Healthy Meal suggestions for Ruby Tuesday

Food was OK. Host and trainee hostess seemed a bit disheveled. Had to ask they turn the heat up. Everyone had jackets on. Should have been a clue. Was surprised when I was told they were out of salmon and then came back also out of asparagus. Overall staff seemed, well, green and confused. Almost got the feeling they were on the last legs before closing. Used to enjoy stopping but this was not the same venue. Most likely last visit.

One work can describe my experience at the Ruby Tuesday at Southdale Shopping Center, SALT. Salt salt salt. Everything was waaaay over salted. I have the shrimp and grits which has Andouille sausage so I expected it to have some salt taste to it. Boy I was not expecting the salt lick of a dish that was placed in front of me. Even the tiny biscuits that came with the dish were over salted. One the plus side, the girl who served us was extremely nice and the service was fast and our drinks were filled and the dining experience was overall quite pleasant. Not sure I would eat there again anytime soon, but I am sure there are dishes on the menu that would satisfy my appetite.

Great service, good food and clean - this location meets my Ruby Tuesday expectations. They have a salad bar that can be ordered with an entree in place of one side. The only disappointment was the old lettuce at the salad bar and that the temperature was so cold that some of the vegetables were frozen (but it looks like it was replaced when the dinner rush started picking up). I like that they don't over salt the food so you can add as you like.

MEH... giant happy hour sign but small happy hour deals. Service ok, food good, atmosphere poor, overall below average and I prefer applebees right across the street. MEH

Staff generally seemed well-intentioned but confused. Overwhelmed? Understaffed? This state of disarray was upgraded to inconsistent service (some guests had seemingly awake and experienced wait staff while other staff remained confused) when additional staff appeared, maybe easing the work load. Food was good. Salad bar was fresh. Biscuits took a while to arrive, but came hot from the oven, lopsided on the plate. Our soup got cold as we ate our salads, so we asked for the two bowls to be microwaved. The employee seemed unsure how to carry the two bowls, but we eventually got them back, hot and delicious. *Update* As of 6:30 am the following morning, I just realized that besides not clearing our plates when he brought our check, our waiter didn't offer dessert or coffee. Um, ok...to sum it up, it was like having dinner at a restaurant staffed by 10 year olds. You know the service could be so much better, but don't want to hurt their feelings since they're trying so hard.

SLOW SERVICE! Went there around 3pm on a weekday, when they had 2 servers working a total of 3 tables. You'd think we'd get attentive service? HAH! The hostess was quick to seat us, but it was close to 10 minutes until a server took our drink order. Another 10 minutes drinks finally arrived. The whole time we are watching the 2 servers hanging out by the bar area just BSing with the bartender. Ordered the triple prime burger, which was very tasty. Fries were so so. Ketchup comes in a dinky silver cup (no bottle) and asking for extra took a 5-10 minute wait and I was given another partially filled dinky cup. Wasn't worth the hassle to me to keep asking for more. Next time I want a sit down restaurant burger, I'll just go to Red Robin. My wife had the salad bar and had to literally run to the bathroom as we pulled in our driveway.

This Ruby Tuesday is like all the others. Not a bad place but it just does not grab me. I wont be back.

It's a Ruby Tuesday. The service was fine and my waiter was friendly. My order was correct and exactly as I had ordered. I do like that RT has a fair selection of fish entrees on the menu. I also like that they serve Coke Zero. I do think the salad bar needs to be updated and maybe some new items added. Entrees come with a choice of 2 sides of which there are several to choose. Not a bad place but not a place for the pseudo-intellectual snobasota crowd.

Ive been there twice, and its a sad sad sad disgusting place. 1st visit. We wanted to get some drinks before the movie. We had about 40 min, we sat down and informed our waiter that we would like some drinks and we have to leave soon. And then we waited, and waited and waited. And no drinks were coming. We didn't even see our waiter anymore. We waited for about 25 min for drinks that never came. 2nd visit. We came later in the evening. I ordered the mini burgers. They looked like one of those inner city school lunches that has been frozen for years and microwaved after. Disgusting, rubbery and flavorless. Never Again. Avoid diarrhea and complete lack of service. go somewhere else.

Nice place with a friend service staff. Food is just decent however and as a result it doesn't rank very high on my frequent visit list.

I forgot that Ruby Tuesday, now complete with square plates and metal ramekins for sauce was shedding it's awkward stained-glass lampshade phase. How elegant for a chain. They offer a "happy hour" in the bar, but then offer the same deal at the table for the entirety of the meal. Not gonna lie, I felt a little shammed. On the other side of the coin, I really needed that Sangria. The salad bar was what I expected, although there were some ice chunks in with the iceberg lettuce. That doesn't really say "fresh" or "delicious" to me. Had the mini-veggie burgers. Honestly, the first veggie burgers I've ever had. They kind of fell apart while I was eating them but the BBQ sauce killed any sort of untoward flavors I could have experienced. And apparently they do unlimited servings of fries now? It's kind of like a Red Robin with nicer decor.

I don't like this place. I have had nothing but bad experiences since they changed their menu. I used to LOVE the veggie burger here but then they got rid of it. I've come here many times, tried a lot of the menu. I honestly haven't had a single thing that I would call good. So sad.

Overall, I had a good experience. The food was good, but not great. I would recommend this restaurant but it isn't one of my favorites. I had the triple prime bacon cheddar burger. It was tasty and filling but was a not one of the best burgers I have tasted. I would say that it is average at best even though it was made of choice cuts of steak ground up together and then grilled. The service was good but I felt that the server was hovering and was pushing us to get more than we wanted. She needs to learn to back off and be less intrusive.
