The smell was the worst. It was like mold meets armpit. I waited for 20 min to get service and finally left. The kitchen looked tossed. Why hasn't the health department closed this dump?

Good food. Hasn't changed in years. Wish they had Pepsi instead of Coke. Got to go back again.

I wasn't even drunk, and I still fell to the siren song of the mighty white-y. It was late ... about midnight. I was driving from STL to KC for early morning meetings, and I needed something ... An assortment of five sliders, and sack of rings, and a chocolate shake and 20 miles later and, oh man. Let's just say my car's cabin started to fill with greenhouse gases, pretty fast-es. 2 stars, though. These belly-bombers seemed to wreak more havoc than before. Also, I do not recommend the shake. There was an odd aftertaste that made me feel like I was licking a cold metal pole ... fortunately, without the sticking. So, let's reset the clock for the next '7-year itch'. Cheers!

He he he, I finally tried White Castle! Ridiculous, I know, but this fast food burger joint has always eluded me on my travels to the other side of the US. We decided to stop by and give it a go for lunch though and I was more pleased than I thought. The trick to eating White Castle? Don't be starving because you'll over order and end up with cold, blah burgers and fries. Get a small order and then place another one after you receive your first so that the burgers are always hot and fresh. Something about those chopped onions and ketchup on a tiny adorable bun make my heart (and tummy) rumble. Once they cooled down though, they weren't very good at all and the buns turn soggy. The sweet potato fries comes with a sweet or chipotle sauce. Get both, they let you. Would I eat this on the west coast? Probably not unless I'm in the mood to pretend I'm a giant. Would I try it again if I was around Como? Sure!

Not sure this is better than the frozen version at SAMs club. Probably good for a hang over, that's about it though. Greasy!

I should have left when I was hit by the stench of dirty, moldy water when I walked in, but I really wanted to see how similar White Castle is to Krystal's. So the smell confirmed that it is likely exactly like Krystal's. I should have left when my order was ready before I knew my total, but I ignored the fact that I could see the guy grab my patties from a pile of precooked meat.; I really just wanted to see what this was all about. I probably should have stopped eating when the burgers actually tasted like dirty water, but I stuck it out because I thought it might just be in my head. It wasn't until the gnats attack that I finally decided to stop eating. I don't think Harold and Kumar ate at this White Castle because, if they had, I doubt they would have agreed to a sequel.

If I could put zero stars I would. I'm from Cali and I was headed to North Carolina and stopped by this amazing food place everyone talked about and even made a movie about how good it was. We ordered and the service was rude. I let them know it was my first time and I was hoping it would be delicious. I later received my food and went back to the counter and said excuse me may I have some ranch please and got ignored twice when there was three men working in the front. Second they gave me two ranches for a order of five people. Ridiculous! And to top it off my uncle ended up throwing up the food an hour later on the drive and my best friend got a really bad stomach ache. My uncle was so excited to go to White Castle to just be completely disappointed. Never again will I ever attend a White Castle.

As two feature films have now taught us, you probably have to be stoned out of your mind to find this food edible. This location is particularly tragic. The meat is always over-seasoned with what I can only assume is some hellacious mixture of salt and human misery. The only thing "extra" about their Pibb Extra is the excess of syrup that makes the drink thicker than an all-syrup Squishy from Kwik-E-Mart. And the lobby always seems to smell like your grandmother's old microwave, if she had just nuked a pile of wet sponges and used panda diapers. Take the money you were going to spend on White Castle, and just buy some gasoline from the Quiktrip down the road. The fumes will be better for you than anything you could ingest at this restaurant.

Much like when Jack and the box moved to town, I got tired of it after about a month. If I had a White Castle in my town, I'm sure I would tire of it as well. As it stands now, as long as I only get White Castle once a year it will be 5 stars from me. Please move to my town so I can get sick of you and give you the 2 stars your food deserves. Until then...

This place is relatively new... But it is a midwest staple. It is a burger you love or you hate. If you haven't tried one it is a small "slider". They cook the onions into the burger and top it with a piece of cheese. The burger gets a little soggy and delicious. Try one if you haven't!

The White Castle Hamburger is like beer, or certain sexual practices in that they are acquired tastes that are either passionately loved or despised without moderation. I happen to passionately love White Castle Hamburgers. It was a tragedy of epic proportions when the chain pulled out of Kansas City. However, I am happier now that I don't have to drive to Wentzville for a fix but only have to drive to Columbia. The restaurant was clean and the service quick enough. The burgers were hot and tasty. Truly this was the food of the gods on Mt. Olympus. I did try the ranch chicken rings and think these are wonderful too when prepared right. The first time I had them, there was plenty of ranch spice. However, next day I ordered them again and they shorted the spice resulting in some disappointment. I went through the drive-thru and found the waiting times to be short and the service always friendly. A good White Castle doesn't stop at eating. You should be able to "remember" them for a bit. The odors of onions and grade A beef followed me for two days constantly reminding everyone around me that I had an excellent gastronomical experience in Columbia.

I have been here twice since they opened, they are as you would expect, delicious bite size burgers, i was disappointed when i went thru the drive-thru last time, they under-filled my drink which is why im giving them 4 stars.
