We ate here a few days ago. The food was fantastic! Our server was fast and the mango margarita was perfect! My one year old even danced with the staff. Great Tex-Mex!

I am giving them a three star only because I thought the food was about a ***** to ****** star was the best mexican food I have ever had!! We went there for lunch today, and lil guy brought us chips and salsa to our table salsa was good lil spicy for the wife which meant I loved it! Took the little waiter bout 5 minutes to come back and get drink order which is fine but then brought us drinks and disappeared when wife looked round she seen him breaking down tables place was not that busy maybe counting us 12 people he finally came back and asked what we wanted she got the taco salad which was a hot mess but she not to bad, I got three tacos fried, hard shell and soft taco again food was not bad but no silver ware was giving to us and waiter gone again so I went to another table and got us silver ware then had to go hunt down manager to get my wifes sour cream... my total was $19.52 I left $20 I wpuld have left $30 but sorry that waiter sucked ass!!!

I don't know why they call this place jalapeño grill other then the building use to house a hamburger place. I didn't see anything on the menu that was grilled. Bunch this place in with all of the other mexican food restaurants in town. Their guac and salsa are more too my liking here and they do actually listen to how u want your food prepared. A good thing.

Monday at lunchtime place was pretty empty which made us a tad nervous however the "A" food rating was reassuring. Chips and salsa very good. Waiter was Excellent as well as the food. Wife and I shared the Super Quesidilla which was to much for us and had a take home portion. Will definitely come back

Really slow service! My friend waited forever for tea refills and a queso dip. I had a pineapple margarita, and they put lemon and salt on the rim--definitely not flavors that complement each other! Also, the flauta and quesadilla we tried were not very flavorful. Very underwhelming, but at least the restaurant was clean.

Awesome Authentic Mexican Food and friendly staff. Salsa is on point but if you can't handle a little spice don't eat it. So far #17 and #27 are awesome. The tamales are real Tamales, I have eaten at a few Mexican around here and they're garbage. Fried Ice cream is a must if you have room.

While their servings are large the flavors are the same as all the other "Coast Mex" on the Coast. I am still searching for the "CA Style" taco shops but my hopes of finding one in MS seem to die a bit more everyday. The location is great in that it spreads the Los Tres style of mexican food east on the Coast, but if you have tasted better it does'nt do anything for you.

I got a stuffed avocado. The steak inside was cold and not so tasty. The service wasn't the greatest either. The margaritas were strong and decent flavor.

Had lunch here last week with co-workers and we were the only people in the place at 11:45am on a weekday. Not good. The food is very good, reasonably priced, and the portions are quite large. The waiters don't know the menu very well, though. There are so many Mexican places down here and most of them are exactly the same, so it's nice to have ones like this that offer something different.

So out to lunch we go me and this husband of mine, and he goes " Hey lets eat at that place on Pass Rd. called The Jalapeno Grill. One of my buddies said it was good. " Well of course he got the "look". You know the one that says I don't trust the taste buds of one of your Army Buddies. So it was a back and forth of "AWE come on baby" and the "I don't know about this". So OK I gave into his big brown eyes and that smile of his, and yes that is where the problem started (as usual). Well the first thing I noticed as we walked into the restaurant was what appeared to be employees and owners just sitting at a big table right in front of the door. Empty at lunch hour on a Wednesday. Oh boy. However a very nice young lady sat me and my husband at a table and she handed us the menu and she begins to explain the items and such which showed she was at least knowledgeable about the food, but there was really no need. Because as soon as you open the menu it is the same menu at every other Tex Mex restaurant on the coast. I can name 5 right of the top of my head with the same menu. Oh well roped into it now might as well see it through. The nice waitress brought us a basket of tortilla chips and salsa. Chips were stale and the salsa watery and tasteless, no nice chucks of anything just tomato water really. My husband answer to it ,hot sauce cures everything, so in it went and there was poor me fending him off so as not to put to much in mine. Like to be able to taste something after this is all over with, geez. So over this menu I look and I figure well might as well just pick something you had just about all of it before. So I pick the tacos ala carte fried pork. They put a little cilantro, onion salsa like stuff on it which was the only flavor it had. Of course that wonderful husband of mine got the beef and cheese enchilada lunch and the waitress really did stop him and ask what number it was on the menu. WOW really. Just like in every other Tex Mex place we've gone into before. Need the number not the item. So my wonderful husband begins to eat and I ask him how it taste and his answer is "It fills a hole". LOL good lord honey its okay to admit your wife was right. So he gets "The Look" again. He shrugs and adds kinda like eating air, no flavor. So they advertised a fresh new experience in Tex Mex Cuisine. Sorry no its not, its the same thing as all the others all the way down to the menu. It not bad but its not good or unique or anything just same ole same ole.......oh and Army buddies are good for back up in a fight but not so much so on...well he means well "Bless his heart" lol.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
