This is a good location...The service is very good and the food is hot and fresh.... The restaurant is kept clean... The only major downside to this IHOP is it's located in a bad part of town....I decided against giving this one a four star rating because of this.... A man was beaten to death at night in the parking lot outside the restaurant....Although, we will still eat here when in the area, we will not do so at night anymore.

Terrible. Just terrible. The seats in the booth we were led to in the back of the restaurant were ripped open, completely. We should have left. Our elderly server gave us the evil eye for twenty minutes before coming over and staring at us, we asked her for some coffee. We seriously felt like we were inconveniencing her in some awful way the whole time we were there. The food was mediocre and cold. My three year old daughter even asked what was wrong with our server. Never ever ever again.

I read the bad reviews, hoped that they were from mean-spirited people who only got on Yelp to write bad reviews. Bad idea. The reviews are correct. We waited 20 minutes just for drinks. They were out of the pancakes I wanted, so I ordered chocolate chip. They were nothing more than mediocre brown pancakes with no taste of chocolate, I make much better at home. The service was terrible, and it was $30 wasted. Still waiting on more sugar and napkins.

Waited 30 minutes before I was spoken to after being seated. Waitress was preoccupied and unfriendly. Food was cold and unappealing. As I was finishing, a small roach crawled across my table. I will not visit this location again.

Waited 20 min and no one came to our table so we had to leave. None of the tables were cleaned up. We went there another time and it was the same, but it was late and we were hungry. The first time we got an appetizer and the lady brought it out at the same time as the other food, and then told us that we had to "specify" that we wanted the appetizer before the meal...I mean, really? I kid you not when I say this is the best IHOP I have yet to encounter! My husband and I are night owls, and during our time in Mississippi, we discovered very quickly that the town basically shuts down around 9-10pm every night. Not like Orlando at all. It was actually very eery! Anyhoo, it was IHOP to the rescue! Open 24/7 and with free WIFI to boot! Whoohoo! We felt like we had hit the lottery when we found this place. I can't speak for what one would call "normal" business hours because we were always here during the middle of the night, but during the middle of the night, things couldn't have been better! Service: Always steller! I'd bring my MacBook along, hubby would bring his iPad, and we'd camp out here for 2-3 hours at a time. The servers never minded and they kept my coffee cup filled at all times (nice, hot, fresh coffee). Food: Always right on point! I had different breakfast entrees and different sandwiches - depending on my mood - the old "breakfast or dinner" decision can be difficult at times. But, no matter what I ordered (or hubby, for that matter), the food was always hot, good, and quick to arrive. The restaurant was always clean, as were the restrooms. It's bright and open with no wearing carpets or booths - this is probably because it's "newish." Even on Friday and Saturday nights after "club hours," the place was never what I'd consider crazy busy. Then again, this isn't really a club/bar kinda town (at least not compared to large FL cities). I should probably give this IHOP 5 stars, but I held back because I have never been during the "normal hours," and well, it is a chain.

I haven't been to an IHOP in years and now I remember why. The food was marginal and the service lest much to be desired. My visit was at 1:30 PM after the lunch rush. Most tables were empty yet I had to request silver three times. By the time we received utensils our food was ice-cold. The pancakes were greasy and the crepes underdone. I venture to say it will be years before I eat here again. Would not recommend under any circumstance.

This will be my last visit to this location! We had a 15 to 20 minute wait even though tables were available, no one appears to be cleaning the table. Once we were seated, the hostess only gave us 4 menus and 5 utensils, even though we were a party of 6. While we were sitting at the table, some of the employees started arguing in the kitchen. Most of the staff including our waitress, who was in the process of taking our order, ran to the kitchen to see what was going on. The service is slow and the food took forever even though it was not peak hours. Once the food started to come out, the waitress provided us with pancakes, regardless whether we ordered them or not! I will add I felt the waitress tried to accommodate us as best she could by trying to get our food to us.

