Ok so came here to have some catfish. And it was beyond excellent. The catfish is pulled fresh from a pond on property and to say it was fresh would be an understatement. Big shout out to Tash who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and who was an awesome server. The chicken was awesome as well. Must visit when in Gulfport.

Catfish Charlie is your typical southern catfish house. All of them are good. What stands out here is there friendly service and decor: Log cabin styled architecture with license plates and college colors all over the walls and ceilings. The dining area can handle close to 300 guests while their lobby features 400 gallon aquarium and a big barrel of peanuts. Draft beer is available while you wait..only up to 45 minutes on a very busy night. Catfish is of medium thickness so those that prefer thin and crispy may be disappointed. It is very good though. Other offerings are great chicken tenders, fried shrimp, fried pickles(some of the best around), turnip greens, and cole slaw. They have sweet tea too! All you can eat or straight order. They do not offer whole catfish.

Went there with my family of about 20 for my wife's birthday spent almost 400 dollars never got seconds on they're all you can eat catfish requested butter from the server after not receiving it. A man was standing at the front I asked him for some service refused was a complete jerk would never step foot in that place again what I asked to speak to a manager informed me that he was the owner the servers were busting their butt they were fine just overworked the so-called Owner was standing with his arms crossed not wanting to do anything when I told him he was a jerk one of the servers actually smiled I believe that's because somebody called him out

This place has been around for a long time. I can remember eating here when I was a child. If you like fried catfish, then this definitely the place to go. They have a way of keeping the fish crispy on the outside without drying it out. They also offer chicken and shrimp. Don't look for a huge selection but they are very good at what they serve. A good casual and family friendly place.

Catfish Charlies is a local favorite and I can understand why, the atomoshphere is what you'd expect out of a catfish house and the "all you can eat" is just what a good southern man wants when it comes to deep fried southern goodness. However, there's a lot of things about this place that needs some work. Starting at the front of the house, the "owner", I'm guessing she's the owner but whoever she is, she's rude! My goodness woman, if you hate working as a hostess retire! You make it hard for your staff to make up for your overall atrocious personality. On to the food. I've been there and the catfish has been excellent, I've been there and it's been horrible. Cut the "mud vein" out of your filet's to get rid of the dirt taste. Also, there's nothing worse than a soggy piece of fried fish. Like I said, when it's good, its really good but when it's off, it's horrible and has kept me from going back as often as I probably would if the food was more consistent. Now, for the price. Ok, so I'm good with the price for adults but they need to do something about their kids prices. I have three kids 7, 5 and 3 yr old. Combined they might eat two pieces of chicken each. The last time I was there I told the waitress that we wanted to just let our 3 yr old share a plate with my wife and the waitress said no, we asked for a manager and the old woman from the front came to out table and said no as well. I get it, you have a business to run but are you going to go bankrupt if my 3 yr old daughter eats a piece of chicken. Charge me for the drink but don't charge me for the meal.

Good food, didn't have any problems with the service / food that others have mentioned (including the "eat228" guy) Service was friendly, food / beer was reasonably priced and straightforward. Not quite a "meat and 3" place but pretty close - definitely worth the drive up from Biloxi.

This place has been around for YEARS and seemingly they haven't changed one bit! Pretty now frills. Your choice or catfish or chicken strips family style or a shrimp plate. They give you homemade biscuits with plum preserves/jelly/butter, hushpuppies and sweet potatoes or fries. It's relatively inexpensive $13.99 per person I believe as well. The fish is sooo tasty and it's not heavy or super oily as you'd probably expect. The sweet potato is swimming in butter and they give you sugar shakers with cinnamon sugar in it. The fries are more like puffy potato chips, which is pretty cool as well. The chicken strips are homemade chicken breast tenders that are just so darn tasty. This place is family owned and family run. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it weren't all cousins and nieces and nephews working here and you can really tell because they treat you like you're in their home. Seriously a gulf coast staple right here.

Slow, slow, slow when busy. If you're going to eat here, better do it at opening.

OK so today I was driving home and in the mood for some fish and chips. So where do I go to do a traditional English meal in the South? Catfish Charles!!! Now CC's is not a fine dining establishment. They have a limited menu centered around fried catfish and gulf shrimp I had the fried catfish (**** stars) with fries and slaw. It was good and for what they serve it was a great place to eat. Service was good but nothing stood out.

This place is a very consistent restaurant. It was great the first time I went there and it has been great every other time we go. Not much of a selection but what they serve is wonderful. Never had a bad meal here. Be prepared to wait no matter what time you go, but you can munch on a barrel of peanuts and get a cold brew while you wait.

Catfish Charles has a limited menu serving mostly fried catfish and gulf shrimp both of which are outstanding! Dinners are served with an excellent coleslaw and choice of side (french fries, baked sweet potato, etc). You must try the fried dill pickle slices, different but really very good! Large room, lots of families. Service casual but attentive. Very reasonable prices. Located about 2 miles from the shore, plently of parking.
