Friendly bartenders and nice ambiance. I went during the day. I feel like it would be busy at night judging by the number of flat screen TVs.

Nothing Irish about this place at all. It's a sports bar with a lot of large tvs, American bar food and drinks. Food is below apple bees as a reference. Price is ok for what it is. The music was way too loud when we were there, everyone at my table had to lean over and talk loudly to converse. Music was good, lots of 80s music when we were there on a Saturday.

So many beers on tap its almost hard to choose. Food is great and was introduced to pepper on popcorn, it was really good.

Strong drinks, decent bar food! The bartender said they're coming out with a brand new menu in the next few weeks..will return for that and rate again.

Notice: There is an unmentioned dress code. The owner of Dooley's refused to 'have me in' & I was greeted by 2 security guards at the door because I was wearing a plain white t-shirt. Know your colors fool, white is a neutral color. Needless I will never go back because of the way I was treated, and I refuse to spend my money at such an establishment.

They call this Irish? Well, they have a leprechaun for a mascot and Guinness on tap, but that's about all that's Irish about this place. "Sports bar" would be a better descriptor--I think they have more TVs than the local Best Buy. I'm not exactly sure what kind of vibe they are going for, and I don't think they owners do either. I don't just say this on account of the bar's mistaken identity as an "Irish Pub"; the physical layout is confusing as well. The booths around the perimeter of the place are a buzzkill for a pub-like atmosphere--they make me feel like I'm in TGIFridays. On the other hand, the circular bar in the middle is hard to miss. It seems that the area toward the back, just past the bar, is the official "stand around and mingle" area, which seems problematic since it wasn't intended for this, and loiterers impede foot traffic. Is this one of those "get your drink at the bar, then find some people to stand and chat with" places? It's not clear. Oh yeah, there's a patio outside (on the sidewalk) too. I guess this is the type of place you go when you're not sure how you want to roll. The crowd here seems younger than at other places, although people of all ages could be found (yeah, someone even brought an infant when I was here one evening). The perks? Well, they have Guinness on tap and all-you-can-eat popcorn to munch on (à la Newt's--yum!). Oh yeah, did I mention they have Guinness on tap? This is so-far the only bar in downtown Rochester I've found that has Guinness on tap, although I will admit that my search has not been exhaustive. I just know that Kathy's doesn't have it on tap. Neither does Chesters, Redwood Room or City Cafe/Newt's. Okay, maybe Dooley's isn't so bad. If tolerating the faux Irish Pub shtick is the price I have to pay for Guinness on tap, so be it. Prices were average and the waitstaff was good. I could see myself coming back here again.

Nice atmosphere, very good food and Guiness on tap. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back next time we are back in town.

Nice place. We've driven by it a few times, but we finally decided to go there for a little work get together. If you're looking for a sports bar/restaurant, this is the place. Server was nice, but it took awhile to get the bill. Very nice outdoor seating.

If you're going here to eat anything other than popcorn I would save your money! I had toasted cheese @ lunch, first it was made as a ham and cheese which I didn't order, then it came out with 2 unmatching slices of bread & the cheese was hardly melted! Looks like they don't care about the presentation or quality of their food! I would still go here for drinks because it's a realty cool atmosphere and usually pretty busy in the evenings but just pick up dinner somewhere else before you go.

I would rate the service at the bar with less than one star. The taste of the sliders, really good four stars, cost for those sliders.... well, good thing my corporate card was buying.