Waited 20 minutes to even see our server. The restaurant was not very busy. Had to beg for ketchup and the food was not good. Felt like we were inconveniencing the staff by walking in.

We have been to IHOP in several states, this one is a disgrace to the name. Each time we go there, not during rush times, the service is very slow. This time the salt and pepper shakers were sticky and our sodas came out after our meals. When I questioned the waiter about my order he told me point blank he didn't know the difference in appearance between strawberry and strawberry /rhubarb. How can that be? He also didn't care, I would have questioned it earlier but he didn't come by to see how we were doing. I do admit the food quality once we got it was good, not the right order but good.

Only gave it 1 star cause I had to. Where do I start it took about 20 minutes to get our refills about 45 minutes to get our food we heard the cooks rap music louder then the regular music playing then it took about 30 more minutes to get our 2nd round of pancakes(all you can eat) the server was nice but she was terrible oh did I mention we were the only people in there.

Just left IHOP and heard someone screaming. The waitress was waving my phone at me! Thanks!

Absolute worse IHOP I ever been too! If it wasn't for the fact that we were hungry(2) of us, we would of left. Almost an hour wait for our food. Can't blame the waitress, have to put this one on the cook staff. Definitely can use someone to supervise in there. Food wasn't all that, especially the toast, which was hard as a rock.

Astonishing how a place can get such positive and also negative reviews-- unless they alternate between experienced and first-night staff. Our night was the worst experience we have had at a restaurant in years-- and IHOP will no longer be considered by us. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get a soup for my wife and sandwich with onion rings for me. There were four waitresses on duty and only five tables had people sitting at them! When we complained, we were told they were trying to cook the onion rings! The soup was supposed to be chicken soup, but it was potato soup with some chicken broth. The club sandwich had no mayo and wouldn't hold together. We waited and waited for the check and finally had to get up and complain at the register. Finally the manager had to come out and apologize for everything. We told the Fairfield Inn where we were staying never to recommend the place to anyone!

We have started coming here from time to time because the kids love pancakes (and so do we!), but they also have a decent burger for those times one of us isn't in the mood for something too sweet. They have a great menu, plenty of room in the restaurant, and are quite clean (which is impressive when you consider the amount of syrup spilled every day on those tables). They are sweet to the kids, have crayons and kids stuff for them, and leave a thermos of coffee on your table if you order it. I really don't have any complaints!

This has to be the very best IHOP in the nation. We were traveling through Jackson at the end of our Florida vacation. Our hotel's free breakfast left a lot to be desired for us, and had nothing suitable for our toddler. We packed up and pulled out the iPad to find a local place or an IHOP nearby. There were several IHOPs in town. I picked this one only because the directions seemed easy and our toddler was getting fussy. By the time we reached IHOP, our toddler was inconsolable. She had struggled with a sickness throughout the entire vacation and she was not feeling well, being hungry didn't help. We walked into the IHOP and about 10 servers came over to try to cheer her up. I took her into the restroom and 5 servers stopped in to see if she was okay. Not-to-be forgotten: About half-way through our meal, the staff gathered to wish another guest a happy birthday. The singing was amazing and one staff played a trumpet. We were blown away. This has to be the best kept IHOP secret in the country. Our food, by the way, was delicious. I had a waffle, eggs, crispy bacon (which came out crispy and yummy). We ordered pancakes for our toddler, which she picked at - not because they weren't good but she just didn't feel well. We paid and about that time one of the servers brought an off-the-menu item to our little one - a yogurt push-up. Wow, was that a hit! Made her morning and mine, since we got something in her tummy before starting the long haul back to Dallas. Long story short - if you are in Jackson and looking for a tasty breakfast, go to the IHOP on Briarwood. The amazingly talented and friendly staff is a bonus and will make your morning. If you have to pretend it is your birthday to get the amazing serenade, it would be worth it! :)
