The service was good (however, we visited late on Monday evening, which means there were few clients to serve). The food was served quickly. The fruit and chicken salad is a new menu item that is really good. The cherry pie and apple pie with ice cream were also good. Although the pies were pretty, I have eaten slightly tastier ones. This is my main reason for giving four stars instead of five.

This chain had never let me down until tonight. It was pretty quiet and my companion and I were seated immediately. I noticed there were almost constant high-pitched sounds coming from the kitchen and asked the waitress if it was going to stop. She apologized and said that usually the place was noisy enough that people don't hear it. The manager came out a minute later and apologized, said it was the microwave, and turned the in-house music on, way too loud. Someone turned it down, the waitress took our order, and in a quiet restaurant we waited 20 minutes for 2 cups of (presumably microwaved) soup and 2 half sandwiches. The kitchen got mine wrong (how do you screw up a tuna melt?) and he comped it. Every attempt was made to make it right, and they were apologetic, but I won't be back. The place is a hot mess.

Had lunch today at Bakers Square. I had the fish and chips with cole slaw. The food was very well prepared. Once again Amanda was the server. Once again we had exceptional service. The one down fall of the visit involved the greeter..an older gentleman (63+). When he greeted us (which took a while) I asked him to seat us at a table. As we were walking to the seat I changed my mind and asked for a booth. As he was seating us I mentioned that I had changed my mind and would like to have a both. In a very unpleasant voice he said " you asked for a table" then mumbled something to himself. I think that he performed his job in a very in professional manner. He is the sole reason that 4 instead of 5 stars . So much for bad attitudes in young workers only.

I've had better service at McDonald's. Let that sink in for a minute. We got out food before our drinks and what we got was way off. The country fried steak was so rubbery I consider using it to patch a slow leak in our cars tire. It's pretty bad when the manager is apologizing to every table around us. People next to us waited over an hour for food and behind us had stuff floating in the water and they forgot half their tables food. Seriously go elsewhere.

So... We went to the number 1 Rated Trendy Place first. One hour wait. What are we going to do? We rolled up on Baker Square from the outside it looked alright. we are greeted by very friendly staff who got us seated immediately. Seem to be pretty clean and we saw staffers actually cleaning in the background. Upon ordering, our meal came very very quickly. Music volume at just the right level so you can actually have a conversation. Listening to the Bee Gees right now. A band we actually know, cool. Our waitress, Jenny was ever so delightful and of course offered us pie. And of course you can get breakfast all day long. So, if you're hungry you want to eat quickly, but get a good meal, this is alright.

I'm giving Baker's Square three stars as I would give the food a two and the pie a four. The breakfast crepes are good but the other breakfast items are nothing special. The sandwiches are small and overpriced. Usually good service. Amanda is a hilarious waitress! They have an excellent variety of pie - almost any kind you could think of. I haven't had a bad slice yet!

I can only base my review on the 4 minutes that it took me to run inside, order a slice of French Silk, pay, and get out. But the restaurant seemed clean, the employees were friendly and seemed to be working hard. The restaurant was quite busy, and it was like 9 o'clock at night on a weeknight! My slice of french silk was heavenly. The gave me a fork/napkin to-go. I'm not usually a huge fan of "chain" restaurants - but Baker's Square absolutely has DELICIOUS pies. I'm a fan. I'm a total sucker specifically for their french silk, which I opt for in place of birthday cakes, etc.. Mmmmmm I'm drooling just thinking about it.

I don't go to Baker's Square for the food; I go for the pie. Doesn't everyone? The food isn't really anything to yelp about, but the pie certainly is. When I was in high school, my friends and I could be found there, on any given night, devouring the pie. I've had practically every kind of pie on the menu, and my favorites are the french silk, the caramel pecan silk supreme, the french apple cream cheese, and the fudge brownie (not a pie, I know, but it makes a nice sundae). On this visit, my boyfriend and I got a slice of the coconut cream and the caramel pecan silk supreme. I'd never had the coconut, and I really enjoyed it. And of course, the caramel pecan silk supreme did not disappoint. It was very rich and decadent. I've eaten a meal at Baker's Square once or twice, and the food wasn't bad. But I find that it's best to cut to the chase and go straight for the pie.

If you are an elderly person, this is where to hangout....apparently. Food was okay. Pie was really good. We had no idea and were just looking for a place to eat. It has the feel of an Ihop, Bob Evans or Dennys.
