This place is great. If you like authentic Chinese food, stay away. If you love phony midwestern Chinese food, this is the place for you. They have all of the usual Chinese buffet stuff, but better quality. When it's fresh it can't be beaten, and they do a respectable job of turning the food over and keeping it fresh. They also have mongolian BBQ and sushi, but I didn't try either one. For desert there are 8 flavors of ice cream, and baked sweets. They also have a lot of american items for that crazy member of your family that doesn't like Chinese food.

I've eaten here several times, usually for the Sunday buffet. The selection of food is amazing, and all of it is very good. The staff is polite and friendly, the setting is comfortable and clean. Excellent value, excellent food, excellent service. If you have children, bring pennies for them to throw in the fountain!

I have eaten there a few times and I severely dislike the place. The food has always been cold to luke warm and I am fairly certain that my wife and I have gotten food poisoning from there. Also, the chef for the mongolian grill was very rude and yelled at me, twice, for using too much sauce. The wait staff is only so-so. They are prompt about getting plates removed and refilling drinks but other than that, they have a general "don't give a S#!T" attitude.

First buffet that I would recommend. The food was fresh, you actually got refills on soda. And back to the food again, they had a huge variety! Give them a try, I don't think you'll be sorry.

Excellent Buffet ... Craw Fish, Pork Ribs, many options. Soups are very tasty not over salty at all and very flavorful. New family staple for us in Rochester!

Ok place with over cooked food and dirty patrons frequenting the food bars. Nice assortment of fried and steamed food. I've seen much better and I've seen much worse.

One of the freshest buffets I have been to, no matter what the time. They also have a mongolian grill and a small sushi bar, but don't get too excited. The sushi bar primarily has small rolls with immitation crab and a lot of rice. But it's something, and it's never been bad. They also have an ice cream bar (that includes green tea ice cream), dessert bar, fresh fruits and veggies, and a variety of Asian and American dishes. Great for hangovers!

We were frequent customers, until we had three cockroaches in our booth and were told they're crumbs. I've never seen running crumbs in my life. It was clearly roaches. When I called the olmsted county health dept, they said there has been numerous complaints about the roach infestation.

Wow! I was not expecting much, just a decent buffet I could take grandma to for lunch. There was way more food than I expected, fresh, friendly, and tasty. They had the regular Chinese food, a Salad bar, some sushi, Some Dim Sum, a Mongolian grill and of course deserts. One of the best Chinese buffets I have ever been too. (Grandma, Mum & Da all liked it too)

Everything was great! We thought all the food was delicious, fresh and hot.. There was delicious shrimp, snow crab, and basic sushi options.. And the price was fair! We were very happy with our visit.

Very nice selection of typical Western Chinese food on the buffet. As a bonus, they have a large and tasty selection of Americanized sushi. If you are in the mood for this type of food (we all get those cravings), Kingdom Buffet will make you very happy. The most notable aspect of the place? The owner/manager that works here. I've never seen such an attentive employee. He ran (I'm not kidding, he literally ran quickly) around the place making sure everyone was happy, that the food met his standards, and that the place was spotless (Kingdom Buffet was one of the cleanest Chinese Buffets I've ever visited). The employees and service definitely get a 5/5 stars. The price includes a soft drink and ranges from $10-15 a person.

Food Posioning waiting to happen! After having a bad experience here several years ago, decided to give it a try again, since some friends wanted to go there. Should have stayed away. didn't take much on my first ( and only plate of food) about 5 items. Took a bite of the piece of sushi I got and spit it out because it tasted old. Then took a bite of this peppery chicken dish, it was cold, so spit it out. Then tried this beef dish just tatsed ok, but the beef was on the leathery side, So may of had 2 bites of that. Then had a piece of shamui , that actaully was warm and tasted fine ( probably bought from a store in the frozen section). And finally tasted a steamed bun, that I was expecting to contain meat , but was disappointed that it contained mung bean. I am susrprised this place hasn't been shutdown due to it's unsafe food practices. You need to keep hot food hot, and cold food cold, or someone is going to get sick. Also the waiter went to grab another person's plate at the table, and spilled all over the chair of the person that was out getting food, and just took off without saying anything. When we flagged him down , he didn't even say he was sorry. Just wiped it up and left. Then when we went to pay, told the cashier how disappointed I was and she didn't even say nothing. Finally I said I ate like 3 small spoonfuls of food and you are not even going to offer a discount. Finally she did return some money. Very disappointed will not be back. Stay away, if would don't want to get sick or go hungry.

if you pass the door and go to the kitchen, the food is placed on dirty container on the ground. They also do not pay their waitter and host. their workers only earn money from Tips. Such a worst place, dirty and make illegal immigrants work for free. This kind of business shouldn't exist.

The Buffett is huge. $8.95 for lunch. $11.95 M- Thursday for evening buffet and $12.95 for Friday and Saturday evening. The Mongolian Grill did not have a ton of different choices, but it was the best food there. The sushi was basic and it was super Americanized. All of the seafood from the coconut shrimp, to the salmon, to the sushi, was pretty ho-hum. For non-Chinese eaters there were quite a few options available: pizza, criss-cross fries and meatloaf are a few I remember. The service was fast and timely. They did have plenty of baked sweets and 8 kinds of ice cream that I didn't have the stomach space to try. All 4 of us at the table found plenty of food we liked to eat, would go back if we come back to Rochester just because it has such a broad selection.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
