and mozzarella cheese. Really, everything I have had is good. The staff is always friendly and the food always comes quickly. They have a nice outdoor seating section that is shaded (which is a huge deal in this Mississippi heat!) and plenty of space inside as well. If you find yourself this particular area of Ridgeland, definitely give Krilakis a shot.

Small place, very friendly, and great for take out. We had the fried calamari, hot and sour soup, which I could have just had that because it was Delicious. I also got the seafood feast with lobster meat, scallops, shrimp, and squid with vegetables in chefs special sauce. It was good, sauce was a little watery for me but the flavor was good. Can't wait to go back and try something else. There were so many things to choose from on the menu. My little boy had the chicken teryriaki and it was so much food for 6.95 he couldn't finish, which is unusual! Overall great experience
Surprised there aren't more reviews. Food is great. I got the hot pepper chicken. Friendly staff
Really great food. Was passing through in business and yelped a close Asian restaurant. Read a few reviews and chose this over the local PF Changs; I'm so glad I did. Being a Sunday night, it was pretty quiet but service was top notch. Very attentive manager and server who checked in often. Enjoyed everything I had and the dinner entree came with a salad and soup for a great price. May have to come back here before I leave to buy a bottle of the house ginger dragon sauce.

Beagle Bagel Cafe

The perfect morning study cafe on the weekend. Bagels are of course perfectly done with so much to choose from. Also available are the palinis for breakfast since I don't get the chance to try out their lunch because of work. Opens early on the weekend, 8am on Sunday. The coffee selection is great with 4-5 flavors. You are welcome to grab a second cup and sometimes I can't help myself trying out a second flavor. Very comfortable booth seats on the side of the cafe. Plenty of seats all around. With Sunday as my reading day I find my self so productive here for hours and feeling accomplished after I leave.
In my opinion, the only place in Mississippi to get a decent bagel. Since my move to Florida nearly 18 years ago, I know they've now opened a couple of other locations in the jackson area. How wonderful! But, this is the original. Mississippi isn't a place known for their bagels. Heck, they don't even have bagels on the menu at McDonald's in this state. Not that I'm surprised. They make their bagels fresh here daily and you can certainly tell. They have a wide array of flavours. The ones I have tried have been outstanding. Whenever I'm visiting family in Mississippi and craving a bagel, this is where I come. Yep, I make the hike all the way to Ridgeland from Pearl to the original restaurant.
Beagle bagel cafe is a cute small bagel bar, but I think I came with too high of expectations given some of these other reviews. Service was subpar and almost made me feel like I was a burden. But seriously, repeating my order 3 times? Followed with exasperated sighs and a frown? And their machine for cafe au lait is broken? :( The only redeeming factor was that the bagel tasted okay.

This is a neighborhood gem par excellence. If it wasn't for Yelp, I might have missed out on this slightly-eclectic but very memorable experience smack in the middle of an unassuming strip mall on Old Canton Road. I kinda figured there was something unusual going on when we pulled up to a full parking lot. The experience turned up a notch the second you open the blacked out doors and are greeted to a local cover band doing everything from Johnny Lee Hooker to the Animals and even Rick James. Yeah, there's live music nightly as the menu says. We arrived so late that we were able seat ourselves but we were quickly served by a bright eyed waitstaff who, though not very thorough with the drink list, we're more than helpful with the food... and speaking of which... I'd wager that just about everything on the menu is some form of good. I even ate the house salad with its iceberg lettuce. The halibut with crab was perfectly cooked with large lump crab meat atop...pleasantly surprised in the "house of the rising sun." The portion size is actually very generous. I added broccoli in hollandaise as my side. I also tried the seafood pasta with Gulf shrimp, scallops, and crab meet with a cajun sauce. Also great. Even the dinner rolls served as an accompaniment were surprisingly good. The signature cocktail is the French passion cosmo and is light bodied and sweet addition to any meal I actually preferred the gin gimlet... but there were at least 4 other in-house cocktails worth trying... Plus a decently selected wine list. I'm not always fond of coming back home... but let me tell ya, Kathryn's lessened the blow. In fact, the next time I'm around I'm going to drop by again.
The chicken nachos are wonderful. What makes they so fabulous you ask. I am sure it is their secret recipe. But the chips are so thin and crispy and the toppings are plentiful.
Prime Rib with twice baked potato was fantastic. Also had the fried mushrooms with comeback sauce for an appetizer. They were amazing as well. If you are in the mood for seafood, the Redfish Veronica is a hit and others were raving about the Redfish Fillet. All in all, a great meal at price that is competitive with other locally owned steakhouses in this area. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
