Passing through and wanted some southern cooking, this place perfectly fit the bill. The catfish was fantastic, fried chicken great, yummy blacked eyed peas and Lima beans, fried okra, I could go on and on. Stick to your ribs good!

On a business trip. Tired of fast food. We stopped here and boy was it worth it! Buffet style home coking. I had fresh black eyed peas, turnip greens, Mac n cheese, fried chicken livers and leg, fried green tomatoes and a cornbread muffin. Pecan cobbler for dessert!

Under-impressed with this Southern styled buffet. The hush puppies were definitely unseasoned -- it felt like I was eating styro-foam. Also, the buffet (at least on the Tuesday I visited) did not have mac 'n cheese. For me, this is a southern staple, so I was disappointed that it wasn't included. I do have to give props for the amazing service -- our sweet server was kind and helpful and informed us that each buffet order gets one free trip to the dessert bar. While it was about 2 PM when we were there, the choices were limited, but I'm told still delicious. I personally did not try them but don't think you can go wrong with a southern pie or red velvet cake. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be trying this place again...

Eat here several times a month, its always after church on Sundays. Exactly like Mama's home cooking buffet style, very clean and the staff is polite and friendly. Didn't take long to become a regular here where they know what you want to drink before you sit down.

So it's more like southern home cooking rather than southern paula dean heavy calorie cooking, if that makes sense. My boyfriend LOVED this place. He especially loved the sweet potatoes, which were delicious. He liked the chicken and greens too, he had probably two or three helpings. I liked the place. I liked the fried green tomatoes, the fried chicken was good, and the salad had good ranch dressing. I would almost go back just for the thinly sliced fried green tomatoes. The food is good, and homemade, and since it's a buffet it's filling, so it is great to get full for $10! I'm giving it three stars instead of four though because I expected a little more paula dean "southern" - a little more buttery and creamy macaroni and cheese, and a more buttery and warm cobbler. I guess you give up the fattier ingredients for the cheaper price. (also, I think you can tell I like butter and heavy cream in my southern cooking). They serve dessert, but it sits on the bar and is cold. We had a cold peach cobbler, and honestly, I'm from the north, but I have always heated up my peach cobbler. The sweet potatoes are "southern" drenched in butter and brown sugar it seems. Which is probably why they were our favorite thing on the menu. We also both ate the corn bread and it was not really warm and we both said, "how does a southern place not have great cornbread?" We both expected honey and buttery cornbread I think. But maybe we should have tried the jalepeno bread. Sweet tea is also delicious. We want to go back one day to see how the breakfast buffet is. If you're hungry, this will fill you up for sure, and it's a great price. Our server was kind and so were the owners when they checked us out. Everyone was very nice.

Great comfort food! I was in Meridian on business and ate lunch here two days in a row. Yummy fried chicken livers, collard greens, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, black-eyed peas, pecan pie, etc., etc. I had the chocolate cream pie for dessert today and even though I don't normally like meringue, it was the best meringue I have ever had!
