I ordered again and was not disappointed. It was incredibly mediocre and a lot better in taste and texture than last time.

Two of my friends and I went here last week and received the worst service I have ever seen at a restaurant. When we were seated the waitress walked away with the menus still in her hand. We weren't actually given menus for at least 15 minutes. I ordered a beer and wasn't given it until 45 minutes later, i had to ask two different servers for it. Once our food finally came out (after being there for almost two hours) one of our orders was wrong. Since we had already been there for so long we ended up just canceling the order. The three of us ended up sharing the chicken fajitas that were originally intended to just be shared among two of us. We all ended up leaving still hungry and incredibly irritated. They also never refilled any of our drinks.

Okay ordered it once and the food was god awful, but the second time it wasn't too bad, but mediocre. Chorizo still looked like dog food, salsa still canned tomatoes with black pepper, ordered queso but it didn't come.

The food was alright, but the service was awful. I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla, but my waiter brought out a chimichanga. He tried to convince me to eat it since it had the same ingredients in it, but I refused and had him redo my order correctly. As someone who has worked in the food industry as a waitress, I was absolutely shocked that the waiter had the gall to try to persuade me to accept his mistake. I'm not going to eat here again.

Chips and salsa were really good but the meat in our tacos and things were really weird. It wasn't good at all, the meat I mean. Cool location and they probably have some good things but not what I had. Probably won't return unless I'm feeling some karaoke.

We ordered fajitas and a burrito for lunch. Ingredients were not fresh and tasted lousy. Chips were stale. Service was slow, and we waited ten minutes to pay our bill.

Not bad. Very popular Mexican restaurant -- known for karaoke night as well! Service was decent. Our server was polite, but not very friendly. Decor is.... Worn? Colorful paper lanterns, inflatable beers, and patron banners are strewn throughout the place for a "fun" vibe.. But if you want to come here, it'll be for the food and margaritas - not the ambiance!

The food was very reasonably priced. Full bar available. However, the waitress acted as if it was an imposition to bring our drinks or take our order. The food was bland and the queso was runny. Chicken dishes were not very good at all. Chicken enchilada came with ranchero sauce rather than cream sauce. Refried beans appeared to be blended Ranch Style Beans with Melted cheese. The chips were decent as was the salsa. Definitely not a place I will ever go again.

Wanted something special, was very surprised to find it in Oxford, MS. This was one of the most authentic and best mexican meals I have eaten in a long time. I had #36 which was pork in a green sauce with their special 2x1 lime margaritas. Two hours and a very happy tummy later I left to head back to my hotel. Don't miss this one if you are in town. Skip the chains and head here for a great meal.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Oxford. We lived in CA and had great places plus ate in NM and AZ places. Also went to Mexico. Love their # 1 lunch special with verde sauce and their carnitas. Also like the chicken verde enchiladas.

While I'm personally not a fan of Karaoke night (extremely loud, drunk ole miss undergrads), I appreciate what else the place offers: friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices.

I lived in Texas for 14 years and desperately miss quality Tex Mex food. You could say I'm a Tex Mex snob, if such a thing exists. That said, this is the best place in town to get Tex Mex, and the only place my Texas native husband and I will go to eat it. There is a purely Mexican place in town that's great, hole in the wall by Sugar Magnolia, I forget the name, but this is the best Tex Mex in town.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
