To be fair, I'm from California and I have tasted some really authentic, delicious Mexican food. I went to Guadalajara three times in one week for a few reasons: 1. They're open on Sundays. 2. Prices are great 3. The vibe is fun and the service is kind and friendly. The chips and salsa are endless and perfect while you're waiting for your food. I ordered the carne picada once, a flauta and beef chimichanga combo the other time, and the last time was strictly for margaritas which is reason in itself to come here. They're generous on the cheese (although it doesn't taste like much) in their entrees and portions in general. Full meal for under/around $10.

The waiter got our order wrong 3 times. When I requested to have a glass to drink out of instead of plastic he said, "Why? It's the same thing?" Lol #stupid I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it came out 3 times well done. It may have been the same steak. The alcohol in the drinks were not top shelf. Just bad service, food and drinks.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. They just built this building a few years ago. The food is as close to perfect as you can expect in Mexican dining. The service is fast as they bring the chips and sausa out right when you sit down. They keep your drinks full too as I never saw the bottom of my glass.

Food was two or three stars. The service was so bad, though, I thought maybe we were on a hidden-camera show. First, no one was at the door when we came in, or out on the floor. We hailed a waiter coming from the back, who said he was on his break but could take our order. Then he told us he had been sneezing tons in the back, making us slightly nervous about the hygiene situation. The food was slow coming, and drinks were not refilled. We couldn't find anyone when we needed our check--we had to ask a manager or something to find our waiter. Then our waiter seriously stood over our shoulders and hovered as we filled out the tip on the credit card receipt and signed it. Seriously, the worst, most bizarre service I have ever experienced.

I had heard around town that La Cabana is the superior Mexican restaurant in Cleveland (and it's pretty good), but I decided to try out Guadalajara, and I'm glad I did. The food is about the same quality-wise (your standard decent Americanized Mexican -- burritos, tacos, lots of cheese), but the service I got at Guadalajara was a lot friendlier and more pleasant. Also their decor is nice with tall ceilings and colorful flags everywhere. I think you can't go wrong at either restaurant, but Guadalajara gets the edge for pleasant servers.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
